Chapter Text
Jungwon had a problem
He’s the leader of his group, so he supposes he always has many problems to deal with. Like dealing with management, trying to get them to loosen up their impossibly packed schedules. Or waking up his members after a mere 3 hours of sleep, which he should technically be doing right now instead of having this crisis.
This problem was different. Unlike the problems he takes on for the group, this was, is, a personal problem. And personal problems are usually easy to deal with, just a quick breakdown session with Heeseung usually left him energized for the next little while.
But this problem is one he could never tell Heeseung, something he could never tell anyone. He’s enhypen’s leader, for god's sake, he’s supposed to be the epitome of communication, or something. How could he of all people have a personal problem with a member and not try to resolve it?
It bothers Jungwon that it’s Sunoo of all people. How could he have anything other than grateful thoughts for him like he’s not always trying to help everyone, his own well being be damned. Sunoo lets Jungwon cling to him for gods sake, comforting him silently by giving him hugs, or treating him to meals. He’s so caring, so thoughtful, so sweet in a way Jungwon has never experienced before. And that’s exactly the problem. He was too kind, enough to delude Jungwon into thinking he was special, that this kindness was only reserved for him. Of course it wasn’t. He’d be foolish to think so, since that’s precisely Sunoo’s love language, treasuring his loved ones through actions. He’s also overall just a really nice guy and probably treats the other members the same as well, but now Jungwon’s hopelessly in love with no chance of reciprocity.
So yeah, he has a problem, but it’s all Sunoo’s fault.
Or at least, that's the only conclusion Jungwon can come to right now. He has no time to reminisce on Sunoo, and the way he makes him feel, and this huge problem he’s causing him. And anyways, how would he get to see Sunoo’s sleeping face if he wasted any more time? Someone else might wake up, and realize they needed to be ready, like, 5 minutes ago.
“So much for being a responsible leader, '' Jungwon mumbles as he gets up from the dent he has been creating in the couch. At least he got his Sunoo-filled thoughts out of his head before the day started, so he'll be focused and in control later. What a productive breakdown, Jungwon thought as he returned to his room to start waking up the members. Now He can go through his day without his Sunoo-induced panic, and everything will go well.
-----------
His story starts a little like this: they met in I-Land. Anyone could see that Sunoo was having a tough time, always being sent to the ground. Jungwon was naturally curious about him, the few times he saw him in Part 1. He started following him around, and they became friends. It’s the cute meeting story they tell in their vlives and their variety shows.
Here’s what's missing: Jungwon fell in love with Sunoo. It’s not some puppy crush, not something that can come and go so easily. Believe him, Jungwon tried to get rid of this feeling the second he realized it. As Enhypen’s leader, as Sunoo's friend, as a man in South Korea, he could not be doing this. Or at least, that was his mindset back when they first debuted. By now, Jungwon has become so familiarized with this feeling, it’s integrated within him so deeply that his life is split into Pre-Sunoo and Post-Sunoo. He’s so wholly, irrevocably, unchangeably in love with the entirety of Kim Sunoo. Of course, the guilt of loving him while being so close to him—while hugging him, while sharing a room with him— never goes away. It only multiplies with his love. He never knew he had a big enough heart for all these emotions, but of course Sunoo had to go and change him in a “positive way”. Thanks for all these annoying new emotions, asshole.
If Jungwon was asked to explain why, he’d say his love for Sunoo doesn’t come with a set reason, instead the reason changes everyday. Sometimes it’s the way Sunoo looks, glowing in the moonlight after a long day of work, and sometimes it's the way Sunoo listens to him when no one else does, making him feel a little more secure as a leader. In the early mornings, his reason is the way Sunoo looks as he’s curled up in front of their window, eyes wide, watching the sun rise.
All Jungwon knows is that there is not a single flaw he can find about Sunoo. Everything about him is inherently lovely, as if he’s born solely to receive love. He could only hope he’d be allowed to give Sunoo all that love, to be the one by his side, to be more than just his cute dongsaeng.
He was quick to realize that things aren’t that easy, that he wouldn’t have a love story like the k-drama’s he watches. After all, Sunoo doesn’t want him in that way, doesn’t want him as anything other than a cute little brother. How does Jungwon know this? Easy. Sunoo told him.
Back in a time where Jungwon was a bit more ungraceful, unable to adapt to the addition of his life-changing, earth-shattering secret, he foolishly asked Sunoo what he thought about dating— dating guys specifically.
