Work Text:
After weeks of nagging, poking, prodding, begging, and over all annoying behavior, you’d finally agreed to go camping with your best friend Minho and his dumb group of friends. “I swear to god Minho, if I so much as get bit by a single ant or mosquito—”
“I swear I will brutally murder any insect that so much as looks at you.” He put his hand over his heart as he smirked at you across the table. He’d made dinner to butter you up, clearly knowing his amazing cooking was a great way to get you in a good mood.
“And I don’t do sleeping on the floor or in a hot tent.”
“The rooms have beds with mattresses. And fans, their own bathrooms and showers, a separate kitchen area with a fridge and sink and everything. Plus it’s almost fall, and the weather is supposed to be fantastic. Warm during the day and cool at night.” He continued to plead his case.
You pushed the last piece of the incredible Beef Wellington he’d made around your plate. You couldn’t possibly eat another bite. “I’m not cooking or eating any weird animals or fish caught in the woods.”
“It’s a modern campsite Noona, no one is fishing for dinner. We’re grilling meat and making ramen and shit.” He said, and before you could open your mouth again, he added. “And the rooms have WiFi and TV’s. It’s basically a hotel. Except it’s a big fancy tent on nice campgrounds.”
Your eyes narrowed at him over your plate. “I’m not paying for anything.”
“Deal.” Minho readily agreed.
You finally sighed, setting down your fork and crossing your arms across your chest. “Fine.”
He finally smirked and took the last sip of his coke zero. “You’re going to have so much fun, I swear.”
“Tell me again why we’re celebrating your birthday almost a whole month early?”
“I told you, I have a bunch of shit going on in the middle of October, I won’t have time to take a whole four day weekend off then.”
You contemplated this and watched him start to pick up the dishes. “Wait, which of your dumb friends are going?”
He chuckled as he set the plates in the sink. “Jisung, Jeongin, Seungmin, Hyunjin, Felix, Changbin, and Chan hyung.”
“The whole gang, huh?”
“Yep. Everyone I care about is gonna be there. Which is why I want you to come too.” He didn’t look at you as he spoke, busying himself with dishes. Minho wasn’t too good at expressing his emotions verbally, which is why you were surprised he’d said this at all.
Huh. This must be really important to him. You decided to stop complaining then and be nice. “Wait, am I going to be the only girl there?”
He paused, this thought hadn’t occurred to him at all. “I guess you are, yeah. I didn’t really think about that…”
“It’s okay. I can handle eight attractive Korean men for four days all by myself.”
You hadn’t meant this in a dirty-orgy way, but Minho quickly looked at you over his shoulder with a smirk. “Oh, you can, can you?”
“Shut up, I didn’t mean it like that…” You blushed as you got up to start helping him clean.
“Uh uh, you sit back down, I’m cleaning up.” Minho shoved your shoulder lightly, and you set the dishes down you'd grabbed and obediently went back to the table to sit down and watch him instead. Definitely not staring at his back muscles or his forearms as he worked. “Also, the camping weekend is for you to relax too okay? It’s gonna be a great time to destress from our crazy lives.”
* * * * *
Minho showed his love by acts of service: cooking for you, cleaning up, fixing your glasses on your nose, carrying your bags. All without saying a single word. You’d been friends for a long time, and it took you a while to realize that even though he didn’t really say it, he cared about you a lot. He wasn’t a physical person. Meaning, he didn’t touch you too much. The occasional hand on a shoulder, pat on your back, or side hug was about it. This was hard for you at first, since you expressed your love for your friends through physical touch and words of affection. The two love languages Minho used the least. But it was fine now, years into your friendship, you’d adapted to each other.
The weekend to go camping came way too soon. You were in the middle of packing your bag when there was a knock on your apartment door. Ugh. He’s early. You walked to the front door and looked through the peephole. There were several incredibly good looking men outside your door, including Minho.
“Noona, open up!” Minho called, banging on the door again.
You heaved a heavy sigh before finally unlocking the deadbolt and opening the door. “You’re early.”
“Are you ready to go?” Minho asked, walking past you without an invitation into the apartment.
“Hi to you too, Minho.” You said to his disappearing back, rolling your eyes before turning around to the other men standing outside your door. “Hey guys, come on in.”
Minho had Changbin, Jisung, and Jeongin with him. They each gave you a hug as they came inside, Changbin’s arms squeezing you particularly tightly, and lingered on your waist after he’d pulled away. “It’s been too long, Noona.”
“Binnie, I saw all of you on your birthday last month.”
“God, was that just a month ago? Feels like ages.” Changbin commented, exaggerating as usual. You chuckled as he released you and went inside, Jisung and Jeongin giving you friendly hugs as well. You locked the door once everyone was inside.
“Where are the others?” You asked Jisung, who was yawning as he made himself at home on your sofa. It was before 10am, so the little Han quokka was awake much earlier than usual.
“Mmm Chan hyung is driving the other car. They’re meeting us there.’ Jisung said, his voice still deep with sleep.
“It’s just the five of us in Minho hyung’s car.” Jeongin added, plopping down next to Jisung and looking equally sleepy. You bet they’d both be asleep in 3 minutes on your couch.
You nodded and turned to talk to Changbin, but he had disappeared down your hallway after Minho, both of them now in your bedroom. Jesus. They act like they live here.
“Noona, you’re still not done packing?!” Minho called angrily as you headed down the hall, finding them both standing in your bedroom. “We need to go!”
“Hey, calm down. I’m almost done. Besides, you’re twenty minutes early, so you can’t expect me to be ready to walk out the door.” You walked over to your suitcase, trying to remember what you still had yet to grab.
“What do you have left to pack?” Minho plopped down on the end of your bed, while Changbin wandered around the room, looking at your various decorations and posters and basically touching all your possessions.
“Lemme check.” You pulled out your phone and pulled up the list Minho had sent you with everything you’d need. “Looks like I got everything except…oh a bathing suit.”
You walked over to your dresser and pulled open the drawer that contained your swimsuits. You were about to be camping with eight men, so you thought your choice of swimsuit was very important. Did you want to cover up a lot? Or should you show off a little bit of skin? What would they think? Would any of them even want to see your plus-size body exposed? Probably not. They were all hot and ripped, no way they wanted to see you in some skimpy bikini that showed off your rolls and fat.
