Chapter Text
Vee jolted awake, looking around the unfamiliar surroundings. Leaning back against the wall. As she looked she saw the dark metal looking bars, her eyes widened like a doe as confusion waved over her body.
She looked down at herself, seeing she was sitting on some crappy mattress and was wearing whatever she had on before she was here. She looked around the dark, silent void of a room and sighed. “Where am I?” She muttered, not expecting an answer.
She laid there for a moment, very hesitant to leave the only speck of white in the dark gray and black toned room. She touched her hair and ran it back carefully as she started growing bored.
She glanced around, trying to get a better picture of her surroundings. She slowly stood up from the bed, seeing there was 3 concrete walls. A concrete floor and roof, a crappy window of a fenced grass pitch. And a barred door. “Very cozy room.” She remarked sarcastically. Walking over to the barred door, seeing if she could open it.
Right as she reached to the lock, she felt a shock to her neck and volted back. “Fuck-“ She hissed, touching her neck and felt some type of thick metallic collar. She took a couple steps from the door. “Okay. Got it.” She said, walking back to her little bed and rubbed at her neck softly. Trying to think of what could possibly get her here.
She perked up when she heard the door knob turn, immediately straightening her posture and tense of who was at the door. But tilted her head when she saw an oddly familiar girl who looked nothing like a terrifying kidnapper. “Huh..?”
She heard a soft, actually relatively deep voice compared to a high pitched tone than expected. “Hello!! I’m Shelly Fossilian I’m your nurse!” Her voice practically purred as she spoke, a small German accent slipped.
Vee almost snorted, a little smile on her face. Clearly not expecting someone like this to come in the room. “Okay.. I’m Vee I guess, why the hell am I here?” She walked off her bed. Immediately trying to get answers with her naturally curious mind.
Shelly giggled, clearly adoring Vee’s curiosity. “My, my, seems you really are a great contestant! So curious ya!” Vee narrowed her eyes, but didn’t speak. “Dancifer sure was right about you! I’m sure you will become divine in no time!” She clasped her hands together. “Now you may ask questions, honey.” She said, closing the door behind her and used some type of id to lock it.
Vee bit her lip slightly, kinda keeping slight distance from Shelly. “Okay, uhm— Why am I here? What is this place?” Vee questioned, seeing a slight gleam in Shelly’s eyes. She observed her relatively chubby silhouette and medium length wavy hair. Vee’s fingers subconsciously curled into a loose fist.
Shelly smiled at her questions, taking a step closer to Vee. Almost confused why she would ever step back from her. “Wellll, you’re here mainly because Dancifer wants you here. He told me he knew you! And the place you’re at right now is one of our many cells in the lab! Though as you stay here it will eventually be more ‘cozy’.” She chuckled, knowing exactly how Vee described it due to watching her before she walked in.
Vee’s mind faltered slightly, realizing there must be some sort of camera system where she’s always watched. And Dancifer.. She could almost remember him, like a ex maybe?.. She rolled her eyes, looking back at Shelly. “Right. Will I ever leave?”
Shelly’s expression faltered, her eyes narrowed slightly. “Well. Why would you ever want that? When you can stay here and live in paradise.” She said, her smile turning slightly forced and teeth a bit more clenched. Vee perked up at the sudden response, laughing nervously. ‘God this bitch is a fucking brainwashed robot’ she thought. “Right, right.. No leaving, got it!”
Shelly’s expression relaxed more at Vee’s response, her shoulders lowering again. “Great! Well, I’ll let you adapt to your new room as Sprout prepares some food! We won’t pull many test on you since you’re new here.” She said, walking out using her id to unlock it and then locked it as she left.
Vee immediately stood there, starting to actually really think of what she got into. She bit her lip, looking at the thick bars. Immediately trying to see if she could escape theough them by shimmying, but it was like the moment she touched the bars she got shocked again. She grunted and pulled from the bars. “God fucking.. Ow.”
She huffed, not wanting to stay here. “These people are fucking crazy..” She whispered to herself, immediately walking to the window. Trying to bang on it, but felt the bullet-proof glass and huffed. Struggling to punch the thick physical barrier. After a while she started struggling to think of how to get out.
She bit on her fingertips as she sat on the bed with her knees to her chest. Hating how uncomfortable everything felt, the warm and slightly humid air didn’t help either. She leaned her back more against the wall. Holding herself up as she sat there, her mind racing but her body and facial expression remained ominous and still.
She sighed heavily, lying on her back fully. She raised her arms over her head, staring at the ceiling. She thought about what it was like before she was here. But as she thought about it, she started to realize how miserable it was like in the ‘real world’. “Fuck..”
She turned over on her side, she held the small pillow and fluffed it up before clinging onto it. After what felt like hours, she heard the knob click again. Sitting up seeing Shelly walk in with a little basket and a tray of food that shockingly didn’t look that bad.
Shelly placed the basket and food on the bed next to Vee, seeing her happily eat the food. Chuckling softly. “Gee, I’m glad you like it.” She hummed as she sat on the bed next to Vee. Trying to keep small distance as she watched her. A look of relief over her face that Vee hadn’t tried actually attack anyone yet. Most patients did when they first came, but she didn’t like the little intuition of leaving Vee lingered having. But she didn’t want to crush her so quickly with such a fact she couldn’t leave. It was kinda cute seeing her try getting through the bars.
