Work Text:

The halls of Jujutsu Force have been very noisy because of a certain rumor. Today is the day everything could be proven true or false. It is said that the famous Agent Satoru Gojo will be back in service after being harmed in a mission a few months back. Fellow Agents guessed he'll never come back while some thought it'll take longer.

The noisy halls became silent, so much that you could probably hear a pin drop. The one and only Agent Satoru was standing in front of them, as if he wasn't already a walking corpse months ago.

“I'm back” he announced with an equally playful tune, almost like if he had just gone back from a long vacation.

He looked un-bruised, baby soft even. The incident took out three of the force's best agents. It seemed godly for him to come out from such a situation with no scars.

“Why does everyone look like they've seen a ghost?” He wondered out loud, ending it with a soft laugh “Are you all really that stunned to see me?”

He dropped down to the floor, stretching his limbs “Did you really expect me to go down that easily?” He plastered them a smile.

Someone walked toward the man. He exhaled and brought himself to a stand before enveloping the other into a big hug “I'm glad to see you my friend”

Mr. Ijichi could only smile back awkwardly and fix his wobbling glasses. “It's nice to have you back Agent Satoru”

Gojo pretended to wipe tears from his eyes but he wasn't lying, he said what he said. The agent never goes back on his words, he was glad to see the man since the last time he saw him was just right outside the sight where the explosion had happened.

“Was it lonely without me here?” He asked the man only for him to chuckle a little.

“Less troublesome,” the assistant replied.

Soon the whole force was back to work. The spotlight disappears from a certain agent. Crime surely just doesn't stop happening, well maybe with the exception of agent Satoru's long-term hiatus from his job.

The force was only faced with minimal crimes while Gojo was resting much to everyone's relief but the agent could only think of one reason, a plan was being formed. He doesn't know any possible details but one thing was for sure.

“It's a big one,” he explained to his fellow agents. A meeting was currently being held, Gojo sure didn't waste any time. About ten of their most outstanding agents were summoned.

“How are we sure that this isn't some trap?” agent Kento questioned the man.

“Your mind isn't a reliable source Satoru” Utahime backed up Nanami. Gojo might be their greatest agent but that also doesn't mean his head's always at the right place.

A blade spinned through the laid out map on the table. “This is where we know their headquarter's located” Nanami spoke “A bomb was activated here, they're probably laying low cause their troops are lessened”

“But why do they have a bomb ready?” The light on Shoko's cigarette dimmed.

Gojo happily patted the agent for having his back. “You've always been my favorite colleague Shoko”

There's only one clear answer. “The headquarters is a fake”

“That can't be” Utahime argued “My people have been following suspected members and all clues lead there”

Mei finally spoke “Let's hear him out”

Utahime grabbed Gojo by his collar “I'm not gonna stand here and let you degrade the work of me and my people”

He raised his hands in surrender “That came from you Utahime”

She scoffed and finally let go “How come someone like him isn't fired yet?”

“I guess I'm just lucky” the agent teased as he fixed himself.

Nanami looked like he was on the brink of leaving the room. “This meeting is wavering”

“We need someone in the inside” Gojo finally spat out what the whole meeting was for. “The group is still moving, just silently”

“We can't risk more lives” Nanami rose from his seat. The group agreed in unison.

“Haibara was a great asset we lost,” Gojo began explaining. Agent Haibara was only supposed to scan the area with two other agents to confirm the Force's suspicion. A bomb went out and in a blink of an eye three very brave agents lost their lives. “I'm not asking to sacrifice agents”

“How do we get a mole in then?” Shoko asked.

Gojo raised two of his fingers. “Option 1 try to get a low rank punk of theirs to work for us”

Utahime cuts him off “That'll never work, that's risking the entire force more”

“That's why I've already cancelled that option out” he answered calmly “Last option I infiltrate them”

Nanami fell back into his seat and everyone's lips fell into a line. “This has less of a risk than sending lower ranking agents” Gojo clarified a plan he had been working on all this time.

Step 1: Infiltrate the group

Step 2: Climb up their ranks

Step 3: Meet the boss and get in his good side

Step 4: Deliver fake news

Step 5: Find out about the plan

Final Step: The ending blow

“The only thing left for you guys is a plan to stop the whole thing all together, did everyone follow?” The room was only filled with hums as the discussion ended.

“How are you so sure you aren't gonna get caught?” Asked Nanami.

Gojo laughed at his face like he had told something completely impossible “Agent Gojo doesn't fail anything”

Shoko finishes her second cigarette “You're the only one who's still faceless to them”

No one really wanted to admit how long this group controlled almost everything in society. Three long years it has been, since the Jujutsu Force have been running after them like cat and mouse. Along those years they have gathered distinguishable details about almost all the agents, except the one and only Satoru Gojo, of course.

