Chapter Text
He was falling. Falling off a cliff.
When Eugene asked if he would rather have a one percentage chance of survival or guaranteed death, he obviously chose the one percent. He couldn’t give up now, not when his uncle just died in front of him so he could live.
Daniel could hear the sound of waves crashing, barely having time to prepare before being submerged into the freezing waters. His last thought was of his mum, ‘I’m sorry for being such a bad son’. Everything then went dark.
Blinking slowly Daniels vision slowly cleared from sleepiness when everything hit him.
Oh god. Daniels breathing became laboured, he forced himself to sit up. Something felt different but in his panic he couldn’t exactly tell why.
Daniel hadn’t realised how loud he had been until he heard footsteps coming his way. Wait, footsteps if he had woken up in his second body he should be alone in his place. So why could he hear someone else?
He heard a door open causing him to look up and what he saw made him, and his panic to freeze.
It was his mum. But his mum looked younger?
The younger version of his mum came rushing towards him, coming to her knees and gently grabbed his face.
“Are you alright my dear?” Her voice held clear signs of worriedness, as she held her sons face looking him over.
Without thinking he crashed into her, hugging her tightly. She froze slightly before returning her son's hug, rubbing circles on his back and whispering reassurance that everything was ok.
Looking down at her son Seonhui was worried, what could have possibly caused her young son to be in this state? Letting out a sigh, she looked down at Daniel and saw he had passed out against her. She slowly put him back down, and covered him with his blanket. She stared at him for a moment.
He really did look like him didn’t he.. Jinyeong. Getting up she looked one last time down at her son before quietly shutting his door, staying nearby if he needed her.

It had been a week since everything ended and since everything started. Once Daniel had woken up again slightly less panicked this time, he had come to realise, one he wasn’t in his second body and two he was somehow in the past.
Fortunately it wasn't impossible for him to come to terms with, I mean he has or had a second body so why not time travel. Though that is something he is admittedly still stuck on, why hadn’t he just woken up in his second body? Did something happen while he was fighting Kitae?
Daniel shook his head, no, nope, he didn’t want to think about that right now. Looking up he stared at his reflection in the mirror, what looked back was a younger, less chubby version of himself from before he was trained by Sophia Noona. He sighed before turning around and sitting down in the middle of his room.
Daniel had decided to use this chance to try and change the fate of what’s to come, but now needed to plan on how exactly he was going to execute it as it seemed he was brought back to when he was still in middle school, and he planned to use this to his advantage.
Beginning with working out.
