The sky was shifting to the deep purple of late evening. The mountains faintly haloed by the last lines of pale pink sunlight. Treetops rustled in the faint breeze that carried the last of the early summer heat. Leah felt overwhelming relief as the front of the cabin lit in her headlights. Eagerly she parked the Jeep and cut the engine, leaving her front door dark again. Her exhausted mind wanted nothing but to lie on the couch wrapped tightly in Des’ protective hold. Swapping sleepy affection until he eventually ushered them to bed.
It wasn't until she swung the driver side door open that she realized: there was no light in the kitchen window. The entire cabin was dark and silent. Meaning Des wasn't home yet. Typically he was inside just before she’d pull up. Sat at the kitchen table or sprawled on the couch waiting for her. Ready to listen to her recount the exciting events of her shift or vent about how her patience was tested. But this wasn’t a first either. Leah stepped onto the packed dirt path filing through her keys. Sure he was only a moment or two behind and she’d been gifted a new token for her troubles.
She wondered just what he'd found to keep him as she walked to the front door. Picturing just where she'd put her new gift with each casual step. There was still space on the mantle if she remembered correctly. Her key hovered just inside the lock, silently excited about imaginary trinkets.
“Ten seconds, Starlight.”
A chill ran down her spine as his breath tickled her ear. The usual rumble of his voice pitched even lower. Every syllable dark, purposeful, hungry. She never heard him approach or saw him when she'd pulled up. Her mind’s eye filled him into the shadows of the trees just out of sight. Watching her, undressing her with every single step. Plotting every single thing he was going to do to her. Leah swallowed around the lump that gathered in her throat. Eyes still focused on the door.
“Ten…” A tease.
“Sunshine, I-” She started, he didn't let her finish.
“Nine…” A promise.
Leah’s heart thrummed in her ears. The teeth of her keys dug into her fingers. “D-Des-”
“Eight…” A warning.
Adrenaline spiked in her veins, her boots scuffled on the dirt, the treeline whipped past her. Somewhere along the way her keys had fallen from her fingers. Her face burned and her breath stung the further her run took her. Night made the path ahead hard to see but she knew where it led. Each rock and root she stepped over had her looking over her shoulder. Searching the darkness for his glowing yellow eyes. Listening for any signs he was already closing in on her. Leah knew him and this game more than enough to know she couldn't outrun him. At least not forever.
It was never a matter of IF he would catch her. It was WHEN.
Leah staggered and tilted to press herself against the trunk of a looming pine. Struggling to keep her breath quiet enough to listen around her. She swallowed hard, peaking through her lashes into the stillness around her. The forest was quiet except the rustling breeze above her. Her racing mind filled in the empty spaces with Des. Visions of him rushing out of the treeline and pinning her beneath him. The phantom of his erection pressed against her. Her core clenched at the very thought.
The silence broke with the sound of the brush shaking just behind her. Leah nearly tripped into her renewed sprint. Her mud caked boots slid her several inches before finding purchase again. Running like hell toward the break in the trees she knew would be there. In between her heavy breaths she swore Des’ clicks and growls circled her. Herding her exactly where he wanted.
Leah, her body humming with adrenaline, broke into the clearing. Moonlight threw every blade of grass in pale silver light. The whispered breeze brushed her hot face and ruffled through her hair. Just yards away from the center of the field she saw him. Des rushed her from the right, covering the distance between them in seconds. Leah hardly had time to come to a complete stop before he descended on her.
As he made contact his arm wrapped tight around her midriff. Pulling her back against his chest. His momentum sent the two of them hurtling to the ground. Leah shrieked as they fell and it echoed across the empty clearing. For the briefest moment he simply held her. Listening to her breathing heavily and feeling her thrill drunk body shake against him. His own pulse still thundered in his chest. He let out a long clicking chuckle as he shifted over top of her. Caging her body with his.
He had a prize to claim.
With a small whimper she followed his motion. Turning over to lie prone, face pressed into the grass by his oppressive mass. Impatiently he looped his arm across her hips and tugged. Pulling her to her knees and molding her hips back against his. Teeth dug into her lip at the muffled press of his cock through her obstructing clothes. Pulling free with a gasp when his deft fingers tore at the fabric barrier. With a pop of seams Des pulled her free of her shorts. Tugging them with another chorus of popping off her entirely and flinging them away.
