Hello!! Thank you so much for clicking in!!!!!! I've never done anything like this before, so again, apologies. Anywho, I'll just cut to the chase and not waste any of your time. I'll start with the premise, then expand into headcanons. If you decide to write this, feel free to pick and choose what you like, since it will become your own work through your interpretation!!! Disregard anything you don't like <3.
The basic premise of the fic is:
Martin's family is new money, and they decide to bite the bullet and move to where all the affluent, elite live, attempting to network and assimilate with their new tax bracket, therefore thrusting him into his new reality. Martin was promptly adopted by someone and shown the ropes of the social circles and how to operate them, the who 's-who and the dos & don'ts. He feels the tensions between different people and groups, and gets caught in the middle of them at times.
Between school, house parties, and overtly lavish social events, a series of trials and tribulations occur to bring the unlikely group of friends together. –> (and ships! Like the ones tagged above).
This fic overall is supposed to kinda have an angsty feeling to it at points behind the glitz and glamour, humanizing the characters. Definitely it gets worse before it gets better, typa vibe. The OC, Gossip Girl, and Super Rich Kids vibe should probably be strong. Probably alternating POVS since the unreliable narrator portion would probably add a lot of interest to the fic in my opinion.

Overall
- They run in different social circles at varying levels of friendship, some are downright really bad
- Maybe can use other idols as their friends, or just use ocs
Juhoon (my bias, if you couldn't tell)
- He is like ultra mega generational wealth, and you can tell even by just his demeanour.
- His family on his dad's side has been politicians (governors?) for decades, and his mum is a model.
- He's on the school soccer team and plays the cello, violin, and piano, though he never brags; he simply plays when his parents want to entertain the guests.
- frequents balls and extravagant events hosted by his family or closely affiliated
- an academic weapon and is rivals with Seonghyeon in terms of grades.
- Chill and easy to talk to.
- Academic golden boy –> head prefect typa role?
- Lowkey riddled with anxiety, but he manages, so whatever.
- Smoaking vice to ease his nerves. –> He's not opposed to buying prescriptions off of other kids at school.
- Is expected to go to an Ivy League, Princeton like his father and his father before him
Martin
- He's really good at making friends and connections, oftentimes networking without meaning to
- Overall, pretty easy going, can be fumble interactions real bad when he's stressed
- His parents created a tech company around music and developed some software for music creation, thus accumulating wealth over the last 7ish years –> Martin is super into his parents'
business.
- Somewhat sad his older sister didn't come with the family when they moved, she's taking a gap year in uni and travelling, therefore leaving him to fend for himself in a new place
- He started out as a normal, middle-class kid.
- Plays a myriad of instruments because of his interest in music, which his parents nurtured.
- Vape and weed seeker at parties.
- Even tho hes really good at interacting with others, he still feels like an outsider to this world, unlike all his new peers who were born in it.
Keonho
- Made friends with public school kids and is always downplaying whatever he's wearing or his stuff to them
- He's an incredibly gifted swimmer and makes it to nationals all the time, as the medals to prove it.
- He has had to push through a lot of torn muscles and injuries from swimming since that's his main thing, and he literally cannot drop it. –> something he loves turned into profit, therefore
no longer being as enjoyable and more of a chore
- Has three cars gifted to him by his family, has had them before he could even drive
- Is a regular at bodegas and has befriended the owners and workers.
- The first guy to offer everyone a shot of tequila at house parties, delegates himself as bartender, even at more formal events, when he should be more serious.
- He's friends with most everybody, but in that loose way
- His dad is a lawyer, and his mother's family owns businesses; both parties bring in wealth, but it's mostly Keonhos mum
- Has a one friend group within his tax bracket and one outside
- He pops percs (percocet) before class just for shits and gigs
Seonghyeon
- His wealth isn't new persay, it's established but not nearly as old as James or Juhoons, perhaps has been building within his family since his grandparents, through a hotel business
- Is expected that he will go to Brown University by his parents and study business.
- Boarding school kid to the max, his parents do not want to deal with him or his sister, so they both get sent to boarding schools on exchanges all the time. –> So when he's back, he tends
to like to let loose and go crazy
- Has a collection of Rolexes.
- Doesn't really have a direction in which he's passionate to go towards, rather hes being tugged down his family's path.
- Oldest son burden weighing on him all the time.
- Constantly throwing ragers when he comes home from boarding school, he mellows out a bit after the first two weeks of being home
- Is always down for whatever
James
- Just as wealthy as Juhoon, real old money, they have both known each other since childhood, since their families ran the same circles, but they aren't super duper close.
- Raised by his grandparents
- He's not super overt about his status; he's just showy enough for you to look twice
- He doesn't really care for appearances; he will be himself, and that's that, but that weirdly attracts people to him (it also off-puts a lot of people too tho which works for him since he values
his alone time).
- Has a perfume collection
- Hockey star, he goes to high-level games and does quite well for himself.
- His family owns a handful of islands that he spends a lot of time at, even throwing parties at some on rare occasions.
