'I hope this isn't the end… '
He died…and could see only darkness and hear his thoughts…
But he hoped, by God's grace, that something would take him out of here. He didn't want to spend his time here — not in this emptiness of depression.
It hadn't been long but he felt, if he stayed here, he'd be driven insane.
'Any god, anyone… please.'
This was the part — A R.O.B — or some deity spawned — giving him cheats and transmigrating him. Alas, reality was different…
He'd been given a black screen to stare at for the rest of eternity. An eternity of pure torture… just the thought made him sick.
Maybe he just needed some patience, it hadn't been long anyway.
Just maybe….
Please….
'God I pray to you to end this suffering; give me a new life I beg.'
He hoped with all of his heart that this wasn't it. This new life, he wouldn't take for granted, and enjoy it to the fullest.
After a few moments, a light shone through… and he heard subtle voices. It's like the universe felt his unwavering honesty, granting him his wish.
A force sucked him out of the emptiness and brought him into the light. He saw a massive figure holding him, with a mask on. And a beeping noise coming from a machine next to a bed.
There were human faces staring at him.
"Congratulations, It's a boy, Emi-san!"
He faintly heard another voice, "So cute…! You have my skin tone and hair!"
That same voice spoke again, "My baby… I already have a name for you: your name is Kaen."
He looked up with his cute eyes — a warmth felt from this woman and name — whilst having an unnatural urge to cry, that he couldn't stop.
"UAAUAA!"
His emotions that had built up, also came through.
'Thank you… Thank you…! To whoever put me here.'
Kaen, in his previous life, had goofed around not taking life seriously — spending his days watching anime and reading manga. He had no social life, and a virgin in death.
A real lazy fool.
Only after death did he feel immense regret… lamenting on how he wasted his life. But he felt grateful, for being given a new life.
In this one, he wouldn't take anything for granted.

Two months later…
'She looks so beautiful and happy. Just from me crawling.'
Kaen paced himself across the room slowly. He cutely laughed — his real emotions surfacing — seeing his mum cheer for him.
"Hehehe," he laughed cutely, over the moon at this development.
"My baby…! He's already crawling…. Wow!"
Emi clutched her fists over her chests and watched as her son crawled. It was his first time moving, and so sudden… so fast.
As a mother, she felt extreme joy.
Only two months passed and he regained half his sensory movement. He didn't think much since he was a reincarnator… but the air felt different… heavier, stronger.
It wasn't normal.
Regardless, he felt warmth as his mum clenched her fists proudly. His chest felt warm… something he hadn't felt in a long time.
And he loved it…
Maybe it was what he longed for such a long time…
In his past life, his parents had died early. He was left with a decent inheritance before he turned eighteen, and spent his days as a shut in.
Before their death, he was cheerful — living happily… but that spark grew out after their passing.
This caused his ambition to die, and his heart grew cold, not wanting anyone in his life.
However, the void fueled him again, making him realise something. That his parents wouldn't want him to be in such a sorry state.
They'd want him to enjoy life without them —- so now he was… going to live to the fullest.
'Mom, dad… I hope you're enjoying your new lives.'
Their reincarnation; he hoped it fulfilled them as they died early…
And he thanked them for taking care of him, and apologised for wasting their efforts. But now, he wasn't going to make the same mistake.
Kaen stared at his mum and gleefully smiled, crossing the finish line and crawled across the full room.
"Kyaa!" she ran tiredly; her pale face still glowing brightly after the pregnancy.
She hugged him tightly, "Kaen, mummy is so proud… who's a good boy…" She rubbed her cheeks on his, " Who's going to carry on being my good boy."
He winced as his cheeks were smothered…
'Sigh… Parent's have no chill…'

