Kalim beamed when he saw who he thought was Ruggie. He waved at him, and the person also waved back. "Welcome! Welcome to Scarabia!" He grasped his wrist, pausing.
He could feel the bones through the skin.
He wasn't eating enough.

He wasn't being fed well.
He needs to eat.

Ruggie looked awkward, freeing his wrist from Kalim's grasp. Kalim snapped back to reality and plastered back his smile. "Ah, I'm sorry for staring at you earlier! I was just mesmerized by your looks!"
Not that it was a lie. Besides, Ruggie looks cute blushing!
"Ah.. uhm... well—."
"Shark Sucker, nice to see yah!" Looking behind Ruggie, Kalim saw a trio. One of them had glasses on with a 'Let's make a deal' smile, and the two, who were twins, had teal hair—one of them had a black strand on the left and the other had it on the right.
The one who had it on the left, grinned at him. "Hmm~ yah look like a Sea Otter. Nee, Sea Otter, is Kingyo-chan here~?"
Kalim blinked at him, tilting his head in confusion. 'Kingyo-chan...? Is that... Uhh Riddle, was it?'
Seeing the look on Kalim's face, the guy's smile dropped into a disinterested one. He began to turn around when his twin placed his hand on his shoulder. "Now, now, Floyd, you agreed to come here. There's no backing out now."
Ah, so that was Floyd Leech... Meaning the right strand guy is Jade Leech. Kalim internally nodded.
"Tch, whatever. Goldfishie isn't here, it'll be borin' anyway—."
"I advise you to not call me by that insulting nickname."
Kalim saw how Floyd's face lit up. Running up to a red haired guy, who was standing next to a silver haired guy.
Floyd wrapped his arms around the guy's waist, lifting him up in the air. Riddle turned red in the face(Kalim wasn't sure if it was from anger or something else.
"F-FLOYD, PUT ME DOWN THIS INSTANT!"
The red boy struggled to be free from the strong grip, ultimately giving up when the grip only got stronger. Floyd squealed slightly when Riddle reluctantly hugged him back. "Kingyo-chan! Kingyo-chan! Glad yah here!"
"Could you release me now?" Thankfully for Riddle, Floyd listened albeit with hesitation. Unfortunately for the spectators, it ended.
"Damn, and I thought Floyd couldn't listen to anyone. Maybe Riddle should be around during basketball practice." Kalim's scream could be heard in the main campus, like literally.
He covered his mouth in embarrassment, mumbling apologies. Jamil just sighed, releasing himself from an octopus' grip. "Foods ready, by the way."
The look on Ruggie's face was the highlight of Kalim's day(even if he doesn't know it). The first years went to follow Jamil to the Lounge, only to be surprised to see it was empty without the dorm members there.
Kalim grinned at them when they turned around to him, questions in their eyes. "Hehe, well, I ask them about their schedules each and they all seem busy on this certain day! What a relief."
Riddle raised an elegant eyebrow, "And pray tell, why is it a relief?"
"Well—."
"He wanted to celebrate the fact he got friends other than 'me'," Jamil interrupted him unintentionally, giving a plate to Kalim—who mumbled a thank you—and to the rest too. "Come on now, I didn't make this food just for nothing."
Ruggie was the first to be putting food on his plate, followed by an enthusiastic Kalim and a dragged Jamil(by Kalim), and then Silver. Soon after, the tweels followed.
Azul and Riddle watched them in an awkward silence, both sitting on the couch. Azul turned to look at Riddle with a business smile. "May I inquire, Riddle, why are you not joining them?"
"I'm not hungry," 'And besides I've already met my daily calorie intake today', was left unsaid on his tongue; nearly rolling out but was pushed back in. Riddle turned to Azul. "What about you?"
"Hm, I've already eaten. I wasn't expecting to be dragged by the tweels to come here, so I'm deeply saddened that I cannot taste the food Jamil made." Azul turned back to watch the six others grab food to eat.
Both knew the other was lying, yet they couldn't pinpoint what exactly they were lying.
The tweels walked towards them, with a heavy large portion of food on their plate. Riddle reluctantly made space for Floyd to sit beside him.
