Chapter Text

Cassie always wondered what it must feel like to be Maddy’s lover, to be Maddy’s number one, the person she went to when she was exhausted and pent up after a long day, the person she confided in and shared her secrets with, and who shared theirs in return. Did Maddy prefer sleeping on the right side of the bed or the left?

Cassie’s eyes would sometimes wander to Nate when they were alone at night, and she’d wonder what he had seen in Maddy all those years ago. Not in a jealous way, Cassie was far past that, but rather admittedly in a way that fascinated her, despite herself
did his stomach flutter whenever their gazes met across the school hallways, or when her lips grazed his. And what kind of kisser was Maddy, did she like it slow and sensual or fast and erotic.

The truth was, if Cassie had been Nate, she never would have let go of Maddy. She would have spent the rest of her life worshipping her, devoted at her feet.

But Cassie was not a Man and she was certainly not Nate. Matter of fact Cassie was probably the furthest thing from importance in Maddy's life now.

And it was all because of her own stupid, selfish choices

Still, despite how far apart they've become now, here they were. Somehow, in the strange way life had of humbling her, Cassie had ended up with Maddy sitting across from her at her own kitchen table, laptop open. Managing Cassie’s only fans account.

“You’re leaving a lot of money on the table,” she said, not even looking up from Cassie’s analytics, her manicured nail tapping against the table. “Your engagement is good, but your posting schedule is a mess.”

Cassie stood in her own kitchen with nothing on but a pink thong and a sheer lacy bra.

The studio light had started to give her a headache. They had been at this for hours now.

“I’m adding a tier,” Maddy continued, already typing. “Forty dollars a month, you post exclusive content only. We’re also redoing your bio; it sounds like a Tumblr page from 2012.”

“I wrote that myself,” Cassie said.

Maddy looked up at her, she didn’t say anything just sighed and looked back at the screen

Great. As if Maddy’s opinion of her couldn’t sink any lower.

“I’m not stupid you know,” Cassie said, before she could stop herself

“I didn’t say you were.” She says sharply

“You didn’t have to.”
God. Even to her own ears she sounded like a whinny baby who hadn’t gotten her way.

“Do you want my help or not?” she rolled her eyes

Cassie hated how transactional it all felt she knew it was Maddy’s job to manage her, otherwise there really wasn’t a reason for Maddy to be here.

It really shouldn't have bothered her this much, Maddy had every reason to keep her distance with her, honestly, Cassie was still surprised Maddy could even look at her without wanting to scream or knock her out cold. Even despite that it felt humiliating standing half-naked in her own kitchen while Maddy discussed her body like a business investment and nothing more.

“Turn around for me”

Cassie blinked “what?”

“Just do what I say and turn around” Maddy gestured vaguely

Cassie did it anyways,

Maddy got up from her seat at the kitchen counter and motioned towards her, despite Cassie facing the other direction
She could feel Maddy's gaze on her as she circled her. Maddy clicked her tongue, Cassie can tell an idea was forming in her head.

as Moments passed, she heard shuffling in the background, she glanced over her shoulder just in time to see Maddy grabbing a camera along with a tripod stand

“Bend over for me” Maddy spoke behind the camera that was now placed behind Cassie

Cassie felt self-aware all of a sudden, she knew she wasn't doing this for Maddy's eyes but still it felt intimate the way Maddy commanded her so effortlessly that made Cassie's chest tighten at the thought of it.

She bent forward slowly, resting her hands against the counter while trying not to think too hard about how exposed she felt right now. Cassie could hear the clicking of buttons being adjusted as she felt the heat of studio light on her ass cheeks

“Tilt your head a little” Maddy said

Cassie did

“Lower your shoulder”

Another clicker

“Arch a bit lower”

She complied

Maddy let go of the camera, unimpressed “Cassie”

“What I'm trying”

“Well try better” Maddy sounded irritated now

Cassie rolled her eyes exasperated. “Well maybe you should come over here and show me yourself then.”

A moment paused between them. The camera stops flicking

“Fine,” she said simply.

The second Maddy stepped out from behind the camera, Cassie felt her stomach drop.
What Cassie hadn’t expected was for Maddy to actually do it, she was in all words completely and utterly fucked.
It was already hard enough dealing with Maddy looking at her like that, touching her was absolutely out of the equation.

But before Cassie could respond, her hand settled lightly against her lower back.

“You’re too stiff,” Maddy muttered.

Maddy adjusted her posture slightly, guiding her hips back just a little.

Heat spiked up Cassie spine despite how cold Maddy's hands felt
“Relax.”

Cassie tried to. She really did. But it was hard when she was this close,
Maddy's other hands moved up her upper spine, so slowly and careful, like she was made of porcelain, and could break at any moment

She couldn't remember the last time someone has touched her with such tenderness it almost made her moan at the touch

Maddy's hand anchored on her neck as she gently motioned it lower towards the kitchen counter

“Just like that”

Her other hand now resting on her hips pulled her upwards closer to her crotch

Cassie swallowed hard, fingers tightening around the edge of the counter. She was anchored in place with nowhere to go but follow Maddy's command

“Breath, she's just helping you get the angle right for the photoshoot", Cassie told herself. Her mind forming a million thoughts and none of them were innocent

The fabric of Maddy’s pencil skirt brushed lightly against her ass as she leaned in closer. For the first time all night, Maddy hesitated.

A small pause fell between them
Then she cleared her throat, almost awkwardly, before stepping back.

The moment disappeared as quickly as it came.
Maddy let go of her instantly, composure sliding back into place

“Stay like that and don't move, am I understood?” She lectured her in that commanding voice she used when she wanted Cassie to follow her orders.

And like the hopeless idiot she was, Cassie did exactly that.

The shutter clicked.

Again.

And again.

Cassie finally straightened up, turning around to face her. “So?” she asked, trying to sound casual. Bouncing on her feet.

Maddy didn’t answer right away.
She stared at the photos for a second longer before looking up at her,
“They’re good,” she said finally, her expression unreadable.

Something about hearing praise from Maddy, even something that small made warmth spread through Cassie’s chest embarrassingly fast.
“Just good?” Cassie teased softly.

Maddy rolled her eyes, but Cassie caught the faintest twitch at the corner of her mouth.
“Don’t push it.”

Just for a split moment it felt like Cassie transformed back in time to high school, before Nate when they were both just two close friends sharing a special moment
