Chapter Text
A birthday cake for the birthday boy!
Ingredients:
1 cup of water
1/2 cup of vegetable oil (Borrowed from Reality Restaurant---BRING BACK WHEN RECIPE IS FINISHED!)
3 eggs (Chicken eggs! NOT SHIMMER EGGS!!!)
1 bag of Betty Crocker Chocolate Cake mix
Materials:
Oven (If home oven isn't working, use Reality Restaurant's oven! Taco, TK, and the other workers there probably won't mind)
13"x9" Metal/Glass pan or nonstick pan
Mixer
Steps:
-----------------
Step One:
Heat oven to 350 degrees F for a metal/glass pan, or 325 degrees F for a nonstick pan and grease pan so the cake won't stick to it again
(Don't have a repeat of Bot's previous birthday!)
Step Two:
Pour cake mix into bowl, followed by the water, vegetable oil, and eggs (See ingredients!)
Beat on medium speed with mixer for two minutes (If mixer is broken, don't stop what you're doing and fix it in your lab! Just beat it by hand!)
Pour into pan
Step Three:
Put pan into oven and bake for 28-33 minutes. If pan is nonstick, add 3-5 more minutes to wait
Wait 10 minutes for cake to cool down
-----------------
While waiting for the cake to bake and cool down, you can do this:
Make Fan another birthday gift or get well card!
Make sure Bot has their card and gift
Collect any other gift that Lightbulb forgot to give you to give to Fan
Go for a quick shopping spree to get Fan's birthday plates and utensils
To decorate:
Spread chocolate frosting (Fan's favorite) over the cake
Write how old he's turning this year (29 years young)
Get Bot to draw little designs on the cake using a small piping bag (She was always the most artistic out of the family)
Five red and yellow candles to match Fan's colors
IMPORTANT NOTE: DO NOT LIGHT CANDLES IN HOSPITAL! DR. FIZZ AND SALT WILL YELL AT YOU!
To set up Fan's birthday party:
Organize the three plates and forks around his hospital room (***Fan is too weak to hold up a plate with a cake on it, so you or Bot will need you to help him***)
Give Fan, Bot, and yourself a little part hat (***Be careful about the Fan's tubes connected to him***)
Place his gifts to the side of the table, and undo the wrapping paper for him as well
SING HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO HIM!! This may be his first birthday in the hospital, but make it the best one! Show him he's strong for surviving this long, and give him a reason to continue being strong!
