give it to me all: a yeonbin oneshot

Summary:

The sudden sob startled Soobin. "Oh, dearest," cooed Soobin. He immediately put away the bowl and grabbed a glass of water and some tissue. He wiped away Yeonjun's tears and the remnants of sauce on his lips. When Yeonjun's sobs grew louder, Soobin leaned closer and caressed his hair. Frankly, Soobin didn't know what he was doing, but all he knew was he had to calm Yeonjun down. "What's wrong, honey?" asked Soobin, when Yeonjun's cries finally quieted down.

Yeonjun just shook his head lightly. "I don't know," he stammered. "I just feel really emotional all in a sudden." He gulped. "I'm feeling so much feelings that I'm overwhelmed. I don't even know why I'm being ridiculous like this." He sounded so frustrated with his own self that Soobin couldn't help but feel awful.

While Soobin could be considerate, Soobin couldn't read Yeonjun's mind. Soobin also didn't have quite the grasp of comprehension to know what's happening to Yeonjun and why the phenomenon was happening. Still, Soobin tried his best to understand. He loved Yeonjun to the point of understanding things beyond comprehension.

Work Text:

Of course, Soobin was very happy. He just became a father to a beautiful baby boy. Soobin was more than delighted to welcome Yoojun into the world. Just upon the moment he received the baby, Soobin knew there was nothing he wouldn't do for him.

Not to mention, Soobin was relieved. Yeonjun had finally finished his pregnancy era. Actually, Soobin didn't care much about the weird things that came during the pregnancy, like those cucumber peanut butter cravings or the sudden love for fishing. When Soobin looked back to what it was like during Yeonjun's pregnancy era, there were some things that Soobin liked even, and maybe it had something to do with how adorable Yeonjun's belly looked. Soobin didn't hate Yeonjun being pregnant. It's just Soobin couldn't stand looking at Yeonjun in so much pain.

The pregnancy wasn't the most difficult part for Yeonjun thankfully. Soobin had witnessed his other friends' pregnancies, including Beomgyu's, and Yeonjun got it in the easier end. Still, watching as Yeonjun woke up with back cramps and him being unable to walk around without feeling light headed was something Soobin would never want to repeat. Sure, he wouldn't mind another child if Yeonjun wanted one, but he'd probably cry if he had to see Yeonjun vomiting every other morning again. Especially not when he'd have to find out Yeonjun's mood swings led him to sob over the most mundane things and making him emotional too.

However, the worst part was when Yeonjun gave birth. Obviously, the advice given by the other alphas were to stay strong. Taehyun told him to hold Yeonjun's hand and smile during the whole time, to support Yeonjun. But the moment he saw Yeonjun in pain, Soobin's heart immediately dropped.

Soobin did hold himself back from sobbing during the whole time Yeonjun was pushing out Yoojun. He held Yeonjun's hand and looked at Yeonjun. He told Yeonjun to scream all he wanted, to squeeze his hand, to bite his arm if needed. He told Yeonjun to do anything he needed to lessen the ache. Still, Soobin almost couldn't bear watching Yeonjun turning red like he's about to explode, then pale like he's about to faint. At the end, it was all worth it, but Soobin felt no need to repeat it again, in fears of Yeonjun hurting again.

"Congratulations, guys," whispered Beomgyu as soon as he arrived at the hospital room. His smile was wide and his eyes sparkled. He seemed so excited to look at the healthy newborn and his friends. "Wow. Yeonjun hyung, you still look radiant as ever." He gasped.

And Beomgyu wasn't lying either. Soobin could tell how Yeonjun glowed beautifully after giving birth, even in that ratty hospital gown and under the dim lighting of the room. Even with the baby in his hands, he couldn't keep his eyes off Yeonjun.

"Hey, Soobin hyung," greeted Taehyun when he went in. He smiled and dapped Soobin's shoulder, taking a glance at the baby in Soobin's arms. "He's adorable. He has your lips and Yeonjun hyung's nose." He chuckled. "I saw your in laws and your parents in the waiting room. For newly grandparents, they look kind of... miserable."

Soobin huffed faintly at Taehyun's statement. "Yeah, Yeonjun's parents are still calming themselves down after witnessing Yeonjun giving birth and my parents are calming them down," he explained. He grinned. "My mom said she's going to handle the nursery in our apartment once they're done calming themselves down." He shifted his gaze at Yeonjun who was being consoled by Beomgyu.

