PMD: Cursed

Summary:

Yuji suddenly finds himself in a forest during his fight with Sukuna.

Notes:

I just wrote this along the way, so don't expect much from my lazy self ┐('—`;)┌

Work Text:

December 24, 2018

That was the day where the strongest of the modern day had died.

It was an all or nothing battle to defeat Ryomen Sukuna after Satoru Gojo couldn't. They also had to save Fushiguro Megumi from the King of Curses. That task was up to Itadori Yuji, who was currently in a heated battle against Sukuna.

Yuji threw a punch at the King of Curses, throwing him out of a window with a black flash, saving Ino from what could've been certain death, and quickly pursued after Sukuna before he could get any chance of recovering.

Sukuna slashes the ground, which makes Yuji avoid the ground giving Sukuna an opening for a punch, then a slash that hits his side. Yuji, unfazed, grabs his arm and punches him to a wall with great force, which Sukuna quickly sends out more slashes at Yuji.

He's completely unfazed by my combinations of strikes and slashes!

Ignoring the slashes on his face, Yuji lands a massive black flash against Sukuna's stomach, but with Yuji this close, Sukuna grabbed a part of Yuji's face for a cleave.

Yuji, missing a part of his face, hits another black flash on Sukuna's eye. The constant black flashes was starting to piss of Sukuna.

"YOU GODDAMED BRAT!"

Sukuna was then caught off guard by Nanami's weapon being thrown at him by Ino. "Kick his ass..."

With this, Yuji appears from behind Sukuna and upper cuts a black flash to Sukuna's back, launching him to the wall above them. Yuji prepared himself to attack more but before that could happen, four words rung the battle field.

Domain Expansion: Malevolent Shrine

Yuji instinctively used simple domain. He knew it would only buy him some time before it collapsed, so he quickly assessed the situation.

I can tell the domain is incomplete!

There must be an opening somewhere! I can endure this!

With every few seconds, his Simple Domain was starting to collapse.

Endure it!
Endure it!
Endure it!
"Yuji!" He hears Choso yell somewhere.

Yuji's simple domain collapses and he was starting to suffer the onslaught of Sukuna's slashes, losing a leg in the process. The slashes stop, which Yuji quickly uses the chance to use blood manipulation and RCT to reattach his leg.

The slashes stopped!

We managed to endure it..!

Yuji's hope diminishes when Sukuna was preparing for that fire arrow.

"Furnace, Open."

Treasure Town. After the time gears and world-ending-seeking Darkria shenanigans were dealt with—by Team Poképals of course—everyone in treasure town could finally breath in a sigh of relief, and enjoy the cooling breeze that has set on this wonderful evening.

Theif! Thief!

"Sheesh... t-those Kecleon sure know how to put someone under the spotlight." This Salandit spoke with ragged breaths. This particular Salandit was wearing a western hat, with a wild rag, a theme he so chose.

But...those guildies sure are persistent..! Gotta.. lose them.

With a plan quickly made, the Salandit zigzaged between passing Pokémon passed by many buildings, and with some time, lost those teams.

"Damn, that took way longer than I intended...sigh..., hope this is enough for those rasc-" He felt someone pick him up by his rag.

"Gah-wha-?!"

You've gotta be kidding me There were days he wished he could just evolve, to be taller, so he wouldn't be grabbed like a newborn by this newcomer that was a Croconaw...

"Ren Shabo, ya are hereby arrest-"

"OH just let me slide this once guildie! I'll pay later!" Ren began flailing around, but his captor ignored this attempt and began to carry him to the guild.

Now, if another mon was in this predicament, they would've attacked this guild member. But there were two reasons on why he didn't.

1. That's a crime

2. He didn't like to admit it, but he knew zero moves...due to his disability

Yes, he stole from the Kecleon brothers, but there was a reason behind it. If he did choose to attacked any of those exploration teams... his time behind bars would've been longer and that's a no-go.

"As I was sayin'.., Ren-"

"Stop with that." The captured Pokémon was starting to get annoyed with this cheesy procedure the guild members did when they were about to get arrest an outlaw.

Who even came up with that idea? Sure as hell know that wasn't what they did in the past..

"Ren Shabo, ya are hereby arrested under by the Wigglytuff guild for thievery. Ya punishment shall be decided by Guildmaster Wigglytuff."

"Meh.." He had a disgusted look plastered on his face for absolutely no reason.

Silence settled between the two for a while... until they arrived at the entertainment district. Ren couldn't ignore the dirty looks he was getting, especially the comments towards him, but the last one definitely hit a nerve.