After three long years the only thing they got on him was his eyes, it shows how good he really is at his job.The group could only damage his uniform by the eyes, revealing this certain tattletail. The blue that can't be mistaken for anyone else but his.

The next morning, Gojo was up bright and early. He faced his reflection, he'd never seen himself in such an outfit. First of all glasses that blocked the blue hues of his eyes, a white wife beater that hugged and showed of the muscles he had accumulated through years of working for the force, pants that hung lowly at his hips, the linings of his boxers peeking through that somehow almost served as a warning and his newest asset yet 3 piercings on each ear that dangled as he walked.

There's one thing he forgot to mention to his fellow agents, he had already infiltrated the group. Gojo had done so about 2 weeks from the current day. It was quite easy actually, he had to only run a few errands for them and get a sickening tattoo of a serpent.

“Oh Toru what's gotten you busy yesterday?” Mahito, a high ranking member of the Serpents called out to him dramatically.

“I've missed your humor being with these low-lives” Gojo felt a surge of freezing cold wind as the man laid his hand on his shoulder.

“Got a job for me Mahito?” He asked with his usual tone.

Mahito paused and began to think “Aha! You've been my favorite so I'll give you an easy one”

Gojo smirked “I don't want you treating me all prince like now”

A body shuddering laugh exited Mahito's mouth. The agent was right, this job wasn't for the weak. Anyone else could've easily cracked at the presence of the man.

Mahito's hand slithered down Gojo's back where the newly tattoed serpent was, three powerful slaps were delivered. The agent held in a cry of pain, just one more slap and it would've probably sent his knees shivering.

“The new boss is playing favorites” he began whispering. “Seems like he's very fond of you”

“I am a very likable person after all” Gojo still managed to plaster a smile.

“Here’s the envelope with all the details” he threw a light envelope at the man “better be back by sunset”

Later that same afternoon, Gojo had an unknown box with him. He looked around at the approaching crowd of civilians and within seconds he slipped inside a dark alley.

Air pushed through his mouth, making a whistle sound then Agent Shoko appeared along with Agent Nanami.

“We gotta have a new meeting place for this mission” the agent pinched her nose, blocking out the nauseating smell.

The other looked un-faced by the smell but rather confused “How'd you get a top mission that quickly?”

Gojo shrugged “A member said they have a new boss and all”

“That explains the motive change” said Shoko as the box was being handed to her. “What's in it?”

He opened the brown envelope given to him earlier. “Some type of mineral”

With the precise motion of Nanami's blade the box opened revealing an unimportant rock to Gojo. It looked exactly like the rocks you'll find at beaches, there was nothing special about it.

“We'll have Mr. Ijichi research about it” Nanami spoke as he threw Shoko a measuring tape and cellphone.

The agent soon returned on his route back to the Serpent's headquarters. The box surprisingly looked un-opened, even he would be fooled by Nanami's precision with the blade.

He knocked about four times with rhythm. “Name?” A voice spoke on the other-side of the door.

“Satoru” Gojo spoke as he turned, back facing the wall. He lifted his top slightly showing off the serpent on his back.

Clanking of locks soon followed then the door opened. “I've been here for two weeks, come on you guys” Gojo sighed.

The agent drops the heavy box in front of Mahito. “Heavy fucker” Gojo hissed at the feeling of his arm aching.

Mahito un-buries himself from the neck of a woman he was with. “Complaining already Toru?”

Gojo sat down on the opposite couch in front of them as the woman laughed. “What's in it anyway?” He pushed, what's better than getting the information first hand right?

“Top secret” Mahito waved his finger at the man's face before kicking the box over to someone. “Bring this to the boss”

The man nodded and left Mahito and Gojo. “Enjoy yourself then” he signalled for something “Running errands is quite tiring”

A woman sat beside Gojo. One with black hair and a tight fitting dress that hugged her curves and made certain features pop out. The agent fixed his posture and wrapped a hand around the woman making her blush.

“I don't exactly swing that way” Gojo smiled at the woman beside him before letting his hand rest on his thigh.

Mahito smiled back “Who would've known” Gojo was walking on eggshells even though it didn't seem quite like it.

Mahito is already suspicious of him and he wants information. They've probably looked him up somewhere only to see that in his files he was already dead, exactly thirteen years ago now.

Thirteen years since the accident that killed his whole family happened and thirteen years since the Force adopted him into their little family. That's why he could freely use his name in the mission, there was no one to trace it back to because that version of him died along with his sister, mother and father.

He could've had a normal life if that driver didn't drink that night.

Life happens, that's what he kept repeating to himself all those lonely nights. You can't ever take the force away from him and him away from the force, cause that's his only home. He dedicated his life to serving the people until he could meet with his family again. What made him a great agent wasn't his skill nor was it his mind, it was because he isn't afraid of death himself. Satoru Gojo thought of it as a reunion with those he had lost.