Beomgyu placed the huge sushi boat on Yeonjun's bed's table. "I prepared this since you love sushi and now you're finally allowed to eat raw fish. God, you deserve this after all you've gone through from your pregnancy to your labor, hyung," he uttered, "I ordered it specifically from your favorite restaurant."

Taehyun snorted. "Yeah, more like threatened the restaurant to make one," he added uselessly, earning a glare from Beomgyu, before beaming evilly and looking back to Soobin, "That guy called the restaurant and told them they had to make one of those or he'd burn the whole thing down. So violent." He clicked his tongue. "No wonder Minjung and Minjun are that way."

"Oh, please, we both know their sleep wrestling hobby is from you," retorted Beomgyu jokingly as he rolled his eyes. He shifted his gaze towards Yeonjun. "Anyways, how are you feeling, Yeonjun hyung?"

Yeonjun just smiled softly. He looked like he was still deprived of energy, though he looked a little better while he ate the sushi rolls. "I mean, the back ache is gone, but now my you know hurts after it just got stitched," he croaked. He might've lost his voice while he was in labor. "But I'm just really tired mostly now. I guess I just need to sleep it off."

Soobin smiled sympathetically. "Yeah, you do," he added. He still couldn't imagine how much of a torture it was for Yeonjun to go through all that and somehow he made it through and still looked like a god while he was recovering. The moment he sensed a whiff of smooth vanilla from Yeonjun, he smiled. "Don't worry about Yoojunnie. You've pumped enough and his milk supply is more than enough for the day."

It really felt like it took a village to raise a child. During the first few days, Kai and Lea insisted on staying in, to help with cleaning the house and looking after the baby at times. Yeonjun's mom and Soobin's mom helped take care of the baby, while their dads provided food for the rest of the people staying around. Meanwhile, Soobin was there to take care of Yeonjun.

While, yes, Soobin could handle everything on his own. Still, the first few days were hell. Soobin was more than glad and grateful he had people supporting them left and right. He also knew, without their help, he wouldn't be able to focus on helping Yeonjun.

Though afterwards, everyone had to leave for their own business. The problem was an anomaly started when everyone left. And Soobin was a tad bit devastated.

Yeonjun was pumping that night while Soobin carried the baby and rocking him to sleep. While both were equally sleep deprived, they still tried their best to do everything for Yoojun. Soobin bit his lips, feeling lost when he saw Yeonjun with his stressed frown lines on his forehead, waiting for the pump to pull out the milk they needed for the baby the next day.

When the baby was finally asleep, Soobin finally put him down in the crib. He plopped to the bed, not long after Yeonjun stopped pumping too. The dark circles were prominent under his eyes and he couldn't wait to get a hint of that rest his body was demanding to have. Soobin stilled as he looked at the ceiling.

Though then, there's a spoiled vanilla scent from Yeonjun. When Soobin looked at his husband, he didn't sense any anger from his face nor sadness. To him though, he could tell something was uncomfortable for Yeonjun. So, it left Soobin confused. "Are you okay, dearest?"

There was no response from Yeonjun. Instead, a sigh escaped his lips as he closed his eyes. Still, he didn't look like he was asleep. Then, his face was colored with frustration and soon enough he sat back up. "I can't sleep," he said as he looked at Soobin. "You smell weird, like rubber."

Soobin's eyes widened as he pointed at himself. "Me?" If being completely honest, Soobin couldn't tell either. He had taken a shower so that mustn't be the problem. He was pretty sure his scent glands and his olfactory were working just fine too, and he could smell just a hint of his sandalwood that was not prominent at all. Soobin knew there was nothing in that room that could possibly smell rubbery so he didn't know where Yeonjun got that from.

Yeonjun nodded. "You- ugh," he grunted as he pinched his nose, "you smell so chemical. I hate it." He almost stood up, as if he was getting ready to sleep in the living room. But Soobin held his wrist.

"Wait," said Soobin. He didn't try to defend himself. Instead, Soobin took some scent blocker patches and placed it on his glands. He also sprayed the room with his perfume, albeit knowing the perfume was pretty expensive. When Yeonjun's vanilla smelled less rotten and his face softened as he breathed better, Soobin asked again, "Better now?"

"Yeah," mumbled Yeonjun coldly as he sat back on the mattress. When Soobin looked more relaxed, he sighed and slipped himself under the duvet. "Good night."