“What kind of water activities are we doing?” You asked Minho without turning around, trying to decide on what kind of style you wanted.
“Nothing too crazy. There’s a river near the campsite, and I think they mentioned a rope swing or something.”
“Gotcha.” You said, deciding it was probably best to wear something conservative, when you noticed Changbin coming over to stand beside you at the drawer.
“Need help picking something?” Changbin asked, raising an eyebrow at you. Before you could answer him, he was reaching into your drawer and picking up a pair of thong style bikini bottoms. “I think these are a good choice. What do you say hyung?”
“Changbin, come on!” You said, snatching the bottoms from him while glancing nervously at Minho. He had a stony expression as he coldly looked from the bottoms down to his crossed ankles as he ignored Changbin. You felt your heart twinge at his obvious disgust at the idea of seeing you in a bikini. You shoved the bottoms back into the drawer, your face hot. “No one wants to see me in those.”
Changbin was quick to protest, making you blush further. “Um, I beg to differ!” He yelled, reaching for another skimpy suit. “Come on, we have time for a little fashion show, try this one on real quick?”
You wrestled the clothes back out of his hands and started to shove him out your door. “Go wait in the living room with the others!”
“What? Oh come on, just try on one? No?” He was giggling as you finally pushed him out of your room and shut the door in his face. You were burning up with embarrassment but also…a little bit of flattery.
You heaved another sigh before turning around and seeing Minho eyeing your door with contempt. You took this to mean he was upset you were taking too long. “S-Sorry Minho. I’ll grab one quickly and then we can leave.”
Minho got up off your bed then with a huff and went to your open drawer, digging through the suits. He’d seen you in one or two of them before, and he picked up a light blue conservative one piece suit he recognized, along with some swim shorts and tossed them in your bag. “Are we good now?”
You nodded, intimidated by his attitude. You hated when he got like this, clearly angry with you for delaying his trip. “Yeah, I’m ready.”
“Great.” He zipped up your bag and then finally gave you a small smile, making you feel immensely better. “Let’s hit the road.”
Minho led the way out of your room carrying your duffle bag and you grabbed your purse and keys, following behind him. “Come on boys, let’s go.” You said, poking the two youngest who were asleep as you’d predicted.
Changbin walked over to you and winked and you punched him in the arm. “Ow! What was that for?”
You didn’t reply, instead opening your front door for them all to file out. Minho went first, then Changbin, followed by the sleepy Jisung and Jeongin. As you were locking the door, you heard Changbin cry out again.
“Ow! Hyung, why did you punch me?”
“You’re sitting in the backseat.” Was all Minho replied, heading down the hallway. Changbin’s protests could be heard throughout the entire building, you were sure.
* * * * *
The drive to the campsite was relatively quiet. Changbin, Jisung, and Jeongin occupied the backseat, and despite Changbin’s initial protests, he was asleep along with the other two within twenty minutes. That left just you and Minho awake in the front seat for the next two hours. You chatted a little, but mostly sang along to Minho’s playlists, which contained a lot of anime openings. It was a very pleasant drive. Your car arrived at the destination before the others, and you all carried your bags and supplies up a trail to a row of giant walk-in tents.
“We have these five in a row here. Noona, you get your own tent, the rest of us are sharing.” Minho said, pointing out the tents.
“My own tent?” You asked, surprised. You’d assumed you’d be staying with Minho…
“Yeah, I figured you’d want the privacy.” Minho said, giving you a warm smile.
“Thank you.” You returned his smile, hiding your disappointment. What he’d done was very thoughtful and proper. But you’d been secretly hoping you’d get to share some space with him. To maybe even share a bed and get to cuddle with him for the first time. You craved his physical affection so badly, but you never stepped over that line because you didn’t want to make him uncomfortable. But it was okay really, you knew he didn’t like physical affection too much, so in the end you couldn’t really be upset. It was okay, now you didn’t have to worry about privacy, like Minho had said.
You walked into the open mouth of your tent and gasped. Minho hadn’t been exaggerating. The first section of the tent was at least ten feet tall and 100 square feet wide. It had a counter with cabinets, a microwave and refrigerator on the left, along with a full size sink. On the right side was a small table with 2 chairs, plus a drying rack for clothes and a standing lamp. This ‘room’ was sectioned off from another one further in by a zipper, and you opened it and stepped inside with your bag. It was just as big as the first room, and had a full size bed off to the left side. You walked in and dropped your bag on the mattress, taking in the tv stand and flatscreen across from the bed, complete with a karaoke remote & mic as well. What the fuck Minho. This wasn’t camping at all? This was nicer then some hotel rooms you’d stayed in before. You found another door in the back right corner that led to a small but very clean restroom witch included a toilet, shower, and sink with a mirror. Your mood rose rapidly as you realized this wasn’t going to be ‘true camping’ after all.
You were taking one last look around the room when you heard commotion outside. Ah, the rest of the boys are here. You stuck your head back out of the tent, and made your way out onto the gravel outside the entrance, watching as Chan, Hyunjin, Felix, and Seungmin walked up the path, their arms full of bags.
“We stopped for groceries like you asked.” Chan called, coming up on Minho who was walking out of his and Jisung’s tent, next to yours.
“Thanks hyung.” Minho gestured for him to start dropping the bags in front of his tent at the tables that were spread out, with chairs and fire pits interspaced as well. The set up was just as nice as Minho had promised.
Chan dropped his bags and then spotted you, stepping out of your tent. “(Y/n)!”
He gave you a big smile before coming over to give you a big bear hug. “Hey Channie.”
“I’m so glad you’re here!” He patted your head affectionately and you giggled. Chan always made you feel so welcome. He was the opposite of Minho in a lot of ways, and you considered him a close friend too. Even if Minho was the one who introduced you.
“Me too. I’m seeing the sheer amount of alcohol y’all brought and my mood is steadily rising.”
Chan laughed. “It’s not a Minho Camping Trip unless we’re all drunk in the woods.”
You shook your head. “Well, this is my first. Y’all have to show me the ropes.”