"Mommy? Why did that kid steal from Mr. Kecleon?"

"I'M NOT A KID!" Ren fairly received a nasty look from the Azurills mother, who he was about to glare at before being heavily reminded of his condition when the crocodile shook him like he was toy!

"Behave ya hear?" He grumbled.

"Alright! Alright!" He hated this every second and that was about to worsen when he noticed where they were heading.

"Welcome back theif!"

"Came back with our stolen goods right?!"

Ren wanted to ignore these two, but was once again rattled against his will.

"Tch, here you!" The toxic lizard took off the oversized bag and swung it at the Kecleon brothers. "Happy now?!"

"Very!"
"Very!"

"Is that everything Kec bros?" The Croconaw wanted to make sure the Salandit didn’t do any tricks..

"Absolutely! We thank you!" The green Kevleon said.
"We want to express our gratitude by giving you a discount on your next visit!" The purple Kecleon exclaimed

"H-huh?" The croc was taken aback by this. Receiving a discount from the Kecleon bros was a first for him!

"A-ah, t-thank ya very much." Tone filled with embarrassment.

"Stupid, dumb, guildees, getting everything..." grumbled the small lizard.

"Take care!" Those were the parting words from the Kecleon brothers before the two began to continue to the guild.

"..."

"..."

Hating the silence, Ren decided to strike a conversation with the one holding him.

"So you got a name or what?"

He looked forward, clearly ignoring the lizard.

"Hellooooo, did that discount offer make you mute or what?"

"It's Eraphim.." grumbled the very annoyed crocodile. "Ya have an annoying voice y'know?"

"Yeah yeah, sooo...is this how you guildees normally bring small outlaws to justice? Pick them up and carry them around unwilling?"

"Er..." Eraphim looked around a bit, then seemed to ponder about it.

Do I sound uncool to not know, er.. was there a procedure for that as well? Gah! Theres so many things to remember! Man... I wish Aiden was back from his whole ordeal...

"I have an odd feeling you're doing this... incorrectly."

"N-no! I just forgot.. er.. that specific part!"

"Wish I was dealt with by some other team instead of a rando."

"I-I'm not some random mon' ya hear? We'll reach the same heights as team Poképals!" Eraphim did a pose of some sort, which made Rin cringe hard.

And mons' call me a kid...

Ren looked away from this and watched his surroundings for a bit. He could see that they just passed a café built recently, actually, there new things built recently. Like homes and shops for the increasing population.

Rin believed it was probably due to the popularity of team Poképals. As a matter of fact, that was his second reason that Rin traveled to Treasure Town. To join the guild and be somewhat like the world saving team, a dream like every other, but of course that didn't end well for him.

Since he needed a partner, he couldn't join the guild. Plus, nobody really wanted to team up with him due to his annoying impairment... except for one. But that ended terrible because of a tarnished reputation, and because of that, his friend was ridiculed for his form.

"Stupid. Fucking. Guild"

"Ya said something?"

"Hm? Must've been the wind."

"M'kay... y'know, ya kinda chill when your not an outlaw doing outlaw stuff."

"..Hm, same goes to you."

"I don't thin-"

"Shouldn't you let that weirdo look at your feet?"

They finally arrived to the infamous guild that was the Wigglytuff guild. A few teams passed them to do their guild work, with some glancing at two.

"It ain't weird...is it..?" Eraphim grumbled the last part before stepping on the wooden grate.

"Pokémon detected! Pokémon detected!"

"Whose foot print? Whose footprint?"

Rin had to cover his ears on the last part. There was something that he was proud at most of the time: his good hearing. On occasion, not so much.

"The footprint is Croconaw's! The footprint is Croconaw's!"

"Is that you Eraphim?"

"Ya got it! Here to bring in a theif!"

Any more pain to my hearing and I'll start biting mons'...

Being allowed to enter, Eraphim proceded to climb down the ladder until he reached the bottom of it, with one claw of course.

Ren instantly saw how busy the place was, with many teams picking jobs from either billboard, it was certainly lively.

"Hiiii Eraphim! Who's the Salandit?" Ren noticed the Sunflower addressing the Croconaw, he also noticed the second figure.

"Oooh, seems like their in trouble!" A cheery Floatzel waltzed in. Although Rin could notice this guy is wearing something around their paws.

Is that guy...wearing bandages? He doesn't look hurt. Is it for anesthetics? Weirdo"

"Sup Sunny, yo Roscoe! And yes, this guy stole in broad daylight!"

"Hah! Little man, you need to step up your end game!"