He has nothing to lose.

Three weeks in and he still has no idea what and why do the Serpents need this rock, more and more packages have begun to come in. Through those weeks he has also begun to climb the ranks, it's crazy how easy it was, to think that this group has a hold on society. He should've thought of this sooner.

“Don't laze around now” Mahito popped right behind a few boxes.

The dude has been following him nonstop since that day. It's way too risky to contact anyone from the force. The new boss seemed trusting, Mahito's the only one in his way.

He jumped up “Do you really have nothing better to do than follow me around like lost puppy?”

Mahito could only laugh. “Watch your back Satoru” he buried his fingers on the Agent's neck. “I can't pintpoint it now but there's something up with you”

Gojo fixed his glasses, his cover almost knocked right off from his face. “I don't have a clue what you're talking about,” he hissed.

Mahito finally lets go of his neck. “The boss wants to meet you” he said almost a whisper.

The agent raised a hand to his ears “What was that?”

Mahito rolled his eyes at the man “Just get on with it”

“Do you reckon it'll be a promotion to I don't know maybe replace you” Gojo could visibly see the man crack.

With Mahito you could never really tell if he liked you or not. Gojo could only joke around with him or keep his nerve ticking to somehow avoid his surveillance. He's already suspicious of him afterall, might as well play the annoying cockroach in his life.

The agent could only hope that the boss is an easier nut to crack. Gojo knew a few things about the new boss:

First, just like the other goons here their boss also loved having women around him. That's why he knocked three times. “This is Satoru,” he called out, before he unlocked the door.

The agent had been through and seen many things, he killed and seen his allies die but nothing would have prepared his eyes for what came next.

The so-called boss was sitting on his chair, completely normal right? Gojo would've let his body relax and let out a sigh of relief if not for his expression.

Beads of sweat formed at his forehead and temples, his hand gripping the wooden table enough to make his knuckles turn white, eyes were closed as he drowned from lust and his lips were slightly parted. There was only one conclusion, the agent had walked in on his boss receiving head.

God, thank you for that table or his eyes would be truly blessed with something else. He quickly exited the room, one of his quickest exits yet.

“Off me now” he heard the man say from the other side of the door. He flinched when he heard a slap. The girl exited the room crying and with a visible red print on her face.

Gojo peeked inside the room “That's no way to treat women” he calmly stated. Getting in his good side looked like it was spilling down the drain.

He raised an eyebrow at the voice. “You must be Satoru then” a welcoming smile was plastered on his face.

He nodded, fully entering the room once more. To the agent, the boss had a case of being a two-faced bitch, something he had to worry about.

“Please have a seat” he waved his hand. “Mahito kept you for too long, I got a bit bored” he stated like he hadn't just been walked in on.

He stared as Gojo tried to get comfortable on his chair, eyes surprisingly very soft towards the man. “You're pretty” he muttered, probably to himself but the agent caught on.

“What was that boss?” He couldn't believe what the man had just said, was his eyes and ears lying to him.

The man choked on his own spit. “Call me Suguru instead” he started once having a sip of water.

“What am I here for then..Suguru?” Gojo sat lazily in-front of him, legs spread and his top riding higher than it should be.

Geto blushed red, a hand covering his face as he spoke “Mahito has been telling me your one curious fellow”

Gojo felt a wave of cold air. Was this the end of his mission? Did he risk his life for nothing? This can't just end here, he hasn't even gathered useful information.

He could only nod, the other unaware of his internal panic. “What do you want to know then?” he asked.

“You aren't gonna kill me right?” The agent asked back, might as well be blunt right? It's better if he knew if they know he was undercover.

Suguro was taken a back at the question “I don't kill pretty boys” he laid back on his chair.

“Well then uhm what's with the rocks?” He reached into his pocket and held the device Mr. Ijichi gave him, with a simple click a recording of the conversation will be sent to the Force.

“Nothing, I'm just particularly fascinated by rocks”

The agent knew that the new boss is young and all but really? I've been investigating something completely pointless. Did Mahito fool me all along? Did he lead me into some kind of goosechase?

Suguru laughed, his voice echoing through the room. “The look on your face is priceless” a loud thud followed as he slapped the wooden table.

Gojo just so happened to get star-struck. If it weren't for the whole ‘I wanna rule the whole world’ the man would be his type. The truth washed over him as the man laughed at his face.

“What's the plan then?” The agent tried to make himself stop from combusting, who knew how hot the Serpent King could be.

“Do you know the saying that curiosity killed the cat Satoru?” Geto held his hand out to him as he spoke.

Gojo's neck was soon placed on the hand. “I'll be glad to be killed by the Serpent King then”

Second fact, not like the other goons, Suguru has an equal infatuation towards men. He just seemed to be the perfect target for the agent's charms.