Suddenly Changbin materialized in front of you two, carrying an excessive amount of bags and making sure to show off his huge biceps bulging out of his tank top as he set the bags down across from where you and Chan were standing. “I’ll be happy to guide you through the weekend, Noona.” Changbin said, shooting you a raised eyebrow and not-so-subtly flexing his muscles.
You rolled your eyes but felt your cheeks flush. “Changbin, you’re insatiable.”
“Bro, seriously?” Chan was laughing, holding this stomach at how blatant Changbin was being.
“What? Why are you laughing?” Changbin walked up to Chan with his arms open as you shook your head, heading off in the direction of the car to help with the groceries.
Changbin was such a major flirt. You found him insanely attractive, but you kept your distance from him. You didn’t want to give Minho any reason to think you were interested in his big bulky friend. Why? Because, you were head over heals for your cat loving best friend, that’s why. It was the typical, you’d-known-him-for-years-and-fell-for-him-a-long-time-ago type situation. But also, Minho showed no signs whatsoever of being attracted to you. Which could be soul crushing at times, like back at your apartment, but you tried your best not to focus on the fact that your love was most definitely one sided. You didn’t want to dwell on that this weekend. This weekend was to celebrate Minho’s birthday, and you wanted him to have a great time and be happy.
“What are you doing?” Minho startled you out of your thoughts as he came up behind where you were pulling groceries out of the back of Chan’s car.
“I’m helping with the bags?” You replied, surprised by his scowl.
“Noona, there are ‘eight attractive Korean men’ here, as you put it, who can easily handle the manual labor. I told you, this weekend you’re not lifting a finger. It’s about relaxation and de-stressing.”
“I thought it was about celebrating your birthday?”
“Exactly. That’s how I want to celebrate. Now give me those.” He took the bags. “Why don’t you go put on your bathing suit. After we put the food away we’re packing lunches and going to the river.”
* * * * *
The picnic area on the little riverbank was perfect. There was a table and a place to eat, and they’d all brought chairs as well, so everyone had a seat. The bank led into the water in a safe and easily maneuverable way, not too rocky or slippery. The water was cool and the sun was hot, a perfect combination. And the rope swing Minho had mentioned was just off to the left, swaying in the breeze, attached to a huge tree with big roots that cropped up all around.
“Who wants a drink?” Hyunjin called, standing over the cooler.
“Beer please!” You called to him from your chair by the riverbank.
“Me too!” Felix added. He was laying on a picnic blanket halfway between you and the table.
“Oh same.” Seungmin called from his seat on the picnic bench next to Jeongin.
“I’ll take a coke.” Jeongin said, snacking on a bag of chips.
“Guys, I only have two hands.” Hyunjin complained.
“You’re the one who offered.” Seungmin pointed out, and Hyunjin sighed. It took him three trips to hand out all the drinks that had been ordered.
You were sitting in a tanning chair on the bank of the river, admiring the views around you. The trees and water were absolutely beautiful…but that wasn’t what you couldn’t take your eyes off of.
All eight of the young men around you were shirtless and in varying length of swim shorts. It was like you’d died and gone to heaven! Every single one of them had a body type that drove you up the wall, and though they all varied widely, each had a feature you found incredibly attractive.
Felix was small but his body was all muscle, while Hyunjin was tall and lanky though his arms were surprisingly ripped. Jeongin’s collar bones were driving you insane, and Jisung had a shoulder to waist ration that seemed illegal. Seungmin wasn’t ripped, but he was smooth and lean, his skin looking amazing in the sunlight.
Chan and Changbin were literally making your mouth water. Chan had a broad back and washboard abs, his arms impeccably well toned. Changbin was a fucking beast. His back, arms, chest, and thighs were out of this world big. And your favorite thing about Changbin was his tiny tummy, which the others teased him for, but you absolutely loved. The fact that he was so muscular and fit but still had a little belly made him so hot.
But Minho…you couldn’t keep your eyes off him. He was the tannest among all of them, his skin glowing a beautiful honey in the afternoon sun. His black hair was blowing off his forehead as he stood only knee deep in the river, hands on his hips and eyeing the scene. His shoulders were wide, and you could see the results of his frequent workouts, obviously paying off. Especially in his chest. His pecs had truly grown, and you wanted to feel him up embarrassingly badly. His arms flexed as he stood there, drawing your notice to how thick they had become, and his stomach was as flat and toned as ever. But what really got you were his thighs. Minho’s swim shorts were tighter, clinging to his mid thigh, showing off just how big, round, and bulging the quads were. Jesus, he was attractive.
The only negative thing about the scene around you was that all these incredibly attractive and in-shape men were making you feel very insecure. In fact, you were still wearing your t-shirt and shorts over your suit, afraid to strip down to just your one piece. Even if it was conservative, you couldn’t hide your stomach, thighs, or butt in a bathing suit. So far, you’d managed to avoid getting in the water, even though you truly wanted to get in, cool off, and swim. Maybe even swing from that rope attached to the tree…
“NOONA! COME GET IN THE WATER!” Chan suddenly called to you from the middle of the river. He was chest deep, and Minho had been eyeing him with apprehension as he himself stayed in the shallow part. Minho of course couldn’t swim, and Chan was once on track to qualify for the olympic team, if you remembered correctly. Again, complete opposites.
“Uh, I’m good!” You called back, eyeing the water. God it looked nice.
Minho turned his gaze on you in surprise. You never missed a chance to swim. “(Y/n), come on!” He frowned. You shook your head at Minho before looking down at the half empty beer in your lap. You wished you could get the fuck over this stupid feeling.
Before you knew what was happening, a very wet and shiny Changbin was splashing through the water up the bank towards you with a mischievous smile on his face. The others were watching you with anticipation. “Am I gonna have to throw you in?”
You guffawed, rolling your eyes at him. “Changbin, come on. We both know you won’t do it. You can’t carry me, anyway.”
That was the absolute wrong thing to say to him. Before you could register what he was doing, Changbin had reached down and scooped you up bridal style. You yelped and clung to his neck instinctively as hoots and hollers echoed from the guys around you.
“Oh shit, she’s going in!” Felix shouted, watching with wide eyes.
“CHANGBIN PUT ME DOWN!” You cried, eyes going wide at how easily he was carrying you towards the water.