Floyd held a spoonful of food near Riddle's mouth, who was very much resisting the attempt of food. "Come on, Goldfishie~. You can't grow taller if you don't eat~."
"Floyd, I've already eaten—." Riddle's words were cut off by food entering his mouth. His pupils dilated when he realized.
It's... sweet... Poison.
Sugar. Poison.
'It's bad for you, my dear. Sugar is poisonous, I'm only doing this to protect you.'
He puts a hand to his mouth, running to wherever the bathroom was in. But he didn't manage to reach it, instead collapsing into the floor—throwing up the food content in his mouth and the things he ate early.
He stared at the disgusting pile of food. 'My pest, how could you leave such a mess?! You're such an ungrateful child! Do you know how much I sacrificed for you to be here?!'
Quietly, he took out his magic pen and cast a spell to clean up the mess. Without another word, he walked away, back to the Lounge.
It was quiet, filled with tension. He sat next to Jamil, looking at the interior design. His eyes drifted off to Azul eating reluctantly by the other twin. Then at the other's twin looking back at him then at his food.
And after that, they played games. Azul had to double look if Riddle was the same guy that couldn't lie to save his life because he won multiple times! Riddle wouldn't exactly admit it outright but he enjoyed the faces Azul makes.
Thankfully, nothing bad happened after that. However, Riddle would like to know why the same Leech didn't let go of his hand, even after his companions walked through the portal.
Floyd looked awkward, like he was experiencing this for the first time, "Can... can we, y'know, talk?"
Riddle huffed, but agreed nonetheless. They walked to a secluded area Kalim pushed them to. They stood face to face with each other.
Riddle had his arms crossed near his chest, while Floyd was scratching his neck. "Look... I.. uhh, fuck, apologies are so hard."
"It's only hard for you when you want to say it genuinely. But nevertheless I'll accept your failed apology."
"...I would like to apologize to you because I didn't accept no as an answer and force you to do something you didn't really wanna do. And I know you truly don't accept my apology but I'll do anything to make sure that I get your full acceptance of it and even after that, I'll still do anything." Floyd was red on the face when he ended the speech.
Riddle was speechless, he had expected a half apology from the other, but this? This was quite unexpected. He felt his own face become hotter by the second before he hid it in his palm. "...If you truly want to apologize then... you must help with the next unbirthday celebration preparations two weeks from now."
Floyd nodded his head multiple times, determined. "Yes, Goldfishie. I'll do it."
And for the first time, Riddle didn't exactly mind the nickname the other gave him. He quite finds it enduring(not like he'd admit it).

Kalim coed at the scene in front of him. Really, Jamil should've told him that there was a love drama in the school! And who loves drama more than him.
Well, at least this day was a success first hangout with the first years. Thank the sevens, that crow had agreed to have the Scarabia students, except Jamil, clean the whole campus!
He does feel a little bit bad tho... Either way, he got friends! Ahhh, he was so excited to tell his mama!
'Phew, that ended quite well. And I'm so glad Ruggie isn't abused in his household...'

Kalim was grinning from ear to ear. He was so happy! This was their second hang out being friends!
Well, probably in his point of view, he could tell that they only see each other as acquittances rather than friends. But Kalim wanted them to see each other as the best of friends sooner rather than later.
"Kalim," Turning around, he saw Silver walk out of the mirror—holding a bag and an umbrella. "Hello, Fa—Lilia told me to bring extra clothes lest I get stuck here due to the storm."
Kalim laughed slightly, he reached out his palm towards Silver, who shook it. "..."
"..."
"You were supposed to hand it to me..."
"...Oh."
Silver shook his head, insisting that he could carry it himself. They were so engrossed in their bickering that they didn't saw a figure walk close behind Kalim.
"Boo!"
"AHHH—RUGGIE! Don't scare me like that!" Kalim was practically clinging to Silver for dear life, while said silver haired man kept stumbling from the sudden extra weight thrown at him. Ruggie was grinning like he got the cream.
"Nishishi, sorry~." They would have(not) believed it if it were not the amused look on Ruggie's face. Ruggie winched slightly when someone tugged on his ear.
Kalim and Silver looked at the perpetrator, with murderous contempt. Only to relax slightly seeing as it was only a soaked Leona.
