Now that all the hashira were in heaven, except for Giyuu, Tsutako and Sabito decide they want to talk with the Hashira.
“Hello. Are you Giyuu’s colleagues?” Tsutako asks as she and Sabito approach them.
They all look towards the two.
“Yes, we were his colleagues. Who are you?” replies Shinobu.
“I’m Tsutako, Giyuu’s sister, and this is Sabito, Giyuu’s best friend. We both died when Giyuu was around thirteen”
All the Hashira were surprised at the fact that Giyuu had a sister and a best friend for that matter.
“We just wanted to tell you all something.” Says Sabito. The hashira all acknowledge him in one way or another.
“We just wanted to tell you guys that Giyuu wanted to be friends with you all from the start, but he is scared of forming relationships, because he knows that if another person he cares about dies he won’t be able to handle it.” Tsutako continues.
Sanemi and Obanai are a bit shocked. They always thought he was just an arrogant prick who didn’t want anything to do with them. They also felt bad for making fun of him. MItsuri started crying at the thought that Giyuu was actually just scared of having a relationship with them and not ignoring them. Rengokus and Tengen's usually happy presence was gone.
“So if we are gone, what is keeping him now?” asks Rengoku.
“The children.” says Tsutako, “He feels the need to look after them.”
“I see.” mumbles Shinobu.
“That’s all we wanted to say. We’ll leave you now.” says Sabito.
And the two of them walk away back to where Tsutako’s parents and Makomo were waiting for them.
