The Marvel of Ranma Saotome

Summary:

A powerful ritual to summon a mighty fighter that others would have little chance of facing, to help fight the heroes. Unfortunately, they didn't think about if the person in question was going to help them do that...or if they could even speak their language.

Ranma's not the biggest fan of magic since in most cases it got used against them. When it got used to summon Ranma to a new world, with fighters and people of very unique powers and capabilities that defy logic. So just another day of the same nonsense, just in a new place with new people.

Chapter 1

Notes:

I had this sitting in the back for a while. Let me know if you guys have anyone you wanna see who meets Ranma and what they might do.

Chapter Text

The room fell silent as the old book and small but ancient box was placed was place upon the stone pedestal. The two robed figures stepped aside while the one standing behind the pedestal smiled as they pulled the book open to a marked page.

"Are you sure this will work?"

The leader of the three robed figures turned and gave a smug grin to the computer screen, "It will work, this work is within the arts of my lineage. And not only that, but I have also the box. Within are a number of items for magic build up and amplification. Not enough to do this by themselves, but together with my powers and my fellow practitioners, we'll have your warrior."

The voice from the computer growled through the device, the voice warped, "One able to take on the heroes this world has to oppose us?"

"Indeed. Just give us the time to do the ritual and we'll have them ready for you. You gave us what we asked for so we shall give to you that you had asked for, we just need your patience since it'll take a few minutes with high concentration on it."

"Very well..."

The robed figure chuckled, before turning to the book, and held out their hands, the other two took hold and the three started chanting, the book and box started glowing, the ethereal language echoed and warped within the air as they spoke. the glowing of the items was joined by the glow of the air before them, growing brighter and brighter till it was a spot of pure blinding light. Then a surge passed through the room, making the shadows vanish, then it was gone, and there before them, stood a young men, wearing a red silk shirt, his hands frozen in the middle of braiding his hair, eyes looking around the room, before he let out a heavy sigh and released the braid, and then just tied it back in a ponytail.

The robed one stepped forward, "Greetings warrior, we've called you here to perform a task."

"Do any of you guys know Japanese?"

The robed ones shuffled in place, the leader tilted their head, "Huh...I did not expect that."

The computer's voice spoke, "What's going on?"

"The warrior...is speaking in another language..."

"...SERIOSLY!?!?!"

"Yeah...that's never happened before...but then again I've usually summoned demons, spirits, but this is the first I've done a human."

"JUST...make it work please..."

"Right..."

The young man was tapping his foot impatiently, looking at them with a raised eyebrow, when one turned to the leader, "I have a spell...blood based...used to allow one to talk to the ancients' races who can't speak anything other than the ancient tongue. I think it could work in translating whatever this language is."

"Alright...let's try that."

Nodding the figure pulled out a blade-

POW!!!

The figure's face had been replaced by a fist, as their body was placed into the wall, and the young warrior had blurred across the space, they didn't even have time to blink, and for a moment, they just stared at him, before he turned to them, gaze laced in intent. Suddenly...darkness.

Ranma stood in the street of the building he had just walked out of. Getting summoned and it looked like they did it for ritual sacrifice...kind of reminded him of the time Pops unknowingly traded him to a cult for lunch.

Letting out a sigh, Ranma looked around...English looking words on every surface...strange-ish clothes...probably America. At least if anything he knew from those movies were right...but then again...ah heck if he knew. But wherever he was, it wasn't Japan and they didn't speak the language he spoke.

Maybe he could find his way back to Japan, he's just needed to find his way to an airport and sneak into the next plane to Japan and make his way back to Nerima. Though doing it down here wasn't going to do him any good. Heading into an alley, he walked up to the wall and jumped up at it, then jumped off it then jumped off the opposing walls, back and forth till he was on the roofs. He walked casually, then jumping from the roof's ledge to the next one as he went.

He honestly had no idea where this would lead, but it was better than nothing...though he might want to find something to eat soon, they pulled him away before he could eat breakfast...actually why was it morning out here as well?

Ehh...it was magic. Magic didn't make sense half the time...or most the time...magic was nonsense most of time.

With a shrug he kept going.

Here...this was the place where Dr. Stange felt the magic surge coming from. He found these three robed ones, summoners, all knocked out, and imbedded into the walls. One of them was next to a knocked over table with a broken computer that had fallen off of it, while there was a nearby pedestal knocked over with a box and book emanating residual energy from the summoning.

Leaning down, he picked up the book, opening it to the marked page, finding one...for summoning a warrior. He chuckled as he compared it to the other pages. All the other pages were specific to beasts of malicious intents, servants willing to do the bidding of those who summon them, others who would do anything you traded your soul or something else. But this one, it was just the process of summoning someone who was a strong fighter, and nothing more. Looks like whoever they summoned wasn't ready for whoever it was that they got.

He looked over at the computer. It was odd to have something like this in the room for a summoning...since magic didn't require it, so it must've had another purpose. He'd call Spider-Man over to take a look and see if he could piece together what it was doing here. The young man was a wiz with science...in the figurative sense of course.

