Chapter 1: Are You Thinking What I'm Thinking?

Chapter Text

“Do you think my brother and your sister like each other?” Yuji randomly asked Todo.

Todo, who was busy coloring the illustrations on his textbook, looked up at Yuji. “Hmm, yeah, I think so too.”

The two of them had noticed for a while that their older siblings seemed to have secret feelings for each other. Yuji often comes over to Todo’s house to play with him every summer vacation or semestral break. Choso always comes with him because their mom said Yuji could only go to someone’s house if Choso was there to look after him. That’s why Choso and Yuki, Todo’s sister, often see each other.

As time passes by, they both start to act as if there is something romantic going on between them but were either too shy or scared to admit it. The lingering eye contact, their voices softening when they talk to each other, awkwardness surrounding the two of them, and the palpable tension going on between them were enough for Yuji and Todo to suspect that there must be something going on between the two.

Yuji tried asking Choso if he liked Yuki and he just laughed at him. Todo did the same and only got one heck of a complicated answer in return

“Bigster dresses up more whenever you and your brother is going to come over. She usually wears Daddy’s old T-shirts and shorts,” Todo added.

“I also noticed Choso stared using his expensive perfume whenever we go to your house too,” Yuji said.

“I am sure that they like each other, I’m gonna bet our house and lot on it.”

The two of them went quiet for a while, trying to connect the dots so they could come up with a solid hypothesis and finding a way of confirming it.

A few seconds later, sinister smile appeared on their faces.

“Are you thinking what I’m thinking?” the two of them said in unison.
