1)This is my first fic so please don’t put too much pressure on this! I love helpful feedback of course, but being mean in the comments is just awful. If you don’t like it that much than just click off the fic
2)I know this is a ship, but please don’t take it seriously. This is just for fun and is not an accurate representation of the characters in any way. I do not know these people or am trying to accurately represent them. This is simply to have fun and put familiar people/characters into fun settings and scenarios. I am not defining their relationships or sexualities in any way! They have the right to live their own lives without our knowledge of any personal aspects. Regardless, I support them as well as their happiness. Whatever their sexualities- straight, gay or anything in between- or relationships they take part in, it’s not anyone’s business and all I can say is that I hope they’re happy and living their best life in peace
3)I’m American. I know. I’m sorry. I’m disappointed too. And unfortunately the american education system is the only one I understand so there will be a quick overview below as well as a timeline of their lives within this book. I hope this makes it easier for anyone who may not be familiar with it. Also due to this I will not be using Korean honorifics. I don’t want to mess it up or cause anyone any disrespect, and I hope this is the right decision.
Timeline/Education:
Alright american education system here we go!
Elementary school= K-5
Middle School= 6-8
High School= 9-12
Kindergarten- this is the first year which kids enter typically when they are 5, or sometimes 6 depending on when they were born
1st grade- do not be fooled, this is actually the second year of mandatory schooling in the united states. Kids are 6 turning 7
2nd- 7→8
3rd- 8→9
…
12th- 17→18
After this students typically enter college/university, the workforce, or the military
The school year starts in either late august or early september, and typically ends in mid- june, sometimes earlier or in may depending on how early the school year starts. Colleges typically follow an august-may schedule. This generally means that Jisung/Felix/Seungmin will have their birthdays right at the beginning of the year
At the start of the novel:
Takes place in mid/late august
21 years old/4th year of uni- Felix, Seungmin, Jeongin, Jisung (jisung not in uni)
22 years old- Hyunjin, Minho (for plot purposes, minho is a year younger. deal with it). They are still in university as they are entering a graduate program
23 years old- Changbin, Chan→ due to the date at which this takes place, Changbin has just turned 23 and chan is also a year younger and almost 24
Also, something I almost forget, the freshman, sophomore, junior, senior thing we do.
9th grade=freshman
10th=sophomore
11th=junior
12th=senior
For colleges they also follow this as in first year is freshman, second year is sophomore and so on. Idk yet but I may unintentionally use these terms, if so, here’s a reference. Felix for example is about to enter his final year of university, meaning that he will be a university senior.
Also i use university/college interchangeably if you haven’t noticed already

Timeline based off Minho’s life:
Age 9, summer before 4th grade→ moves into neighborhood where jisung, seungmin and jeongin live, 1 year older than them
Age 14, sometime in 8th grade→4 years into knowing jisung, asks him out, they are now together. They totally started dating as awkward middle schoolers, but they knew each other and were best friends and totally vibing/mutually crushing beforehand so it wasn’t that awkward and they grew alongside each other well.
Age 18, sometime in 12th grade→Jisung disappears/moves away.
Age 22, summer after senior year of college→start of story, concert, jisung disappeared about 4.5/5 years ago and Minho hasn’t heard a thing

Here we go!
Chapter 1:
It was a beautiful day. Anticipation was in the air. So were the sounds of Back Door and a very giggly Felix.
“If I have to listen to this for the next hour in the car, it better not blow out my ears now!”
“Come on Seungminnie! Have a little fun! We know you enjoy it!”
“Yeah! Live a little!” Of course, the volume only increased.
This was an average day in the life of Seungmin. As lovely as they were, living with Hyunjin and Felix was not for the weak. Back on his very first day of university was when he met Felix and first began living with him in the dorms. Made of absolute sunshine, it didn’t take three days before Seungmin’s cold heart melted. Only four days later was when Felix introduced him to childhood friend and second year Hyunjin, who to everyone’s surprise was rooming with Minho, Seungmin’s friend since they were just 8 years old. Seungmin of course knew Minho was at the university; it was their plan since day one, and almost every day the past week they had met up somewhere on campus to chat or hang out. During introductions and the perfect icebreaker that was this perfect coincidence, bursted in a very angry Jeongin.
“I can’t do it, Minho! I can’t live with him! He’s insufferable! Please just… Felix? What are you doing here?”
All four of them turned to Jeongin who was standing in the doorway. “How do you know Felix?” asked Hyunjin.
“We met on the first day of Psych class the other day and went out for coffee just this morning. How do you know Felix?”
And thus formed the college friend group. It was only two years of Jeongin living with his horrid roommate before he finally convinced the group to move out. Jeongin and Minho together in one apartment and Seungmin with Hyunjin and Felix in a bigger one just a few floors down.
Of course it was around this time that new men had come into Felix and Hyunjin’s life. Three men to be exact. Just a few weeks before Moving Out Day, Hyunjin and Felix were chatting at a coffee shop before a song came on the speakers by the name of Domino. The rest is history.
And that’s the story of how Seungmin ended up here. Trying to do the dishes one last time while Hyunjin painted a very intricate design onto Felix’s eyelids just minutes before they planned to leave.
A knock on the door, some yelling, and the sound of what Seungmin prayed wasn’t a container of glitter being knocked to the floor, when Minho and Jeongin entered, looking admittedly very nice in their concert-wear.
A 3racha concert. That was today’s event. Hyunjin and Felix had been fanboying for over a year now, and when a tour was announced just a few months ago every last penny had been saved in anticipation for ticket sales to go online. With the promise of Felix’s birthday just a few weeks after their concert date, what better way to celebrate and kick off his final year of university than with a concert. A little extra help from Felix’s rich aunt as a birthday present plus a little luck and would you look at that!- seats just a few rows away from the stage!
The stadium was full of cheering and screaming! Only an hour until the act came on stage. Despite Seungmin’s apparent distaste for the band, he had to admit, he was growing increasingly excited with every second that passed. He may pretend to hate the music, but everyone knew, deep down, his whining and complaining was only to annoy Felix and Hyunjin. After a year of being subjected to their albums on loop, he determined that some of their music was enjoyable. In fact, some of it would be really good in concert. It wasn’t his go to music and the people in the band were unfamiliar to him, but it was Felix’s birthday and things were going to be awesome.
The same went for Minho. He was a little less familiar with the music. Sure he had heard a song here and there, but he didn’t live with Hyunjin and Felix like Seungmin did, so it was mostly a few familiar rhythms and the promise of a fantastic concert that got him excited. From what he could tell based on the signs fans were holding up, the members were Bang Chan, Changbin, and HAN- in all capital letters for whatever reason.
The lights went out. Hyunjin's screams pierced his ears. An opening instrumental played and 3 people began to rise from under the stage. Once they hit the top, a yell of “NE SONIM” from the crowd and the concert had begun.
Minho enjoyed himself for about 7 seconds. The one who started was rapping intensely and had insane muscles, but for whatever reason, Minho’s attention remained on the member who was on the other side of the stage. There was something almost familiar about him.
As the parts changed and he made his way to the front of the stage, Minho realized exactly why he was familiar. Sparkling eyes and a tattoo on his forearm that definitely wasn’t there a few years ago, this face was far too familiar to Minho.
Han. Freaking. Jisung.
