“Yo, Nerd!” Izuku looked around, his head whipping so fast as he looked for the voice calling him. Suddenly, he was flicked at the back of his head, turning around, “Kaachan! Hello!” Izuku said, beaming up to the taller man.
Katsuki grew quite a bit after UA, reaching around 6’4, while Izuku grew only a few inches, resulting in his 5’8 height. “Have you been waiting long?” Izuku asked, smiling.
“No, I timed it just right. How's the flight?”
“It was good, Kaachan! It was my first time getting on Emirates! It was so cool, everything was so fancy, and they even gave us these pajamas that I can take home!” Izuku gushed, twirling around to show Katsuki the long-sleeved gray pajamas the airline provided.
“You do know it’s winter, right?” Katsuki said slowly, eyeing the man’s outfit.
“I know, Kaachan. But see, this is long-sleeved! I’m probably going to be fine! I used this before the layover, and it wasn’t really that cold, you know?” Izuku insisted, still smiling and playing with the pajama’s fabric.
“First of all, Dummy, you didn’t wear something for the cold, and second, you had to do that layover in Dubai for a quick meeting with Dubai’s heroes for a mission that’s and its hot as shit in Dubai,” Katsuki said, ruffling Izuku’s hair with a soft smile.
“But Kaachan, it wasn’t that cold yet in the States, and D-Dubai too, it wasn’t hot! It was just right. I told you that!” Pouting, Izuku pushed Katsuki’s hand away. Huffing, “Let’s go now.” Izuku stomped away like a child. He just came back after a long mission in the USA, and Katsuki’s first reaction to him was to scold him like a child. He could’ve at least hugged him or something.
Chuckling, Katsuki walked after Izuku. As he reached the greenette, he grabbed the man’s arm and spun him around. There he was, the prettiest of them all, pouting and refusing to look up at him. “C’mon now, nerd.” Katsuki reached for Izuku’s luggage and placed it on his side while the latter crossed his arms in defiance.
“Arms up.”
“Huh?” Izuku finally looked up, taking the chance, Katsuki slipped a Ground Zero hoodie on the greenette.
“Oh.”
“Up”
Izuku lifted his arms up, following the taller one’s instructions as butterflies filled his stomach. He let the man dress him up as he just stared. “What?” Katsuki asked, raising an eyebrow.
“Nothing.” Clearing his throat as his neck warmed from the blush creeping up to his cheeks, he then tried to grab the luggage back.
“Nope.” Katsuki said, popping the “p.”
“Let’s get you home, nerd.” Katsuki grabbed the suitcase handles and walked in front of Izuku, knowing that the nerd would follow him.
Letting out a deep breath, Izuku rushed to follow Katsuki’s long strides as warmth filled his cheeks. “Hehe,” the greenette giggled as he pulled the sweater’s sleeves down, engulfing his hands in the fabric completely.
As they reached Katsuki’s car, Izuku would never ever admit it, but Katsuki was right, it was so cold! He would never admit that Katsuki was right, though – never.
Katsuki loaded up Izuku’s things in his trunk, purposely not opening the car doors and watching Izuku try to fight off the shivers. He looked so adorable standing in the couple of inches of snow, nose red from the cold, and eyes darting around as he tried to distract himself. Izuku looked like a baby in a bear costume, his hoodie swallowing his frame. Although Izuku grew a lot of muscles for his quirk, he was still significantly smaller in stature compared to Katsuki, making him look smaller in the taller man’s sweater.
Shaking his head, Katsuki closed the trunk, “Get in.” He said gruffly. Izuku couldn’t take the cold anymore and rushed for the car’s door handle.
He immediately sat down at the front and buckled his seatbelt, still acting as if he were not cold. Katsuki was removing his puffer jacket and placing it in the back seat. Barely sparing Izuku a glance. He knew the man was cold; he usually got cold easily, and he just wanted Izuku to admit he was being stubborn.
But who is Katsuki if he’s not even slightly weak for Izuku?
Izuku felt his seat heat up. He looked towards Katsuki and noticed a slight blush on his cheek as he looked back to reverse out of the Airport’s parking lot. Smiling to himself, he looked down at his hands as he fiddled with the hoodie’s garterized bottom.