His tongue drank in her scent with a rumbling, lustful trill. The sight of her bent over before him, fingers flexing through the grass in anticipation had his dick aching for contact. His hand dipped between her thighs to cup her. Fingers sliding through her soaking folds with ease. She writhed under his frantic touch, pushing her hips back into his palm in a silent plea for friction. Des withdrew his fingers instead. Causing a desperate whine to escape Leah. There was the faint rustle of fabric then his entirety loomed over her again. Palm pushed against her hip and the faint brush of his tresses along her back.
He snapped his hips forward and buried himself completely in her. Leah’s gasp carried across the clearing. Eyes rolling back at the dizzyingly intense stretch. Des’ hand flattened on her back just behind her neck, keeping her pinned to the dirt. He pulled back just enough to drive himself into her again. Immediately setting a vicious and breathless rhythm to fuck her to. Leah’s fingers curled into the grass. Rocking forward with a moan each time their hips slapped against each other.
Des’ fingers slid up to wrap tightly around the back of her neck. Pushing her further into the field. Leaning closer to breathe against her ear. Grunts slowly shifted to a feverish chant. “Mine. Mine! Mine!” Louder and with increasing urgency as he tensed. Losing the rhythm entirely in the desire to reach the edge he was teetering over. One final snap of his hips to push into her as far as he could. An unrestrained, guttural growl muffled her moan as she orgasmed alongside him. The flutter of her walls around him pulled more cum out of him than ever before.
Leah’s ears rang with her thunderous pulse. Dirt caked under her nails and grass stains on her hands. She swallowed hard and took a shuddering breath through her nose. Mouth opened to speak before Des’ hand gripped her shoulder. All that she managed was a surprised hiccup when he sharply pulled her back. Arm wrapping around her shoulders as he rocked back until he sat upright. Holding her flush to his chest. “D-Des?!” She stammered around the daze of his cock shifting inside her. The rough relocation promoted the realization that he was still hard.
His tongue traced a long line from her shoulder, up her neck, and just below her ear. Breathing hard against her ear he suddenly thrust up into her. “More.” He panted, moving his hand to clutch at her hip. Leah’s arms frantically reached back to clasp around the back of his head. Holding herself upright as he completely lost himself in her. Eyes clamped shut as she moaned hoarsely. Existence melted away all around her. Her wired body abandoning all sensation outside of pleasure. Nonsense and what could have sounded like his name tumbling out of her mouth.
In the sex fueled daze she didn't notice his hand move at first. Then all at once every nerve in her body lit as his fingers pressed to her clit. Her head tilted back to rest roughly against his shoulder. Shaking violently against him in a cry that died in the air. Vision burned white in the corners as she felt him thrust one final time. Growling into her shoulder low and primal as he came again.
Several long, heaving breath filled moments passed. Leah blinked rapidly to the sky trying to clear her vision. Overworked nerves slowly winding down and bringing sensations back with them. The warmth of the early summer breeze. The sounds of the darkened forest around them. And the feeling of Des very carefully running his fingers over her skin. Not enough to try and pull her back into the carnal embrace. His touch was delicate, meticulously pausing at certain spots before moving along. Checking to see if she was hurt in any way. They trailed slowly over her elbow to circle around her wrist. Holding there as he very slowly shifted again. Lying them both on their sides in the rustling grass.
“Leah?” He finally managed once his breath evened out. Slowly she nodded, threading her fingers in his. “I'm alright, Sunshine. Just need a few more minutes.” She croaked quietly. His grip tightened on her and, with an affirming nod from Leah, gingerly he pulled himself free from her. Leah exhaled shakily, feeling his seed oozing lazily out of her and onto the grass below. He nuzzled her hair apologetically. “Got carried away.” He muttered. Guilt for his abandonment of his senses heavy in his voice.
Leah chuckled breathily, turning her head to look back at him. “I’m not about to complain.” The dirt under her nails could be washed away, and the seams in her shorts could be resewn. Nothing would ever make her regret playing this game- being with him in this way. Quietly they lay together in the buzzing afterglow. Des’ fingers trailing gentle lines on her arm as they breathed deeply together.
Suddenly Leah sat up on her elbow. Panicked as she remembered the start of their game. “Fuck! My keys!” She shouted. Frantically searching the grass for her shorts and retracing her path in her mind. Hoping they'd find them somewhere back toward the cabin. A soft jingling behind her caught her attention. She turned her head to see Des holding his hand up towards her. Her keys clutched between his thumb and forefinger. Shaking them toward her in satisfaction. Leah visibly relaxed with a chuckle.
“Thank you Sunshine.” She reached for them but he quickly snatched them back. Earning a very confused and annoyed stare from her. He rattled the keys in his palm gently. Looking up at her with a mischievous glint in his eyes.
“Ten seconds, Starlight.”