If being frank, Soobin would say he's a little sad. Something must be messed up in Yeonjun's nervous system to have him smelling things that weren't there. Still, there's not much he could do. He could ask Yeonjun to come along and consult with a doctor once things were better, but right then, they probably just needed sleep. He wished to hug Yeonjun then, but he didn't dare to move his limbs, afraid he'd break Yeonjun's sleep. Soobin curled himself, and teared himself a little to sleep.

The roller coaster hadn't ended yet apparently.

Soobin was washing the dishes the next morning. He finally had a sleep that was more than four hours that night, so he was somewhat alright. As he hummed and washed, suddenly Yoojun cried. Though before he turned his back, Yeonjun immediately ran from his breakfast and to Yoojun's nursery. Still, Soobin finished the washing as quickly as possible.

"Don't worry! I got him," yelled Yeonjun. He carried Yoojun out while rocking the baby slowly, singing little lullabies to soothe him. He was so tender, despite looking extremely exhausted.

Once Soobin dried his hands, he went after Yeonjun. "Just go eat your breakfast," he initiated, "I can carry him to sleep."

But Yeonjun pursed his lips. He took a glance at the child before looking back at Soobin. "I think he's hungry, Binnie," he replied, "I'll breastfeed him first before I finish my breakfast." He smiled as he walked away to sit on the couch.

Something about Yeonjun's dedication cracked something within Soobin. Of course, he knew Yeonjun loved their son more than everything. He knew that, of course, Yeonjun would put Yoojun first and prioritize him over everything in the world. Still, Soobin thought that Yeonjun might've forgotten to prioritize his needs to in the process. So, Soobin took Yeonjun's bowl and brought it to the couch.

While Yoojun was feeding from Yeonjun, Soobin sat beside Yeonjun. "You need to eat too, Junnie," he said, softly, "If there's no fuel, you can't put out anything. Let me feed you, okay?" When Yeonjun turned to him with no answer, he carefully placed a spoonful of rice into Yeonjun's mouth.

For a while, it went that way. Though Yeonjun's gaze would fall heavy on Soobin. At some point, when the bowl was almost empty and Yoojun was almost asleep, Yeonjun's breath shuddered suddenly. Tears started rolling on his cheeks.

"It's okay," he said, "I think something's happening with your body and it's taking a toll on you." He wiped the dried tears on Yeonjun's cheeks. "I love you," he reassured. He took Yeonjun's hand and held it tight. "I'll be here for you regardless."

Somehow, it worsened the next day.

Soobin had ten days of paid leave so he could stay at home all day and take care of the baby while Yeonjun was resting. Though the whole time, he was observing Yeonjun quietly too. His heart broke whenever he saw how restless Yeonjun seemed. So, he told Yeonjun to just rest for the day while he took care of the baby and the house and him.

Still, Yeonjun seemed like he was struggling to live normally. When he woke up, with his sunken cheeks and his greyish under eyes, he didn't seem happy at all. He didn't do his morning routine and just stayed in the bed to lie down and stare at the ceiling for an hour before doom scrolling for hours. Soobin didn't judge, but he was concerned at Yeonjun's well-being, so after he fed the baby with Yeonjun's frozen breastmilk, he fed Yeonjun on bed.

For the rest of the day, Yeonjun seemed to be moving like a ghost too. He moved his limbs like a zombie, almost like he had no desire to live at all. Soobin watched as Yeonjun only got up to wash his face with just water and change his clothes. It was strange, considering Yeonjun was the most intricate person when it came to body care.

Even worse, Soobin saw how Yeonjun constantly had brain fogs through out the day. Once, Yeonjun just stood in front of the fridge for minutes, staring at the door until he realized what he was about to do was to take a popsicle. Then after dinner, Yeonjun just sat at the living room couch, seemingly thinking hard before finally remembering that he wanted to watch the television. Then before they went to sleep, Yeonjun almost cried, claiming he'd lost his phone, when his phone turned out to be under his pillow the whole time.

That night too, Soobin sacrificed himself and slept in the living room couch. Initially, Yeonjun was the one who wanted to sleep outside, because Soobin's breathing was too loud for him and it irritated him. But Soobin couldn't possibly let Yeonjun rest on that cramped, rock-hard sofa, so Soobin decided he was the one to wake up with back ache and neck pain.

