Finn and Shrimpo were sitting on the dock, Shrimpo was sitting there watching Finn do his work, catching fish here and there, throwing one in the water after the other.
"YOU CAUGHT ENOUGH FISH!!! WHEN CAN WE GO ALREADY!! IM BORED!! I HATE WAITING!!!" Shrimpo ranted, he kicked his feet against the water impatiently. Finn brought his finger to his lips in a shushing motion,"Shhh! You're gonna scare the fish away!" Shrimpo huffed, giving Finn a frustrated look, Finn giggled,"I'm aaaalmost done! Just let me catch one more fish and then we'll get going." Finn smiled widely, Shrimpo groaned as he rolled his eyes, slouching over and laying his hands on his face.
"Hey! Don't get so crabby Shrimps! We could maybe... go on a date after this? It'll be my treat!" Finn smiled softly, Shrimpo stared at Finn, feeling his own face heat up slightly. Finn giggled at Shrimpo's expression, Shrimpo noticed, "HEY! WHAT'S SO FUNNY!!" Shrimpo growled, his face still slightly pink, Finn's giggle turned into a howl of laughter, wiping a tear from his eye from laughing so hard. "Nothing, nothing! It's just you look cute when you get like that." Shrimpo growled, his face flustering up even more.
"UGH! WHATEVER!! ARE WE GONNA GO YET OR NOT!!!!" Shrimpo crossed his arms, kicking his leg faster against the water. "Aww.. let me just catch one mo-" "NO! I HATE WAITING! LET'S JUST GO ALREADY!!" Shrimpo waved his arms in an attempt to show how impatient he was, but he just looked funny to Finn. "Alright, alright! We can go!" Finn got up, putting his gear back. Finn reached out his hand, Shrimpo quickly snatching Finn's hand in his own, trying to hide his slightly softened expression, to which Finn smiled.
Finn and Shrimpo walked around the area, Finn looking for a place for a date, "SO..WHERE ARE WE GOING???" Shrimpo also looking around, when Finn spotted a place. "There! We could go to the diner to get some-fin quick!" Finn pointed to the place, Shrimpo observed it, "I HATE IT." "But you hate everything?" "UGH! LET'S JUST GO! I HATE WAITING!" Shrimpo scoffed, "Perfect!! Let's go then!" The two walked in the diner, it was pretty empty considering it was already the evening.
They sat down, quickly ordered what they wanted, then waited.
"It's nice to be somewhere where there's more AC, I worked a sweat while I was out there! You're lucky I didn't make you reel in any-fin this time!" Finn smiled, Shrimpo giving Finn that same, frustrated look. "IT'S NOT COLD ENOUGH HERE!" Shrimpo laid his elbow on the table, holding his cheek with his palm. Finn giggled, "That's not rare to hear! Considering you're cold-blooded..." Finn mumbled, "I'VE ALWAYS BEEN COLD-BLOODED!! UGGGHH! I HATE WHEN YOU KEEP TELLING ME STUPID THINGS ABOUT ME THAT I ALREADY KNOW!!" Shrimpo dug his fingers into his cheek, "Gill-ax Shrimpo! I already knew you were cold-blooded! I was just saying!" Finn slightly waved his arms around, Shrimpo scoffed.
The two got their milkshakes as they began enjoying, Shrimpo was the first to finish his, as he chugged all of it so he could start complaining how little there was of the drink, "UGH!! I HATE WHEN PEOPLE DON'T MAKE THESE PROPERLY!!" Shrimpo spat, Finn tilted his head, although he already knew what Shrimpo was going to complain about, he still liked listening to him. "IT'S LIKE THEY PUT NOTHING BUT WHIPPED CREAM!!! I HATE WHIPPED CREAM!!! IT DESTROYS EVERYTHING!! AND DON'T GET ME STARTED ON THE CHERRY!! I HATE THAT TOO!! THEY PUT IT THERE FOR NOTHING!! I ALSO HATE.." Shrimpo kept going with his rant, while Finn sat there and listened, nodding his head every now and then. He liked, no LOVED listening to Shrimpo's ranting, it's like the way Finn talks about his own fish puns and fish facts, he finds topics to keep going. At this point Finn completely zoned out, staring at Shrimpo, he loved how cute he looked, he loved this date, he loved-
"ARE YOU LISTENING TO ME FISH-TANK!!" Finn shook himself out of it, he had a perplexed look on his face. "Sorry!! I couldn't kelp but stare at you the whole time, I like listening it's just.." Finn breathed "You look cute when you just ramble the entire time." Finn gave Shrimpo a soft look, Shrimpo couldn't help but look away, trying to hide his flushed face. Finn told ahold of Shrimpo's hands, gently holding them in his, Finn let out a slight chuckle, as the two kept enjoying their date.
The two walked out the diner, hand in hand, both satisfied with their date. Shrimpo blabbering about things that irritated him the walk back to his place, Finn spotted a lake, they decided to sit down on a bench so they could talk for just a bit longer, Finn rested his head on Shrimpo's shoulder, Shrimpo resting his head on Finn's as he kept ranting about everything at once, after talking for a bit they kept walking, eventually getting to Shrimpo's house.
"Alright, so... see youu... tomorrow..?" Finn asked, Shrimpo looked away for a second, "FINE." "Reel-y??" Finn gleemed, "YES!! BUT ONLY BECAUSE I HAVE NOTHING ELSE TO DO!!" Shrimpo crossed his arms, Finn looked at his smugly. "Or maaybbee... you want to see me?" Shrimpo huffed, "GOODBYE FINN!!" "Wait!" Finn gently grabbed Shrimpo's wrist. "I.. reel-y liked today, thanks for coming with me." Finn smiled, Shrimpo grumbled, Finn noticed Shrimpo's slightly pink cheeks, cupping them with both of his hands, pulling him in for a kiss. Shrimpo's eyes widened for a second, then he leaned in a second after, holding Finn's waist. They pulled apart, Finn giggling.
"Okay Shrimps! I'll see you tomorrow then." Finn gave Shrimpo a light peck on his forehead, Shrimpo huffing in return, "BYE FINN... I LOVE YOU..." Shrimpo mumbled, Finn's eyes lit up, giving Shrimpo a wide smile. "Love you too!! Bye Shrimpo!!!" Finn ran off, waving goodbye. Shrimpo watched Finn run off then headed inside, he sighed, he hated how much he loved that date with Finn, and he hated how much he couldn't wait for tomorrow.
