Work Text:

Nod-Krai has been more of a peaceful place in recent times, but the Wild Hunt had a sudden surge of activity, sending many Lightkeepers and Knights stationed in the region out into the darkness to fend off these disturbances. Illuga is one of many that set out, charging to the front lines to protect his allies and fight off the Wild Hunt.

The night is long, the battle throwing out waves of enemies that seem to never end. As time stretches on, the wails and groans of the abyssal monsters grow louder and more frenzied. Illuga is in the middle of it all, plunging his polearm into these beasts and killing them with relative ease.

Some time passes before the last of the enemies are downed, their bodies vanishing into thin air. Illuga scouts around the area after this, making sure that everything is taken care of, and that there are no other instances of the Wild Hunt nearby before taking a moment to regain his stamina and head back to camp.

On his way back, he looks over at the horizon, the sun just barely peeking over by this point. Aside from a few mandragoras making some noise along the early stretch of the journey, the trek back is mostly quiet, putting Illuga at ease. As the captain of a Lightkeeper squad, there's always work to be done. Patrols to go on, the Wild Hunt to fight off, making food for his squad, and so on, so it's a nice treat to enjoy a peaceful morning stroll like this.

At some point along the way, however, he becomes alerted to the faint sounds of fighting in the distance, and begins to head off in search of the source of the noise instead. The Wild Hunt is an extremely dangerous phenomenon, and it's the Lightkeepers' duty to take them out as soon as possible, keeping the people of Nod-Krai safe.

As Illuga turns past a rocky hill in front of him, he finally sees the source of the noise he's been tracking. Up ahead is the Wild Hunt, which he expected, but what he didn't expect was how thin the numbers were, putting that thought to the back of his mind for now. As he readies himself for battle, a figure slowly fades in from the distant fog, throwing themself into the remaining enemies with force. A polearm stabs one monster into the floor, while the figure's knife slices through the other, and both of the bodies dissipate into the fresh morning air. Not lowering his guard yet, Illuga approaches the scene, finally getting a better look at who it was that just fought off those monsters.

The figure was wearing a Knights of Favonius uniform, slightly dirtied by blood and grime, and was accompanied by minty colored hair. Illuga immediately recognized the figure as Lohen, Vice Captain of the Knights of Favonius Fifth Company, and felt a little more at ease as he walked closer to him.

Before Illuga could speak, Lohen heard him approaching, and turned to greet him first.

"Well, if it isn't little Birdie, shouldn't you be out patrolling right now?" Lohen asks cheerfully, wiping off the blood from his weapons. Illuga watches as he does that, putting his own weapon away.

"Well, I was. The Wild Hunt has been unusually active tonight, and I just fought off some of them as well. While I was heading back to camp, I heard a lot of noises coming from over here and came to check it out," Illuga replies.

"Not even a thank you? I'm so hurt! I just wiped the floor with these guys and the first thing you do is talk about how loud it was," Lohen pouts, putting his weapons away too.

"...Thank you. I appreciate the help. Are you injured? I can take a look if needed, we have medical supplies back at my camp," Illuga says, noticing that Lohen looks a little messy after his encounter with the Wild Hunt.

"It's just a few nicks and scratches, nothing that'll kill me," Lohen answers, examining the damage done to his uniform.

"Are you sure? It looked like you were fighting so recklessly, surely it won't hurt for me to take a look?" Illuga insists. He's lost too many people in his past to be negligent about any injuries, no matter how minor and trivial they may seem.

"Alright, fine, fine. Whatever helps you sleep at night," Lohen resigns, not willing to argue with him any longer.

Illuga quickly scans over Lohen's body, looking more closely at all the places where his uniform was torn, and sees a large gash down his back. It's not bleeding, so he must have gotten this earlier into the night. The sight of this was concerning to Illuga, how was such an injury not seeming to bother the knight at all?

"You're very much hurt, please, let me take you to camp so I can tend to your wounds. It's my duty as a Lightkeeper to make sure that the people around me are taken care of," Illuga says very sternly.

"If it isn't getting in the way of me fighting enemies, then it really doesn't matter, but alright, Birdie. If you insist," Lohen complies, knowing that he's not going to be let off the hook that easily.