Throughout the week, Soobin's observation only resulted in noticing how Yeonjun's odd behaviors grew stranger every other day. Sometimes, Yeonjun's mood swings would vary in just a snap. Once, Yeonjun was laughing at a comedy show on the television, but the moment the screen was turned off, he suddenly cried because he's supposed to be in bed. In another occasion, Yeonjun panicked at how he was handling the baby while changing the diaper, before Soobin took over to do the exact same thing Yeonjun was doing, only slower. Thus, Soobin only grew more worried.

While Yeonjun was sleeping in the bedroom, Soobin took his time to think. He felt like he was on the edge there, not knowing how to help Yeonjun anymore. Sure, Yeonjun didn't refuse his help, but he was outright clueless on how to help Yeonjun anymore.

Soobin himself was also exhausted. He hadn't had an ounce of proper rest and he was bound to start working again in a few more days. He was afraid on how he'd have to juggle between working, taking care of Yeonjun and taking care of Yoojun. He knew Yeonjun had equal parts on taking care of Yoojun, but Yeonjun himself was at a concerning state that Soobin didn't have the heart to leave alone at home. Never once Soobin regretted marrying young and having a baby young, but it saddened him how burdening the whole situation was.

So, there went the last resort. Soobin was desperate. The number Soobin was dialing picked up quick thankfully. "Taehyun, I need your help."

"Sure, what's up?" Taehyun asked on the other end. He sounded sleepy, but what else was Soobin to expect when he called in the middle of the night? "Is everything alright, hyung?"

Soobin paused for a while. He bit his lips. "I don't know if this whole being a father and a husband is for me," he finally said, raw and truthful. "I love Yeonjun and Yoojun with my whole heart, but I'm so exhausted." He paused, feeling guilty for saying so, but he didn't know what else to say but the real honest thing from the depths of his mind. He sighed.

Taehyun didn't say a word for a while, listening to Soobin's rant. He only added a few 'ooh' and 'hmm' here and there. He stayed on the line while Soobin told Taehyun everything that had happened throughout the week. Then finally, "Soobin hyung."

"I don't know how to help Yeonjun anymore. It seems like he's spiraling worse and worse everyday. I feel like I'm totally helpless, all in all hopeless now." Soobin still continued to ramble. "And I'm sorry for calling you this late, but I have no other choice; I have no one to talk to about this. I'm so, so tired."

"Soobin hyung," repeated Taehyun. "I don't think I can help you either here." He paused. "I can listen to you all night, but I wouldn't be able to advise you anything helpful. I can share you a piece of my experience, but everyone experiences different things, hyung. I think you both need a doctor visit and a couple's therapy and maybe, a little bit of vacation." He sighed. "I suggest you schedule you a doctor's visit. Yeonjun hyung's symptoms didn't sound normal, and it could probably be baby blues that might develop into postpartum depression if not handled well."

Finally, it clicked with Soobin. Taehyun was right. He was glad his friend's logical input actually fit in some sense in his shrinking brain. How did he not think of going to the doctor? "You're right."

Taehyun clicked his tongue. "And I guess you also need to rest," he replied. "You've done so much for Yeonjun hyung and little Yoojunnie. You deserve to take a break too."

"How could I when Yeonjun's barely getting any?" Soobin was so stressed out. He could smell decay from his sandalwood and it made himself nauseous. He wanted to cry. "I just- I don't know what to do anymore. My poor Yeonjunnie is going through so much and I just feel useless. I feel like I'm losing him."

"Trust me you're not, hyung," interrupted Taehyun. "If you were, Yeonjun hyung would've gotten through so much worse. You're already helping him a lot. It's just you have your own limits too. You can't bend forever and expect not to break. You're just ordinary humans and it's only normal." He sighed again. "Besides, this is both of your first time being parents, no? This is something you can't expect to ace on your first try like a school exam. You can't ever be perfect and even having less flaws takes time." He stopped for a while, then, "Soobin hyung, you need to take care of yourself too. You won't be able to take care of Yeonjun hyung if you don't take care of yourself too."

Taehyun's words wrapped around Soobin's heart like ivy. It grew heavy and rooted within him, making Soobin feel seen all in a sudden. It finally was clear why Soobin was upset. Tears rolled down his cheeks, but he swallowed away the sobs. "Okay," he replied, finally. "Will do."

Soobin scheduled a doctor's visit after getting Yeonjun's approval the next morning. He decided it was best to ask from an expert on what's happening with Yeonjun. Perhaps, it was time to seek all the support he could get for Yeonjun.