“Do you mean like, if I have a type? Or like, if I support guys dating guys? Because I support them! I mean I’m a guy who dates guys too, so it'd be a little ironic if I was like ‘Grr I hate them’— I mean, not that I’m dating anyone, I just meant— anyways, yeah I have a type. Do you? Oh my god, do you like guys too Jungwon-ah? I’ll answer if you do. Unless—”
God, Sunoo’s so cute when he’s rambling. He could listen to him talk all day, watching those full pink lips. Or actually maybe he would listen to Sunoo for a little while, then show him how he could put his mouth to better use by—
“Um. So do I. About liking guys— I mean— I like guys too. I don't, uh, have a type though. Now you answer,” Jungwon interjects. Fuck, he’s so lame, couldn’t even get through one sentence without stuttering like a little kid. This doesn’t help his case at all.
“Oh my gosh, thanks for telling me! I bet you do have a type. I’ll get it out of you someday. You better watch out,” Sunoo says teasingly, waggling a finger in his face. “Anyways, my type is guys who are taller than me, and go to the gym. Other than that, I think I have no preferences! But um, what brought this on?” Sunoo asks curiously.
Shit. Fuck. Abort mission. What is he supposed to say? What's a good excuse to ask your crush who his type is? Now that he thinks about it, who even does that? He’s so stupid for asking, for thinking he ever had a chance with someone as breathtaking, as ethereal, as innocent as Sunoo.
“Um. Just a conversation with a friend got me thinking. I thought you'd answer without judging me. Thanks hyung. I’m gonna go ask Jay-hyung now,” Jungwon blurted, scrambling out of their room to literally anywhere else. It wasn’t anything he didn’t already know, but god, did it hurt like a bitch. At least he could use this as fuel to get over his little crush.
And so it ends like this: Jungwon could never get over his crush. He loved Sunoo, and that fact has been stuck with him for quite a while now. One thing has changed though. He stopped following Sunoo around. He figured if he wants his crush to be lowkey, he’ll have to hide it well. And he could do that, that’s his speciality after all. Jungwon is quite literally known for his ability to compartmentalize, his rationality even in emotional situations, and most importantly, his self control. He can and will be in control of his feelings.
Definitely. No doubt about it.
---------------
He takes it back.
How dare Jungwon think he could be in control around Sunoo. He already overthinks daily, and these damn stage outfits are not making it any better. Sunoo is dressed as a barista - a fucking barista, with the brown apron making his skin look a little paler, the string tied just tight enough to accentuate his slim waist. It even has little pins on the front for god's sake, It’s like the stylists wanted Jungwon to take this innocent looking Sunoo.
Yes, they definitely knew what they were doing if Sunoo was dressed like this, all soft, with his waist looking like it was made for Jungwon to grab, like Sunoo was made to be flush against him, with rosy cheeks and a soft smile, so close you couldn’t tell where Jungwon ended and where Sunoo began. He wants Sunoo like this so bad it aches, he can almost feel the ache physically, and he’s addicted to the feeling. Wanting Sunoo like this is his high, he’s addicted, obsessed in the best way.
Sunoo is made to be his temptation today, his own personal kryptonite. Yet he can’t bring himself to stay away, can’t stop orbiting around Sunoo, like a lost little puppy at Sunoo’s heel begging for just a bit of attention— just a small smile in his direction and he’d be set.
It’s a shame the stylists are indulging Jungwon today, letting his mind run wild. Jungwon’s about to lose his mind looking at Sunoo, so the stylists should give themselves a pat on the back for a job well done. Jungwon aches to get a little closer to Sunoo, but he can’t— he definitely will not step foot near Sunoo lest he jump him.
He can’t even think about the outfit he just saw, or he will go feral, turn absolutely batshit insane and do something drastic, like complimenting Sunoo. He truly can’t think about it. Life is so hard, he thinks tiredly.
But it’d be such a good life if Jungwon could actually indulge in himself and feel like this all the time— he’d dedicate all his time to thinking about Sunoo, being around Sunoo, taking care of Sunoo.
Speaking of which, he could definitely take care Sunoo in that barista outfit right now, he could kiss Sunoo dumb, kiss him just right until he’s in a daze, until he forgets his name, make him feel so good he can’t help but—
“Ouch! Why would you do that, hyung? You’re so mean,” Jungwon whined, rubbing his stomach with a pout. He’s so annoying, interrupting the best part of his daydream. He should dislocate his elbow for that jab to the stomach.