The two head to Cliffwatch Peak, where Illuga's camp is stationed. It's still early, so only a few of the other Lightkeepers are awake, exhausted from the night's attacks. Illuga makes his way over to a Moonwagon near the outskirts of the camp, opening the side to search for the right medical supplies. While Illuga is busy with that, Lohen is taking in the sights of this place. He has been out here before, but never really stopped to admire the scenery.

The camp is well-lit by the lighthouse above, dispelling darkness in the vicinity. Out in the distance, far past all the rocky walls is a giant purple eye. He wonders if it's alive, interested if he could kill it, but puts the thought away for now. Turning back to the camp, he watches Illuga from a short distance as he's still preparing some things.

He hasn't paid much attention to the finer details of Illuga's appearance, but takes the time to note little things about him. The large red, cross-like earring is striking, mixing well with the dark red underside of his hair. As Lohen's gaze is fixed near his neck, he notices the large scar running down it as well, curious as to where he got that from. As he's thinking about it, Illuga seems to have finished gathering what he needs, and calls Lohen over.

Lohen enters the Moonwagon with him, and sits down on the table inside. It's a little bit cramped, but it doesn't really bother him. Once they're both inside, Illuga shuts the side door behind them.

"Okay, I need to disinfect and wrap your injuries, so could you let me take a look again at them? There's a smaller cut on your arm, and then a large one on your back," Illuga states, looking at Lohen.

Lohen nods, taking off his coat and rolling up his sleeve so that Illuga can access the wound. Promptly, Illuga starts applying disinfectant to the cut, which makes Lohen's body tense up barely, but he isn't bothered by it. He's used to this sort of thing since he enjoys getting into fights, and occasionally ends up with a small injury or two on the battlefield. Lohen fixes his gaze on Illuga again, who is intensely focused on his arm. He watches as Illuga grabs some of the bandages from the ground next to him, and wraps up the wound delicately. He hums as he ties the wrap down, before looking up at Lohen again.

"I hope that didn't sting all too much?" Illuga questions thoughtfully.

"Not at all, it felt a little ticklish at worst," Lohen replies, inspecting the bandages Illuga had just applied. The wrap was firm but not stiff, and it still felt comfortable to move as he had been doing before.

"Could you turn around now? I still need to tend to your back," Illuga says. He isn't particularly in a rush, but still feels a need to get this done quickly so he can return to his other duties.

Lohen nods, shifting his position on the table so he is facing opposite to Illuga, taking off his shirt so that Illuga could access the injury. Illuga examines it for a moment before grabbing the disinfectant again, concerned, but a little bit amazed at how someone could act completely fine with an injury of this size.

Lohen is busy staring out of the tiny window on the back of the Moonwagon, eager to get himself back into action once Illuga is done taking care of him. He finds this quite tedious, but appreciates the care still. It's quiet in the vehicle, aside from the sounds of shuffling and other quiet noises as Illuga readies his utensils to work.

Illuga's hand touches Lohen's back, keeping the skin there steady so he could apply the disinfectant, and Lohen jumps at the sudden, cold sensation.

"Your hands are so cold, Birdie," Lohen comments.

"Sorry, sorry! I took off my gloves for this. Is it bothering you?" Illuga replies.

"Nah, I just wasn't expecting it. I'm fine," Lohen says, yawning.

"Alright. I'll try to get this done quick, I'd feel bad if I wasted too much of your time," Illuga says before using his other hand to pick up a cotton swab.

It's got a cooling sensation, and it feels nice to Lohen, as Illuga wipes the edges of the cut with it. Reaching the bottom of the cut, however, by accident, Illuga puts a little more pressure into it than before. This gets a reaction out of Lohen, albeit completely unintentionally. Lohen's body tenses up, and a quiet whimper escapes him. Illuga is caught off guard and pauses for a moment. Did I hurt him? I didn't mean to press into his skin so hard.

He shakes his head and asks, "Are you alright? I'm sorry if that hurt."

Lohen wouldn't say it hurt necessarily. Maybe if he were a regular person, then it would've hurt, but he's not normal. He liked it. Just like he goes out into fights just for the thrill of it, he liked the way that felt, although he definitely couldn't just say that. Could he?

"I already told you, I'm fine. You know, you really don't need to be that gentle. I can handle it, Birdie," Lohen reassures him.

"You don't need to act tough around me, if that's what this is," Illuga says, amused at the discrepancy between the knight's words and actions.

"Do I need to say it again? It's fine, Illuga. Seriously," Lohen insists.

