Spring break arrived at its prime weather. The students flocked out of their classes like doves, study material ranging from math to social sciences easily forgotten and stored in bags – they wouldn’t open these books again until the final night of freedom.
For now, the last bell rang.
Naruto’s trainers made his feet sweat in the blaring heat. Having been stuck in a classroom with no air conditioner made him wonder – just where were the college funds that he worked shifts at takeaways to pay off go to?
This same heat caused some students to pass a sick note and claim medical for their absence on the final day. Anko-sensei was pissed at the surge of students collapsing at her door, unable to handle a little heat. She slapped ice packs and water bottles and sent them on their way.
None of them made their way back to class.
He dumped his bags onto the bench, loosening his knot on his trainers and taking them off his feet, slipping his socks off too. In relief, his toes stuck out. There was barely any breeze, but it was heaven, surely, without the fabric suffocating his flesh.
He would have to get used to the warm conditions, his future including teaching a bunch of kids sports so he would be expected to endure wearing trainers all day in the summer.
A text buzzed his phone.
Dobe, come over — Sasuke.
It was silly, the ways his feet flapped up and down a little at the message.
Naruto was so hot that he didn’t bother to put his shoes back on – with his socks and shoes in hand, his feet absorbed the scolding ground and soft, burning grass. With all the students busy planning their vacations, travels back to their parents, he didn’t get that much looks as he went to Sasuke’s dorm.
But he did when he actually arrived at the door.
It always made Naruto pout that he and Sasuke weren’t roommates as it took a further distance to reach his end of the campus.
Clearly, this structure of student flats were the better quality one, those extra yen on rent included personal gyms and better room space. Sasuke got an entire room to himself, meanwhile Naruto shared with Kiba, who broke the rules about having dogs in the rooms.
“Sasuke, you can stop that moody face of yours in there, your boyfriend’s here.” From the hallway Suigetsu called out.
Then, he looked at exposed feet. “Nice feet you got there, you going to paint them next? Make it all glittery for him?”
By his side Jugo, calmer than a dry day. “We should go, Karin’s waiting.”
“Fucks sake, that crazy girl don’t leave us alone, surprised Sasuke is nice enough not to turn her down.” Suigetsu complained.
Naruto’s hands were at the door, now his hands felt sweaty at those words.
He knew Sasuke was the most attractive guy on the campus and all the omegas and woman sent him daily notes, messages, in hopes of a date, a kiss.. and to Naruto’s upset, they simply wanted to get fucked by him.
Seems Naruto’s jealousy was detected by Suigetsu. “Don’t worry,” he sent a bit of a smirk, “he makes sure you get majority of his time.”
A mortified Naruto turned his head as his alpha’s door flew open.
Having heard every word, Sasuke’s scent was a flying rock, displeased. “Shut up. Naruto, get in here.”
Strong hands gripped his and pulled him in, slamming the door shut to a bumbling Naruto.
Sasuke looked right down to Naruto’s feet, that made the boy want to hide them and cover his toes, especially.
“He was.. just joking.” He awkwardly put his shoes down.
Okay, so the small dominance in Sasuke’s scent made the omega feel like falling into his arms.
When they first stated dating, a year ago, he had more to say, to protest, at the alpha display. He simply got used to it, and these past few days especially, it simmered something in his gut. Always when he was around Sasuke for some reason.
Still, Suigetsu’s words did.. make him think.
Sasuke has banged omegas before. He had a relationship, very briefly, with Sakura, a pretty girl with hair like a flower. Even Naruto found her so pretty and he was an omega. So.. Sasuke had experience.
He broke up with Sakura very quickly after their few week relationship and shocked Naruto, who nearly spilled the food he was eating at the time, when he asked him out on a date.
He wasn’t sure if it was a proper date, Sasuke just took his hand the moment Naruto said a baffled “Sure?” and took him to his dorm room.
Suigetsu’s jaw dropped because this was the first time Sasuke brought an omega to his dorm room. Usually omegas would preen at his doors and he’d let them enter for a pussy pounding – why should he do any of the chasing, Sasuke would simply think.
“Don’t think about what he says.” Sasuke tamed any doubts when his tongue teased Naruto’s bottom lip.
That mouth hesitated, Naruto pulled away just enough for their mouths not to meld any further. “Sasuke…”
He didn’t have Naruto’s mouth, but that didn’t stop Sasuke from going to press kisses on his neck.
Naruto flushed. He was always so forward, but they never, and Sasuke never, went anything beyond cuddles and kisses.
And he couldn’t, wasn’t brave enough to just ask if he wanted more. He gave him less than half than what Sakura gave him.
Sensing Naruto’s lack of enthusiasm , Sasuke pulled away.
He held Naruto by the waist, holding him. “Come stay at mine for the break.”
His blue eyes could have popped out. Sasuke’s place..? Wasn’t an Alpha inviting an omega to the home a clear invite for sex…
“I’m so messy, you want to - me to live with - you?” Naruto went straight for the lamest excuse. Sasuke knew how messy he was. It wasn’t something he could really change about Naruto. “And what about your parents, what will they say.”
Sasuke’s hands held him a tad tighter. “You’ve met my family before.”
