Hello! Welcome to the Hidden Chapter AU.
I know, making an entire first chapter a disclaimer is a Choice™, but this is going to be a long series if we pull it off, so… we wanted to make one here and then just link to it throughout the series, just so that no one walks in entirely blind. We hope you are willing to give us just a few minutes of your time.
I mean… you did click on this, so we hope you’ll spend quite a while here, but you get the point.
This is a labour of love and a worldbuilding project. A… pretty expansive one, actually. We have always loved the concept Cookie Run built itself on, and we wanted to push its limits, dance through the dialogue, and run through the pages of what might have been.
We’re not throwing out canon entirely. In fact, this is meant to sit beside canon, almost like another timeline, or at least in the same multiverse, possibly omniverse, depending on how wild canon gets going forward. I love canon, but it has interesting opinions.
But because we’re expanding on things, it’s going to be a reimagining. Not because we dislike canon, but because of how much we do. Cosmology, biology, geography, narrative structure, and more are going to be poked, prodded, interrogated, rebaked, and frosted until they shine and sparkle. Expect plot twists—at least, we hope we aren’t too obvious with them—and sometimes even character reworkings as you dig into this alternate world.
