Current Time…
Friday

6/19/—
It was dark outside
1x4 was……tired
They've been way too tired lately
All they did was work all day and get absolutely no sleep
Their lab partner Azure keeps lecturing them on how its unhealthy
But 1x personally felt azures…...”Friendship” with Twotime was unhealthy…Well, it wasn't unhealthy, but it was concerning. At some point, those endless arguments had to mean something.
Jane couldn't care less for 1x’s condition because hers is the same, constantly tired and working
The only difference is that she actually can find time to take breaks and sleep
1x sighed and glanced at all the unfinished paperwork laid on their desk like a nice little reminder of what they agreed to do for the admins
Most Robloxians would be absolutely delighted to work on something for the admins, but 1x certainly wasn't, well not anymore.
They almost completely remembered the day they were called to the headquarters by Builderman

1/12/—
It was a nice sunny clear day with barely any clouds in the sky
1x was minding their own business until they got a lovely little call from Builderman
They answered it, rather quickly
-“Hello?”
Builderman's voice came through about 1 minute later
-“Ah hello 1x….I have a request for you and its important”
1x paused.
Why would the admins want something from them?
Being Telamon’s successor?
Maybe that’s the only reason they mattered.
Maybe.
Chances were low.
It didn't matter anyway. They didn’t want it.
Brighteyes would still be there. that would never change.
-“.....whats the request?” 1x asked, he was curious about why Builderman needed him for something.
-“It's easier to explain in person, can you come to the headquarters?”
-“Yeah….I can do that”
-“Good.”
Then the call ended.
So 1x got up and got ready…
What else were they supposed to do? Sit and ignore the first Robloxians request?
They couldn't just do that, it would be rude and disrespectful!
They sighed before exiting their house to go to the headquarters, it was going to be a long trip, and they knew it, how annoying, why couldn’t Builderman just tell him over call, it couldn't have been that difficult to explain over the phone.
“Whatever” 1x muttered out loud, and made their way to the headquarters.

At Roblox Headquarters
12:09 pm
1x walked up to Builderman's office, they didn't know what they should be feeling…
Scared?
Nervous?
Excited?
None of the above?
What they didn't expect was to see a tall individual with brown hair, and a witch hat decorated with an assortment of different flowers that were different shades of blue, purple, and white
waiting outside Builderman's office.
-“....” the stranger stared
-“........” 1x stared back
-“Who are you?” the stranger in the hat asked.
-“I……I could ask you the same thing” 1x responded.
-“....I'm Azure” the stranger or rather Azure quickly said.
-“……I'm 1x”
-“Good to know……..”
-“Why are you here?” 1x asked, curious if it might be the same reason they were up there.
-“Oh um, I was requested to be here by Builderman,” Azure replied.
-“Hmm same”
The door to Builderman's office opened suddenly, with a rather serious looking Builderman standing in the doorway
Azure looked at 1x
1x looked at Azure
It was already quite clear something was going on, especially if it seemed to be affected Builderman in a negative way
-“Both of you, get in here”
Both of them went into Builderman's office, as quickly as they could.
Builderman gestured towards three chairs that were seated in front of his desk
The two invited guests sat down in the chairs.
1x hesitated before sitting, they didn't know what to expect.
-“I know you're both wondering why I requested both of your presence here, but it's because I have something important to discuss with you, and it's about this…..”
Builderman took out a weird looking flower from under his desk that was placed in a glass jar as if it were contagious.
It was constantly glitching the red color shifting from a nice ruby color to a deep blood red as if it couldn't decide what it wanted to be, a light black and red mist came from the stem of the flower, fogging up the glass
-”what is that….?” Azure asked.
-”obviously it's a flower” 1x muttered.
-”well….to answer you question Azure, we don't know exactly what it is…….we cant confirm if its a flower or not because of its constantly shifting form…….. and we have no clue if its poisonous or not nor do we have any idea if it can cause any kind of side effects from being near it for too long…” Builderman replied, placing the glass jar on his desk.
-”oh….”
-”so…why did you call us here?” Azure asked
-”well, based on the separate knowledge you both have on scientific studies i was hoping you would help us figure out what it is” Builderman answered
After getting hit with the news of why Builderman called them,
1x could feel a great sense of pride and excitement creeping into their body
The idea that they were one of the chosen people to study something for the admins
and to possibly save Robloxia if it was needed was...amazing!
If only a small little part of them that was screaming not to accept the offer would shut up
Azure got up and walked over to the glass jar, picking it up and observing the plant
-"I don't mind taking part in studying this,” Azure said, setting the plant back down.
-"I don't mind either,” 1x said, standing up to stand next to Azure.
-”I'm glad you're both willing to work on this for me,” Builderman smiles.
The door suddenly slams open and a woman with pinkish hair, a college uniform, and a bag stumbles into the room, looking tired as if she were running the entire way
-”I….am…sooo…sorry” she took a deep breath “I'm so sorry I'm late”
-”oh good you made it Jane, I was worried you decided not to come” Builderman responded
-"I didn't expect a call from you today” Jane said, fixing her uniform to be more presentable
-”uhm….who are you….?” Azure asked, fiddling his thumbs nervously
-”OH! Right, I'm Jane, it's a pleasure to meet you…uhh?”
-”Azure…”
Jane held out her hand for a handshake, still nervous from being so late to the meeting.
Azure shook her hand and looked over to 1x
1x…doesn't enjoy physical contact
but to be fair the others didn't know that yet,
surely just a short hi will be fine…
right?
-”hi….im 1x” they mutter
Jane nodded and reached into her bag, pulling out some research papers
-”this is what I was able to gather on anomalies similar to that” she points at the glass jar
-”Wait, she already knows about it?” Azure asked, showing slight concern
-” ah yes, Jane was one of the first people I pulled for this assignment, and she's shown how useful she will be for this” Builderman answered
1x shifted, the little voice in the back of their head kept telling them to back out,
and to stop while they could but it was probably already too late to do that.
The voice in the back of their mind hadn't stopped since they'd entered the office
They ignored it.
Builderman had chosen him.
And if earning Builderman's approval meant spending months…..
or even years studying a strange anomaly,
then so be it.
It was better than chasing Telamon's stupid approval anyway.
They were invested,
and that was truth.
