Work Text:

the training ground was silent except for the rustle of leaves and the occasional, gentle snap of new growth. yamato knelt, hands pressed to the earth, pouring chakra into the soil. he was focusing on a small, intricate lattice of wood that was pushing through the dirt, weaving it into the shape of a miniature bridge. it was delicate work, requiring immense precision. he could feel the individual cells dividing, the lignin strengthening, the grain setting just so.

a warm puff of breath ghosted over the shell of his ear, making the fine hairs there stand on end.

“you’re doing great taichou.”

“can you tell me that without whispering seductively in my ear?” yamato replied begrudgingly.

"you know," kakashi murmured, "in chapter seven, of icha icha paradise, the heroine gets so distracted by her paramour's.. wooden structure... that she can't focus on her own building."

yamato's jaw tightened. the tiny bridge wavered, a few splinters cracking off. he ignored the jounin hovering over him, trying to reclaim his concentration. yet came another whisper, closer this time:

"he has to guide her hands to help her channel her energy properly. gets them all sticky and wet.. with sap."

heat crept up yamato's neck. he could picture the ridiculous scene from that orange book, the one kakashi was always reading and rereading.

"you’re very focused on the way your hands are moving. so steady. such good control.. i bet you're very, very versatile with your hands too, aren't you, taichou?"

the bridge collapsed into a pathetic pile of splinters and dirt. yamato sighed, letting his hands fall to his sides. "kakashi."

”senpai,” kakashi corrected teasingly.

”from what i remember, you don’t like honorifics. so kakashi it is.”

”they’re not all that bad coming from your mouth.” kakashi replied happily.

"don’t you have genin brats to take care of now, senpai? stop bothering me.”

he turned his head to glare at the other man, but kakashi was already leaning back on his hands, one eye curving into a smile under his mask.

"they're on a d-rank mission. well, not exactly, i’m having them look for a secret treasure. little do they know, i didn’t even set a treasure up for them. so i'm all yours for,” he looked at his imaginary watch, “-two hours. maybe four if sakura doesn’t realize my little trick.”

”you’re a terrible fucking teacher, you know that right?” yamato chuckled.

”they’re all annoying me right now. naruto is impatient, sasuke is a nihilist, and sakura— sakura is mean. really mean. she called me a pervert, a bum, and a fraud. all in one day.” kakashi said with a sad pout.

“your students being pain in the asses have nothing to do with me, so stop messing me up while im trying to focus.” yamato said.

“ouch. i think deserve a break with my favorite anbu captain. congrats on the promotion, by the way.”

"lucky me." yamato deadpanned, turning back to the dirt. "go bother obito. i'm sure he'd love to hear about your porn books.”

"that’s more of a.. you and me thing, no? and it’s not porn, porn could never be as intricate as icha icha.”

“we did that once and that was when i was really horny,” yamato groaned out.

“-and it’s still porn. your just reading about people doing the act instead of actually watching them.” yamato huffed out, trying to get back to his training.

“oh, i was hoping you’d bring that up.” the whisper was back, closer now, pressing right against the sensitive skin of his neck.

“remember that other chapter? where the heroine gets so fed up with the shinobi distracting her, she.. deals with the distraction, so she that can finally focus on her sutras?”

yamato’s hands fisted in the dirt. he could feel his chakra fizzing uselessly in his palms. "it’s not like i read your books. so no, i don’t remember it.”

"don't you think it’s a good idea? to get rid of the distraction, so then you can have your peace." kakashi said cheerfully.

with a growl of frustration, yamato spun around. he shoved kakashi back, sending the jounin sprawling onto the grass with a soft oof. before kakashi could react, yamato was straddling his hips, pinning him to the ground.

his hands, still smudged with dirt, made quick work of kakashi’s trousers. kakashi's visible eye widened in genuine surprise, a small, pleased noise escaping him. "i- uh,”

"shut up," yamato snapped. he leaned down, the curtain of his shoulder-length hair brushing against kakashi's stomach. he looked up, dark eyes meeting kakashi's one.

he started slow, a deliberate sweep of his tongue that made kakashi's hips jolt. yamato's hair brushed against the inside of kakashi's thighs as he took him deeper, a smooth, fluid motion that had the copy nin's breath catching in his throat.

“it’s pretty risqué to-“ he paused, a whiny moan slipping out, “-uh, do this here,” he finished, gasping out.

kakashi’s fingers, which had been hovering in surprise, now tangled in yamato’s soft hair. yamato moved with a rhythm that was maddening. he'd use the flat of his tongue, then the very tip, a teasing flick that made kakashi's whole body tense.

yamato was good at this. really good. he knew exactly when to use pressure, when to back off, when to hollow his cheeks and suck in a way that made kakashi see white behind his eye.

kakashi was panting now, his usual composure gone. "yamato, wait.. i'm..." he couldn't finish the sentence, couldn't form the words. he could only grip yamato's hair tighter.

with a choked gasp, kakashi shuddered, spilling into yamato's mouth.

yamato pulled back with a pop and spat kakashi’s finished load out on his stomach. he wiped his mouth with the back of his hand and stood up, straightening his flak jacket. he left kakashi lying there with his pants undone, a mess on the training ground.

“clean yourself up.” he said, already turning back to the spot where he'd been kneeling. he knelt, pressed his hands to the earth, and in a matter of moments, a perfect, intricate wooden bridge rose from the soil, more stable and detailed than the one he'd been trying to build before.

kakashi lay there for a long moment, staring up at the blue sky, completely dazed. it had been so much better compared to the book. slowly, a grin spread across his face.

Notes:

obito is still “dead” here btw 😭😂