Silence took over the wonder duo as Katsuki drove towards Izuku’s apartment. When they arrived, Izuku opened the door and smelled food.
“OH my god, you did not!” Izuku shouted while running inside, leaving his luggage and Katsuki by the door.
Contrary to what Izuku knows, Katsuki was actually almost late to pick up Izuku, all because “I made Katsudon. I know I wasn’t supposed to use your emergency key whenever, but you’ve been telling me how much you fuckin’ missed Japanese food, so, yeah…” Katsuki trailed off, scratching his nape.
“Kaachan, you’re the best!” Izuku squealed, running towards the taller man and jumping into his arms.
“Hey!” Katsuki shouted as the luggage was knocked over, hands scrambling to hold Izuku up. Giggling, Izuku hugged Katsuki tight, wrapping his legs around the man.
Katsuki hugged him back, placing his face into the juncture of the man’s neck, inhaling his scent. “I missed you.” The blonde mumbled into Izuku’s skin.
“What?” Izuku asked, pulling away slightly to look at Katsuki.
“Nothing.”
Time seemed to still as red orbs met Izuku’s evergreens. Gulping, they stared into each other. Katsuki’s head spins as he faintly smells Izuku’s scent. Intoxicated with Izuku’s signature musky citrus perfume, he was enthralled.
Izuku was no different. Katsuki has always been and is so beautiful. His quirk provides him with the most amazing skin ever, always clear, no blemishes, and god, Katsuki smells like caramel. He had always smelled so good ever since they were younger. He always smelled good and looked good.
The close proximity placed both of them into their own world. Izuku admired Katsuki’s beauty, and Katsuki did the same thing as he counted the freckles on Izuku’s red cheeks.
“Here we go.” Katsuki thought as he slowly leaned in to kiss Izuku. Blushing, Izuku started leaning forward slowly, too.
Once their nose brushed against each other, the door suddenly burst open, “Helloooo! We saw Kats’ car during patrol, you guys here?” The voice shouted, Izuku jumped as Katsuki’s grip under his tight faltered.
“OOOOHHHH,” Kirishima wooed, as he walked into the living room.
“THEY WERE GETTING FREA-KEEEY!” Denki screamed at the ones still in the hallway.
“WHERE LET ME SEE WHERE!” Mina pushed past Denki, “WAIT, MINA, LET ME SEE TOO!” Ochako shouted, pushing Denki to the side.
“Damn, women, CHILL! You guys don’t act like this with Shinso and me, what gives?” Denki pouted as he pushed himself off the wall.
“Jesus Christ…” Izuku murmured, covering his face with his hands as the girls squealed, jumping around them.
“YOU HAVE KATSUKI’S SWEATER ON!”
“FUCK YOU, PINKY!”
Katsuki grumbled, pushing the two squealing women away. “Welcome back, ‘Zuku!” Ochaco hugged Izuku tightly, “Did you kiss?” She whispered, “NO! FUCK YOU, CHEEKS! YOU LOUD FUCK!” Katsuki screamed, tiny bursts of his quirk popping as he reached for the woman.
“Nope!” She giggled, poking Katsuki and using float on him. “FUCKING CHEEKS PUT ME DOWN I WILL KILL YOU!” The blonde threatens as he proceeds to float up towards Izuku’s high ceilings, giggling. Mina grabs Izuku’s hands as she swings them from side to side.
“Ne, ne, ‘Zuku, were you able to kiss him in the car?” Mina asked, wiggling her eyebrows at the greenette.
Izuku was so red, from the tips of his ears down to his collar bones.
“No! It wasn’t like that, I swear! We weren’t kissing at all or anything! Kaachan was just seriously helping me, and I was just really happy that he picked me up, that he cooked for me, that he took the time out of his day to do all these things for me, and that he didn’t think I was being a burden or anything. I swear I was just so so so happy he came to get me, and he even made me katsudon and cleaned my apartment, and he just made me feel so welcome back, you know, it was just a h-h-hug, I-I swear! Kaachan would never!” Izuku explained, flailing his arms around as he panicked.
Laughter filled the room, Kirishima doubling over as Izuku ended his mumbles of panic. “Sure, bud!” Denki said, leaning against the wall as he giggled over Izuku’s antics.