A flick was delivered to Gojo's chin. “Lock the door”

Gojo happily followed through. He would've never guessed that he'll get some action during this mission, he has been really pent up these past few days. Much to his dismay when he turned a rock was placed on the desk.

“No action then” he whispered to himself.

“You see dear Satoru, this rock you're calling isn't actually a rock,” he began to explain. “This here is a mineral”

Gojo sat back down, his eyes fixated on the small pebble Suguru tossed between his fingers. “It costs much then”

Suguru nodded “It's draining the group actually” he tossed the pebble over to Gojo “But it's all according to plan”

“I don't see reselling? Are we buying the whole market first?” He asked, this doesn't make sense, this isn't the move of the Serpents. This piece of rock, people wouldn't care less if they bought it all. It isn't something essential like clean water.

“Clueless and pretty just how I like it” Suguru smiled at him, his finger lightly tracing his jaw.

“The plan isn't to resell it but to melt it”

Gojo's eyebrow's furrowed “Melt it?” Suguru just smiled and eased out the tenses on his face.

“You see here Satoru, this mineral isn't just a normal one” He began to explain “Our king was once a miner with great ambition, this pebble here is where we the Serpents started from”

Gojo sighed as loud as he can “Stop beating around the bush would you?”

Then something happened that was completely unexpected almost like a switch in his mind flipped.Suguru lunges forward and grabs the Agent's jaw, he was quick at it too. Gojo couldn't react, he could only endure the fingers that dug his face.

Lastly number 3, the boss was very fond of his charms but that could instantly flip within seconds.

“I just said I wouldn't kill you but that doesn't mean I wouldn't hurt you” he still kept a smile though his tone said otherwise. “What's got you rushing Agent?”

Gojo's cover was spoiled, it was probably Mahito, though the agent didn't want to give him the satisfaction or did Suguru find out himself, either way he was in big trouble. He needed help or to get out of there before he's killed.

Suguru gently takes the glasses off, revealing the tattletail of the agent. “You've worn this for a while now, don't think we'll be fooled easily”

Gojo stretched his mouth and bit Suguru's thumb. He got slapped— hard, enough to make the usual human unconscious. “Play nice now, your life is in my hands after all”

“Either way I'll be dead meat, might as well make you work for it no?” Gojo's statement made the man wide-eyed.

“Mahito” the man called out.

He barged right in the room. Mahito might have been waiting outside already. “Floor 3” were the last words he heard before he was knocked out.

The atmosphere felt chilling to the newly awakened agent. His sides ached, his arms and neck were bruised. He's been stripped from the clothes he wore earlier, leaving him in plain brown pants and a piece of dirty cloth covering his upper body.

There seemed to be no way out. The room was built with rocks from top to down with the only window sitting about 7ft, there's no way he could reach that.

Somebody scoffed, prompting Gojo to retreat to a corner. As his back hit the cold wall he was hit with reality, he's going to die there. This was far from the death he expected, he wanted to die a hero not some pathetic prisoner.

“Don't try anything kid” the guard spoke “This whole place is surrounded by the best guards”

“Like you had to rub it on my face” Gojo scoffed.

How long has he been out? What happened to the device? He lied back down his head spinning.

A deep ragged breath was taken. It felt like he had drowned, maybe he did. As Gojo got up blood spilled from his mouth. He was sure about a day or a few hours had passed seeing there was a change in the guards. How was he supposed to escape when his body kept playing jump rope with being conscious and unconscious.

A voice spoke but to him it almost sounded like a whisper. The heightened senses of his seem to drift away from his body. He couldn't comprehend what the person outside his cell wanted but it sounded angry, voice growing rather louder with each second. Gojo plugged his ears muffling the voices outside, the least they could do was let him rest.

Geto stood outside arguing with the guard who wouldn't leave the cell “Are you implying that I need to be protected?” the guard could only shake his head.

“Then leave” he roared and like he said the guard came running out the hall.

Silence followed, Gojo's body jerked him awake when he felt a hand on his bruised neck. “Are you okay?” He could only read the lips of the man kneeling beside him, sound became incomprehensible to the agent.

Geto's face looked soft. There was a crease on his forehead as if he was worrying. The sign of the earlier Geto who had slapped him was once again gone.

“Drop the act” his words came out slurred but it hit Suguru harder than a bus could ever do.

His hands shook as they passed through the bruises on Gojo's body. Geto's lips quivered against the Agent's ear. “I need to get you out of here, please”

Gojo was taken a back, was this some sort of hallucination surely he couldn't be hearing this right. He pushed him back, this was enough torture.

“Please trust me Satoru” the man pleaded with him.

The agent finally looked at the man when he felt his hand wet from tears. “You're an ugly crier” even at the brink of death Gojo croaked out a joke.

Maybe it was Geto's face? Or maybe the way he cried and pleaded? But Gojo found his heart softening as he trusted the man's words. There was no other way and if it does backfire he'll die either way.