As Vee sat in silence and finally finished eating, she reached to the basket. “Hmm..” She looked at the stuffed animal, raising an eyebrow slightly seeing it was a snow leopard. Her favorite animal. “How do you..?” She touched the soft fluff, seeing some other blankets and decor in the gift.
Shelly heard Vee trail off, she watched her touch the stuffed animal. “Well, before we have our patients here Dancifer always makes sure we know what they like! Your favorite color is green and black so I thought to get you some green and black blankets aswell!” She said happily.
Vee felt a horrid uncomfortable feeling in her gut. How long has she been stalked and observed like a lab rat. “Why does this place exist again?” She asked, glancing at her as she touched the stuffed animal.
Shelly smiled, finding Vee’s questions fun and would patiently explain them no matter how many times she asked. “Well it’s more of a company of paradise! Dancifer plans on making perfection in his legacy of the world and for everyone to be divine in it. Including you, Vee. We just need.. More privacy before it’s finished for destiny.”
Vee raised an eyebrow, looking at the snow leopard. “So a… Cult?” Shelly jumped at the mention of such a thing, putting a hand over Vee’s mouth. “No! No, it’s a movement. Not a cult, not a cult why would it be!” She laughed, though it very likely sounded like she was also trying to convince herself otherwise.
Vee stared at Shelly, feeling her hand slowly move off her face. “Okay..” Shelly sighed happily, believing Vee kinda just agreed and moved on. “Good, did you like the things I picked for you?” Shelly asked softly, she would truly be upset if she didn’t like it.
Vee looked at the basket, sighing. Feeling slightly calm since this wasn’t as bad as she thought, but perked back up realizing she was relaxed. Why should she be relaxed. “They were fine. But me being here isn’t!” She proclaimed, reaching her hands to Shelly’s wrist and hissed. “Why am I here? Actually? What are you trying to get out of me! Money? I have money.”
Shelly perked up seeing Vee grasp onto her wrist, clicking her teeth together and stood up. Letting Vee hold onto her wrist despite being able to physically push her down. “Okay. I see you won’t willingly submit, I really did want to go easy on you.” She said quitely, moving one hand off from Vee’s grip and got on her walki talki.
“Subject V not cooperating, requires backup. Over.” She said, waiting for a response before clicking off. “Such a shame you wanted to do this, I really thought it would be a great time for you here.” She said before pushing her arms back, walking out from the door as two men seemingly barged in.
Vee perked up, quickly stepping back. “Holy shit—“ She tried punching one off, but felt four arms pull her into his chest. Forcing her still as one of them injected her arm with some type of drug.
Vee gasped out as she felt the needle inject, trying to push off of him. “Let go of me!” She hissed, looking forward and saw a tall. Chubby man in front of her, trying not to pass out as her arms fell limp. “Who.. Are you..”
She muttered, her speech slurred before she actually passed out. “Dancifer.” He said flatly, right before she passed out and sighed. “Fiesty as always, huh Vee one?” He said, not expecting a response from the unconscious body.
Dandy sighed heavily, adjusting his gloves. “Astro, be a dear and get her a muzzle and straight jacket. She can’t be trusted currently.” Astro sighed softly, placing her on the bed and nodding. Walking out of the room silently, Shelly observed Dandy. A still, straight face appeared.
Shelly sighed, then walked off. Hoping slightly that Dandy wouldn’t punish her too badly. Astro eventually returned, putting the straight jacket on Vee carefully and tied it off. Then pulling the muzzle over her face, she could still talk with it on. It was more so she wouldn’t try biting anyone.
After a couple hours, Vee finally woke up. She tried jumping back into a fight but felt her arms forced into her chest, she looked around and saw the figure still there. Practically waiting for her. “You’re awake.” The voice muttered, looking over her body.
Vee glared daggers at him, still sat up against the bed. “Who are you, I demand answers.” She hissed at him, watching him get closer and narrowed her eyes more like a mad cat. Trying not to show how nervous she actually was.
“Well, Dr Dancifer. Finally a face to the name huh?” He said, seeing Vee tilt her head slightly. Expecting someone younger and more.. Something. More like the shows. “Yeah..” Dancifer scoffed, seeing Vee’s expression. “Oh okay I see how it is, whatever.” He huffed and grabbed Vee’s chin roughly.
“If you keep on resisting, I’ll gladly keep this stupid outfit on you and get you with a more.. Fitting nurse, would you want that?” He said, seeing Vee hesitate and kinda just looking over his face. “I wouldn’t want you to have it either, but only until Shelly sees improvements of behavior will it be taken off. Got it?” Vee sighed, nodding hesitantly.
“Great. Now, I kinda wanted to wait a couple days before you actually go anywhere near me but what do I expect from you. You’re lucky you’re new here.” He spoke roughly, standing back up and walked over to the barred cage.
Vee sat there as he left, leaning into the bed and stared at the ceiling again. Turning to her side after a moment and closed her eyes, forcing herself to sleep in the crappy mattress.