“No way!” Changbin gripped you tight under the knees and back as he giggled hysterically, starting to jog a little.
“Dunk her! Dunk her! Dunk her!” Jisung, who was floating around in a tube, began to chant, and then all of them joined in together. “DUNK HER! DUNK HER! DUNK HER!”
Changbin splashed into the water and just before he could dunk you in, clothes and all, you locked eyes with Minho. He was chanting with the others, but you saw something else lingering in his expression. Something that almost, maybe, looked like jealousy…but then you were being released and splashing down into the river.
It was cold but incredibly refreshing, and when you popped up to clapping and cheering, you were smiling ear to ear. Changbin had stayed right next to you, probably to make sure you actually came back up okay, and when he saw you smiling he relaxed and began to laugh again.
However, he wasn’t ready for you suddenly jumping on top of him and dragging him down into the water too. When you both came up again he was smiling even wider, and you engaged in a splash war for a bit before Changbin managed to grab your wrists and halt your assault. “Okay okay! You’re drowning me. Truce?” He asked, water dripping down his face, his hair sticking to his forehead. You imagined you looked similarly disheveled.
You were huffing with effort, so you conceded. “Truce.” Changbin released your wrists and you took a few breaths, looking down at your now soaked clothes over your suit. “Shit Binnie, you got my clothes all wet.”
“I guess you’ll have to take them off then.” Changbin winked. You blushed, but not before splashing him heavily again. “Okay shit, sorry!” Changbin put his hands up in surrender. But then he said, softer so no one else could hear, “But seriously, you don’t need to cover up or anything around us. We’re all your friends here.”
Somehow Changbin had known you’d been feeling insecure. Maybe it was because he himself often got teased by the others, and he recognized your attitude. Whatever the reason, you were grateful. “Um…thanks Binnie.”
Changbin gave you his big goofy smile and nodded. “Anytime babe.”
He ruined it, and you sighed heavily before splashing him again. This time he simply swam away from you, giggling. You shook your head, looking down at your clothes in the water. Oh well. You carefully managed to slip your shorts off underwater, then reached for the hem of your t-shirt. You struggled to pull it over your head, but once you finally did, you turned towards the shore to toss your clothes at the chair, only to lock eyes with Minho again. His expression was completely blank, but his eyes were clearly staring at your body. Then his gaze flicked up to your face before he promptly turned around and headed up the bank and out of the water.
You heaved a sigh before chucking your wet clothes in the direction of your chair. Why was he being so…Minho? Was he upset you weren’t showing more enthusiasm? Or that you were talking to his friends more than him? Or maybe…he didn’t want to see you so scantily clad. He’d also been weird this morning, when you’d been trying to pick a bathing suit. He must’ve been uncomfortable with you showing so much skin. But then, why had he invited you to go swimming with everyone at the river? Had he expected you to keep your clothes on the whole time?
Your spiraling thoughts were interrupted as Hyunjin, Felix, Seungmin, and Jeongin finally got into the water, Seungmin holding a water ball. “Noona, want to play volleyball with us?”
You watched as they waded over, Jisung also hopping out of his tube and joining as well. “Who all is playing?”
“I’m in!” Chan called eagerly, swimming up behind you. He’d been doing laps back and forth across the water for fun.
“I’m on (Y/n)’s team.” Changbin volunteered.
“I haven’t even said I’d play yet!”
“Aw come on, Minho is out, something about calling his mom.” Felix said, taking the ball from Seungmin. “So we need you to make it even.”
“Yeah, it’ll be fun!” Jeongin added with his signature fox smile.
You looked around at all of them, nodding and smiling at you with encouragement.
“Okay, but only if Changbin is not on my team.” You nodded.
“Hey!” His cry of protest echoed across the water.
* * * * *
The afternoon was incredibly fun. You played water volleyball with the guys, your team (Hyunjin, Chan, and Felix) beat Seungmin’s (Changbin, Jeongin, and Jisung) in a close set of 3-2. After the first game Minho made it back to the water and decided to referee, having somehow acquired a whistle while he was back at the tents talking to his mom. He also returned with an extra bucket hat in tow, securing it onto your wet hair without a word, only a small smile. You must’ve been getting a little too much sun on your face. This gesture reassured you, and you felt free to have fun the rest of the game.
The sun was finally starting to set as the final match came to a close, and once it was over and the winning team had taken turns dunking the losers (you dunked Changbin), it was agreed you all should pack up, wash up, and then get started on grilling meat and preparing dinner.
You walked up the path back to the tents alongside Minho, the rest of the boys a little ways ahead of you. “How is your mom?” You asked him.
“Oh, she’s fine. She wanted to FaceTime to show me the new hats she bought the cats.” He eagerly pulled out his phone and pulled up the picture. “They all have matching bunny ears now.”
“Oh my god, they’re so cute!” You squealed looking at the picture of his three cats all sitting together with their little hats. “God, Doongi does not look amused!”
Minho smiled wide as he flipped to the next slide, which was a video of Doongi angrily whacking his head and kicking the bunny ears off. “He absolutely hated it!”
You both laughed heartily as you made it back to the tents. You stopped at the table in front of yours, laying out your wet towel and ruined clothes. Minho lingered there a moment, and unknown to you, his eyes were only focused on your suit-clad body. You finished fiddling with your wet clothes before turning to him. “Um, I’m gonna shower and change before dinner.”
“I’m gonna wash up too.” Minho said, betraying nothing of where his eyes had been moments before. You nodded, taking off his bucket hat and offering it back to him. He shook his head. “Oh, you hang onto it. You’ll probably need it again before the trip is over.”
“Thanks Minnie.” You said playfully, setting the hat next to your wet clothes.
“Oh god, not Minnie again.” He groaned, but he was still smirking as he turned towards his tent. “I’m not a Disney Mouse.”
You laughed as he slipped into his tent, your eyes trained on where his still glistening wet chest had been moments before. Oh, you were hopeless.
You looked down the row and watched as Hyunjin and Felix also walked into their shared tent, probably to wash up as well. Jeongin and Seungmin were opening fresh beers and starting to fiddle with their fire pit, while Chan and Changbin snacked on chips as they stood half naked at their own tent, looking over at the younger kids fondly. Jisung popped out then, drying his hair with a towel as he stood at the opening of their tent where Minho had disappeared moments before.
