Chapter Text
Tsukishima’s POV-
“Hey Tsuki! You said you were looking for a place to move right?” Hinata says abruptly after reading something on his phone.
“Yeah why?” I say in response, already prepared to hear bullshit.
“Look! My friend posted this last week!” He says shoving the phone in my face. It’s a post about someone looking for four housemates and the only requirements are being a male, check, having manners, check, and being tidy, check, maybe Hinata is useful.
“Just send it to me, having your phone this close to my face is seriously giving me a headache.”
“Ok!” Hinata replies chirpy as ever before forwarding the post from instagram to me.
“I still can’t believe you're going pro after all of that ‘It’s just a club’ talk.” Kageyama says, doing only what I can imagine to be an impression of me.
“I still can’t believe you’re keeping that shitty hair cut, but to each his own I guess” I say shrugging my shoulders drawing an unamused scowl from the Schweiden player.
“How do you know him, Hinata?” Yamaguchi asks in reference to the poster as he reads through it from my phone.
“He’s on my team!” Hinata says in his usual manner. “His name is Bokuto, I think I've mentioned him to you guys before though.” He continues.
“Wait Bokuto, as in the one you said is like your ‘missing piece’ yeah i’m good on the offer if he acts anything like you.” I say eliciting a giggle from Yams and the king.
“ Ok, so fuck you too? Anyways, he’s not that bad to live with!” Hinata says.
“And how exactly would you know that?” I say, quirking my brow in mock suspicion.
“Well there was that one time the team had to share a hotel room and he is really good at cooking and not so much tidying up but he’s good at the other stuff!” Hinata supplies in response to my question.
“Yeah, whatever I’ll look into it since it’s close to the frogs practice gym.” I say rolling my eyes before taking another bite of my strawberry shortcake.
“Aye I’m like such a useful friend guys!” Hinata says, clearly proud of himself for helping two of his friends at once.
“Yeah totally ‘useful’ Hinata.” Yamaguchi says in response, clearly being sarcastic.
“Ok so is this like everyone against Hinata day or something?” Hinata says with a hand clutching his chest, faking pain.
“That's like everyday though?” Kageyama says before the two start fighting from where they sit next to each other.

As I sit on the couch I click on the messages between me and the shrimp so I can review the post from earlier. After rereading it and contemplating for a minute I decided that this would be my best choice so I am going to call the homeowner, Bokuto, using the number attached to the post.
“Uhm Hello?” I say, unsure if anyone is on the other end of the line.
“Hi! Uhm who is this exactly?” A chirpy voice replied from the other end.
“My name is Tsukishima, I’m calling to ask about the post you made for housemates. I heard about it through a mutual friend, Hinata?”
“Ohh, So you wanna move in?”
“Uh yeah” I respond, skeptical of how trusting the man seems.
“Ok! I just have to ask you 3 quick questions, are you ready?”
“Uhm..Yea I guess”
“Ok! First, are you a tidy person?”
“Yes,” I replied shortly.
“Good! Second, do you have good manners?”
“Yes I do.”
“Ok ok, and lastly, are you ok with living with 4 other people.”
“Uhm.. yea I am” I say taking some time to consider the situation before answering.
“Ok! Then you can move in whenever you’re ready. I have already found 3 other house mates so you'll be taking the last and final spot” Bokuto responds, 100% too trusting.
“Alright” I say before we set a date for me to move my stuff in.
________________________________
Moving day had finally arrived and now that the most dreadful part, packing, was over, all that was left was to move everything into the house which shouldn’t be that hard with Aki helping me. According to Bokuto there was only one room left since I was the last to reply but whatever, at least I didn’t have to share a room with anybody, which would’ve probably been my personal hell. I put in the code Bokuto gave me after we set up the arrangements for me to move in. Upon entering the house I immediately notice two things. For one, this house is nice as hell, not like a mansion nice but still really nice. Secondly, though the house wasn’t exactly filthy it wasn’t as neat as I would’ve expected, I mean one of the requirements is being neat but whatever I guess.
Bypassing the living room I head straight upstairs, and as I stand at the top of the steps it's already clear which room is going to be mine. The rooms, although scattered along the second floor, are still relatively close to one another with two of the five doors facing each other. The first door is adorned with sports stickers making its occupancy clear, the second door has a poster hanging from it and from the looks of it me and that person may get along since the poster is from a book I really enjoy. The third door has a very noticeable red board that says “KEEP OUT” which honestly I can’t blame him, and the last door, that faces directly across from my soon to be room, much like the first, has a bunch of sports stickers along with some cat ones.
After looking over the doors I begin to make my way to the room that is undoubtedly mine. I entered the nicely sized room, spacious but not too much for one person, and placed the box I was carrying in my arms on the floor before taking a look around. There was already a bed positioned against the wall and beside it was a window with white curtains and though appreciative I’m glad I brought my own black out curtains. Looking at how nice the room is I can’t help but wonder how nice the other rooms are which leads to me wondering how my housemates are.
Finally content with how much I’ve looked around I begin heading back downstairs to gather the rest of my belongings. I make my way to the car knocking on the passenger side window catching my brother's attention from his phone call and through the window I see him quickly mutter something over the phone before hanging up and getting out of the car. We begin to unload my belongings from the car and lug them up to my room.
When we finished lugging my stuff to my room, only an hour had passed. After saying our goodbyes, and much to my dismay, hugging, I sent my brother back home. After watching him drive off I head back up to my room mentally preparing myself for the work that was to come.
It had been two hours since I had begun unpacking when I heard the door open, prepared to make introductions and meaningless small talk, I began descending down the stairs in search of the mystery person.
In an art to avoid startling whoever may be downstairs I make presence known through unnecessarily but not extremely, loud footsteps. After reaching the last step I see the person is, much to my dismay, unaware of my presence and relaxing on the couch playing some type of game.
“Uh Hello, I’m your new housemate.” I say with the kindest tone I can push out of my sarcastic mouth. The person startles, turning to face me looking like a spooked cat before settling back into his comfortable position with a hand on his chest.
“Hi..” The man says before turning back to his game, his long hair swishing with the movement. Taking that as my que to leave I begin making my way back to my room where I finish unpacking and putting away my belongings.
After entering my room I take a moment to analyze the encounter from earlier. The man from earlier had longer hair with blonde tips, which seems like a grown out dye job. His eyes were sharp and golden, and he was not to mention very handsome. His features fit together like a well crafted puzzle piece and his characteristics made what seemed to be a perfectly androgynous face and from how he reacted I can only assume his door is the one with the “KEEP OUT” sign plastered on it.
Tearing my thoughts away from the man, whose name I do not know, and onto the pile of clothes begging to be put away I begin my pursuit of putting away the rest of my belongings.
Finally finishing my tasks for day 1 of moving, I take a seat on my bed ready to get some shut eye.
