Chapter Text
You turn around in your seat when you hear Andrew finally stirring in the backseat.
“Where the fuck am I?” he rasps.
You think about your answer. “You’re safe, don’t worry.” “I’ll get that blindfold off of you in a bit.”
“Who the fuck are you and what did you do to me?” His low voice was still rasping from the rough handling and chloroform it took to get him into the car.
“I used a safe dose of chloroform to knock you out and get you into the car.” “Your brothers helped me knock you out and get you in the car.” You wonder if you should apologize for the cuts and bruises he’d sustained during that transaction, but he had definitely been through a million times worse. You needed to concentrate on the road and keep him as calm as possible, even though he was restrained with zip-ties at his wrists and ankles. You knew how strong he was and would wager he had all kinds of tricks up his sleeve to escape any kind of situation.
“What do you mean my brothers helped you get me into a car?” He sounds like he thinks this might just be a joke. His fucking brothers would do some stupid shit like this for their own enjoyment.
You really hadn’t thought out how you'd actually answer his questions once you safely
got him out of his apartment. “You really aren’t going to get any of this until we get where we’re going, but I’ll give you the rundown on how I got this situation to actually happen.” “You aren’t in any danger and will never be in any danger ever again.”
You take his silence from the backseat as a signal to keep going.
“I’ve been planning on taking you away from your family for so long” you say, your voice catching in your throat a little. “You don’t deserve to live life being used as a pawn and committing crime for a woman who never had an ounce of real love for you.” “Now that she’s gone, I’m going to give you the life you deserve. You deserve to be taken care of in every way.” “You deserve to enjoy your life as much as possible.”
His voice hitched as he asked “What happened to Smurf?” “What did you do?”
You feel terrible having to relay the news of her passing to Andrew; he loved her even though she treated him like a dog.
“Smurf has been sick for months, Andrew. She wasn’t going to tell anyone until she could square up all her deals and make as much money as possible to leave to J.” Deran only found out because he found her passed out at the house.” He finally got it out of her and the family agreed not to tell you.”
You heard him swallow thickly before you kept going.
“I couldn’t leave you in Oceanside to keep doing stupid shit with your brothers.” “They’ll never know how to take care of themselves in any way that’s legal.” “Smurf left everything to J.”
“Smurf is dead?” How did she die? Did you kill her?!” His voice was rising with measured anger.
You sigh. You don’t want Andrew to hurt about anything ever again. “She died peacefully at home, Andrew.” “She was able to keep up a show for your family until her last few days.” “That’s why Deran had you busy at the bar last week.” “When Craig dragged you out for a midnight skate last night, Smurf passed away in her own bed with Deran and J at her side.”
You could hear him quietly start to sob. You hated having to hurt him so much. But you couldn’t chance him doing something out of control before your plan was in action. Craig and Deran had helped you out so much. It surprised you that they seemed grateful to you for doing this. Even if it was extreme.