Suguru laughed as his tears were wiped by the agent. “I'll get a nurse” he stated before swiftly getting up “You're not dying on me”

Soon the nurse entered along with Geto and Mahito. The other sighed, “Why can't we just kill him already?”

There was it again, the look that had scared the agent earlier. His soft features almost turned grim. It was only a glance but Gojo was sure of it.

Suguru shook his head, stoping the man in his tracks to enter the cell. “He's precious to the force”

“When did we start caring about what's precious or not?” The man slithered through Suguru's arm and into the cell where the nurse treated Gojo's wounds.

“They'll never touch us if they know we have him” he argued.

Gojo silently gave props to Geto's acting. That is the only logical excuse to keep him alive but he's still confused on why the leader of the Serpents would turn sides.

“Gather everyone to the main building” he ordered Mahito. “Leave two guards here”

Mahito looked like he was about to oppose the decision but he could only clamp his mouth shut as the Serpent King narrowed his eyes at him. “Got it boss” he saluted though rolled his eyes as soon as he faced away.

“He'll be fine Master Geto” the girl repeated with a smile.

“Good” her smile grew even wider at the praise.

As the nurse walked away from the cell.Geto brought the man up to sit. The medicine made the agent groggy and sleepy, his eyes kept flickering almost like a broken light bulb.

“Rest Satoru” his voice was soft, as he tossed the stray hairs on Satoru's face. “I'll get you to safety” a equally soft kiss landed on his cheek.

“Satoru what happened?” He was shocked to see Nanami shaking him awake.

He would've thought everything was a dream but his body ached the same as before. “Those bastards, I'll get Agent Shoko to fix you up quickly”

When the agent woke up he was in one of the clinic beds. He tried getting up but his body refused to follow.

“Stop moving Satoru,” Shoko said, and he immediately smiled at her voice.

“Don't do that too” She blew smoke directly onto the Agent's face. “You're weirding me out”

The clinic doors opened loudly, other agents came barging in. “We thought you had died” Utahime cried out as soon as she saw Gojo lying on the bed “Don't ever do that to us bastard”

“I can't promise anything” he barely croaked an answer out, his throat felt all scratchy and dry.

“What happened to you anyway?” Shoko asked.

That's when it hit him. “Geto, uhh I need to see him” his body bounced up to a sat down position.

“You shouldn't be moving around” Shoko scolded him, her hands dragging his shoulders back onto the bed.

“Please let me see him,” he pleaded.

Nanami's eyebrows furrowed “Could he be hallucinating?”

Shoko scratched her head at the scene. “Are you sure you found him alone?”

Gojo swiftly looked over to Nanami with pleading eyes. The agent grew into a mess when Nanami shook his head. His hands flew everywhere, it took Nanami and Utahime to hold him down just so Shoko could inject him with calming medicine.

“Please I need to go back” he kept repeating as he dozed off due to the medicine. “Please bring me Geto”

“Any ideas who's the Geto Guy?” Shoko looked over to Nanami and Utahime.

Nanami crossed his arms, thinking. “It's obvious it's someone he met just recently”

“Sure doesn't sound like it” Utahime cut him off.

“I knew him since were teens and he never mentioned anyone named Geto until now”

Nanami had also been part of the program the force had made. He was one of the few kids that was raised by the force, namely him, Satoru and Haibara. Gojo's the type of guy to talk about himself including his past all the time so someone this important to him should've popped up somewhere there.

Mr. Ijichi entered the room, holding the answer to their questions. “I finally listened to the tape our machines caught”

They all huddled together to the laptop placed on the hospital bed next to Gojo. Grimace appeared on two of the agent's faces when they heard the first part of the conversation, while Shoko displayed an all knowing smile. Nanami might've known the agent longer but Shoko grew closer to him even though she had just started working a few years back.

“Always a slut” she snickered to herself.

She was always the one to hear an earful of the agent's current worries mostly about love of course.

“Melt it?” Utahime questioned, only to be shushed by the other two agents.

“This is the good part” Shoko spoke only to jinx it because as the tape dragged on the sounds started to be all mangled together until it completely broke.

Nanami frustratedly repeated the last parts. “We only know 2 things”

“Geto's the boss and Gojo's cover was spoiled,” Utahime replied.

“If so why would Satoru call for him” Shoko voiced out. “He may have been knocked in the head or neck but I know he'll know an enemy is always an enemy”

“This part is in fast forward” Nanami finally confirmed his suspicions “The tape may be messed up but someone is talking here”

“Please send it back to our ITs” he added “I'll have Mei look into Suguru Geto”

“Utahime have the place surrounded, they might want to get Satoru back” Were Nanami's last words before the doors closed.

“You surely brought us a bunch of trouble my friend” Shoko brushed Gojo's hair with her fingers.