Why is he saluting...? Although I did hear he was pretty strong... jeez, the ones who are too overacting in being nice and kind to later be the opposite are quite the scary type...

"You lost in your own little world bud?" Ren then noticed how uncomfortablely close this smiling Floatzel was.

"Yes, and I was enjoying it before you interrupted it."

"Blah! The real world is so much better than whats going in that little brain of yours."

Ren deadpans at that, which Sunflora—Sunny—takes it as her moment to talk. "Why bring him here though? If he simply stole something in town recently, then why not take him to Officer Magnezone?"

"Eh..?" Eraphim practically froze at that spot. Rin, in the other hand, found it amusing how he got caught by a complete idiot.

Huh...he did say something about being arrested under guild. Pretty sure they only say that to outlaws who are wanted too.

The two Pokémon laughed at their guildmates simple mistake. That is until a new mon suddenly addressed Eraphim.

"Why are you carrying another mon like Eraphim."

Eraphim quickly drops Erin with a thump before meeting the gaze of a Lucario.

"Dropping them too, fantastic.."

"Argh, Thorne! S-sorry, I forgot how to handle 'em mons'."

"Excuses, excuses. All I'm hearing is your negligence."

"N-no..!"

Hearing this, Roscoe swiftly butted in on their conversation. "Come on Thorne, it's a simple, little mistake! Nothing to receive such hate!"

"Such hate is what actually goes through people like Eraphim here. They'll just keep making mistakes on and on without it."

Suddenly, the Floatzels attitude changes to a more serious look. "Saying terrible things to your guildmates isn't nice and is not what the guild stands for."

"Just because your in the same team with Ceasar and Rowan, doesn't make yourself higher than others. What happens if I told them what you were up to? Hm?"

"Like they're going to believe you." Thorne glared at Roscoe, who seemingly had a small grin.

"Well...certainly not Ceasar... but me and Rowan are buddies. So I tell that fiery monkey, then he'll tell Ceasar! Funny how words can spread huh?"

The Lucario clutched his paws seemingly out of anger, but their face showed no sign of that. "Hm, alright, I'll be going out then." With that, Thorne went up the stairs.

"Ya really shouldn't have done that for me Ross..."

"It's okay, Thorne is just a big ol' jerk just because he's apart of team Poképals and all." Roscoe gave some friendly pats to the Croconaw, which did reassure him a bit.

"Y-yeah, ya right! I'll do my best to not let down Aiden!"

"That’s the spirit!"

"Uhm, not to ruin the moment," Sunny interrupted. "The outlaw escaped." Sure enough, the Floatzel and Croconaw noticed the missing Salandit.

"..."

"...Ha... you think it would be quite impossible since... well... we're in the guild." Roscoe tried to lighten up the mood, his head seemingly becoming itchy out of no where.

Trees.

That's what Yuji suddenly sees after seeing Sukuna's fire technique.

Where am I? Did Ui Ui save me from that attack? No, that was too dangerous, and that wasn't—no, someone else must've taken me out of the battle? But... no. I just need to get back to Shinjuku before Sukuna recovers.

Yuji looked around, spotting a tall tree and quickly climbed it. He felt a bit... odd, but that wasn't important. What mattered was figuring out where he was.

When he reached the top, all he could see were trees upon trees. Everywhere he looked was the same.

Did they take me deep into the woods? Was I brought to Aokigahara Forest? That's... far. But at least I have some idea where I am.

Yuji immediately took off at full speed in the direction he thought Shinjuku was, weaving effortlessly through the forest, with just one lasting thought in mind.

Please... everyone. Hold on a bit longer.

Rain was starting to pour outside, a wooden carriage was being pulled by two Tauros, who were fighting against the rain. Inside the carriage was a Typlosion and a Gardevoir. The Typhlosion wore a vest jacket, with a blue scarf tied to their left arm. An X shape scar was plastered on their cream colored fur, which was hidden under the jacket.

The Gardevoir wore nothing but a hooded coat, using it to avoid the rain and to hide from other mons' when they arrived to their destination.

"Didn't expect that it would rain today." The Gardevoir closed their eyes to listen to the rain pouring onto the carriage.

"Kyogre must've felt say of your departure." The Typhlosion amused.

"Oh, hush." Gardevoir giggled a bit before continuing, "I'm only here to discuss matters me and the guildmaster are dealing with,"

"After that is sorted, I'll be back with team Go-Getters."

The Typhlosion leaned back a bit before speaking, "I was quite shock that the guildmaster chose me to escort the very women who brought the first human to our world."

"Oh be quite!" Even with the tone, Gardevoir had a small smile.