Leona sighed. "He wanted me to come along with him, and said it was productive."
"Ah bon? Alors je ne peux qu'acquiescer. Te voir trempée est un spectacle à ne pas manquer, Leona-senpai." A very familiar voice reached their ears. Leona grumbled, turning around to see Riddle wearing an amused smile whilst holding a basket on one hand and an umbrella the other.
Seeing the sling bag slowly fall from Riddle's shoulder, Leona walked up to him and extended his hand, gesturing for him to give it to him. Riddle blinked up at him, but obliged. "Ma sincère gratitude."
Kalim tilted his head at Riddle, who looked back and nodded in his direction. He was going to speak when thunder was heard, making them hurry inside.
Riddle tried to reason with Leona, to give him back his bag so that he could go back to his own dorm—although, his complaint wasn't exactly comprehensible due to it being in Pyroxene language. Leona yelped when Riddle brought his sharp ass pointy heel shoe so close to Leona's private part. It was certainly a surprise to them seeing Leona yelp.
That got a laugh out of the group, well except Riddle and Leona—who were in a glaring contest. When Kalim opened the door to his room, he was surprised to see the tweels and an octopus looking around with a very annoyed Jamil sitting near the edge of the bed.
"Why didn't I saw you guys walk through the mirror?"
The trio looked at the group, Azul adjusted his glasses and smoothed out his wet clothes. "Hm, I wasn't exactly planning on coming here, however the tweels dragged me here and didn't grab an umbrella."
"That doesn't explain—."
"I was astonished by how they packed my part of the clothes, even though I said I did not want to come here."
"Azul."
"Being sneaky has its perk when we were young."
Riddle nodded at that, putting it in his brain storage so he could expect an attack from Floyd whenever. "Azul, puis-je poser une question?"
Azul's eyes boggle at his words, he looked at the others with confusion in his eyes—which they returned with their own. Floyd was cackling at their expression.
Riddle handed the basket to Jamil, before looking at Azul in the eyes. "...Hm?"
The room was filled with confused silence, Azul continued to stare at Riddle, who was still expecting an answer from Azul. Eventually, Floyd broke the silence. "Héhé, Goldfishie~, tu parles encore en Pyroxène~!"
The group sent a surprised look at the eel, which he wholeheartedly ignored. Instead, his attention was one the red hair—who was looking at him in shock, before he realized what he was talking about.
The red haired boy's face was almost the same as his hair. He coughed into his fist, avoiding the purplish-blue eyes looking at him in amusement. "Ahem, apologies, what I meant to say was, may I ask you a question?"
"Oh, I see. Hm..., maybe later, after all this is our hangout, right?" As he said that, a lightning bolt appeared outside. It made Kalim scream and clung onto Ruggie's, whose ears were flat on his head.
Riddle clung himself to Leona, who was protectively clutching him too. Jamil was standing there with a clingy octopus. The tweels were hugging each other for dear life.
Leona looked at the shaking Riddle. "Can you let go now?" His voice was soft in asking him, Riddle looked up at him; blinking multiple times before he finally let go albeit with reluctance.
Riddle redirected his line of sight to Floyd, "Floyd." Floyd snapped his head in his direction, with his droopy smile. "Yes, Kingyo-chan~?"
"Since when did you speak Pyroxene?"
"Weeellll, you see, Goldfishie, when I was very young..."

"...And that's how I know Pyroxene." Floyd ended his story after an hour of doing so and occasionally getting interrupted by Jade, who would correct anything if it was wrong in his eyes.
Leona had walked out and didn't explain why, halfway through Floyd's explanation. The first years were in several states of interest during Floyd's explanation; Riddle, Kalim, and Silver were amused, Jade, and Azul were correcting him, and Jamil was carefully laying out the tarts and away from Ruggie—who was drooling from seeing it.
Azul summoned plates and gave each first years one. Ruggie was, obviously, the first to claim the first slice. Kalim went next, but let Jamil check if it was poisoned or not—much to the confusion of the other people in the room. Jamil nodded at him, before getting his own slice whilst Kalim was gushing at how he loved the taste.
Silver, who woke up, was almost crying tears of joy, eating something edible. Jade followed suit, putting two slices of the chestnut tart on his plate after seeing Azul not having materialized a plate for himself. Azul had to reluctantly manifest a plate to take it.