Jay just laughed, patting Jungwon's head as an apology. “You deserved it man, we’ve been trying to talk to you, but you’ve been staring into space with a frown.”
Oh. That makes a lot of sense. Jungwon sneaks a glance at Sunoo, and sees he’s occupied with Ni-ki, bickering about something trivial. He's lucky he wasn't staring straight at Sunoo, since Niki finding out would be nightmare fuel for the next couple of years. Jungwon shudders, and thinks Jay might have actually helped him out. Maybe he won’t dislocate that elbow. Maybe.
Slipping back into professional mode, he quickly glances at the clock, which is currently pointing at 7:30. Great, 15 minutes until they had to perform. At least they’re not late like this morning, Jungwon thinks as he stretches.
“15 minutes until our stage guys. Let’s start heading downstairs. If anyone needs to use the washroom, you can go now, but you only have 2 minutes,” Jungwon announces, putting on his most leader-like voice.
Thankfully, the members get up without protest and begin shuffling downstairs. Jungwon can’t hide his excitement as he skips down the hall, earning a few chuckles from the staff behind him.
Dancing was always a great way for him to clear his head, as he immersed himself in whatever concept Enhypen was trying out. Today’s stage would be the perfect way to let out all his pent up frustrations, Jungwon thought as he got into position, waiting on standby. It helps that he loves his job, loves performing for their fans more than words can describe.
As the producer began counting them down, Jungwon looked over to Sunoo’s back. He’s still so alluring to look at, with broad shoulders but a tiny waist. At this point, he could only hope the fans also thought Sunoo was as hot as fuck today. Lightly pinching himself as the opening notes played, he swore to himself that he’d focus up and give their fans the best performance he could.
-----------
The stage did not make him feel any better.
In fact, he’s actually more frustrated now, after getting to touch Sunoo’s waist for one part of the song.
More than that, he’s disappointed in himself for getting distracted. He’s supposed to have some level of professionalism, performing is quite literally his job after all, yet he couldn’t smile or interact with the fans as much as he would have liked to. He was too focused on Sunoo, which was exactly what he was trying to avoid.
Jungwon loves his job, loves singing and dancing, loves being on stage, performing for their fans. And he got distracted because of what, Sunoo existing? Is he not more mature than letting his horny thoughts run rampant?
He thought he was comfortable with this love of his, thought that he could coexist with Sunoo and his overflowing love and just behave as normal. Clearly not, he thinks bitterly.
It’s truly saddening, and Jungwon can feel himself blinking back tears the more he thinks about it. Maybe he’s not as mature as he prides himself on being.
If his love for Sunoo has become so untamable that it’s affecting his work, then what next? It’s a scary thought, and it feels like Jungwon’s standing at the edge of a cliff. One wrong move and he’s losing his career, and possibly the other members too.
He can’t allow this to go on any longer.
Something needs to change, since Jungwon is clearly not able to keep up his perfect facade. Even though he’s already accepted that this love is definitely not fading anytime soon, there’s another solution that Jungwon’s been avoiding— he needs to get some advice from someone.
-----------
After a long day of promotions, the car ride home is silent, all the members either sleeping, or catching up on their phones.
It’s the perfect opportunity for Jungwon to think in peace. He needs to think of the best person to talk to about Sunoo. Mentally, he starts creating his list.
First of all, he can’t go to Heeseung. He would definitely just lock him in a room with Sunoo and go back to playing games. And either way, Heeseung always has so much on his plate, he’d feel bad to dump even more problems on him.
Sunghoon is immediately crossed off the list because he has the emotional intelligence of a rock. He’d also have to suffer daily humiliation, since Sunghoon’s the type to act like an idiot and wink at him whenever he interacts with Sunoo. Even the thought is irritating, so definitely no Sunghoon.
Ni-ki is younger than him, and also really close to Sunoo, which might compromise keeping all of this a secret, so he won’t even make it on the list. It’d also be hard to get genuine advice from him, as he often takes everything as a joke.
Jake, on the other hand, is really bad at keeping secrets. On the other hand, he’s always nice in a way the other members aren’t. He’s also much less of a himbo than Sunghoon, which is always a plus, so he gets a small ‘maybe?’ next to his name.
This only leaves one person— Jay. He was the obvious choice anyways, as they’re especially close and his advice is the best within the group. Jay’s always been good at deciphering when situations are serious, and he never cracks jokes during serious topics, which is exactly what Jungwon needs right now.