“Hear that explodey boy, Izuku thinks you would never kiss him!” Mina shouted, looking up at the now equally red Katsuki Bakugo.
“If you don’t get out RIGHT NOW, I will actually fucking KILL YOU YOU PINK FUCKIN PIECE OF FUCKIN RAT ACID GET OUT!” Katsuki squirmed in the air as he tried to reach closer to Mina.
Laughing at the rage-baited man up at the ceiling, Mina nodded at Ochako as they both leaned towards Izuku and kissed his cheeks.
“MWA!” The pair sounded.
“If you keep on stalling, I’ll definitely steal him for our third, right, Kiri?” Mina teased, “Or he could be Iida, and I’s third~” Ochako added
“TO HELL WITH THAT, WHAT THE FUCK!” Katsuki screamed
The girls giggled, kissing Izuku’s cheeks again.
“Good luck, Baku!” Mina said in a sing-song voice.
“Bye, cutie ‘Zuku! See you later! Enjoy!” Ochako waved goodbye as she pinched Izuku’s cheek one last time.
“Bye, Zuku bear! See you later!”
“Bye, dudes, and Mina’s right, I might think about it!” Kirishima winked, looking up at the ceiling.
“Kaachan and ‘Zuku sittin on a tree..” Denki trailed off
“K-I-S-S-I-N-G,” The four shouted in unison while running towards the exit, keeping Bakugo distracted by turning off Ochako’s float.
Groaning as he landed on the floor, “I’M GOING TO KILL YOU!” Katsuki screamed, stumbling towards the door. Laughter filled the hallway as the four ran out of the building away from the murderous blonde.
Izuku was still frozen on the spot in the middle of the living room as he held his cheeks. The girls just kissed him! Girls kissed him!
Panting, Katsuki walked back inside Izuku’s apartment, disheveled and crouching as he caught his breath. Standing up, he closed the door behind him and locked it.
Reaching for the fridge, Katsuki grabbed the water jug and poured himself some water. “Fucking cheeks and pinky ruining my fucking day, what the fuck.” He grumbled as he panted less.
“They kissed me!” Izuku shouted, snapping out of his trance.
“Yes, they did, nerd. Good job discerning that, smart ass.” Katsuki said, rolling his eyes.
“They. Kissed. ME!” Izuku said yet again, pointing at himself as he looked at Katsuki in disbelief.
“What, you like cheeks and pinky kissing you now? Call them then and make them eat the Katsudon I made for all I care.” Katsuki pouted, turning around and grabbing his keys.
“What? No!” Izuku scrambled towards Katsuki, holding his arms as he stood firmly in front of him.
“Kaachan, no!”
“What? You liked getting kissed by them. Let them take care of you now, or even better, let rocks for brains take care of you.” Grumbling, Katsuki pushes past Izuku, reaching for the door handle.
Izuku ran towards the door, blocking it with his arms out, legs spread, trying to barricade Katsuki.
“No, Kaacan, don’t leave, please.”
“S’fine, Zuku, I get it.”
“Ugh, you’re so frustrating!” Izuku stomped, tears filling his eyes as he grabbed the front of Katsuki’s shirt.
“Y-y-you never even tried to do anything with me! You don’t hug me when you see me after a long time, you cook for me, you take care of me, you make sure I sleep, and you make sure I’m healthy! You never look at me that way, you don’t do anything! I’ve been waiting for years! You’re so torpe!” Izuku shouted in frustration, shaking the man back and forth.
“Torpe? The fuck is that?” Katsuki looked down at the man, holding back his smile.
“I don’t know! That’s what another hero said when I got drunk, and I missed you, but you won’t answer my calls, but you told me to be safe and wear my cold thingies, and then you just left me on read!” Izuku sobbed as he shook Katsuki.
“Now, now, shhh, Zuku, don’t sob.” Katsuki raised his hand, wiping the greenette’s tears away as they fell.
“You don’t do anything.” Izuku looked up at Katsuki, his eyes still filled with tears, his lips wobbling.
“I’m sorry.”