Now there were two people who have yet to claim their slice. Riddle looked at Floyd, who was sitting on the floor, humming. "Might I ask why you're not joining them, Floyd?"
"Meh, not hungry." Riddle would like to disagree, he could clearly see Floyd clutching his stomach to not let him hear it grumble.
He sighed, "It seems, I have no choice."
Floyd sent him a puzzled look as he stood up to the table, and picked up a piece. Riddle paused, looking at the remaining last slice, and reluctantly placed that slice.
Riddle sat, surprisingly, on the floor next to Floyd. He handed him one of the pieces of the tart, Floyd gave a small yet genuine smile.
"Goldfishie, is the other one yours~?"
"No."
"Then don't mind if I take it~." When Floyd started moving to get the last slice, Riddle lifted the plate up in the air and started scooching away, which made Floyd smirk. "Nee, nee, Kingyo-chan~, I thought it wasn't yours~?"
"..."
Floyd happily munched on his slice, while occasionally butting on the conversion of the other first years. Riddle was staring at his own slice, hesitantly picking up his fork.
He was startled when a hand cut a small piece from his tart and placed it near his lips. He glared at the perpetrator, Floyd, who was looking at him expectantly.
The audience watching them, rushed to take their phone out to record this moment. Yet it felt like a singular brick was removed from his shoulders. Feeling like a teenager for once.
He slowly opened his mouth, and ate the piece of tart given to him—Floyd lit up, seeing him eat it. He hummed in satisfaction.
"Good?"
"Good, although I'd rather had it be strawberry tarts. Besides Trey already makes these for me if I want any"
"I'll make one for yah if Kingyo-chan visits Mostro Lounge!"
"There's no need, Floyd—."
"Nonsense! Kingyo-chan needs to eat more to grow~."
"Floyd! I swear to the sevens—."
Kalim continued to eat his piece of tart while Jamil was sitting next to him—also eating whilst recording Floyd and Riddle's interaction. Azul and Jadez who were finished eating their slice, were recording with amused expressions.
Silver looked at the recording group. He whispered to them, "We're playing this at their wedding, right?"
"If they will have one."
"Kalim. Kalim, I swear. They're the only couple I ship! Don't sink the boat before it even sets sail!" Jamil had a panicked expression on his face while also shaking his head.
"You're going to ship us? To where?" Riddle snapped his head towards them, confusion in his eyes. Jamil turned to look at him. "Man... You really are an unc, huh?"
"What? I'm not a—?"
"Haha! Well uhh how about we play a game?"
That got everyone's attention. Azul glared at Riddle, who merely gave him a smile. "What kind, Ruggie?"
"Smash or Pass." Ruggie grinned, seeing the expressions on their faces made it grow wider. Kalim laughed awkwardly. "Perhaps, we should pass this game?"
Sounds of agreement were heard in the room, making Ruggie pout. "Fine, fine, well what game should we do?"
"Two truths, one lie!" Kalim raised his hand quickly to suggest it. The first years looked at him then at each other, and nodded. Kalim internally did a victory dance.
"Okay, I'll start! Hmm..., okay I got it;
1. I used to pretend to be sick to escape classes when I wanted to.
2. My little sister's mom gave me a poisonous snake that died mysteriously a few days later. She got executed for trying to harm me.
3. My hair used to be super long that assassins used to their advantage."
Jamil really wanted to laugh at their dumbfounded expression, really he does but he had to hold it in. Kalim covered his mouth. "Jamil can't guess! Nor give clues!"
"I—... I never thought I'd feel the urge to suddenly jump off a building." Riddle exclaimed, and then the rain started to get heavy. "Metaphorically. But I'll pick... Three?"
"Surprised you didn't pick one."
"Shut it."
Floyd held out three fingers. Jade and Azul raised two. Ruggie and Silver picked one. "It's one!" He grinned at them. The others just looked at him in shock.
"...WHAT. WHAT THE FUCK IS UP WITH YOUR LIFE?!"
"Man, so this is what it's like to be of a higher status..."
Riddle mumbled something under his breath, yet only Kalim could hear it. 'Huh, interesting.' He mused.