With Mei's squad's help they were enlightened a little more on who was Geto. He was an orphan. A massacre had happened one night in October, his whole family suffered brutal deaths. It was first reported that no one had survived, not until the investigation squad came and found a young Geto hidden in an old cabinet inside the attic.

“Brutal” were the only words that left the woman's mouth as she continued reading.

Though traumatised, he lived a pretty normal life in the orphanage he was put in. Geto's records were clean from anything other than harmless pranks. He was tossed into two different foster families but ended up returning back into the orphanage after reports of not behaving well with the other kids.

“I still have time let's visit some people”

Mei looked into other orphans who were there around his time. Two people were tracked to be closed by. The agent paid her visits.

The first one was a woman, not too far from her own age. She was outside her yard watering flowers when Mei found her.

“Good morning ma'am” She greeted.

The lady wiped her hands and shook the Agent's hand. “What may I do for you on this fine day?”

She subtly showed her badge “You’re not in trouble ma'am just a few questions”

The woman ushered her inside, where she was offered cookies. “They're freshly baked,” she added.

“I'm here to ask you about someone you probably know from childhood, Suguru Geto” The lady tilted her head at the name.

“Is he okay?” Her eyebrows formed a crease on her forehead while her hand remained close to her heart.

Mei nodded. “How would you describe him?”

The woman bit into one of her cookies “Geto's always been a sweetheart” she started “He was friends with almost everyone that entered and exited the orphanage”

The woman's action showed that it clearly wasn't some memorized script. She spoke directly from her heart and would even smile at the memories. “So much so that we were all sad when some old man came and adopted him” she wiped a tear from her eye “He was like a brother, he would always comfort me whenever I would be dropped by a foster family”

Ino was in-charge of the other person. Not like the lady, Mei had picked a completely different person, a man that lived in the ghetto. According to Mei they got to have different perspectives.

Ino sighed. “Why did I agree to this again?”

He knocked at the door of a busted down trailer that supposedly belonged to the man he was looking for.

“No one's here” a voice shouted from the inside.

Ino just knocked even louder “Open the door old man” his patience began to thin out.

“You're annoying me kid” the man shouted back.

“I'm breaking this door open if you don't open it yourself” Ino warned.

He was about to bust the door when the man opened it. The agent toppled inside the trailer.

The trailer inside was a mess, bottles and cans of beer were all over the place and not to mention the over-powering smell of cigarette smoke.

"What'cha want kid?” The man chuckled as Ino stood up.

“Suguru Geto, do you know him?”

The man took a pause, he placed the beer bottle onto a counter. “Brother Geto? Haven't heard that name in a while?”

“What do you know about him?” Ino pushed.

“We went to the same orphanage” The agent nodded along to the man, though he wasn't quite sure if he was the most reliable person to question seeing that he was drunk.

“He would always scold us when we get a little too rough” the man swirled his drink. “He'd treat bruises we get and never question us about it”

“It seems like this Geto guy's far from what we've expected,” Ino recalled as he shared the information with Mei.

“Or we might be falling for a trap” She theorized, who are they to know if those people aren't in the gang?

“Did you guys see any weird Serpent shit like items or tattoos?” Shoko butted in. “Satoru's awake, a lot calmer too”

The two faced each other trying their best to recall. “All I can remember from the man was his house was a mess and no tattoo, he was shirtless and wore shorts”

“The woman was what I expected and I didn't get to look around her house or anything”

Shoko nodded. “Then they're probably not part of it then”

“Why?” Both said in unison.

“Satoru showed me a large back tattoo he had to get” Shoko brought out her phone and showed them. “A bit infected and dirty but you can clearly tell it was a serpent”

“Where is that guy anyway? He owes me for this” Mei stated.

“Showering, we'll have a meeting later”

Everybody in the room looked pretty tense. It seems like Gojo's change of energy clearly affected everyone more than they had thought. The playful agent was quiet on his seat, mumbling to himself even.

“Should we start then?” Utahime was the first to talk, her eyes darted towards Nanami and Ijichi.

The agent nodded in return. Ijichi pulled out his laptop where the suspected message was played.

“Hello? Is this shit still working” An unknown voice played out. It seemed that the person was frustrated and may have knocked or kicked the device a few times.

“At exactly 7:45 multiple trucks will arrive all from different prefectures, one here in Tokyo, two in Kyoto and 2 more in Miyagi. They're all heading to the rocket launch” A plan was laid out in-front of them. “Gojo is safe and will soon return”

“Suguru” Gojo finally voiced out as his hand hit the wooden table creating a ruckus.

“Keep him safe for me and please stop” the message was cut out, most-likely due to the device overheating.

“What are we waiting for then?” Gojo spoke again, seemingly too overexcited.

“They wouldn't just lay out their plans to us,” Nanami sternly told Gojo.