"Heh, but seriously, I expected the guildmaster to pick team Poképals for this... but I can see the decision behind it, their famous after all."

"Same goes with my team. If they were ever seen, I can't imagine the reactions of the mons'."

"Hm? I thought they retired? Gave the leadership of the team to the Absol, Ryker, right..? Because their like... I don't know, super old now?

"Actually, they did retire... to the public at least. They still do rescuing occasionally, that was in Jude's nature you know? But the main reason to their retirement was because of Otto being heavily injured during a dungeon..." The Gardevoir mulled over the memory of the bloody Charmeleon.

"Ah, you don't have to continue if it brings back bad memories!"

"It's fine, I won't go deep on what happen. But after that incident, Otto couldn’t evolve anymore, which still confuses me on why..."

"Is that the reason on why Jude is still a Wartortle?"

"Mhm, he felt that it was unfair to Otto if he evolved. Despite Otto denying that."

"Hm. Otto is kind of Ceasar now that I think about."

"Because their both humans?"

"No, not that, it's the way they keep going even though it seems like the world is against them!"

"Their perseverance is quite admirable if I have to be honest. I like to meet this Ceasar when we arrive."

The carriage hits a pit on the path, which makes the occupants inside the carriage jump slightly.

"What about Lisa? The Meganium?"

"Lisa? Oh, she's is doing quite good actually. She was the one who chose Ryker to lead team Go-Getters. Even if that old geezer was unnerving sometimes." The fire type notices the grimace on the Gardevoir face.

"Anyways, as you know, Lisa helped expand Pokémon Square to what it is today, and settled down with her husband. To this day, she still continues to grow Pokémon Square.

"Ah, what a lucky fellow"

"Didn't expect you to be into old mons'."

"That is a joke by the way. But seeking a partner wouldn't be so bad~"

"Aiden, Aiden, Aiden, your way to young for me. Plus I'm already in a relationship with a certain Alakazam."

"Sigh, guess I'll be single for a little longer." A chuckle escaped from the Gardevoir.

"Hey... how is the kidnapping dilemma going?"

The fire type could only sigh, already feeling a headache arise. "Huff, we've located where their being kept, and yes... seems like their targets are children."

"Oh Arceus... what drives mons' to go to this extent?"

"There are the mons' who are in it for the money... or the ones who do it for the love of the game." He sighed at the last part, the situation was heavy on everyones mind at the guild, especially for team Poképals.

When was the last time I ever saw anyone from Poképals besides that annoying mutt?

This whole thing is being taken care by one team. Although, team Poképals is more like a unit than a team...

"Anyway," she said, "how long until we arrive?"

"Hm, considering that we just passed Rainriver town we'll arrive—" He was abruptly cut off by the sudden stop of the carriage.

"What's happening?"

"Not sure... Stay here, I'll go check on the two."

"Alright..."

Aiden got up, opened the door, and was immediately hit by the pouring rain. It hurt like hell—being a fire type and all—but he brushed it off and used his arm to shield his face from the rain in order to see where he was going.

"Hey, what's going on?" Aiden addressed the Tauros who were looking at something... or someones.

"The path is being blocked!"

"Not to mention that we're being surrounded as we speak!"

So much for an uneventful travel... Aiden squinted around him, trying to see if he can spot there threats. Really need to get my eyes checked...hm? It was barely noticeable, but he manage to spot distinct lights in the rain. If I wasn't looking as hard as I am right now, there was absolutely no way I could see those

"Alright! I'll clear a path! Pick up the pace and get Omorfia out of here!" Saying this, his vents ignited in flames and, although slightly weaker due to the rain, used flamethrower on the light that was on the path.

The Typhlosion heard a few distinct shouts from the now ignited wagon, which the Tauros took the cue to run through the flames as quickly as they could.

He quickly noticed that the lights were moving towards the direction where the Tauros went.

"Oh no you don't!" He fired more flamethrowers at the moving lights. Each hiting with high accuracy to a point that Aiden was starting to take it as a game.

Eraphim does praise my aim a little too much. I guess I can boast about my skill then.

"You're gonna pay for that!" Aiden barely dodged an attack from a heavily scarred Dragonite.

Holy shit! That punch just left a crater!?

"Who are you and why are you attacking our carriage?!" He asked after recomposing himself.

"Like we'll ever tell a guildee!" A heliolisk to his left roughly said. This made Aiden highly aware that he starting to get surrounded.

"Hey hey, we can talk this out without any need of violence."

"Oh, but violence is key!"

"Actions show more than words."

"I'm gonna rip ya to shreds!"