“Hey Noona.” He greeted you happily.
“Hi Jisung.” A thought crossed your mind as you turned to him. “How many bed’s are in your tent?” You asked him.
“Uh, just the one, full sized I think.” Jisung gestured over his shoulder.
“Wah, well good luck with Minho!” You laughed. “He’ll probably kick you off at some point, you know how he hates getting too close.”
“Huh?” Your words made Jisung frown in confusion. “What do you mean?”
“Oh, nothing, just that…you know, he hates physical affection.” You shrugged, confused by Jisung’s expression. “Not really a cuddler.”
“Really?” Jisung’s bottom lip stuck out in a pout. “He’s usually all over me when we share a bed…” He saw your expression and quickly clarified. “Not like that, just…you know, in a bro kinda way.” Jisung coughed before adding. “Normal friend cuddling.”
You felt a strange tightness in your chest. “Oh…” There was quite an awkward moment while you tried to take in his words and he didn’t know what to say. “Well, um, I better go wash up…”
“Yeah, uh, okay.” Jisung clumsily waved at you as you turned to go inside your tent.
You half stumbled through your room and were completely zoned out during your shower, thinking about what Jisung had said. What did he mean, Minho was all over him? The Minho you knew was so anti-cuddling, it was almost comical. All the movie nights, anime marathons, and even sleep over’s you’d had, Minho had never cuddled up to you, let alone shared a bed. And you’d never thought anything of it, because you thought that was just the way he was. But Jisung had just said that he couldn’t keep Minho off of him. What did that say about you? Come to think if it, you had seen a few of the boys hugging and messing with Minho today, and he’d even seemed to begrudgingly let it happen.
You’d spent time with Minho’s friends before, but never overnight or with all of them at once, like right now. Was he a different person around you than with them? You really hoped not, but you had noticed his attitude and demeanor had changed today. Ever since this morning in your room with Changbin, Minho had been out of sorts. And you were starting to think it was your fault. The look on his face this morning when Changbin had suggested you try on bikinis. The way his eyes bored into you while Changbin had you in his arms in the river. HIs eyes had seemed intense, and his face a stony mask. Clearly both things had upset him, and it could only be because…well, because…the thought of your skin being exposed, and his friend touching you disgusted him.
There had been women in Minho’s life, although not many and not for long periods of time, but women none the less. And the few girls you’d seen him with had all had one thing in common: they were tiny, flat, and curve-less. So his type was clearly the opposite of you. Which was fine, whatever, you’d never taken offense to that because until today, he’d never made you feel uncomfortable or insecure about your size. But why was he suddenly seeming to have a problem with it?
Your mood steadily got worse the longer you lingered on your insecurities. You were usually pretty neutral with your body image, having good days and bad days like everyone. Sometimes you even felt sexy, when you had on the right clothes or when someone (like Changbin) complimented you or flirted confidently. Changbin clearly didn’t have a problem with the way you looked. Honestly, none of Minho’s friends seemed to, all of them being their usual and cheery selves today, except for Minho. Why was he acting like this?
Originally you hadn’t wanted to say anything or provoke his mood since this weekend was supposed to be about him, but now, looking into the mirror at your pitiful expression, you definitely thought you were the one suffering. You know what? Fuck it. You hated when Minho got like this. Stony and weird. He could never fucking communicate. Whatever. You were not going to let his weird mood ruin your weekend. Hadn’t he himself said you were supposed to be relaxing and enjoying yourself?
With a determined brow, you dried your hair and put on the sexiest outfit you’d packed: a light pink romper with a cute cherry pattern. It was actually quite flattering to your body type, with slightly ruffled sleeves, a deeper cut neck that showed off a bit of cleavage, and shorts that stopped high on your thighs, accentuating your round butt and thick legs. This was one of those outfits that made you feel sexy, and you needed that right now. You put on very light makeup and walked out of the tent, determined to turn your mood around.
As soon as you popped out, you nearly smacked right into Chan, who was carrying a few pieces of firewood. “Oh, there you are.” Chan said, taking in your outfit. “Wow, that is so cute, (Y/n).”
“Thanks Channie.” You let yourself smile, always welcoming Chan’s bubbly demeanor and positivity. “You don’t think its, um, too dressed up for camping?”
“Hmm.” He said, looking you up and down a little too long. “Is it a dress?”
“It’s a romper.” You said, doing a small turn to show him the back too.
You caught his eyes on your legs when you turned back around, and his ears were red. “Um, I think it’s great.”
“Okay good.” You smiled as a light blush spread across your cheeks. At least Chan likes it.
“We’re almost ready to eat, come on.” He said, gesturing for you to follow him two tents down where everyone was busy getting dinner prepared.
You walked up with Chan and he went straight to the fire, adding some of the wood he’d gathered. Hyunjin and Changbin were sitting at the table, cleaning off lettuce and perilla leaves. Seungmin and Jeongin were hovering over a pot full of stew. Felix was mixing together some kind of batter while Jisung kept trying to stick his finger in to taste it. And lastly, Minho had his back to you facing the grill, tongs in hand as he watched the meat sizzle.
“Hey guys, sorry it took me so long to get ready.”
Heads turned to you in greeting, all cheerful and some in a bit of shock (especially Changbin) at your outfit, like Chan had been. Minho turned around at your greeting, and his smile that had been gathering fell flat when he saw you. You tried not to notice.
“Wow.” Changbin blurted before he could stop himself.
“Noona you look so pretty!” Felix said with a big smile, sweet as always.
“Thanks, Lixie!” You came up to the table then and sat down right between Changbin and Hyunjin. “Can I help?”
“Sure, thanks (Y/n).” Hyunjin said, trying not to laugh at the way Changbin was actually a little speechless.
“We’re just separating leaves?” You asked, looking over at Changbin then.
He managed to compose himself and cleared his throat. “Um, yeah. Here ya go.” He slid a plate over towards you and you began to help them. After a moment, Changbin sat up straighter and playfully bumped into your shoulder. “And don’t think I’m gonna let you make your own wraps, Noona.”
You actually laughed and bumped his shoulder back, feeling at ease suddenly. “Oh good, you’re back.”