Now all that’s left is to find some time alone with Jay once they’re home and fix this stupid problem.
-----------
It’s been about 30 minutes since Jungwon’s been standing in front of the door of Jay and Jake’s shared room.
Somehow, he didn’t expect himself to be so nervous to talk about his feelings. It doesn’t help that Jay will be the first person to know, because so many things can go wrong.
Like, what if he records Jungwon and shows Sunoo, or if he tells the managers. The worst one would be if Jay thinks he’s disgusting. He could handle humiliation, he could even handle being kicked out of the group— but being hated by his best friend would break him, shatter him into unidentifiable pieces, and he’d never be the same again.
So yeah, he’s scared out of his mind, and he’s still standing in front of this stupid door.
Luckily, he’s taken out of his dilemma of whether to knock or not when the door suddenly swings open, revealing Jake.
“Oh,” Jake exclaims, clearly surprised to see someone standing directly in front of his door. “What are you doing here? Did you need something?”
“Yeah actually. I wanted to see if Jay was around, so I could talk to him,” Jungwon says, willing the tremble out of his voice.
“Woah, good timing Jungwon-ah! He just got off a call with his mom. Should I avoid the room for a bit?” Jake asks thoughtfully.
“Sorry, but yeah, that’d be great actually. I promise not to take too long though.” He can’t quite express his gratitude, but he smiles as he responds, and hopes Jake can feel it.
Jake grins back at him, and wishes him luck as he walks past Jungwon, probably headed to bother Heeseung.
What a great guy, Jungwon thinks as he walks into Jay’s room. He shuts the door with a soft click and takes a deep breath before turning around.
“Jungwon,” Jay calls questioningly, in that soft voice he uses to not scare him away. Usually it has its intended effect and calms him down, but today it only tightens his grip on the doorknob.
“Jongseong-hyung,” he starts. Jungwon doesn’t really know what to say, but using his given name is a surefire way to make Jay take this seriously.
And it works, because Jay’s face instantly turns serious, inquisitive in a way. He sits up a bit straighter and smiles a bit, to show Jungwon he’s listening.
“I have a problem, hyung. And I think it's, um, it’s kind of affecting me? Like— I feel— I can barely focus during work, and you know how important that is to me. And I just, I thought I came to peace with it, but clearly I didn’t, and I’m not sure— I don't know if…. I just can’t handle this by myself anymore, hyung.”
Jay’s eyebrows furrow the more he listens, which begins to scare him when he gets up and walks towards Jungwon. His mind begins to race with all the possibilities, with defence moves and exit routes he could use if Jay hits him.
Luckily, none of that happens, as Jay gently tugs him towards his bed, and sits him down.
“Slow down, Jungwon-ah, we’ve got time. I’ll help you, no matter what this problem is, you know. You’re family, Jungwon, so please let me in, let me help.” he murmurs carefully.
Trust Jay to always know what to say to soothe his worries.
Jungwon closes his eyes for a second, and takes another deep breath. He’s already come this far, might as well start from the beginning.
And so he does. He tells Jay about everything— they talk about I-land, about realising his feelings after debut, about how he’s not Sunoo’s type. He even mentions Sunoo’s outfit today, and how that’s the reason he was spaced out, which Jay softly chuckles at.
And Jay, bless that man, listens attentively like the saint he is. He doesn’t interrupt once, only hums and nods where it’s appropriate.
Once Jungwon’s all finished, throat sore from talking so much, he turns to Jay. He’s nervous, because although the chance is low, Jay could have a bad reaction. Maybe he waited all this time to have all the facts before he hits him where it hurts.
“First of all, thank you, for trusting me with your feelings. You’re really good at keeping secrets man, I swear I had no idea,” Jay assured.
“I mean, I kind of had to? We both know there was no time for anything other than work back then,” Jungwon mumbles.
Jay slightly frowns. “It sucks that you had to deal with this all alone for so long.”
Jay’s so thoughtful, always quietly putting himself in other’s shoes. His words make Jungwon’s heart feel a bit more full, makes Jungwon feel a bit more loved, so he smiles as he responds.
“It’s okay, hyung. Either way, I needed time to think about it on my own, before telling someone else.”
“So now you came to me because you’re ready?”
“Ready for what?” Jungwon croaks. His throat is suddenly dry at the thought of where this conversation is going.