Those were what Aiden heard before a louder voice shut them up. "ENOUGH!" The Dragonite then pointed a claw at the Typhlosion, "You are going to die right here, right now!"

Aiden already knew he couldn't win this. With the rain weakening him, his fire moves weren't at 100%. Not to mention he was severely outnumbered, and last time he checked, he wasn't a mon likr Ceasar! He had zero chance of winning this, so with that in mind. "That isn't necessary! I surrender!"

"Like that-" He was interrupted by another mon, who seem to be whispering. After their quite conversation, the Dragonite spoke again, "Alright, badger boy, lay in the ground, Weasel guy, tie him up, and sun looking thing, lead us back to camp!"

After what seemed forever, Aiden was now in the back of a wagon, with some of the outlaws either giving him a glare or a stink eye... or those stares... Ugh, what disgusting individuals I'm stuck with.

"Sooo, if you don't mind me asking... why were you preparing to attack us?"

"OH! That's because we heard a Gardevoir was-" The Pokémon, a Magmar, got punched by Watchog, "hEy-"

"Shut it! Bos-"

"Why are you going after her?"

"Oh, that's easy! It's because of her status, and her body, that sells well in-" That Pokémon was then slapped by the now-growing irritated rodent-like Pokémon.

"Wher-"

"ONE OF YOU USELESS MONS' PUT A FUCKING GAG ON HIM FOR ARCEUS SAKE!"

After that was one and done, Aiden thought over the information he was able to obtain from this, unorganized, group. I better be receiving something out this... okay, okay, so somehow someone figured out that Omorfia is in Grasidi. With that in mind, I hope those Tauros made it to Treasure Town... ugh, couldn't they have used something like a rag? But seeing what type of mons' they are, a metal ball isn't a surprise, but my jaw...!

"Oy, we're here!"

Aiden was pushed out of the wagon and into the muddy ground. He noticed two things, first, the rain stopped, two, he recognize where he was.

This place...holy shit! I. Yeeeaaah. I absolutely fucked over Ceasar big time

"Yep. Surprisingly, it was easy to leave from that point forward."

After effortlessly escaping the guild, Ren laid low until nightfall came. He was currently at a friend's home, where the two sat and talked.

"Huh... if it was that easy to leave, then what's stopping me from stealing those glasses I've always wanted!" A Gengar, Salvador, said. Ren and Salvador were best friends ever since Salvador was a Gastly.

Ren knew exacly what Salvador was talking about, those were around 2,180 poké! "Why in the ever living are glasses that expensive? They're just asking for mons' to steal!" Ren wondered how easy life is when you get paid every day, like how those guild members.

"It's probably how it's made... eh, I don't know, economics and stuff." Salvador just shrugged at that.

"Blah, to be fucking rich." Ren laid back.

"Yeah... I could use some money right about now..."

"For what? To buy more food? Seriously Salv, you're starting to grow a gut!" Ren chuckled softly, but noticed the serious look from the Gengar.

"Heh, funny, but seriously, I really could use some poké right about now. Money is starting to get tight around here, y'know, and it's getting to the point where I'm feeling like stealing is the only option," Salvador slumped a bit, "I care for those two kiddos, but I'm just not cut out to be a parent with how things are... I can't even care for myself..."

"Hey man..."

"Ah! Shoot, sorry for bringing the mood down. Didn't mean to vent to you..."

"No dude, you didn't anything wrong. Not at all! You took those orphans in and cared for them deeply! Better than their parents would've ever done!" Ren paused to curl up a bit to rest his head. "Plus, I 'provide' food to you three."

"You mean stealing?" Salvador chuckles at that, which made Ren roll his eyes.

"Eh, same thing, right?"

"Not really... but still, finding a job would make things easier."

"Yeah... but because you're a Gengar—"

"Yes yes, the guild humiliation finally open my eyes enough to understand that I'm fucking terrible..." Salvador hung his head low, almost relieving that exact moment in his life.

"Stop with the negativity. Just because one Gengar tried to kill the first human—not to mention they fucking saved them in the end—doesn't mean your like that guy!"

A moment passed before Ren's hat was taken by Salvador. Normally, Ren would have absolutely become feral if someone laid a finger on his hat, but since it was Salvador, it was not a big deal. Plus, the hat looked really good on him.

"Feeling better?" Ren said with one eye closed.

"Mhm."

"Say... where are those rascals anyways?" Ren noticed that all the time he spent here, he wasn't being pulled and stretched by the kids.

"Hm? Ah, they're currently away in a field trip." Salvador responded, tipping the little hat a bit.

"At night?" Ren deadpanned.