Everyone continued to prepare the food, Seungmin bringing the stew to the table followed by Jisung and Jeongin carrying rice and ramen. Chan started to pass around drinks as you, Changbin, and Hyunjin finished with the leaves. Then finally, Minho came over with all the freshly grilled meat. It looked like a feast and your mouth was watering at all the savory smells.
“Wah, it looks so good, I’m starving.” You said, watching the steam come up off the meat.
“Let’s eat!” Chan exclaimed, and everyone dug in.
You let yourself relax during dinner, and with the help of Changbin and Chan supplying you with food and beer respectively, you actually enjoyed yourself. Minho seemed to be fine, and was joking and eating with Jisung and everyone else. The food got devoured, and then Felix disappeared for a bit while everyone started to clean up. When the table was cleared again, Felix was back with brownies, and everyone started to gather around the fire instead.
Everyone started to take their spots, and you were heading for one beside Minho, when it was snagged by Jisung. So you went for his other side, but that was now occupied by Seungmin. You looked around and saw that there were no more open chairs in the immediate vicinity of the fire. “Well damn, I lost musical chairs.” You laughed.
“Oh, do you need me to grab you a chair Noona?” Felix asked, looking up from his plate of brownies he was about to pass out.
“She’s good.” Changbin interjected, reaching for your waist and pulling you towards himself. “There’s an open spot here.”
Changbin pulled you down onto his lap, specifically his right thigh, and you immediately started to blush. “Ch-Changbin…” You stammered in a hushed tone, looking across the fire at Minho, who was glaring at the both of you. “I’m—”
He literally put his finger to your lips to stop you, and you felt your temperature rise. “Hush. You’re fine.”
You swallowed but didn’t protest, remembering your promise to yourself to have fun. And if Changbin was going to keep flirting with you, you could certainly flirt back. No matter what Minho might think.
“Hey, we should all tell scary stories!” Jeongin burst out, an excited grin on his face.
“Oh yeah, that sounds fun!” Jisung added.
“You and Felix are always the ones who get scared though.” Hyunjin reminded them with a chuckle. “Remember last movie night?”
“I didn’t cry!” Felix burst out, then looked twice as embarrassed.
“No one even said anything.” Seungmin laughed, making Felix’s freckled cheeks flush further. “I’ve got a story or two up my sleeve.”
“Oooooo spooky!” Chan wiggled his eyebrows, looking excited.
Minho purposely locked eyes with you before voicing his ascent as well. “I’m down for some ghost stories.”
You huffed, looking away. You hated scary stories, and Minho knew that. He was doing this to fuck with you now. Your body language caught Changbin’s attention.
“You okay Noona?”
You let out a sigh, determined not to let Minho get to you. “…yeah.”
Changbin frowned, not believing you. “You don’t like scary stories?”
You met his eyes and couldn’t deny it. “Not really.”
His arm tightened around your waist and pulled you back into his chest with a cheeky grin. “Don’t worry. I’ll protect you.”
“Yeah, okay.” You rolled your eyes but let him snuggle up to you. Changbin was sweet and really, really hot, and even if you didn’t have feelings for him you could still enjoy yourself. Besides, he was keeping his hands in respectful places on your waist and the arm of the chair.
Seungmin cleared his throat then, and started off with his story. “Not a lot of people know this, but this area has a bit of a dark history…”
He began to spin a tale of people getting lost in the woods and disappearing from their campsites without a trace. You’d never noticed it before, but Seungmin had a way with words. Without realizing it, you found yourself hanging on to his every phrase as he drew everyone in to this dark and suspenseful plot. The campsite seemed to get quiet, darker, just the crackle of the flames to accompany his voice. Finally he came to the end of his story, wrapping it al up with one final line. “And that’s why you should never bunk alone.”
It was deathly quiet for a moment before Hyunjin burst out laughing, making you jump in Changbin’s lap. Everyone else joined in the laughter, including Seungmin himself, giving away that he’d completely made it all up. But your heart was beating a million miles a minute. You gave a faint smile as they all laughed and poked fun at the plot, still reeling from how intense the moment had felt. Suddenly you felt cold, and you were glad for the warm, chiseled man tucking you to his chest. You noticed Minho’s eyes quickly flickering to your face and away a few times, almost like he was trying to gauge your reaction to the scary stories.
After you’d been quiet for a little while, Changbin finished chuckling at a joke Jeongin made before tilting his head towards you and saying quietly, “See? Wasn’t so bad, huh?”
You returned his smile as you felt your heart rate returning to normal. “Nah, not so bad.” Changbin gave your waist a reassuring squeeze before you both dove back into the conversation.
* * * * *
You were fine the rest of the night, until it came time for bed. You dressed in your button up pj set and washed your face, alone in your eerily quiet tent. You went through and zipped up all the doors and windows from the entrance all the way back to your bed before crawling under the covers. You reached for the remote to turn off the light, but before you could plunge yourself into darkness, you froze.
Fuck. The stories had gotten to you. You were scared. You felt silly to be frightened of the dark at your grown ass age, but it was true. You sat there for a while, debating what you should do. You could try to stay up as long as possible, until the exhaustion swept over and knocked you out. But that could take a while, and then you were susceptible to nightmares.
If this was any other time, you’d walk next door to Minho and Jisung’s tent and ask to hang with them until you felt better. But then you thought of Minho, and the way he’d been glaring at you all day. Would he make fun of you, or worse, turn you away? You sat still for a while, contemplating, until you heard the faint sound of a twig snapping outside the tent, and you flew out of the bed and across the room, fear propelling you all the way to Minho and Jisung’s tent.
They’d left the entrance open to the first room, and you stepped inside quickly with fear of being exposed. You stopped however, outside the second door to the bedroom. You heard muffled sounds of the TV playing, and you knew they were still up, but you hesitated. There was nothing to knock on, since the tent walls were plastic.
Instead you took a shallow breath and cleared your throat, your voice still coming out hoarse. “M-Minho? Jisung? Are you up?”
You waited only a moment before you heard a husky Jisung call out, “Come in.”