“You don’t like me, and I’m just assuming things because how can I not? You cook for me, you take care of me as you care about me, you pick me up at the airport after missions, and you clean my apartment for me when I can’t! How could I not assume things, Katsuki? Tell me, how do I not?” Izuku let go of his hold on Katsuki’s shirt, letting his hands fall on his sides.
“I’m sorry, ‘Zuku. I’m just scared, baby.” Katsuki said softly, still wiping Izuku’s tears.
“Don’t 'baby' me! You always baby me. Is this why you never do anything! I’m so confused! You lead me on, and then when I cry, you call me baby, and then when I’m frustrated, you laugh at me! What if I do want to take Mina or Chako’s offer, huh? Of course, you wouldn’t care ‘cause you still see me as your childhood friend and no more than that! Ugh!” Pushing Katsuki away, Izuku walked towards his bedroom, throwing himself on the bed.
Katsuki followed the sobbing man, sitting on the side of the bed. He pulled Izuku towards him. Not wanting to see Katsuki’s face, Izuku remained face down as he was pulled towards the man’s lap.
Sighing, Katsuki let Izuku cry with his face mushed on Katsuki’s jeans. “Izuku, baby, I’m sorry. I’m scared, okay? You know how we used to be, you know how scared I was to be friends with you again, let alone be in a romantic relationship with you. I did all those because I liked you, my baby. I’m scared, okay? I was going to confess today, if you just lift your head and look around your room, you’ll understand, baby.”
Izuku sniffled, still trying to get mad at Katsuki but blushing at the pet name. “Hehe, baby, hehe.” Izuku thought.
He turned his head to the side. As he opened his eyes, he saw the most beautiful thumbelina bouquet ever. Gasping, the man scrambled up and towards his dresser, “Whoa!” He said in awe.
The bouquet had all kinds of flowers, carnations, gerbera daisies, stargazer lilies, hydrangeas, dahlias, baby’s breath, statice, asters, and even eucalyptus!
Izuku’s bottom lip wobbled as he smelled the flowers. “You got me flowers,” Izuku whispered, looking down at the bouquet. “Kaachan got me flowers.” Throwing his head back, he wailed.
“I’m sorry, Zuku, do you not like it? I’m sorry, I know it’s not much, but I-”
“Kaachan even got me Dahlias. How did you know I like orange Dahlias and not sunflowers?” Tears flowed freely now from the green eyes Katsuki loved so much.
Standing up from the bed, Katsuki stood in front of Izuku, wiping his tears once again.
“So I’m taking this as you liking the bouquet?”
“Kaachan is an idiot. Biggest idiot in the world.” Izuku pouted, hugging the bouquet closer.
“This biggest idiot is going to kiss you now, can I kiss you, my love?” Katsuki asked, tilting Izuku’s head up as he held his chin.
Izuku puckered his lips, making Katsuki laugh.
“You look like a puffer fish, Zuku.” He cackled, throwing his head back. Izuku, still as serious as ever, puckered his lips. His face was red from crying, his eyes and cheeks puffy, and his nose was congested.
“Whatever!” Izuku said, turning around and walking out of his bedroom. “Come on, baby, let me kiss you!” Katsuki shouted, running after him, laughing.
“No! You’re making fun of me! I’m going to look for Mina or Ochako, hell, even Kirishima, to kiss! They won’t laugh at me!” Izuku said, stomping towards his shoes.
Grabbing his wrist, Katsuki spun Izuku around, held his cheek, and kissed him. Izuku’s arms fell to his sides as Katsuki’s other hand grabbed the bouquet out of his hand, placing it on the counter next to them.
The kiss was soft but loud. Their lips softly glided against each other; each movement was gentle, and their lips moved in unison. Katsuki’s left hand rested on Izuku’s waist while his other hand stayed on Izuku’s cheek. His thumb was moving back and forth in a soothing motion as he guided Izuku through the kiss.
Katsuki’s tongue shyly glided on top of Izuku’s bottom lip, coaxing it open. As Izuku let Katsuki in, he threaded his hand into the blonde’s hair, the other draped around Katsuki’s neck as he reached up on his tiptoes.
As they pulled away, they panted. Bumping their foreheads together, Katsuki smiled, Izuku returning the gesture.
“I love you.”
“Be my boyfriend?”
The pair said in unison, giggling, and they kissed once again.
