Today's forecast calls for blue skies

Summary:

The end of the [UTTUxBarcarola] interview.

Work Text:

Barcarola:

I just love sharing music! And making music is just as wonderful!

Pandora Wilson:

I'm glad that your passion is burning bright, miss Barcarola.

The readers of UTTU want to know how you've created your famous 'Crackling box' and what the process was.

Barcarola:

The first step was to modify my violin into something that could resonate with the melody in my heart.

After that, I imbued my Arcane skill in it.

Tune it, because the incantation had messed with it.

I still have to care for ir carefully, every morning and night, but that's so it can capture every note in my mind.

Those are the makings of my 'Crackling box'.

Pandora Wilson:

That is brilliant, miss Barcarola.

I never knew that the famous 'Crackling box' had such a complicated process.

You've said that you want it to capture the notes in your mind and have it resonate with your heart.

Do you think of music as a way to express your creativity or a way of translating your soul into something that everyone can understand?

Barcarola:

Well, I believe in both.

Music is indeed a way to express yourself, but that can also be seen as converting something that cannot be described in words into notes.

That something is your melody, your soul.

Pandora Wilson:

Well said.

Our readers have let us know that they want to know what the most unexpected night was that you've experienced on the Free Breeze.

Barcarola:

Well, it was something truly terrifying, atleast for me.

It was around when I was almost asleep.

It was a quiet night on port; it was those nights that I could never fall asleep easily.

I opened my window, it had a beautiful view, something I've always treasured.

I expected to hear the vibrato of the ship's whistle, the deep legato of its horn.

The rumbling bass of the engines and the rocking meter of the open sea were my lullaby.

Instead, I heard the mumbling of distorted voices, the moans and cries of the damned and screams of desperation.

It was terrifying, yes, but now that I looked back at it; I regret never trying to find the origin of those cries.

Pandora Wilson:

Miss Barcarola, how many days or months was that before the sinking of the Free Breeze?

I have an inkling of what it might be.

Barcarola:

It was two weeks before the sinking.

Now that I think about it, wasn't it also the time that the Free Breeze got new guards.

Yeah, I remember.

They weren't much with talking, but they had a suffocating aura. Almost as if they weren't something as simple as arcanist or human.

They might’ve been sent by the Manus.

That would make sense.

Pandora Wilson:

I think you might’ve solved your biggest regret.

There might be a report or article that you could use to confirm this.

Well then, I think all of the readers have had all of their questions answered.

Do you have anything to share, miss Barcarola?

Barcarola:

Well, I hope that you had a wonderful time reading this interview.

I am extend my thanks to my adoring fans.

I'll always be grateful for having to be able to basking in your praise.

Goodnight and wonderful dreams.

Pandora Wilson:

Thank you for this opportunity to interview you, miss Barcarola.

This was the [UTTUxBarcarola] interview.

Have a good night, dear readers.
