Work Text:

Yoichi isn't particularly fond of field trips; he's never seen the appeal, though he doesn't complain—he likes a change of scenery. This week, due to a debate between schools, it was decided to bring other students along to witness the discussion. Isagi isn't a fan of this kind of thing; he prefers physical activities, like soccer, but he wants to support his classmates just as they support him in their matches.

Right now, they're on the noisy, restless bus, which is swaying from side to side. If it keeps going, he might throw up. He hopes he doesn't; he'd look ridiculous. Next to him, his friend Bachira is fidgeting and chattering excitedly about their plans. The city they're going to is Kamakura, specifically Kanagawa Prefecture, and even more specifically, Hakuho Junior High School, a school full of rich and pretentious kids. Isagi hopes he doesn't run into any of them.

Luckily, the hours have passed quickly, and they're almost there. He can see some students walking toward the school, recognizable by their bright uniforms. Suddenly the bus skids and stops abruptly, making Bachira and Chigiri, his other companion who is in the seats behind him with Kunigami, scream.

The class representative nervously apologized, bowing repeatedly before asking everyone to get off the bus in an orderly fashion. None of his classmates listened, of course, and they grabbed their bags as fast as they could and ran towards the school. Among them was Bachira, who didn't even bother cleaning up the mess he'd made on his seat and grabbed Isagi's wrist to drag him off the bus. As he got off the bus, he could hear Chigiri still inside cursing them for spilling his drink on his expensive clothes, and Kunigami trying to calm him down. Bachira scampered through the hallways, bumping into everyone. Isagi apologized every time they collided with someone; they should be more careful if they were going to be running around like that.

He could hear the students groaning as they were hit by Isagi's bag. Suddenly, he'd let go of Bachira's wrist and lost him. He looked around, his eyes wide like a deer in a dazzled light, feeling like he was about to have a panic attack. His panic intensifies when he feels an unfamiliar hand on his wrist, pulling him away from the crowd and the chaos. The hand is soft, with a firm grip, almost like an authority figure. They enter a room he assumes is a bathroom, and before Isagi can attack or defend himself against this kidnapper, a torrent of water splashes onto his face, soaking his clothes. Isagi must be dead, because the person in front of him seems unreal, an angel who has come to find him, with long eyelashes, bright turquoise eyes, and slightly long green hair. He'd even venture to say he's cuter than Chigiri—if Chigiri heard that, she'd kill him.

"Hey, are you okay? You looked scared." The boy in front of him blinks worriedly. Isagi feels his voice crack; he feels like he'll say something strange if he speaks like this. The boy with the lower eyelashes seems to notice this and gives him a strange look. "Are you mute? I hadn't thought of that..." This snaps Isagi out of his reverie, and he shakes his head.

"N-No! I was just a little shocked." He lets out a nervous giggle. The boy looks him up and down, and Isagi thinks he's going to pee himself from nerves; it would be too embarrassing to do that to someone so cute. The boy stares at his chest and notices his badge. His eyes sparkle as if he's found the cure for a terminal illness, and Yoichi thinks it's the cutest thing in the world; he looks like a kitten.

"Come on, I'll take you to your group."