The agent looked like he was almost gonna lose it. “That's Suguru, he isn't just anyone” he argued.

“That's someone you've just met recently,” said Nanami, he stood up looking like he would fight the other agent on the matter.

“He helped me to safety,” Gojo argued back.

“This is part of their plan Satoru” He spat “Aren't you the greatest agent the force has? Act like it”

Gojo took a step back as Nanami came towards him closer and closer. “I am, this is the time we can finally stop them”

“Stop being easily fooled” The agent's blade came in contact with Gojo's chest. “We're not risking our lives just so you could fulfil your fantasy”

“Fine,” said Gojo, almost a whisper.

He spent exactly 5 hours looking for the possible rocket launch Geto might be talking about before giving up. “How could Mei do this?” He thought to himself. It was night time and he and Ijichi were the only ones still in the headquarters.

The man refused to leave him alone. To Gojo, Ijichi probably thought he had turned insane and was just keeping an eye on him.

“Coffee?” Ijichi offered.

Gojo only answered with a nod too focused on the screen in-front of him. Nanami might probably be right but the agent was too stubborn to accept that, surely he meant something to Geto.

That's when a not-so-great idea popped into his head. “I'll stop them before they can even get those trucks starting”

He made sure Ijichi was busy before he started gathering weapons and things that he needed. They might've beat the agent before but that was all a matter of surprise and luck will not be on their side this time.

“It's time to give them a taste of their own medicine” Gojo spoke to himself as he strapped weapons all around his body.

A cough startled him, Ijichi had come earlier than expected catching the agent red handed.

“Is there really no way to stop you?” Those were his only words which Gojo replied with a nod.

Instead of the expected trapping or strapping him somewhere where he couldn't cause trouble, Ijichi dropped the coffee on the table and helped Gojo pack a few things.

“It's better if you strap them here,” he pointed out. “Hidden but easy access”

The agent just nodded, some more tweaking happened, it turns out Gojo isn't exactly the concealing type. He just had his arms to his side and legs slightly parted and Ijichi would point out parts that are way too visible.

“Please don't die” said Ijichi as he did the last finishing touches.

“You know I'd never”

He never expected to be back so soon. It was probably just two or three days since he had escaped to safety. Was that long enough for Geto to be severely injured? Had they known that their own boss betrayed them?

There are two things he just wanted to see:

Geto alive and him winning. There was no plan, the agent was walking into dead waters with only his instincts and the things he had learned throughout his life. His skills can't betray him now.

As he reached the door leading down to where the headquarters is he had to lighten his walk. Almost like a feather, the agent practically floated to the front door. He reached out for a pin tucked somewhere on the back of his blindfold.

This is probably the quietest the agent had been. He tried picking the lock, his eyebrows furrowed at every loud click. That only meant two things: closer to victory or closer to death.

Sweat beads formed at his temples as he tried to solve the puzzle in-front of him. With one more twist the lock finally opened. Gojo held in his smile, he hasn't won yet and the worst is yet to come.

While there Gojo had been examining the members and the guard they had would most instantly fall asleep around this time. He had to just knock him unconscious and he's free to move to the cells downstairs or the office upstairs.

The agent had underestimated probably everything because when he opened the door. Mahito's patched-up face greeted him along with two other people who stood by his side and looked equally troublesome to his plans.

“I told you he couldn't last a week,” Mahito laughed. He had predicted Gojo's moves and was waiting for him.

Someone grabbed Gojo from the back, stilling him into one position. “Too bad you came by yourself”

“The prince doesn't always win against the dragon” Mahito raised his hand as if praising himself.

Blood dripped. A stray blade cuts the air from behind and shoots straight onto the man's palm. It made him wince but he pulled it out like it was just a splinter.

The blade was dropped close to Gojo and that's when he noticed the familiar pattern that covered the blade.

“Stop talking bullshit” Nanami's voice surprised the agent.

He pulled the man that held Gojo until he was free. “But how did-” he was cut off when he spotted something red on his shirt. How could he be so oblivious?

“You can thank Ijichi later” Shoko appeared from behind.

Ino and Utahime followed. Ino tugged at his mask securing its place, he liked to remain anonymous like Gojo only a few people knew what he also looked like. Mei waltzed in with her weapon knocking down the man Nanami held onto.

“Go on and save Suguru sir” Ino called out as he charged himself towards Mahito while Mei and Utahime followed.

“Aww you guys” Gojo wiped a fake tear from his eye.

Everyone rolled their eyes at him. “Just go already Satoru” everyone replied to him in unison.

He chuckled. Gojo was never truly alone and maybe for once he feared death, for the first time in his life he didn't want anything more than to live not for himself and not for the civilians he's protecting but for his friends that made him feel that he was never truly alone.

He never thought about it but he does have so much to lose. He missed his parents with his whole-heart but it also isn't bad if he stayed. The agent was pretty sure they'd understand.

