Chapter Text
Chan hadn't really wanted to go and watch an illegal underground fighting ring, but his friend Seungchaol had begged him. Somehow none of his mates had wanted to go, so the alpha had begged Chan instead.
He'd regretted it the moment he agreed. Regretted the disgust on Minho's face, the 'are you serious?' look Seungmin gave him. The only thing that made him not change his mind was Changbin.
Changbin had escaped from the illegal fighting network as a young alpha, he rarely talked about it. Apart from one thing. An omega.
Changbin was certain that this omega, the one he spoke so highly about, the gentle, kind, embodiment of sunshine omega was their fated mate. His Felix, their Felix.
Chan's pack was made of fated mates. Jisung he had found first, a small omega scared and hiding in a toilet stall as he presented. Minho, his other omega had been different. Sharp, unforgiving, but loyal to the bone. Chan wasn't stupid, he knew Minho had known, had figured it out the same time he had, but Minho had waited, watched, wanted to see what Chan was willing to do for him. Chan would give any of them the world. Hyunjin was next, a young alpha, breathtakingly gorgeous, found by Jisung in the park and brought home. Chan had had a long talk with him about bringing random alphas home, to the argument of 'he's not random, he's ours'. Hyunjin to his credit had tried his best to leave, but Chan had felt that connection, and so he had stayed. Then it had been Changbin, beaten and bloody, almost running into Chan, who offered him help immediately. It had been Minho who offered him a place to stay. And it was Minho who first knew Changbin was theirs too. And then Seungmin, sweet, gentle Seungmin. Their only beta and the reason Chan was willing to empty his bank account just for a smile. He'd been in one of Jisung's classes, and he'd bought him home to work on a project. Jeongin, their baby. He was an alpha too, Chan had been on a walk when he found him crying on a bench, one look was all it took for them to know the truth.
Chan was lucky to have so many fated mates as it was, surely there couldn't be another, could there?
Seungchaol was delighted to have his company and was talking his ear off about his favourite fighter, who was small and strong and vicious. And never, ever lost.
"What do they call him?" Chan asked, the venue was packed, hot and stuffy, surrounding the large metal cage where the fight would take place.
"The omega."
"Why?"
"Cause he's an omega." Seungchaol sounded like he thought Chan was stupid. "Have you been listening to anything I've been saying?"
"I don't want to answer that."
Seungchaol rolled his eyes. "He's fighting tonight."
The fighters entered from either side of the cage, the omega was first, he was small and lithe and really didn't look like he could handle himself in a fight. He had blond hair that went just past his shoulders and was kept away from his face with two braids.
His opponent was the largest alpha Chan had ever seen. Shaved black hair, all muscle and intimidation.
The omega struck first, he was fast. Claws swiping across the aplhas stomach, drawing blood. The crowd went wild.
The alpha swiped at the omegas legs, but instead of going down he flipped back onto his feet and punched so hard the alphas head went back a clean 45° angle. The alpha responded by slamming him into the floor, he landed hard on his back. But he got up.
There was something about this omega, that seemed familiar to him. Was this Changbin's Felix?
If so, what had they done to him since Changbin escaped?
Chan was so wrapped up in his thoughts, he didn't notice what was going on until Seungchaol gripped his arm. The alpha had thrown the omega to the floor by his neck.
He got up again. Seungchaol whooped.
The omega (Felix?) pounced, launching at the alpha and aiming for his head, put his full weight on his shoulders, knocking him to the ground. Head hitting the floor so hard it drew blood. The omega didn't move, knees digging into the alphas neck. He was going to kill him.
The alpha tapped on the floor three times. He'd conceded.
The crowd went wild.
As soon as the fight ended, Chan was weaving through the crowd looking for the omega. He found him kneeling beside an alpha, the alpha who had owned Changbin too. He was shirtless and muzzled, chains wrapped around his torso, hands chained behind his back.
"Felix!" Chan was breathless. The omega looked up at him, eyes wide. "You are Changbin's Felix, aren't you?"
"You know Changbin?" The omegas voice was deep.
"Listen lad." The alpha got Chan's attention.
"Yes?"
"I'm retiring, he's made me my money. If you'll pay, you can have him." The alpha shifted his grip on the chains. "As long as that Changbin doesn't come looking for me."
Chan didn't even think. "How much?"
"One hundred million won."
Chan scoffed. Yeah, he had the money, but that wasn't the point. "50 million." He said before he could stop himself.
"Deal." He was shaking the man's hand and setting up the bank transfer before he could think more about it. "Take it." The alpha held the chains out to him. Chan took it.
"The keys." Chan held his hand out, the alpha snorted and tossed him the keys. Wrapping an arm around the omegas shoulders, he led him out into the back alley, where Seungchaol caught up with them.
"Minho's going to kill you." He stated, staring at the omega.
"Probably, will you help me or not?" Chan shot him a look, Seungchaol nodded and helped him unlock the chains and muzzle.
The omega, Felix, fell forward like the chains were all that was holding him up. Chan caught him.
"I've got you." He didn't miss how the omega was shaking. "Is there any injuries that need desperate attention, or can it wait until we get home?"
Felix shook his head. "You really know Changbin? My Changbin?"
"I'm his pack alpha." Chan nodded.
"He got a pack?" Felix looked so happy for him.
"He's been looking for you."
"Hate to ruin the moment, but Chan what did you do?" Seungchaol asked.
"I bought him." Chan hated how it sounded out loud. "I don't own you, you're free, by the way."
"It's fine, I'm used to it." Felix shrugged.
"So you're out of the ring?"
"I don't have to fight?" Felix looked hopeful.
"Never again." Chan promised. Felix's scent was barely there, but it was still divine. He couldn't wait to get the scent blockers off him when they got back.
"Minho's still gonna kill you." Seungchaol laughed. "How do you do these things Chan?"
"Chan? That's your name?" Felix asked.
"Yes, and we can call you Felix?" Chan asked. Felix nodded.
"Changbin was the only one who called me that anyway, everyone else just called me omega."
"Let's get home, Seungchaol do you need a ride?" Chan asked. Seungchaol shook his head, nodding to where Seungkwan was sat in a car over the road, arms crossed.
"They're still mad I'm here." Seungchaol sighed. "Keep me updated, if you need anything, let us know."
"Thanks Hyung, try not to let them maul you." Chan half joked.
"Good luck Felix." Seungchaol added and then he was gone.
"Are you okay?" Chan asked. Felix nodded.
"Sure."
"Ready to go, do you need to get anything?"
"I don't have anything." Felix replied. There was blood on his torso, and Chan wasn't even sure where it was coming from, he shrugged off his jacket and wrapped it around him. "Oh, thanks."
"Don't worry about the rest of the pack, everything will be okay." Chan said as he led Felix to his car.
"That's what they all say." Felix mumbled.