Illuga sighs, and gets back to work. An idea crosses his mind, albeit not a good one. How tough could Lohen really be? He still is human, after all. This time, when Illuga reaches to clean the wound, he purposefully dabs it a little harder than before, curious to see how Lohen would react. Another noise escapes Lohen, and he simply sits up, crossing one leg over the other. Is Illuga doing this on purpose?

Illuga takes note of Lohen's reactions, a mischievous grin appearing on his face. The idea of finishing this soon to get back to his Lightkeeper duties has left his mind by this point. He's at the other half of the wound now, working on it more gently for a little bit before putting more pressure on it again. This time, he works it closer to the inside of the cut, the more sensitive part of it.

Lohen lets out what's almost a growl or a hiss, and bites his lip. He's enjoying this more than he would like to admit to the man tending to him. It stings in the best way. Illuga quietly giggles, reveling in how he's making the knight behave. It's completely unlike how Lohen usually acts, and Illuga hasn't seen this side of him before, which makes him feel quite flustered.

Lohen sits there quietly, trying to pretend that this isn't happening. Not because this is a bad thing at all, but because it's just humiliating. Sir Lohen, Vice Captain of the Knights of Favonius Fifth Company, known for being the one to throw himself into fights just for fun, labeled crazy by many, is now sitting on the table, groaning and whimpering at the stinging pain from his wounds being tended to.

No one has ever been close enough to him to witness anything like this from him before, and he'd prefer to keep it that way unless it proved to be a helpful tactic against his enemies in battle. He changes positions again, crossing his other leg over this time.

"So, are you almost done, or what?" Lohen asks, ready to leave and not have to think about this again. He doesn't exactly want to turn around and face Illuga either.

"Huh? Yeah, almost. I think I need to go over back to the other side again though, I didn't do the best job cleaning it up since I was trying to be gentle," Illuga responds. While this statement isn't incorrect, it's still more of an excuse to toy with Lohen a little while longer. Illuga is enjoying this, after all.

Lohen doesn't respond this time, just letting Illuga go back to work. Lohen is sure that Illuga is doing this on purpose now, so maybe he should enjoy it more while he's here. He is a little bit curious how this is making Illuga feel as well.

Illuga continues for a while, but doesn't try anything. He simply puts away the disinfectant and grabs the bandages, preparing to wrap up the wound. Lohen frowns, a little disappointed, but it's not like this was going to last forever anyways. However, Illuga doesn't begin right away, instead using his hands to feel the cut, prodding at the edges to check for any spots that might start bleeding again later.

This really does something to Lohen, and his posture shifts a little bit, no longer sitting straight up. It's hard to focus when the man behind him is feeling inside of an open wound on his body. He can feel his body heating up, and he's making more noises than he'd like to, but he can't help it. This is the most vulnerable that Lohen has ever been around another person.

Illuga's head is spinning, and he can feel his body getting warmer. This isn't about tending to Lohen's wounds anymore, clearly. Illuga debates saying something to him, deciding to after a moment of silence.

"You… like this, don't you?" Illuga asks quietly, unsure if that was a good idea or not.

"What do you think, aren't you supposed to be the expert here?" Lohen grumbles, not wanting to give him a clear answer.

"Okay, if I'm honest with you about something will you be honest with me too?" Illuga asks, his tone a little more confident.

"Sure, whatever you say, Birdie," Lohen replies, already getting an idea of where this is going in his head.

Illuga takes a deep breath before speaking again.

"I'm finding it really hard to keep myself calm right now, and it's a certain knight's fault for that," Illuga admits defeatedly.

"And am I supposed to do something about that? Is it my fault when you were trying on purpose to get a reaction out of me? Don't lie, Birdie," Lohen asserts, having caught wind of Illuga's intentions for a while now.

"So you knew already," Illuga responds, his face heating up even more from embarrassment. So is he acting like this on purpose to get back at me or is he actually enjoying this?

"Maybe if it wasn't so obvious, I wouldn't have. Seriously, one minute you're worried about if you're being too gentle or not, next minute you're putting enough pressure into my back that I actually feel something. It's cute, but you are not very sneaky at all, Birdie," Lohen retorts, a smug grin appearing on his face.

Illuga is unsure what to say, ultimately defeated by how Lohen already figured him out. He isn't done yet though. Illuga's hands reach for Lohen's back again, feeling around his wound again.