"It's apparently a tour of some museum in the next town. Some schools are going, and you probably already know why I couldn't go with them... what parent I am..." He shook his head, already feeling those thoughts coming back again.

"Fucking great. How are you not panicking right now?" Ren knows well how his buddy is with those kids... he definitely has his moments.

"Oh I am." He said it so casually that Ren thought he imagined it, but no, he didn't. "I was a total mess before you came... you bring a soothing feeling y'know?"

"Pshhh, like I know what that is." He moved his head to the side.

"Anyway, I believe they'll be back in an hour or so. That Koraidon—"

"What?! It’s way too late! Are they seriously leaving the town tonight instead of waiting until morning?" Ren stood up, not feeling comfortable in that position anymore.

"I-I—well, I do believe they should've waited until morning... the guild does have the funds and all. But they are being accompanied by some high rank teams! Not to mention that Milo is with him!"

"Bullshit! Do they not understand the danger? Especially considering what's been going on recently!" Ren was pacing while he said this, one of the attending schools was a preschool! Who were traveling this late, which had to be going against some law or rule!

"When you put it that way..."

Ren took a deep breath, and exhaled to ease his anxiety. "Sorry, I'm not trying to worry you... it's just, the choice is so stupid. But if they are protected like you said, then they're fine." Ren sat down, dangling his legs on the couch. "You know how I feel about the guild." He sighed.

"..."

"..."

"Heh, how about a drink?" Salvador returned the hat to its owner, shook his hand on his head before fully getting up.

"...Yeah, I could use a soda right about now..." He said while he rested on the arm of the couch.

"I could also use some sugar as well." The ghost type went into the kitchen, which left Ren alone for a moment.

Hope those rascals have a safe trip back home...

In the outskirts of Treasure Town, a young Treecko was currently hiding in a hole in a tree. This particular Treecko was different, as he had blue scales and a red leaf-like tail instead of the usual green. However, as to why he was hiding...

"W-why did those mons' attack us?" The Treecko panted. A few hours ago, he was sitting with his big brother. They were just returning back from a field trip their school had.

The late hour meant everyone else had finally drifted off to sleep. Everyone, that is, except the Treecko. He unfortunately had insomnia and without his dad there, he could only stare out the window.

His eyes then shifted towards their Koraidon rider, who was effortlessly traversing the dark which made the Treecko think they were incredibly brave—even if he still needed his mini luminous orb glowing beside him just to do the same.

The whole ride back was peaceful, the moonlight shined beautifully, the quietness soothed his ears.

All of this just made the young boy all the more eager to return back home and rest for as long as he could.

That peace was certainly short lived as a colossal wagon broadsided them, sending their own tipping over with a crash. Before the Koraidon could do anything, he was suddenly hit by a Thunderbolt, instantly being paralyzed to the ground.

"EVERYONE ON THE GROUND!" The Treecko noticed a scary looking Dragonite was the one yelling this.

His classmates and their two teachers were all surrounded by multiple Pokémon. While the Pokémon were yelling at them, his brother, a Grovyle, threw an arm over him, seemingly trying to hide him.

Unfortunately, the Grovyle's actions were noticed by the Outlaws.

"Oy! What do you have there?" The shiny Treecko could see from the gaps in his brother's arm that a Simisear had said that. "Not trying to hide treasure, eh?"

His brother simply growled back at the fire monkey. Tightening his protective grip on his brother more. But that seemed to have ticked off the fire Pokémon. "Listen here you brat!" They stomped a foot onto his brothers head, which made the Treecko start to tear up.

"Either you stop what you're, or I'll crush that little brain of yours!" Several whispers were starting but were quickly shut up by a Mightyena.

The Treecko noticed his brother was looking at him, with his head curled into himself. His brother kept darting his eyes to the ground, then at him. It took him a while to understand what his brother was trying to tell him—his brother was unfortunately mute due to their parents mistreatment—but he soon realized what his sibling wanted him to do: dig out and escape.

The young brother shook his head, but his brother just kept repeating the motion. "I-I can't." He whispered. That made his brother look at him with deep sadness.

"Don't make me repeat myself!"

Unwilling to let his older brother be harmed because of him, he started digging.

It wasn’t until his claws began to ache that he finally resurfaced. He took off in a random direction, running until breathing became hard, and quickly hid where he was currently at.

"M-Milo...Milo." The Treeko whisperrd, he felt his eyes start to water, but he shook head his head to compose himself. "No! Milo put his faith into me!" He got up and peeked outside to see any danger around.