“Suguru” he called out as he reached the cells. His voice echoed but no one answered.

He explored the large basement until his breathing became ragged but everything just repeated. He grew frustrated at the sound of his echo being the only thing calling back to him and not Geto.

He ran back upstairs. “Suguru isn't in the cells”

Mahito's laugh echoed through the room. “Did you really think Suguru wanted to be saved?”

Blood was clearly spilled. He didn't know if it was from his friends or the serpent members. Utahime was to the side fighting off the members that seemed to have no ending. Mei was by the stairs leading to the office where she's also bombarded by Serpent troops. Nanami was the only one outside, holding more from coming in and their youngest yet fought Mahito bravely.

Gojo pushed the kid aside and a punch was delivered to Mahito's stomach but his laughing didn't stop even though he had spat up blood. “He would've found his way to you if he did”

Another was delivered now to his jaw then another and another until the coppery taste of blood was the only thing Mahito could taste.

The agent didn't take a pause; he was way too consumed by his anger. He didn't even notice when the man he had been looking for appeared.

“Satoru,” the man called out, his voice shaking just as much as the last time Gojo had heard them.

Gojo wasn't phased. “Satoru” the man followed more sternly than the first.

“Tell them Suguru” Mahito smirked in-between the winces from the agent's punches.

“Satoru, please stop this” he shouted.

And the man did, his eyes narrowed towards Suguru. An unknown man stood behind him, his hand dug at Geto's shoulder.

“See what happens when you defy us Geto” the man spoke and Geto's tears stained the red carpet they stood on.

The man grabbed his jaw and forcefully made him face Gojo. The agent was too stunned and was unaware that Mahito had remained conscious and was about to deliver a punch to Gojo. The others were too busy holding onto their lives fighting other members while the only one who could probably help was pushed outside with five people trying to keep him.

Suguru closed his eyes. “Please no I'll do anything”

The man dropped a knife to his hands and pushed him forward but Geto was already too weak at the sight of Gojo getting hurt once more. His knees wobbled and he toppled forward.

As Geto reached Gojo he looked conflicted. He wanted no more than anything but to stab himself instead. “I'm sorry” were the words he kept repeating as he gripped the knife.

“I thought I taught you better, my child” the man cooed. “You should've never mixed work and feelings together”

Geto raised the weapon above his head. “This is all your fault Suguru” the man shouted just when Geto was about to stab Gojo “You're the reason everyone is hurting right now”

Maybe Geto finally had enough, maybe the lid he kept holding in finally popped off. The man finally took his own will from the control of his so-called father.

Instead of burying the weapon onto Gojo's side like expected, with a flick of his hand it flew directly to the old man. Suguru grabbed the agent's hand and pulled him up from the floor.

A short and long awaited kiss was shared. The taste of Gojo's blood is infused with his saliva. He would've hurled but of course Gojo Satoru was an exception. The agent clawed the back of his neck as if he never wanted the kiss to end, for them to pretend that their lives weren't on the line like if they're just in a restaurant enjoying and eating.

“That's enough lovebirds” Utahime called out as the man she battled finally dropped to the floor.

The two nodded and broke apart from each other. “We'll save it for later then” the agent said confidently like there's no dimension that he could think of that they would lose.

Geto rushed over to the man. He dropped to the floor. “You never wanted a child, father” Geto crouched down and whispered to the man.

He struck the knife to his side. “You wanted a clone of yourself”

Geto pulled it out and delivered the final blow. “Thank you for caring for me Kenjaku but I'll never be you”

The bloodbath ended with only a few injuries. Shoko was a few alleys back so all injuries were all treated quickly after. Those alive and who surrendered were quickly transferred to the closest police station, all thanks to Ino who remained there and made sure no one escaped before the police came.

The arrest wasn't publicised and with the help of Geto other Serpent members from parts of the world were arrested. The plan had been stopped, it turns out it wasn't actually some fake plan Geto was spitting out but a real one. Kenjaku had researched about it ever since he started reigning, there's a special metal that when melted together acted like a magnet to gold. It wouldn't be a further problem since Geto had hoarded most of the stones.

Exactly two weeks after, the two sat together in one of the cafeterias the force has. Geto was approved to come with them after Gojo had threatened the higher-ups with his retirement if they didn't let him.

“Satoru you know I have to serve right?” He asked while Satoru laid on his lap.

“In the force? You could if you want but I prefer you not getting hurt though” Satoru replied.

He got up when Geto shook his head. “I mean like a prison sentence”

“Hold up, you helped us you aren't some evil villain like Kenjaku” He argued.

“But I was involved in a bunch of illegal activities way before the recent events” he paused to calm the agent down. “It's only fair Satoru”

And from then on, Geto did serve about a ten year sentence for his alliance, where Gojo visited him almost everyday