However, that was several months ago. He met Mikoto who was really nice and made him food like he was a starving pet. Fugaku was scary but the scariest person was Sasuke’s older brother who didn’t talk that much like Fugaku either.
“I want too…” Naruto suddenly added, softly. “Of course I do…” it was a good sign about their relationship that Sasuke even introduced him to his family.
“Then be packed by tonight. I’ll sort out our ride.” Sasuke, clearly pleased, gave another kiss on Naruto’s lips, just a brief peck, arms loosening his hold on Naruto altogether.
Naruto was packed, he just stuffed two weeks worth of clothes into a large rucksack.
“Here, take this,” Kiba threw a condom at him.
He was a beta – college campuses were only getting slightly more modern that omegas weren’t totally segregated, but the core rule still stands. Alphas and omegas don’t share dorm rooms, ever. They can’t stop couples from having sex but they surely didn’t want some sexual assault or harassment law suit and police investigation at the college.
Modernisation doesn’t change the nature of ruts and heats – they’d be in deep shit if an alpha lost control over a heat that triggered every primal instinct.
“What the fuck,” the condom slapped his head, falling to the ground. “Kiba, jesus, who was this for?”
“Hinata…” Naruto kicked the condom further away. The sight was giving him the shudders.
“Her cousin will kill you if you get anywhere past clothes.” It was a fact that Neji was hugely protective of the honour of a girl he saw as his own little sister. He spent more time dedicated to keeping her safe from hungry eyes, than he was spotted in his own study.
“If I was an alpha, I wouldn’t even get close to her clothes,” Kiba actually picked the condom up, dangling it in front of Naruto. “It’s just in case anyways.. to be safe.. an all.. yeah I listened in sex ed, alright.”
“Its weird,” the omega found it to cause him discomfort. “You’ll freak her out keeping that in your pockets.”
“Bet Sasuke has a load stacked in his draw whenever you visit,” Kiba laughed.
“No he doesn’t.”
The words came quick from the omega. So he hasn’t checked his draws, why would he? But no way he just has those lying around.
Naruto secured his bag tighter like that was his confirmation that he knew exactly what Sasuke thought in his head.
“Just take it, Naruto, you never know.. you and Sasuke at his house..? Things could get heated.” For some reason, Kiba sounded too sure of himself that the outcome would be sex.
This made Naruto quick to refute that. “You know… Sasuke’s actually a cuddler.”
Kiba only saw Naruto’s behaviour as a typical shy, omega virgin. He was just being a good friend by helping his friend prepare for the most likely outcome.
Naruto’s phone called, the ring tune he spent years used to suddenly made his shoulders jump.
“I’m outside,” Sasuke said simply.
“I’m coming! Right away..” Naruto clicked the end button and in his rush, he swatted Kiba away, not wanting to see that rubbish.
“You’re not even on the pill are you, man?”
That did it. In a moment in insanity, he seized the condom up in his hands, opened his zip and shoved it in the deepest end of his bag, right at the bottom.
“Just to prove you wrong, this’ll still be closed when I’m back!”
The taxi was not the standard small taxis Naruto had to squeeze himself in where the drivers seat locked right to the back so his legs could barely move and he was almost squashed towards the window.
There was no carvings of a taxi company details either, usually a number at the back or even the address of their site.
He was bundled into the car. Sasuke took his belongings and a man with black, sort of wavy hair, short, came out to secure the bags into the boot.
“Taxi drivers are getting better at customer service.. aren’t they..” Naruto said, a bit confused as he got in.
“That’s my cousin,” Sasuke secured Naruto’s seat belt in because Naruto wasn’t going to be eager to do so.
“Wait.. you have a personal driver!?” Naruto’s voice came out loud, then he shut his mouth.
The man gave just one second look towards him, then looked forward to set the car into the first gear.
This car was clearly the latest model, with the fancy air con, clean screens, charger pots, modern, silk seats, regularly maintained by its spot of cleanliness, not even a crump around, or a patch of old dust.
Of course, he already knew that Sasuke was from a very rich family. His tuition fees were pre paid for in advance since he applied for college in the first place. The first in line of rich students that had the luxury not to get student loans and debt added to their name.
Naruto would be working his college funds off for years after graduation.
Sasuke put his own seatbelt on, always cautious of safety.
“ I could have just made my own way,”Naruto’s nervousness kicked in, aware that the hoodies he wore or even the cost of all his trains to see his mom and dad is nothing compared to how much money Sasuke probably had stacked up in a old trust fund account, set by his parents that he’s got sole access to now.
The alpha did not agree to the idea of that.“ It’s not something you need to worry about. You’re mine.”
The seat underneath Naruto suddenly felt heated at the words. “D-don’t say it like that..”
His alpha looked towards the driver seat. “Cousin, stop by the shops halfway.” He got a nod from Shisui.
Naruto budged his body as much as he could underneath black seatbelt. “The shops..?”
Sasuke’s black eyes turned to him. “You’re always going on about ramen.. I don’t want you whining for two weeks because you’re without it.”
“Will you try some with me?” Naruto’s heart nearly burst from the kindness.
His slight nerves cooled. Sasuke’s hands still went to keep holding his arms, thumb gently stroking his wrist.
”Since you won’t keep quiet until I do.” It was said with a tad held back affection, making Naruto smile slightly.