You awkwardly unzipped the tent door before stumbling inside. It took your eyes a moment to adjust to the semi-darkness before your gaze flicked from the TV on the far wall to the two boys cuddling in the bed next to you. You froze in place at the casual way Jisung was splayed out bedside his hyung, Minho’s arm flung loosely around Jisung’s impossibly small waist. They were both facing the TV, watching Howl’s Moving Castle at a low volume.
“What’s up Noona?” Jisung asked, his eyes squinting over at you, he’d clearly been dozing.
When you didn’t reply after a moment, Minho, who’s eyes hadn’t left the screen, finally flickered to your face. A flash of alarm colored his expression before he could compose himself, head snapping to attention. “(Y/n), what’s wrong?”
The way he was looking at you, eyebrows pinched together with concern, suddenly had you blanching. You felt utterly ridiculous. “I—it’s nothing, never mind.”
Jisung yawned and subconsciously snuggled up closer to Minho as he watched the conversation. You were nearly overwhelmed by the sudden wave of jealousy coursing through you now, with how intimate they were. You would have gladly murdered Jisung in that moment, to take his place curled up at Minho’s side. Wow, clearly the stress of the night was getting to you. You felt your expression fall into despair again as you tried to back out of the room.
“Wait, (Y/n), hold on.” You heard Minho shuffling out of the bed as you continued to turn and try to escape the room. You only made it halfway through the front room before he was grabbing your arm. “What’s wrong? You don’t look okay.”
You couldn’t meet his gaze. “Nothing, I just…um…” You bit your lip, torn between wanting to tell him the truth and needing to get away from him before the tears started to spill over.
“Did you have a nightmare?”
He wasn’t far from the mark.
You shook your head but finally confessed. “I heard a sound outside my tent and got s-scared.”
“Aw, poor baby.” Minho teased, but you didn’t react in your usual way, no shy smile or giggle or even a blush. Minho realized with shock that you’d actually started to cry. “Oh my god, I’m sorry.” He stood there horrified, not letting go of your arm but not pulling you into his embrace either. “Should I, uh—”
Before he could finish you’d already wretched your arm free and started to hurry back to your tent. You hated that you were fucking crying right now like a child, but your nerves were fried and you couldn’t keep hold of your emotions any longer. You made it all the way into your room and onto the bed again before you realized Minho had followed you all the way in.
“What are you doing?” You asked him, confusion making it through your tears.
“I’m gonna stay with you until you feel better.” He said, like it was obvious, as he zipped the door closed behind himself. “Now scoot over and kill the lights, it’s too damn bright in here.”
You froze again, your brain busy scrambling to understand the situation. Minho was staying with you, in your room? In your bed?! “What about Jisung?” You croaked as he walked over to you.
“He’ll be fine. He’s probably already asleep again.” He said it all casually, deciding to just crawl around you to the other side since you still weren’t moving. He plucked the remote from the shelf and clicked the lights off before plopping down and pulling the covers back. “Come on, you’re gonna get cold.”
You shivered involuntarily as you realized you were freezing and finally got under the covers, your back to Minho. He flung the covers over you and settled down on his side of the bed, careful to leave space between your bodies. You took a few deep breaths, trying to make sense of the thoughts spinning around in your head. Your heart was so loud in your ears you would’ve been shocked if Minho couldn’t hear it as well.
“Was it Seungmin’s story that scared you?” Minho asked after a moment, his voice soft.
“Yeah.” You replied just as low, worried your voice would crack with emotion.
“…Is that why you’re crying?” He asked even quieter.
Was that why you were in tears? Fear? No. It was because of the easy way Minho could be close to Jisung. “No.”
“Then why…?” He trailed off, confused.
Instead of answering, you shifted backwards towards him, reaching for his arm. You brushed his side and he immediately shrank away, like your touch had stung him. You burst into heavy tears, your words intelligible and broken by sobs as it all spilled out.
“See! YOU HATE ME. You find me so disgusting you can barely touch me! You won’t even hug me all the way, let alone cuddle with me! But you let Jisung snuggle up to you like that, so easily? You let your friends poke and prod at you so casually? You find my body so repulsive, so unappealing, so…fat that you can’t even bare to see your friends touch me! You won’t even touch me…” You kept your back to him, afraid to see what his face looked like, what disgust it portrayed.
You waited what felt like an eternity for him to respond.
Minho sighed in frustration, and before you knew what was happening, he’d grabbed you by the hips and quite roughly pulled your ass back into his crotch, rubbing his prominent erection against you.
“Does this feel like disgust?” He asked with a quiet but firm tone. “Huh? Do you think I’d be this hard if I thought you were ‘disgusting’?” You gasped but couldn’t speak, a sob caught dead in your throat at the shock of the switch up. “Honey, I was fucking jealous of Changbin and about ready to deck his dumbass in the face for touching you all day.” You gulped, feeling need grow between your legs as he continued to rub against you. Was this really happening? “And the reason I don’t ever touch you is because if I did, I wouldn’t be able to stop myself from doing this.” He pulled back slightly and smacked your ass hard, making you cry out.
“M-Minho!” You gasped.
“You’ve been driving me fucking crazy all day.” He groaned, his mouth now right against your ear. “Are you going to let me show you how?” You vigorously nodded and he left a wet and sloppy kiss on your neck just below your ear before growling, “Turn over and stick that fat ass up for me.”
Your whole body shuttered as you did as he asked, and as Minho threw the blankets away he smacked your ass again for good measure. He got behind you as you arched your back, and before you could even think he had gripped the hem of your shorts and underwear and pulled both over your hips and down to your knees. Your tears weren’t even dry on your face before he was gripping and grabbing your cheeks, spreading them back and forth and admiring your holes before pushing you back down flat on the bed. You were breathless as you gripped the headboard in front of you, suddenly very grateful for it’s metal bars.
As your hands automatically reached out to grip the cold metal, you felt Minho lean down to growl into your ear. “Now, are you gonna be a brat, or are you gonna be a good girl and let me fuck you into this mattress?” You swallowed loudly, your whole body shivering at his words as your pussy clenched and oozed more slick. You nodded, but he gripped your hair and tugged it back roughly, letting his lips rasp across your cheek. “I need words, Noona.” Another pause, and a quick reframe of the question. “Do you want me to fuck you, sweetheart?”
You whimpered before choking out a pitiful, “Yes!”
You could hear the smile in his voice as he replied. “Good girl.”