"Aw, does Birdie still want to handle me?," Lohen teases, amused at how Illuga continues despite having been exposed already.

Illuga gets closer to him on the table, sitting down to the side. His hands trail down lower on Lohen's back, before wrapping them around to his waist instead. He really doesn't know what's come over him tonight, but he's feeling more bold now. Lohen, in turn, hums contently, wondering what Illuga will do next. Illuga nests his head on Lohen's shoulder, pulling him closer.

Lohen is enjoying this. He stays silent and quietly observes how Illuga's hands move along his body. Unfortunately for Lohen's curiosity, Illuga is too courteous to try anything else without knowing if it's okay or not, so Lohen has to step in.

"Does Birdie want something? You can just ask me, y'know," Lohen says in a provocative tone.

"I want…" Illuga trails off quietly, becoming shy despite his previous actions.

"Hm? What do you want? Use your words, Birdie," Lohen teases again, getting a little bit turned on by how Illuga is acting right now. It's cute. The leader of Nightmare Orioles, an esteemed hard worker among the Lightkeepers, and a useful asset on the battlefield, is now whining in Lohen's ear for him. This was truly a sight to behold. Lohen's face was flushed red now, and it was as obvious as ever that hems into this as much as Illuga is.

Illuga plants a kiss on Lohen's neck, the mint haired man humming in response. This is just too cute, he can't help but indulge him like this. He gently pushes Illuga off of him, and turns his body to face him, pulling his legs up on the table. Illuga's mind is racing by now, his body so hot it's unbearable. He fumbles a little bit trying to take his jacket off, and manages to do so with relative ease, revealing his sleeveless white turtleneck underneath. Quite the fashion choice.

Lohen notes Illuga's scar again, leading from his neck to his arm. He reaches under Illuga's sweater, his hands trailing up Illuga's body as he slowly pulls it off. Illuga and Lohen are both shirtless now, and Lohen gazes upon the sight of his body.

"Where'd you get this scar from, Birdie?" Lohen questions as he runs his finger from one end of it to the other, a shiver running down Illuga's spine as he does so.

"Mm. It doesn't matter," Illuga replies, avoiding the question.

Taking the hint, Lohen poses another question instead.

"How are you feeling down there? Enjoying the view?" Lohen teases, his hands spreading Illuga's legs apart.

"Do you always like to tease people like this? Illuga whines.

"Hm… Maybe, maybe not, I dunno," Lohen responds playfully.

"We've already wasted so much time, can you please…" Illuga trails off, looking down at where his and Lohen's bodies touch, and also at how hard he's getting.

"We? Who's idea was it in the first place to mess with me instead of cleaning my wound properly like a responsible little Lightkeeper?" Lohen teases, having way too much fun being a little bit of a jerk to Illuga. It was his fault that they're in this situation anyways.

"Mine…" Illuga responds defeatedly. He knows it's his fault but he doesn't care anymore, all he can think about is what's going to happen to him next, or what he hopes for at least.

"And should I be so kind as to give you what you want?" Lohen asks, grinning as he squeezes Illuga's thigh.

"Lohen, please…" Illuga begs, in an exasperated tone.

"Alright, as you wish, Birdie~," Lohen says cheerfully, as he uses both of his hands to pull Illuga's pants down. It's a lot clearer now just how pent up Illuga has become, his hard-on way more noticeable through just his boxers. Instead of giving him relief right away though, Lohen runs a finger over Illuga's cock.

The sensation makes him buck his hips in response, and Lohen hums in amusement. He grabs Illuga's legs and pulls their bodies closer together, crotches touching, but still bound by clothing. Illuga whines, and reaches down to free himself, but Lohen grabs his wrists before he can.

"Not so fast, Birdie. We're going to take this nice and slow, okay?" Lohen says, grinning sadistically, pinning Illuga's arms above his body. He was almost fully restrained at this point, and decided it would be better to comply with the knight no matter how badly he wanted this now.

Lohen then pulls off Illuga's boxers for him, his dick springing out immediately. Illuga gasps quietly at the cold air touching him, but that coldness is quickly replaced by a hand. Lohen's hand gently wraps around Illuga's cock, and slowly starts pumping it. Illuga whimpers, and his body shakes lightly at Lohen's touch.

"Mm… Please… Faster.." Illuga barely manages to sound out, focusing on trying to steady his breathing instead.

