View- Scarlet
I sit at my vanity knitting quietly as my mom runs a brush through my hair, she pushes my hair to the side zipping my dress up placing a kiss to my cheek. She silently leaves the room leaving me staring in the mirror a single tear slipping down my cheek. I grab my suitcase dragging it down the hall out to the car, lifting it inside the trunk. The car ride there’s a silent blur of my dad’s grumbling, and my mom’s silent sobs in her hanker chief.
I stare out the window silently my hair blowing gently in the wind. when we pull up to the airport I get out of the car silently, everyone’s parents are saying goodbyes pretty much, when I go to look back to the car at my parents there already speeding away my suit case on the ground. I whimper slightly grabbing the suitcase waiting till boarding time, I look around noticing everyone else is a boy which makes me cheeks flush awkwardly. When it’s finally time for boarding, I find a decent window seat not hear the bathrooms but not in the very front. The boys around me easily lift there suitcase into the storage compartment, but when I try to lift I struggle slightly well lifting it till a boy I’ve never met takes it from me lifting it for me. When I look over to thank him he gives me a smile telling me his names Maurice. After he says that an announcement saying that we all must take a seat comes through the announcement system. I sit in my seat silently as Maurice walks further up the isle a bit sitting with another boy with blonde slicked back hair. I sit there alone looking out the window before a little boy around four maybe five walks over, he looks like he can’t be older than six at most.