Your cunt clenched again as he released your hair, scooting back down so he was straddling your thighs. You swung your head around to watch as he pushed his sweats down just enough to free his cock. You whimpered again as it sprung free, and you got an eyeful of his dark, ruddy length, pulsing and swollen with desire. He was thick and long, and you knew he was about to destroy your neglected pussy. He gripped the base of his cock, guiding the head towards your slit, letting out a deep groan when the tip made the first swipe through your wetness. He nudged just the entrance with he tip and heard you gasp, his head snapping up to look into your watery eyes. He saw the worry there, and his expression softened just a hair.
“Just relax baby, I promise it won’t hurt, let me take care of you.” His words were the perfect mixture of reassuring and sultry, and you quickly nodded. “That’s my good girl.”
You audibly whined at the term again, and he knew he had you. Your jaw fell slack and open as you felt his cockhead press further into you. The fit was so snug you were seeing stars. You turned around and dropped your head into the pillow, gripping the bars of the headboard, and pushing your hips up as much as you could with him straddling you, trying to open up your pussy more.
“Look at you, pushing this ass up for me already.” His voice was deep velvet dripping with arousal. He pushed his cock farther in, gripped under each of your ass cheeps and spreading them so he could watch every centimeter of his shaft as he sank ever deeper. “Fuck, you’re so fucking tight!”
You were gasping for breath as he finally bottomed out, your eyes literally rolling back in your skull. The most animalistic sound you’d ever made ripping through your throat as you clenched around him.
“Oh my god, I’m gonna lose my fucking mind if you keep doing that.” Minho growled at you, switching his hands from under your ass to your hips, adjusting his own hips in preparation. He held you there, cock as deep as was possible, pressing your hips down into the bed, trying as hard as he could not to just start pounding into you.
You whined again, feeling so fucking full. “M-Minho—”
“I know baby, I know.” He cooed at you, a tone of voice you’d never heard before coloring his words. “I’m gonna take care of you, shhh.”
Your breath hitched as he began to pull out, excruciating slow for the both of you, before sliding back home again. He was clearly using all his self control to take this pace and make sure you were stretched enough for him. After a few strokes he began to build speed, and you were soon rocking back and forth on the bed, whimpers leaving your mouth as he fucked you.
“Minho, pl-please.” You begged, unable to say more as he angled his hips again.
“Hmm? What is it? Use your words.” His voice was strained but he never missed a stroke in his pace.
“F-Faster, please, faster!’ You gasped, and you were not disappointed when he gripped your hips harder and began smacking his pelvis into your ass, a groan actually leaving his mouth as he felt you falling apart around him.
“You like that, huh? Like it when I get rough?” He spat out through his teeth, and you shivered. Suddenly you felt a smack on your ass, making you clench and whimper. “Answer me!”
You quickly nodded, then added out loud, “Yes, I l-love it!”
Then he was gripping your hair and pulling your head back to growl into your ear again. “You want it hard baby? Want me to make you cry?”
You were gasping, overwhelmed with desire, and it took you a moment to form the words. “Yes! Yes, fuck me hard, please, I’ll be a good girl!”
Suddenly your head was being pushed back into the pillow roughly, and Minho supported himself with his other hand before he began a relentless pounding. You heard him growling into your ear as he lost his mind in your pussy. “If you ever let Changbin touch you again, you won’t be able to sit for a week, you understand?”
Minho did not slow his pace, and all you could say was “hnnnnnnnnnnnng!”
But Minho didn’t push for your answer. Instead he let go of your hair to grip your hips again in his crushing hands, and then he was fucking you into the mattress like he promised, at a pace that made it hard for you to breathe. Within minutes you were close, feeling your body spasming as you tried to take in enough air to tell him you were about to cum. Before you could form even a single syllable your were combusting under him, your orgasm ripping through you with a guttural cry that you were sure was heard three tents away. But you had no control over your body as his cock pistoned in and out of your core, prolonging your climax longer than you thought possible. When you were finally whimpering from overstimulation and twitching at his every movement, he pulled out and came across your ass with a cry of his own, more high pitched then you would’ve thought, but so incredibly primal that it made you clench again, pushing out more of your cum in the process. “Wow.”
You had no strength left in your limbs, your body completely slack and shaking, with the exception of your hands, still gripping the bars for dear life. You felt Minho climb off you, but you had no energy to even turn your head from the pillow. “Don’t move.” He breathed into your hair, kissing your head once before disappearing. You were almost disassociating when he came back. You just vaguely noticed a towel on your skin, cleaning up the mess, before another kiss was placed on your ass. “You okay?”
You were still unable to reply, and then you felt his hands prying yours from the bars and turning you over with concern, your body like dead weight.
“(Y/n), hey, look at me!”
You managed to focus on his face finally, feeling like you were still floating from what just happened. “Mmmm.”
Minho saw the lazy smile tugging at your lips, and knew you were okay. Just completely blissed out. “That good huh?”
You grinned wide then, making grabby hands for him, and he chuckled as he laid down beside you, reaching for your waist. You cuddled up to his side, still trying to catch your breath. You were both quiet for some time as your heart rates returned to normal.
“Noona?” He asked softly, stirring your warm, contented thoughts.
“Yeah?” You heard the change in his tone and lifted your head to look at him.
“I’m sorry.” He said softly, his hand caressing your side. “I’m sorry I made you think that I…didn’t like you. That I didn’t want you. I know that I’m not the best at talking about my feelings but…” He paused again, and you looked from his eyes to his lips, realizing you hadn’t kissed him yet. “I didn’t know if you felt the same way about me. And I couldn’t stand making a move and you rejecting me. So I just kept my distance and tried to be content with being your friend. But then…Seo fucking Changbin had to go and ruin it.”
You chuckled, looking deep into his eyes, shining with vulnerability. You kissed him then, closing your eyes and falling into him. He cupped your face and slid his lips against yours, returning the kiss just as eagerly, full of longing. After a while you pulled away, holding his cheek and making sure he heard you. “Minho, I don’t want Changbin. I want you. I’ve always wanted you.”
He grinned, a sight that never failed to dazzle you. His next words turned your whole world upside down, in the best way possible.
“I’m all yours.”
