Gaotu is an S-Class Alpha, the rarest and strongest rank above ordinary Alphas. People like them are often hidden or strictly guarded by the government because their physical strength and pheromones can shake social stability. However, Gaotu chooses to hide his identity and pretend to be a Beta so he can get close to someone—Sheng Shaoyou, a charismatic A-Class Alpha he has secretly admired for a long time.
Shaoyou is known for being cold, ambitious, and a perfectionist. He rejects any Omega or Alpha who tries to get close, and only trusts Betas for personal work. The reason is simple: Betas do not release pheromones that could distract him.
Gaotu knows very well that this lie will one day destroy him. But as long as he can be by Shaoyou’s side, hear his voice every day, and protect him in silence... that is enough.
However, the world cannot be fooled forever. The truth is, a lie is still a lie.