“To confess? Isn’t that what you wanted advice on?” Jay questions. He looks so confused, which makes Jungwon almost feel bad for him.
“Confess? Why the hell would I confess, hyung?” Jungwon laughs bitterly. “I told you he has a type, and it’s definitely not me. I’d only get hurt, and I— I can’t handle Sunoo hating me.” His voice cracks a little at the end of his sentence, making Jay’s frown deepen.
“It’s okay Jungwon-ah, you don’t have to confess, not if you don’t want to. I only thought— No, nevermind. What kind of help did you want then?”
Jungwon groans exasperatedly. He definitely said that on purpose, knowing that Jungwon’s too curious to let it go. What a sneaky bastard.
“What I wanted was for you to help me get rid of my feelings for Sunoo-hyung,” Jungwon whined. “You know I get curious, hyung, so just finish your sentence. I can take it.”
“As I was saying,” Jay began. He talks with an obnoxiously large grin. God, he hates Jay so much. “I only thought that the best way to put these feelings past you is to get the possibilities out of your mind.”
“I already told you—”
“Just, hear me out for a second okay? The reason you’re always thinking of Sunoo is probably because you still have your little fantasies of being his Prince Charming, or you being the alpha to his omega, or whatever weird shit you’re into.”
“Park Jongseong. Get to the fucking point.” Jungwon growled.
“Okay, okay, relax. What I mean is that, you probably think about these scenarios where you guys date, which is what distracts you. If I had to guess, I’d say it’s because you never actually took your shot, so you could always have a bit of hope left in you.”
For once, Jay’s words hold some degree of truth to them. He does often think about being Sunoo’s, daydreaming about his love being reciprocated.
“Go on,” Jungwon grumbles, he hates it when Jay is right.
“Basically, to get over this, we need to destroy this hope of yours. Like, completely trample on it, obliterate it— you get the gist. And how do we do that?”
Jay holds his hand out like a mic, waiting for Jungwon to respond like they’re in a game show.
“Confess,” Jungwon drones, in the most monotone voice he could muster.
“Exactly! Worst case scenario, he rejects you, and we’ll get drunk to forget about it. He might even say yes, we don’t know. Either way, you’ll have an answer, and you’ll be forced to move past it at that point. It’s foolproof!” he exclaims excitedly.
“And how do you propose I confess?”
Jay’s expression shifts immediately, sensing that this is an important question. “Honestly, I can’t tell you that. These are your feelings that you’re going to be admitting, so you should do it in whatever way you think will put your mind at ease.”
A moment passes in pensive silence, until Jay speaks up again
“Actually, just make sure it isn’t a public confession. I think Sunoo would hate that, and Niki would never let you live it down.”
“God, that sounds horrific,” Jungwon says, shuddering slightly. “Someone needs to stop that menace, he’s getting out of control.”
They both laugh at that, and start to casually chat about new things in each other's lives. Trust Jay to always have something new to talk about, even when you see him 24/7 everyday.
Whilst catching up, a wave of peace and relief washes over him. This big huge problem that he thought he had was solved in one quick, but mortifying, conversation. And now he has a solution he could actively work towards.
All he has to do is confess, that’s not as scary as half the scenarios he came up with before. Maybe things aren’t so bad after all.
-------
Confessing is way too embarrassing, Jungwon thinks frustratedly, rolling over on his bed. It's incredibly humiliating, especially if he gets rejected like he thinks he will. Plus, any form of confessing, to Sunoo of all people, feels like too much and yet not good enough either.
A regular face-to-face confession was Jungwon’s first idea. He’d invite Sunoo to get dinner with him, trusting Jay to keep all the other members away. Then, he’d take Sunoo to a nice restaurant, not too fancy so he wouldn’t catch on early. After dinner, they’d take a walk, where Jungwon would buy him mint-chocolate ice cream. The walk would lead them to the Han River, where he’d finally confess to Sunoo.
It sounds perfect, and it seems private enough that he wouldn’t be publicly humiliated by Sunoo rejecting him. The only downside is that, knowing himself, he’d definitely chicken out of confessing. All it would take is one sentence, he can almost imagine Sunoo saying “Thank you, you’re such a good friend, Jungwon,” and he’d crumble, right there and then.
Yeah, definitely not face-to-face. He’s not strong enough to watch Sunoo as he listens to his confession anyways
A song was the second idea. It would be fitting, since they met because of their shared love of music. This one was quickly rejected after searching up ‘confession’ on tiktok. Too many people made videos about how serenading someone is extremely cringe. He wouldn’t risk giving Sunoo the ick, especially since his chances are already low.
