(Ciel Soleil)
She realized early into her relationship with Jaune Arc that he was always up to any challenge she may throw at him. Their first date had been her walking up to him and asking him to go to a museum with her. He had hemmed and hawed, but nodded with his face red. He was appropriately impressed with the museum’s offerings and he had suggested the attached cafe afterwards. She had been blunt in explaining her attraction to him and what that entailed. The Rules of the Atlas social scene meant a lot of discretion. He had given her his word and she now knew, after a short Q & A with her best friend, an Arc always kept their word. She had a picture of him in the dress as her screensaver for her civilian scroll.
Yes, Jaune took her quirks in stride. Which meant that only Weiss, Penny, and presumably Yang, knew of their relationship. However that was going to change today, as they were scheduled to “hang out” with Penny and Ruby Rose. This was causing two of her quirks to be at odds as she couldn’t be late, but she loved cuddles with her boyfriend, who was holding her while he napped. Luckily his alarm went off and he came to almost immediately.
She rolled over to kiss his cheek, “have I told you how sexy it is that you wake up when your alarm goes off?”
“Had to learn how to, cause the kids,” he hugged her before getting up and heading to her kitchenette. “I’ll start breakfast.”
She threw a pillow and hit him in the back. He paused, “what did I forget?”
“We are meeting Penny and Ruby today,” she said as she slid out of the bed heading to the bathroom. “We are starting with breakfast at the cafe attached to the museum where we had our first date.”
“Have they realized they’re dating yet?” Jaune asked as he pulled on his pants. She shot him a look. “So that’s a no.”
“I am worried about Penny, and I know you are worried about Ruby,” she called over her shoulder as she picked out a dress from her closet.
“Well Ren and Nora have finally gotten together-together, Yang and Blake are finally taking steps that way, and let me tell you, feels like I’ve been waiting forever for that. I have you, Oscar has Whitley and Weiss is…very busy. Speaking of?” Jaune said inquisitively.
“The massages are booked and the five of us are all scheduled the same day off. Flynt and Weiss are keeping quiet when around Neon, and I went shopping with him to help pick a ring.” He turned her around to give her a quick kiss.
“You’re a marvel,” Jaune said smiling down at her, “ready to go?” She nodded while subtly closing the door to hide that it was half cleaned out.

(Ruby Rose)
Ruby had managed to wake up early enough to see Yang and Blake cuddled in bed together. She smiled as she quietly went to the bathroom to get ready. Weiss’s bed was empty, but that had almost become the norm these days. At least her partner and her male bff were getting along really well lately. Sadly, Weiss was her network for Jaune-news these days between his early mornings and constant late night training.
She ran a brush through her hair with a smile. She might not have made her last few training sessions with Jaune, but she was spending the WHOLE DAY with him and Penny! Oh, and Ciel, who didn’t really like her but two outta three ain’t bad!
A light rap at the bathroom door was followed by Weiss walking in with a, “HICKEY!”
Her partner slapped a hand over her neck as her eyes flew wide open. “It’s, it’s just a bruise. Hickey? Don’t be ridiculous. I would never.”
She pulled Weiss into the bathroom with her and gently shut the door. “Shh. It’s okay Weiss. I figured everything out.”
Weiss did NOT look reassured, “you have!?”
“Yep,” Ruby popped her p. “Blake and Yang are finally getting their heads outta their butts so you don’t wanna let them know what’s going on with you.”
“Yang actually knows…” Weiss started to say but she wasn’t having it.
“Yang only thinks she knows what’s best for everyone. But you’re obviously happy right?” Weiss nodded in response, “and you don’t want anyone to know about it right?” Weiss nodded again, looking a little more relieved. Then don’t worry. Your bestie; better than the restie, won’t tell anyone you’re dating Jaune.”
“Huh?”
“You’ve literally came back to the room smelling like his cologne and that kinda feminine body wash he’s started using lately.” Weiss blinked at her. Then did it again as Ruby’s scroll chimed to let her know Penny was on the way. “I’m hanging out with Penny all day, so grab a shower and get some sleep. You look exhausted.”
She used her Semblance to exit the room before Penny could smash the door open and wake up Blake and her sister. She was pretty clever; not telling Weiss that Jaune was going to be there all day today too. Didn’t want her partner to worry that she might let anything slip.

(Weiss Schnee)
She realizes that she is still blinking dumbly at the scattered rose petals after a minute. Ruby was right, she was exhausted and really in need of a shower. She checked her scroll but the battery was dead so she took a quick shower and plugged it in to charge while she got some sleep. She’d call Jaune and Ciel when she woke up and explain everything. The three of them could sit with Ruby later and tell her…a version of the truth. As sleep overtook her, she was happy that she had at least the rest of this day to think of a story. What were the chances of Ruby and Penny running into Jaune and Ciel today?