Hopefully he wasn't to busy.

"STAY STILL YOU INSUFFRABLE INSECT!!!"

"Why is it they always say insect? I'm clearly an arachnid...hang on a moment."

Peter turned his attention away from the thug with the bat, and dodged it effortlessly as he answered the call coming in through the suit's HUD system, "Hello?"

"Spider-Man, it's Dr. Strange."

"Strange, hey! How's it swinging?"

"I got little something here I need your hand with. Someone did a summoning ritual but there's a broken computer here. I'm handling the summoners, but I would like someone to take a look at this computer. It's broken but it doesn't look terrible, so I was wondering if you could do something with it and see if you can find something."

"Sure, let me just wrap up this thug here, I'll grab my stuff and then I'll head your way. Shoot me the address and I'll be there soon."

"Thank you."

"Not a problem, anyways...later!"

Call ending, he pointed his arm at the legs of the thug and shot a mesh of webs over his legs, sticking him to the ground before jumping up swinging off, building up momentum, swinging as he made his way towards his place-

BOOM!

He hit something and he was going down in a tangle with whatever he had collided with and rolled across the nearby roof. Coming to a stop, he...and the person he hit peeled themselves out of their tangle, the guy...eighteen maybe, so his age...was up on his feet, and was looking him over...giving him one seriously confused look.

"The hell are you supposed to be?"

Peter blinked...that sounded like Japanese...probably was, he was Asian from what he could tell. getting up himself, Spider-Man spoke, "Do you know English?"

He apparently did not, as he started to go off on a tangent, words spewing off in Japanese while he threw his arms into the air and waved them around, turning and facing away from Spider-Man, his tangent lasting a good minute before he let out a heavy sigh and dropped his arms and sloped his posture, groaning a bit, before righting himself again, and turned to him, opening his mouth like he wanted to say something, then stopped, and closed his mouth and his eyes shut as he tried to think of how to say what he wanted in a way that he could express despite the language barrier.

Finally, the guy just shrugged and turned, walking towards the edge of the building, then jumping across the gap to the other one over. Spider-Man blinked at the sight behind his mask...caught off guard a little...but it didn't seem like he was up to trouble...and he wasn't the only one who traveled across roofs...

Shrugging, he turned and headed his own way. The sooner he could get his stuff the sooner he could head to Dr. Strange.

Odd guy dressed in odd suit now past, Ranma worked on jumping roofs, trying to find himself someway elsewhere that could lead to a way back to Japan.

"Hey Doc, I hope I'm on time, rescheduling an appointment is always a hassle."

"Spider-Man, good to see you again. Sorry to skip the banter but I'd prefer to have the computer analyzed first."

"Alright, what we looking at?"

Dr. Strange guestured to the computer, and Peter moved closer, examining the pieces.

"Good news, the internal pieces survived, the casing just broke open. Just gotta reconnect a few things then we can access the data."

"Alright, when you do, look at what's there to see if you can figure out what happened here."

Spider-Man looked around the banged up room and the equally banged up people in robes in the corner, secured by chains of magic energy, "You mean you didn't do this?"

"Please, I'm not this wreck less. I came to investigate a strong magic presence and found this place and these three in the walls."

The arachnid powered hero looked at the human shaped dents in the walls, "...no kidding."

"What I believe happened, they tried to summon a warrior who was strong, but didn't summon one who would be willing to listen to them, so they got taken out by their own summon."

"So basically they're bad guys who wanted a bad guy, but instead summoned a good guy, who kicked their butts?"

"Yes, that's what I believe happened."

"Karma at it's finest."

The magic man nodded, and for the next few minutes they were silent, till Spider-Man Stepped back, "Alright, good to go! We can look at everything that's on the computer on my laptop here."

He started going through the data.

"Now let's see here...huh, evil magic people using face time. I did not expect that. It looks like they were on a call with someone before the computer took a fall. Let's see what they were up too."

After a minute, they watched as the recording of the call started. One half was the room they were in, but less damaged, while the other half was just a default icon for whoever was being called.

They took in the information, with the other person apparently wanting someone who could fight heroes for them, but they watched as the summoning took place...

"Hey...that's the guy I bumped into on the roofs."

The doctor raised an eyebrow to him with surprise, but they quickly turned their attention to the conversation on screen when the summoned person started speaking something they didn't understand. Then they watched as the summoned guy moved when one of them pulled out a knife. It had been a blur that the computer could barely keep up with, before he started to go after the other two...and then they watched the part where they one who had been the apparent leader got thrown, and knocked over the computer, which lead to the end of the recording.

After a moment of silence, Dr. Strange turned to Spider-Man, "So ran into him?"

"Yeah. Nothing bad from what I could tell, just seemed lost, plus my Spider-Sense didn't go off when we actually collided, so I think he's good in the regards that he's not bad in any way we would have to worry about."

"Well that's good to know, but you said you bumped into him on the roofs. That didn't come across as odd?"

"He wasn't attacking me, I figured it was all good and that he was just some kind of Parkourist."

"Alright...do you think you could find him again?"

"Maybe, let me go see what I can do."