"I need to get help from the guild!" With a deep breath, he was about to leave and continue on his way when he heard a sound that made him quickly dive back into his hiding spot. Oh noNo no no! Just go!

"Your value is too low for us, so considered yourself lucky. So walk away while you still can, and forget that this ever happen! Hm?" His captor menacingly towering over the smaller Pokémon.

But this Pancham didn't seem fazed. He held a deadly stare at the Bisharp, who seemed to be growing an irritated expression.

I better not get in trouble from the boss because of this

"I guess that's a no huh?" He sighed. "Kids these days thinking their some top team, it's time for you to learn your lesson!" He suddenly went to attack the Pancham.

Treecko closed his eyes, fearing what the outlaw would do to the other Pokémon. He heard a noise before he felt himself drop for a second, followed immediately by a loud crackle and a series of sharp explosions. When the noise faded, he realized nothing else further happened.

"You alright?"

"H-huh?" He opened one eye, where a pair of spiral eyes stared right back at him. "W-w-wha—?"

"Um, I asked if you're okay?" The gecko Pokémon nodded before he realized that he was being held under his arms, which was a stark and welcome contrast to the Bisharp from earlier. Speaking of which...

"W-where...?"

"Oh, I hit him over there." The Pancham set him down gently and pointed toward a fresh path of collapsed trees.

The Treecko stood speechless.

The sheer destruction was something only a high ranked member could achieve!

As the dust cleared, he noticed the Bisharp. He layed unconscious against a dented tree.

"Anyway," The Pancham started, "Can you tell me where Shinjuku is?"

The Treecko head snapped to the Pancham with a confused face. "Sh-sh-shunko?

"Shinjuku."

"Oh... I-I've never heard about that place... is it a new town or—"

"Town? No, it's a city."

"A... c-c-ee-ty?" Now the Treecko was stumped, he was hearing weird words... or words he wasn't tought yet.

"...So you don't know?"

"N-no, s-sorry... I only know Treasure Town and Breezy Town..." The Pancham had that same confused look as before. Does he not know those places?

"You're... weird y'know?"

"Says the speaking walking lizard." The Pancham rolled his eyes.

"Y-you cannot be talking! You're certainly are the weirdest Pancham I've ever seen!"

"A what?" He tilted his head.

"Uh.. a Pancham?" He noticed that he still looked confused. "You know! Your species..! How you look?"

In that moment, the Pancham started to look himself over, he didn't notice anything until he sees his feet and his chest.

Polish this dialouge, and the Pancham is Yuji Itadori—Post-shinjuku

For post-Shinjuku Yuji, I'd make him a little sharper and more grounded. He still jokes, but he's less goofy than early-series Yuji. He'd probably react to the absurdity of the situation while staying focused on figuring out what's going on.

A polished version:

"Says the talking, walking lizard." The Pancham rolled his eyes.

"Y-You're one to talk! You're definitely the weirdest Pancham I've ever seen!"

"A what?" He tilted his head.

"Uh... a Pancham?" Levi blinked. "You know... Your species! What you are? A Pokémon?"

"Poké—" The Pancham looked down at himself. At first, nothing seemed out of place. Then his spiral eyes landed on his feet and chest, which were quite fluffier than normally.

Silence.

"...Huh."

He touched his head, feeling more furr.

"...Okay. I must be dreaming... did I not make it..?" He mumbled the last part but the gecko heard well.

"Um... are you okay?"

" ..I don't know." He let out a slow breath. "If this is the afterlife, it's a pretty weird one."

He turned away and walked a short distance before dropping onto a fallen tree. Resting his elbows on his knees, he stared at the ground.

For a moment, neither of them spoke.

"Hey..." The Treeko walked where the Pancham was sat next to him. "T-that was super cool what you did to that bad guy!"

The Pancham gave an amused expression, "It wasn't much, just doing what I'm supposed to do..." He leaned onto his arm now.

"Wasn't much?! I've never seen anyone around my age being able to do that!"

"...Sorry, but what makes you think I'm a kid? You and that other person said it occasionally."

"Huh? Are you not my age?" The gecko tilted their head in confusion.

"I'm 15."

"W-whaa?" He practically fell over to the ground. The Pancham helped him back up. "B-but you're still a Pancham! You should at least be a P-p-poon-goro! A Pongoro!"

The Pancham chuckled, now sitting criss-cross. "What's your name?"

"Uh.." Now, the Treecko was tought stranger danger, but this, not-so-kid, saved him from being kidnapped, and he had this, soothing energy around! Was it aw-ru?

"It's Fylo!" He said while he threw his arms up, energy manifesting out of thin air.

