Chapter Text
Flame had always struggled to make friends as a kid, and that was fine! He didn't need friends. all the other kids he met didn't match his pace, they were all scaredy cats or cry babys. He didn't listen when his older brother said he should at least 'get to know the kids'.
"Flame bro, at least try to make friends!" Mane groaned as the eggs he was cooking sizzle on the stove, the aroma making a grin creek up the lions lips. "No bro.. they're all babys, and dishonorable!" The tiger whined, drawing a booming laugh out of the older.
"You and your 'honor' Bro, I swear." Mane chuckled, taking the steaming pan off the stove and placed the hot egg onto flames dinner plate, clicking his tounge as he tossed the pan and spatula into the sink and sat down in his own seat. "Alright bro, eat up." Mane grumbled, already stuffing his face full as he sat across from the younger.
"Whatever bro, like bro.." Flame complained as he dug into his dinner.

Flame huffed as he smacked branches out of his line of sight, prodding through the forest to see if he could find anything cool, which he rarely did. Flame clutched a decently sized stick he had found earlier, his ears twitching involuntarily when he heard a russle of bushes from behind him. "Who's there!?" He whipped around, pointing the large stick in the direction the noise had come from. He had expected a wild animal or something.. not a small frail looking kid with messy purple hair and pale skin.
"Hello bro?' Flame tilted his head, looking back at the boy that stared at him with wide magenta eyes "uh, are you good? Im not a zoo animal bro." Flames guard was slightly lowered as looked the kid up and down, he could probably take him in a fight, he looked younger to.
The boy shook his head and his eyes became slightly less wide as he studied flame. "S-sorry.." the boys voice was quiet and hesitant, like he was scared to speak.
"Uh. im flamefrags, you?" Flame turned fully to the boy, a puzzled expression still masked on his face. "I.. im wemmbu.." he muttered out cautiously. "Wemmbu? That's a weird name." Flame joked, a playful smirk creeping up his lips.
"Flamefrags is a weird name!" Wemmbu shot back, his voice snappy now instead of the scared egde it carried through the wind just a few moments ago."wow okay! Im sorry, bro." Flame fully took in the smaller appearance.
He looked almost sickly, his messy hair looked like it hadn't been washed in days, he had batman pajamas on that looked silk but definitely didn't feel like it by the way the boy squirmed slightly when the fabric tusstled against his pale skin.
"Do you wanna play?" Flame asked, earning a confused whine from the small demon hybrid. "Play what?.." Wemmbu questioned, flame hummed as he thought for a moment. "Like.. tag or something." Flame suggested hopefully, praying he wouldnt cry when he lost like a sore loser, just like the other kids Flame usually met.
"Mm.. y-yeah.." Flames smiled returned, his tail started to sway in a steady rhythm behind him, he quickly tossed the stick aside and stepped slightly closer to the shorter hybrid. "Okay, ill be it!" He said cheerfully. "So i.. run?.."Flame nodded
"Yeah! You run and I chase you." Wemmbu hummed "is there a head start?" Flame paused for a second, this kid really didn't know how fo play tag? I guess there could be a head start, he didnt look all that fast.
"Not usually.. but there can be." Flame was tooken aback as wemmbu took off in the opposite direction, flame was guessing he didn't want that head start. Flame quickly took off after him, giggling as they ran through the trees together. Maybe he finally found a friend!
:] ~
Flame couldnt stop talking about the boy he had met earlier in the forest, ranting to mane about how similar the two were, they both liked super heros and wemmbu loved doing crazy things like jumping over a whole river! (It wasnt that big of a stream but still!)
Mane was just happy to find out his baby brother had finally found a friend that matched his pace. "About time you make a friend" the lion chuckled, earning an annoyed groan from the small tiger.
Flame had finally found a friend.
I hope it stays this way.
