"have you finished your summary report?" haechan asked as soon as renjun sat down on his seat.
"yeah. it was almost 3am when i finished it." renjun chuckled. their summary report output was handed out to them since last week but since he was a major crammer, he only started doing his report last night and was due today, 6am. he knew cramming was an unhealthy habit but in his defense, he works better when deadlines are near because he has no choice but to do them.
he also has a slight headache due to the constant lack of enough sleep the past few nights because he was cramming his other school works.
he heard haechan chuckle too. "same! i just finished it earlier too. we really should stop cramming, renjun."
"if it's that easy. i actually work better when i cram." renjun pouted.
"anyways, where's your report?"
"huh? in my ipad."
"you didn't print it out?" haechan asked.
he shook his head. "no. i thought we just have to show it to the professor using the softcopy?"
"the professor wants us to submit a hardcopy of our report. today."
renjun gasped. "for real? why didn't i know?"
"not your fault, don't worry. he just announced it online earlier before class."
"oh shit, do you think if i went to the library right now to get my report printed out, i would get back before class starts?"
haechan grimaced. "no. he'd probably mark you absent already and not let you attend class. he hates late comers you know? gee. why don't you ask someone else to have it printed out for you?"
renjun fidgeted with his fingers, thinking of someone who he can ask a favor. there is someone. he quickly whipped out his phone.
he hoped his boyfriend wasn't busy. as far as he knows, jeno doesn't have class today so he's probably free. the last update he received from jeno was that he was in the gym this morning. he send him a message and hopes that his boyfriend had his notifications turned on.
rj: baby, where are you? T.T
jn: hi baby :) getting breakfast near uni, why?
rj: can you help me?
jn: ofc! what is it?
rj: my class starts in 20 minutes and i forgot to print out my report. can u print it out for me, pleasee?
jn: got it. ill get it done asap. send me the file and ur classroom loc.
rj: THANK YOU, i love u, you're the best! :*
renjun heaved a sigh of relief, slumping back on his seat. thankfully, jeno just finished hitting the gym. though he felt bad disturbing his boyfriend's breakfast.
"so?"
"i got jeno to print it out for me."
"knight in shining armor to the rescue." haechan teased. renjun rolled his eyes but there was a small smile on his face.

after sending jeno his classroom's location twenty minutes ago, he hasn't heard back from his boyfriend. renjun begins to worry again. is something holding up jeno from arriving asap? his class is starting in 3 minutes. he knows he shouldn't be rushing jeno because he's the one asking for a favor. he is grateful that jeno responded immediately to his sos message but when is he arriving? just then his phone vibrated in his pocket.
jn: im outside. hope i wasn't too late.
rj: THANK GOODNESS
renjun bolted up from his seat to the classroom's door. he saw jeno outside holding two pages of paper and a paper bag in his other hand. renjun beamed at his boyfriend and rushed up to hug him, making jeno stumble back.
"thank you!" renjun snuggled his face onto his boyfriend's shoulder. he looked like a cat purring. "i love you, you're the best."
he felt jeno's chest vibrate when he chuckled. "uh-huh. i got you, baby."
renjun slightly pulled away from the embrace and looked up at jeno, pouting. "i'm sorry for bothering your breakfast."
"it's alright. i was almost done when you messaged me. here's your report."
renjun took the papers out of jeno's hand. "thank you for coming as quickly as you can."
"anything for you." jeno smiles. "i also got you breakfast, in case you skipped again."
"omg, you didn't have to!" renjun exclaimed. but deep inside, his heart fluttered by the extra effort. he usually doesn't eat breakfast because he chooses the extra hour for sleep instead of preparing food. "god, i love you."
"do you only love me when i do you favors?" jeno teased.
"nuh-uh! i love you all the time."
"ahem." a sudden cough caught their attention, making them look behind. there was renjun's professor standing before them, looking unimpressed. he had one brow raised and had his arms crossed.
"mr. huang and the boyfriend, may i remind you that we are in school? hugging and showing public display of affection, especially during my class is unacceptable. ugh, what a sight for sore eyes. youngsters these days." the professor said before walking inside the classroom. before he fully went inside, he added. "as punishment, you'll have to do roll call and collect everyone's paper and hand it to me."
renjun turned to look at jeno, who was starting to smile. he couldn't help but let out a small laugh as well.
"yikes. well, you better go inside now before your professor makes you do more stuff." jeno patted his head. "see you later, baby. let me know if you need anything."
"uh-huh. bye, baby. love you."