Fylo could see a small, genuine smile break across the panda Pokémon’s face. "Mine’s Yuji."

"Nice to meet you Mr. Yuji!"

"Nice to meet you too Fylo." He scratched his head a bit since the formality was bit too much for him.

"Mr. Yuji, do you feel fine now?"

"I guess. I can't do much if Shinjuku... doesn't exist."

"O-oh... I'm sorry.." Fylo fidgeted his claws a bit.

"It's fine, I just hope everyone I know can make it."

"What do—"

"Anyway, why are you out here, Fylo?"

The question hit the young Pokémon like a boulder. His eyes immediately filled with tears.

"M-Mr. Y-Yuji, m-my—"

"Hey."

Yuji gently placed a hand on the Treecko's shoulder, grounding him.

"Slow your breathing. Just breathe." Fylo nodded and did as he was told. After a few moments, his shaking eased.

"Good. Now tell me what's wrong."

"M-my brother... my friends..." Fylo sniffled.

"T-the bad guys took them."

Yuji's expression suddenly turned serious.

"...Got it." He stood up, and Fylo quickly followed as he walked over to the unconscious Bisharp.

Yuji crouched down and lightly slapped the side of the Bisharp's face a few times.

"Wake up."

The Bisharp groaned, his eyes slowly opening.

"Wha...?" The Bisharp gasped, instinctively pressing a metallic claw to his forehead. He winced as he pulled it back, staring blankly at the crimson fluid smearing his sharp fingertips.

"Where is his brother?"

The outlaw visibly tensed.

"L-look, kid—"

"Not a kid."

"—man, if I tell you, my boss will kill me!"

Yuji sighed, his gaze lingering on the ground for a second before he locked eyes with the Bisharp.

"Look," he said flatly. "Just show me where his brother is. I'll go from there."

"Are you—"

"I won't say it again."

The Bisharp hesitated. His eyes darted between Yuji and Fylo.

"You don't understand. My boss isn't someone you can just fight!"

"Maybe."

Yuji shrugged.

"Maybe not."

The answer caught the Outlaw off guard.

"But that's not the point."

Yuji leaned back to stand next to Fylo.

"His brother got taken. So I'm going to help him."

The Bisharp swallowed. He couldn't believe this Pancham.

"You'll get yourself killed."

"Wouldn't be the first time."

The words came out casually, almost absentmindedly. Which freaked the mons' that were present.

"So stop worrying about me and tell me where they are."

For a moment, neither of them spoke.

Then the outlaw let out a shaky breath.

"...Old quarry. North of here."

Fylo's eyes widened.

"Oryta?"

"Yeah." The Bisharp looked away. "That's where they're keeping the captives, that includes your brother."

"There are others?"

"Yes, there are more."

"Why?"

"For money... well, for me at least. I only care for the money..."

Yuji studied him for a few seconds, making sure he wasn't lying.

Then he nodded.

"Thank you, Levi."

The outlaw blinked.

"...That's it?"

"What?" Yuji frowned. "Were you expecting me to knock you out after that?"

The Bisharp stared at him, clearly unsure.

Yuji glanced away for a moment before looking back at him.

"I know why you're doing this." That made Levi stiffen.

"I'm not saying you're a good guy. If you were, we probably wouldn't be having this conversation."

Levi looked down at his claws. His mouth opened slightly, but no words came out.

Yuji turned away.

"Although that doesn't make what you're doing okay."

He motioned for Fylo to follow.

"...Maybe it's time to change for the better."

For the first time in ever, the Bisharp couldn't meet his eyes.

Yuji started walking.

"Take care of yourself... and your wife."

Levi just layed there, stunned into silence.

Fylo was leading Yuji where his brother was being held. It was quiet for half of the trip, mainly because Fylo feels a bit intimidated by Yuji. He sounded like he went through it.

"Mr. Yuji?"

"Yeah?"

He always wanted know once Yuji said it. "What's a Shinjuku?"

"Shinjuku? It's... nothing special, it's just a part of Tokyo." He played with his tuft hair while he said this.

"T-oo-kee-yoo? What's that?"

"Uh, Tokyo is just the capital for Japan!"

"Jee-paan..."

"Hah, close enough..."

"Oh! Mr. Yuji! How come you didn't know your own species?"

"That's because I'm a hu—"

He stopped mid-sentence as he felt a dull ache spread through side. Glancing down, he found a blade buried to the hilt at his side. Fylo noticed this too and backed off from the sight.

Yuji looked behind him and there stood another strange creature, who was the one gripping the handle.

For a moment, Nobody spoke.

"...Seriously?"