His final decision was to write a letter. It’s a good mix of sweet, while also being vulnerable. Overall, it would be the most genuine way of bearing his heart to Sunoo, while also not being humiliated in real time. If Sunoo was going to laugh, at least he wouldn't have to see it.
Writing the letter itself would be the easiest part. God knows how many late night rants he has about Sunoo in his notes app. All he’d have to do is take the most poetic parts, clean it up a bit, and hand write it.
He could finish this quickly, maybe even in one night. Maybe even tonight, so he can just get this over with. Yeah, he thinks, I need this suffering to stop as soon as possible.
He stands up suddenly, and rushes to get a hoodie. He walks out of the dorms as casually as he could, as to not alert his members that he was doing something suspicious. Jungwon hears someone call out when he opens the door, but he just yells that he’ll be back soon and makes his escape.
He smiles to himself as he speedwalks down the street towards the nearest convenience store. Living with a group of guys means that your apartment never has any essentials, like paper or envelopes. If he’s going to get this done tonight, he needs to stock up.
His plan is: Wait for the guys to go to sleep, then start writing in the living room. Maybe add a bit of decorations, then hide it in the storage closet, somewhere he knows the members never go. Then he’ll sleep, and leave the envelope in Sunoo’s bag or on his bed.
It’s foolproof, and he’ll finally leave this burden behind. Even though his love was always a comfort to think of, unrequited feelings leave a heavy feeling on his heart. He could work towards a requited love now , he thinks bitterly.
Yeah, that's all he needs now. Just a swift rejection and he’ll be on his way. He wanted this after all.
--------
Surprisingly, everything’s normal.
Him and Sunoo are getting along, as per usual. Not one conversation feels out of place, or has any hidden meaning that he could pick up on. Which is strange.
It's been 5 days now. 5 days, 11 hours, and 42 minutes since he’d given Sunoo his letter.
And Jungwon knows for sure that Sunoo has it. He also knows for a fact that Sunoo has read it. He saw him look curiously at the letter from where it stood out on his bed. As soon as Sunoo took it out of the envelope, Jungwon quietly slipped away from the open sliver in the door and left the dorm to go visit his parents.
Knowing this, why is everything the same? Jungwon hasn't had a single conversation where Sunoo had even acknowledged the letter. And he definitely won’t be the one to bring it up, not when he poured his entire being into one tiny letter, one that's being ignored by the only person whose opinion he cares about.
He almost feels crazy, doubting that he actually wrote what he thought he did. Because if he really did write about how much he loved Sunoo, how could he be left hanging like this? It’s like the real life equivalent of being left on read.
Now he has to interact with Sunoo everyday and act like he didn’t just get his feelings trampled on. He was prepared for rejection but somehow this is beyond his wildest imaginations for how bad this could go. A rejection would hurt less than this sick limbo he’s been left in.
But what can he do now? If Sunoo didn’t want to respond, that was up to him. All Jungwon can do now is take it as a rejection and move on.
All that’s left to do is take Jay up on his offer to get wasted and forget this ever happened, Jungwon thinks dejectedly as he opens his phone. He doesn’t wanna sulk all day, especially when all the other members are out having fun.
Tonight will be the last time he’ll let himself feel sad about this, he decides. He’ll take Jay up on his offer to get wasted, and forget this ever happened. Yeah, this is foolproof, he thinks energetically, getting up to find Jay.
As he walks around the dorms, he remembers the members mentioning that they’d be going out today, since it’s one of their only days off. He rejected the offer, preferring to stay home and wallow in his bed But he’s done sulking on his precious day off. Yang Jungwon isn’t a baby, and he will enjoy his precious time home alone. Then, he’ll have fun drinking tonight with Jay, as long as he agrees.
He opens his phone to message Jay, ready to do whatever it takes to make him say yes.

Jungwon closes the app with a smile on his face. Jay’s always so considerate, even when he’s being snarky and annoying. He needs to tell Jay how much he appreciates him soon. He’d rather die than say that sober though. Maybe tonight he will, after he loses his mind one last time over Sunoo. I
Even though it shouldn’t sound fun, Jungwon finds himself looking forward to going out with Jay. He gets off the couch excitedly, and starts to prepare for his first night out in a while.
I’m gonna look so good when I’m done, he thinks mischievously.
