Trailer 1: The next Career retrospect is going to be special 😉
The screen shows the usual set up of the video series.
A studio space.
A blank white wall with a table.
A single chair.
There is a short compilation shown of previous guests. People looking at a tablet, watching video clips, photos, or headlines.
A list actors with their iconic movie roles, red carpet shots, winning Oscars, Emmys and giving winning speaches.
Singers cringing at their first few song releases, breaking down concepts of their albums, different stages all around the world, talking about their partners, big milestones, reaching dreams.
A child star talking about how they went through such a high early on, how difficult it was to grow up, a quick little try at music, to finally arriving at their current career, going back to acting now.
A famously reclusive movie star reflecting on how the industry has changed, how far we have come and their decades long career and 4 marriages.
A shorter video that was a singer and the for her age already long career that now completely changed to being an actress and finding her place behind the camera and now directing her first movie.
The actor that only got famous in his 40s, the odd jobs he did before and why he now is on the bast way of becoming a fashion icon.
Met galas, Party shots, scandalous relationships, the highs and the lows.
And finally a cut to the studio space.
Now 2 chairs instead of one.
The reactions were nothing unusual, people speculating who it will be. Maybe a couple? A music duo? A famous mother daughter duo? Actors? Singers? Model? Hopefully not some influencer or just somebody for clicks that is then still boring. Hopefully not somebody boring like the last 2 videos. Maybe not such a heavy one like the one with teh very old actor that now is slowly getting too old to do what he loves.
Nothing could have prepared the internet for the second trailer.
The studio space again, the two chairs instead of the usual one. Steps can be heard.
Various cuts of 2 people.
Their shoes walking towards the table.
Elegant black pants.
A hand on the table, a wedding ring clearly visible.
Black hair, half long styled off a forehead.
Sounds of a lot of people cheering. Not the usual concert sounds. A sports crowd.
A sound of 2 men laughing while another hand is swiping on the tablet.
A necklace visible by the half opened shirt. A cross and ring in gold hanging from the chain.
A hard cut to the studio with not people again. The 2 chairs aren't empty though. A pair of hockey skates hanging from one of them. An Irina Foundation Jacket on one of them, a Centaur pride Jersey on the other one.
The caption just says: Sports I guess

Ok I have gathered what we know so far about their relationship timeline before this drops so we can see if there is any new info or for people who do not know the lore yet:
-the first played each other in 2008
-drafted in 2009, they were at the event together so that could be where they first actually ever interacted with each other, if only briefly because you don't see any videos or photos of them talking outside the official announcement pic.
-October 2010 their first season playing professionally, they played against each other as a Metro and Bear from now on. They have legendary rookie seasons are 2 one of a kind talents, going toe to toe in stats from now on
-2014, they were both at the Olympics but didn't interact, Ilya wins the cup this year (he will always be my fav bear ever, sue me), they do that skit at the awards in July (this a lot of people say is probably the first time they could have actually talked to each other outside of games or got to know each other, for that skit)
-November 2016 Shane is seen with rose landry and dates her until January (?) not clear exactly when they broke up
-January 2017 they played together on the same team at all stars, at least here they could have had their first time actually talking or getting to know each other for some people
-june 2017 Ilya is at Scott hunter night at the club in New York, he is one of the few non admirals players there
-june 2018: ilya surprisingly signs with ottowa and leaves boston (which I am still heartbroken about), they are from this point onwards living in the same country
-22nd november: they announce the Irina foundation as their joint charity and from now on will do yearly hockey camps for kids together, They are friends
-2020: Fabian visits Ryan(coach at the camp and his boyfriend) at the second overall hockey camp and Ilya and Shane attend his concert along with the other coaches, pictures of that are everywhere thanks to fabians fanaccounts (love yall, especially @fabiaanbaase)
-november 2020: a documentary about their rivalry and career gets released, they only talk professionally about each other in the interviews
-2021 march: Hayden outs them in a fanmail video, followed by league bullshit and official confirmation that they have been in a serious relationship with each other for “several years”
-engagement in may that year, Shane signs with the Centaurs at the end of the season, wedding in july, (maybe honeymoon in august in spain, not confirmed though)
Ok so based on that: The Most popular theory for the hollanov relationship: after the all stars in 2017, have been kinda friends ever since then, and they maybe realize they get along well despite being so different, then for some reason nobody really knows (people say maybe salary increase or just a challenge) Ilya moves to Ottawa, Shane's hometown. He possibly reaches out (for advice in property, places to got, to settle in etc.), they start a charity and share an agent. They then get together sometime 2018/19ish
