Chapter Text
Dennis has big, wet eyes that make him look perpetually sad. Relatedly, his scent is starting to come through his blockers (CVS brand scent blockers have nothing on a 15 hour shift in the ED). He smells like a rainstorm, but somehow sad. Like a literal dark cloud is following him around.
All this to say, when Trinity finds him on the 8th floor, about to take a bath with no scent blockers in sight, she is overwhelmed by his scent. It's miserable, sad and lonely and practically screaming for comfort.
Trinity grimaces. She doesn't even know the guy and she wants to give him a hug.
When she offers to let him move in, it's only because the scent confirms he's also an omega, and she needs a roommate.
It had nothing to do with the nausea she feels at the thought of Whitaker being an unhoused omega. Nothing to do with how his scent reminds her of Lacy.
Yeah. Completely unrelated.
And when she gives him a tour of the apartment, she absolutely does not leave the linen closet open so he can grab nesting materials.
That would be ridiculous.