Though Soobin couldn't account for the peak that was about to happen that day.

That day, Soobin still told Yeonjun to take a rest while he did all the housework and took care of Yoojun. Soobin washed the dishes, collected the laundry and cooked. He changed Yoojun's diaper, put him to sleep, and fed him with all the frozen bags of breastmilk. He'd let Yeonjun stay in bed more, but the state of his husband was much more concerning than the day prior.

Honestly, Soobin couldn't care less if Yeonjun woke up late. Maybe, he was even glad that Yeonjun was getting all the rest he could get. Still, when Yeonjun woke up at noon, still looking incredibly exhausted, Soobin could feel his heart broken.

For the whole day too, Yeonjun refused to eat at all. Soobin offered him his cooking, which was Yeonjun's favorite ramen, but Yeonjun straight up said no and said it didn't look appetizing. While Soobin didn't take the jab to the heart, he still offered Yeonjun other meals but Yeonjun said he wasn't hungry. It was driving Soobin insane how Yeonjun actively avoided foods, even his favorite mint chocolate ice cream Soobin had stocked up and offers of ordering his favorite burgers and soda. It's crazy how drastic Yeonjun's apetite drop was, especially considering Yeonjun had always been a food enthusiast.

So, in desperate measures, Soobin force fed Yeonjun with caloric dense drink he formulated specifically to Yeonjun's liking. He had no choice but to blend an absurd amount of things into milk, just so Yeonjun could drink his needs in one go. Still, it wasn't enough to fulfill Yeonjun's need, but his early satiety made Soobin unable to feed Yeonjun anymore.

That night, Soobin wondered if his efforts would go in vain. He kept on trying his best. Still, a part of him was clouded with fear.

Yeonjun finally asked Soobin to sleep in the bedroom again that night. He said something about the strange emptiness made the mattress dip weird and the warmth wasn't right without Soobin. Though then he plugged his ears with earbuds blasting pop rock and asked Soobin to double his scent blocker patches with band aids to not let his scent seep through even a bit.

Soobin only agreed. He didn't want to do anything that could possibly worsen Yeonjun's condition. So, he complied. It's not like he had problems with complying to Yeonjun ever before.

On the bed, they both stayed quiet for a while that night. Usually, they'd be all over each other, cuddling and snuggling and whatnot. Soobin did miss those times where he could just embrace Yeonjun in their sleep, but it seemed like it wasn't possible just yet then. So, he just gave Yeonjun as much space as he could then, until Yeonjun was ready. Besides, that struggle had existed since the days where Yeonjun's pregnancy became too prominent for them to hug in their sleep, so Soobin was kind of used to it, no matter how much he longed for the embrace.

Then, came in the bomb. Yeonjun unplugged his earbuds, and turned to Soobin. "Hey," he said. He held his stomach. "I'm bloating."

When Yeonjun turned, Soobin turned too. He looked at Yeonjun and blinked, puzzled. "You are?"

"Yeah, I guess I'm getting fat and ugly," stated Yeonjun so boldly. Before Soobin got a chance to respond, he turned to look at the ceiling. "Sometimes, I think if I'm worth fighting for at all. I'm neither pretty nor good enough as a father. I'm not that smart nor am I rich. I don't think my life is worth a place in this earth. I feel like I'm a waste of space, taking up so much without giving anything." He huffed, dryly.

Each word that came out of Yeonjun's mouth shocked Soobin. Soobin never knew Yeonjun had ever felt that way. It's then when Soobin realized how messed up Yeonjun's state was. He had always known, just he didn't think it would go that far. How could Yeonjun even ever think that way?

To Soobin, Yeonjun was the only breathtaking being that ever existed on earth. Soobin would run lengths just for Yeonjun, because to him, there's nothing in the world that's more precious than Yeonjun was. His fondness towards Yeonjun knew no boundaries and it scared him how Yeonjun didn't know loved he was, nor if he deserved that much love at all when he really did.

Soobin couldn't hold back anymore. Tears rolled down his cheeks and to his pillow covers but he couldn't care less. "Yeonjun."

Yeonjun turned. He looked at Soobin with a blank stare. His eyes were glassy too. The scent of vanilla gradually grew bitter in the air.

