Something with Sora and Arin couldn't help but to sacrifice themself for one another is a thing that happens to them. Especially when they were apart, the times where Arin mindlessly followed and trained under Ras influence. That also affects the relationship that they have and straining them for a long time.
Now with Arin on the tree branch, fighting this mysterious rogue while he is trying to dodge his attacks as Arin jumps onto his jet. “Get off of my jet, kid!” Rogue yelled as he tried to shake off Arin to lose his balance on it. While Rogue was busy with handling Arin, meanwhile from afar Sora was flying her copter to get close and attacking rogue and also saving Arin.
“Almost there… hang on, Arin” she said, blasting some shots at a rogue who perfectly avoided getting hit as he looped the jet. Almost making Arin fall, while he was still hanging on to the wings of the jet.
“Whoah!?” He yelped almost falling and down on his stomach, still clutching around the wings of the jet. As a result, he got a sharp glare from the mysterious guy. He then auto-piloted his jet and went out of his vehicle just to get to Arin, having his lightning nunchucks on his grip. “Persistent. Aren't you?” He then swung his weapon at the teenager, while he struggled to dodge it since he almost fell.
Sora gasped as she flew faster and closer to the jet, trying to go under the surface. But was then got blocked by the dragonians who attacked her, with no much choices she needed to defeat them first. “hang on there, Arin!!” She yelp as the dragonians trying to attack her, but thankfully she's successfully defeat them with Riyu came crashing the scene. “Riyu!!” Sora was shocked as Riyu holding back those dragons as Sora fly through him.
“Thanks Riyu!!”
Meanwhile with Arin, he's still holding back onto the wing as rogue already annoyed by it, so when he was about to strike the last one of his attack, they almost got hit by the dragonians. “Tch, pesky kid.” He was already getting in his nerves and strikes a lightning at him, which made Arin losing his balance and fall from the jet. “AAHH!!” he scream as he falls down, which got a lot of eyes from the ninjas and of course, Sora.
“NO!! ARIN!!” She screamed as Sora hastily opened her seat belt and the jet opened and jumped down to save Arin. The tech master quickly takes out the grappler gun and is still falling down towards Arin. “Hang on!!” She called out to him as Arin looked up at Sora who's falling after him.
“.... Sora?”
While falling, Sora pulls out the grappler gun and shoots it towards Arin. As Arin then reached forwards to grab onto the other hook of the grapple. “Hold on!!” She said as the line between them catches onto a branch, stopping their fall, but causing them to swing around each other. “Take my hand!”
Arin then grabbed onto her hand as he smiled at her, “I got you! Thanks for saving me.” He said as they hung on the branch and stared at each other. There was a deafening silence between them as Arin was about to say something, Sora already hugging him first.
“I'm sorry—”
“I missed you.”
Both said at the same time as the hug was getting tighter and they didn't let go of each other. After a few minutes, they both pulled away from the hug as Arin felt guilty for leaving her and the others in the first place.
“I'm really sorry to leave you behind.” He tried to apologize but Sora cut his words with her own. “No. Don't be, if anything, your anger was actually valid.” She said to assuring him to also make a point that Arin was right to be mad at the situation.
“Come back with us. It won't be like before.” She begged him as she gave him her puppy eyes (or kitty eyes) while taking his hand onto her cheek. Trying her best to convince Arin to not leave the team again.
Arin does not want to leave again. But he still had to search for his parents and Ras did promise him to show him a way to them. “I… I don't know. I still have to find about my parents and—”
“Then I'll come with you! We can search for them. And after that we could go back to the team!” She exclaimed, already desperately trying to seek out him and not wanting to separate again from him. Sora was never really the person who likes to beg someone, and this was the second time she ever did besides the time that she wanted to help someone back at the tournament.
With a big heavy sigh, Arin finally complied with her wish and he could see Sora's big smile as the two stared at each other longingly. The two then leaned closer as they closed the gap between them and went for a kiss. Just like the time they used to do before the tournament or even after the forbidden five attacked them.
Just like the old time. They were something, but different. They're friends but more than just friends but lesser than a lover.