Three months passed…
'You've got to be kidding me, no way!'
Kaen stood up on his cot, and looked outside. He saw the three Hokage heads…
Of course, as an avid anime guy — he recognised the three statues in an instant. It was from his favourite show: Naruto…
And here he thought his new life would be peaceful.
In his head, he'd thought this traditional world was gonna be a breeze, using his previous life's knowledge.
Even thinking, that yeah… he could make change by slowly adding inventions or something along the lines…
Now, his dreams came crashing down, like the universe was saying:
You thought bitch…
However, slowly the realisation clicked.
'The air… no wonder it's so different.'
'And the traditional setting… the kimonos and the Japanese language.'
Of course!
He clicked his puffy cheeks, 'Chakra… the fundamental energy of this world.'
It was Naruto! The world where Ninja's breathed elements and fought like superheroes.
His chest felt tight; and his heartbeat thumped fast. He clenched his fists, and for the first time, he formed words — his voice squeaky and loud, "Thuck theah!"
His little fists pumped up in the air, looking at the village outside. It really was his favourite show…
A certain voice came in his head, making him chuckle, 'Ya better believe it!"
He imagined the orange kid, jumping up and smiling sheepishly.
'This is awesome.'
Kaen was on cloud nine right now.
Despite not having an easy life, this wasn't bad — it was like a dream come true.
He'd fantasised about this everyday in his old world. Finding everything else boring.
Especially, living a life, where you work till your old age and then die. He dreaded that when his inheritance was about to finish.
But anyways, Kaen couldn't wait to start doing cool ninja stuff and spitting things out his mouth.
'It definitely wasn't bars.'

A year and five months later…
When Kaen turned two, he felt his stomach growing warmer — as his chakra had grown sufficiently to start training.
Finally the time had come and Kaen's giddiness kicked in. He really was pumped to begin his first steps.
'The grind starts now.'
So, he skipped to the backyard happily, and plucked a leaf. Then, he sat down and brought it to his forehead.
Kaen brought awareness to his forehead and channelled chakra there. This was easier than he thought.
Except, when he stuck the leaf — he'd feel a suction and the leaf would fall — then his chakra dissipated.
'Okay… nevermind. Not so easy.'
Despite this, he never gave up. He tried again and again; the leaf falling a dozen times.
All until… the moment where it finally stuck for a few seconds.
"Yes! I… I did it." he whispered heavily.
The leaf fell down but he smiled and picked it up again, carrying on until he got this down.
After an hour, he could hold it for thirty seconds.
However, his chakra reserves were completely exhausted, limiting his training time for today.
And for the rest of his days…
That sucked; he was hoping for a long grind… like training everytime he was free.
Now, it was just a measly hour… that really… was lame.
Also, he couldn't start his body training because his body's too weak. His schedule could amount to this for now.
Wait…
He just realised, he completely forgot about another aspect.
Meditation.
'How could I forget?!'
In the show there were two ways to increase chakra, physically and
spiritually.
This meant he could increase his chakra capacity much faster
earlier. A huge help and a headstart.
Combined with exhausting chakra reserves everyday, this would be a good boost.
Without further adieu, he closed his eyes for a long period and sat there…
This shit was boring…
But… he carried on as long as he could, and pushed through.
Nothing stopping his grind…

"Here comes the choo-choo train," said his mother, gliding a spoon into his mouth.
'This… felt like crap.'
Kaen begrudgingly opened his mouth and ate his food. His mother chuckled at his defiant look.
"Mum, I'm two… I can feed myself, you know.," he declared, chewing the remaining food.
Emi covered her mouth and chuckled, "Hoo–Hoo… such impatience my son."
"Mummy will feed you whenever she feels like," she carried on, a bit of fierceness in her words.
Her tone sent a shiver down his spine, even though she smiled so happily.
Kaen could only sigh and take the next bite as she hummed, feeling pleasure in this task.
He didn't lie, if he said — he felt happy she enjoyed this. At the same time, it was kinda weird, as his mother watched him chew the food these past years, like entertainment.
Albeit, happy though… If she felt joy; he felt joy.
'Mother's are really the best!'
Although, there was something that bugged him… like a lot. It appeared in his mind from time to time.
He feared asking her this question as he was young. He knew the answer he'd get.
Now, he couldn't put it off anymore.
"Mum… I've got a question," he slowly glanced at her and back down at his food.
"But it's a different kind of question."
She tilted her head and smiled, "Mhmm, it's okay. Speak up dear."
His eyes darted side to side, "Well…"
"How should I say it…?"
The words were stuck in his throat…
He pumped himself beforehand, but it didn't work. He had to steel his balls for this type of thing.
This was nerve-racking… unbelievably nerve racking. Asking her such a question; he didn't want to put the mood down.
"Well…"