"You're not," said Soobin finally. He paused and sat up. He had enough. "You're not getting fat and even if you were, you'll never be ugly. You're so pretty, my Yeonjun, and you will always be. I told you that you will still be pretty regardless of age and I'd still love you when if we're old and wrinkly with back pain and I meant every single word." His breath shuddered. "You've always been worth fighting for and I'll always do for you, like I've always done so. You deserve all the wonderful things in the world and- and I'd give everything I could for you."

When Yeonjun bit his lips, Soobin continued, "Yeonjun, you're bright, kind, and lovely. You're warm, beautiful, and caring. You're considerate and generous and hardworking. You're everything the world could never be, because you're you; you're the beautiful you that needed not to be spotless to be perfect." Soobin reached Yeonjun's face. "And I love you with my whole heart. I don't think I could ever not. I don't think I want to ever stop. You've given so much, so, so much, and you deserve to be loved too." His thumb against Yeonjun's cheek, but the touch brushed against Yeonjun's heart.

"Binnie," whispered Yeonjun weakly. He held Soobin by the wrist. "Why?"

"I don't think I need a reason to love you. You just deserve to be loved. It's innate for me to love you." Gently, he pressed a kiss on Yeonjun's lips. It's been so long since he kissed Yeonjun, and perhaps that little touch was what Soobin truly needed.

That's when Yeonjun broke. His sobs tore through his chest and his arms circled around Soobin's nape. He buried his face on Soobin's chest when Soobin turned them so Soobin could spoon Yeonjun.

Tenderly, Soobin held his husband. His hands rubbed slowly on Yeonjun's back, letting Yeonjun know that he was there, that he got Yeonjun. He rested his chin on top of Yeonjun's head. "It's okay," he muttered, repeatedly, letting Yeonjun cry his heart out. It went for a while until Yeonjun's cries reduced into stuttering sobs. "Dearest?" What's making you feel this way?

"I'm sorry, Binnie," apologized Yeonjun. "I must've been too much to you." He stifled. "I just- I really don't know why I'm like this. I'm so, so sorry."

Soobin knew it was not Yeonjun's fault. He knew Yeonjun wouldn't want to burden Soobin on purpose. He knew that Yeonjun loved him too, with all his might. "No, don't be," he said. "You're not too much."

They stayed like that for a while. Yeonjun leaned his head against Soobin's chest. Soobin's fingers threaded Yeonjun's hair. Something warm seeped into their skins as their limbs were tangled with one another's.

When the vanilla scent slowly became less bitter, Soobin pressed a kiss on top of Yeonjun's head. "I love you," he said as he cupped Yeonjun's face. He knew Yeonjun knew but still he needed to declare it, because Yeonjun needed to hear it then. "My dearest, Yeonjun."

"Thank you," murmured Yeonjun. "Thank you for loving me, even at my lowest, even when I don't deserve it at times." He gulped. "I love you too, Binnie. I really do."

"I know." Soobin smiled. He placed a kiss on Yeonjun's temple. Something tender was with Yeonjun's temple and Soobin wanted to devote himself to be in Yeonjun's temple. "Thank you for loving me too."

Soobin paused for a while. "Yeonjun," he started. "Sometimes there are things we cannot solve by ourselves. I think your emotions right now has something to do with it. Let's get help to understand more about your feelings tomorrow, okay?"

Yeonjun gulped. When Soobin moved his hands to slip their fingers together, he squeezed Soobin's hands. "Okay."

"But you have to know," said Soobin, "that I'll always have you. I got you, Junnie. I always do."

Yeonjun nodded. "You got me too," he replied, softly. "And Yoojunnie."

"And Yoojunnie," parroted Soobin. He grinned, much more peacefully then. "Now rest, we still have a long day ahead of us tomorrow." Soobin pressed another kiss on Yeonjun's temple. He loved Yeonjun. He truly did. "Good night, my Yeonjun."

Drawing stars on Soobin's chest, Yeonjun smiled. He snuggled on Soobin's neck. Somehow, Soobin's breathing didn't feel too loud and he didn't smell like rubber anymore. The warmth was all Yeonjun needed to sleep. "Good night, my prince."

And things didn't get better in a snap. Still, they had to take their time to process, even after the appointments by appointments. But then, there was nothing they needed to be worried of so much more.

The parental life wasn't the easiest, but they were figuring it out as time went by.

They got each other and that was all they needed to know: that Soobin had Yeonjun and Yeonjun would always have Soobin too. That they were home together and that's enough. Still, there were lots to face in the world, but with each other's hand to hold, nothing seemed too impossible to face. And that was enough.