Lohen takes that as a sign to do the opposite, Illuga whines as Lohen stops, letting go of Illuga's wrists and shifting into a different position instead. Lohen pushes the hair from his face and lowers his head down, using his tongue to lick up the length of Illuga's cock. Illuga lets out another moan, and with his newly freed hands, grabs the back of Lohen's head, trying to gain any sort of control in this situation.

"So handsy, what did I tell you? If you want something, you can just ask, Birdie~" Lohen comments as he goes back down, awaiting a response from the other.

"You feel really good… I need more... Please.." Illuga begs, his body quivering slightly.

"As you wish," Lohen replies swiftly before taking Illuga's cock into his mouth, the sudden change in sensation eliciting a moan from the ash-haired man beneath him. Lohen quietly sucks him off, Illuga watching him as his head raises and lowers from his cock. I can't believe this is really happening. He feels so good…

Illuga uses his hands to force Lohen into a rhythm, the grip on his hair extremely tight. Not that Lohen minds, he found it kind of hot, actually. He doesn't fight it this time, going with whatever Illuga wants now; he definitely deserves it for putting up with Lohen's teasing for so long. Illuga's breaths quicken, with more whimpers and moans coming from him as his body gets more unsteady, close to his release.

A loud whine comes from Illuga as he finally climaxes, Lohen nearly choking from the sudden intrusion of fluids in his mouth before raising his head off Illuga's dick. He swallows and wipes his face before looking over at Illuga, who is laying there still, chest heaving.

"Are you feeling better now, Birdie?" Lohen asks, his hand reaching over to brush the hair away from Illuga's face. He was already a very beautiful man, but somehow looked even more so while completely disheveled on the table right now.

Illuga doesn't respond verbally, but slowly pushes himself up to face Lohen. He stares at the other for a moment before gently pushing Lohen down onto his back. Even though Illuga is extremely tired out, he still wants to please Lohen, since he got them into this situation anyways.

"May I?" Illuga asks weakly, motioning to Lohen that he wants to do something for him as well.

"You still have energy? I guess I shouldn't have underestimated a captain of the Lightkeepers. Of course, Birdie," Lohen responds with a smile, hands reaching down to undo his pants before Illuga stops him.

"Please, let me. You already did so much for me tonight, I think I should return the favor," Illuga argues.

"What are you, a knight? You don't need to be so formal about this, if you want to, just say so," Lohen retorts.

"Then I want to, Lohen," Illuga says more firmly.

Lohen hums, acknowledging his statement, and Illuga gets to work, unzipping Lohen's pants to free his cock, which was already hard from the night's previous events. Instead of using his hands or his mouth, however, Illuga positions himself on top of Lohen to ride him. Lohen wasn't expecting this, but isn't opposed to it—he gets front row seats to watch Illuga as he takes him, after all.

Lohen's hands reach up to grab Illuga's thighs, and he guides him onto his cock. Illuga lets out a quiet whimper as he lowers himself down, taking a couple deep breaths before he moves. His pace starts off really weakly, but Lohen's hands are on his waist, gently guiding him up and down. Fuck, this feels good.

Illuga starts to move a little faster, getting into more of a rhythm now. He's breathing really heavily with a few whimpers and moans mixed in, and Lohen focuses on the man above him. His eyes, a soft blue, with a ring of red towards the middle. His hair, a beautiful ash color, with a dark red underside. Not to mention the mole on his left cheek.

Illuga was very beautiful, Lohen only truly realizing that now. His focus is quickly broken as Illuga leans forward to put his hands on the table for support as he fucks himself on Lohen's cock.

Lohen grips Illuga's thighs tighter as he forces him down harder, enough to cause a few moans to escape him as well. Illuga is a mess by now, his body trembling a lot more than before, and Lohen is starting to come undone as well, moaning and whining under his breath. Eventually, he reaches his limit, and comes inside Illuga, who follows shortly after, a white mess painting Lohen's stomach.

Despite the sticky mess, Illuga flops forward onto Lohen, completely drained of energy after finishing twice, and the two of them stay silent for a while to regain their breaths. Soon after, Illuga wraps his arms around Lohen, not wanting to get up yet. This didn't bother Lohen, and he wrapped his arms around Illuga in return, the two holding each other in a tight embrace on the table together.

It was only after Illuga's hand pressed into the cut on Lohen's back that he realized that he did not end up taking proper care of that in the first place.
