Chapter Text
The voices were too loud.
They wanted him to kill and kill and kill and kill. Maybe kill others or even himself. He wanted them to shut up but they were too loud.
He just grunted as his spear pierced another wild hunt. It was too violent than ever person alive saw before from him. He didn't care. He needed to kill...
Kill and kill and kill and kill and kill...
Killing anything restless, like he always did.
[Kill them more! Kill everything. You will never be enough like that. Kill them all!]
"Shut up..." He muttered trying to squeeze it away from his brain once again. His spear cut through another wild hunt while trying to escape this madness.
He spun around hearing another one of the monster almost bringing it's huge axe. He just crouched, immediately pierced his spear right through were the monster's stomach would be and, with his full strength, made the spear go up, cutting the bigger wild hunt in two before transforming into a pile of ashes.
"Stay focused... Don't let them consume you, Lohen..." He told himself while panting but immediately winced as the voices grew louder and louder. He was going insane again at this point. He needed to kill...
He quickly grabbed another wild hunt — the last one — and with his knife, starting to stab until the two fell at the snow. It was cold but nothing he didn't grew used too while staying in Nod-krai.
He stabbed and stabbed, with anger, insanity. He laughed. This feeling was too good to be true. The only thing that filled him whole. He liked it.
The monster seemed to plead underneath the man's break down. It screamed, grunted from pain. It didn't turn into ash just yet.
His whole face was covered in blood and the purple strange texture that it was leaving. He didn't have a care in the world. The voices were still saying him to kill. Treating him like a puppet. Just pulling the strings for him to succumb to them.
But it hurt. It hurt so much... Lohen was so used to this pain now but it still hurt. He liked it but it was suffocating.
Stab. Stab. More laughter.
He was blinded by rage at this moment, rage for the voices not leaving him alone, for making him suffer. They wouldn't shut up for nothing! Why it was like that?
"HEY! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" Someone screamed while running to him. But that's what snapped Lohen to reality. The voices seemed to stop to see what would happen next.
Finally, the wild hunt turned to ashes. Finally, disappearing from it's suffering. Instead of Lohen. He just stood there crouched in the snow, knife in hand, spear not to far away from him, face still covered in blood and his face finally showed a different expression. Confusion.
Before he could look, he was pinned to the ground in immense force. Two hands grasping his wrist and two legs near his hips preventing him for moving or even get up. Just for him not to escape.
He shrugged beneath the person with a strong hold on him. He try to fight just to meet with the other's body near him to finally quiet down.
"What were you doing? This is a restricted area! You not allowed to be here!" The person screamed to him. Their face a bit close to Lohen's, still making the knight unable to move.
Lohen looked at the person. Silver hair with the ends near the nape with a beautiful red. It looked like blood to him. Deep light blue eyes with red in the center, he could get lost on them. A smooth pale skin, radiant almost like snow. And a red earring falling near his cheek, swinging as the other moved with each breathe taked. And then it hit him. The scent. Sandalwood, vanilla and cinnamon. A great mix and it was too good to smell it.
Lohen liked the smell. It was great but then it hit him a second time. An Alpha.
His eyes widened a bit and immediately went to his hand still holding his knife. The alpha followed his gaze opon the knife and put force into it for him to let go of the blade. Lohen winced a bit now his eyes going back to the man in front of him.
"There's no body but a pile of ashes, squad leader. I think its safe and just wild hunt hunting." Lohen didn't realized the two other man, dressed in nice clothing, were even near the two of them. He looked around and then back at the platinum hair. "No murder here."
The man stop talking. Lohen noted that he was an Alpha too, but the other one was a beta. He didn't mind actually.
"See? No murder whatsoever. You can get off me or I'll think you're attracted to me." Lohen smirked, his tone was flirty but a bit annoyed by the weight on top of him.
When the Alpha realised, he blushed intensely and finally let go of Lohen while getting up. He offered a hand for the knight to get up but Lohen quickly slapped his hand and got up by himself. The Alpha quickly retrited it.
"So sorry for suspection you for homicide, I'm deeply sorry!" He tried to apologize but Lohen was not even paying attention to him.
"Yeah, yeah. Next time don't go pinning other people on the ground. It could resolve into a misunderstanding." He smiled, still teasing the Alpha for his own action.
"I'll keep that in mind." He quickly said. "And please, do not enter this area again. You need to have an authorization by the Starshyna himself. So please restrain yourself for going to dangerous areas."
Before he could said anything more, Lohen was starting to walk away from him and picking his spear up.
"You're not hurt, are you?"
"No"
"You sure? You're covered in blood"
"Yes"
The Alpha's face twisted a bit but maintained with a concerned look. Lohen just looked at him, still not wanting to know the name of the man who stopped him, he looked up and down, and rolled his eyes, still annoyed about earlier.
"Can I please check if you have wounds any-" before he could say anything, Lohen interrupted him.
"If you're that worried, why don't you secure your defenses to not let people like me to enter?"
The other fell into silence.
"That's rude! Respect our squad leader! He didn't do anything bad and you're being rude and hostile to him." One of the 'extras' talked, defending the Alpha. Lohen just scoffed but before he could defend himself, the other stormed in.
"I guess for the no scent part, that you're a beta. I recommend not-"
"So what are you? A roach?" Lohen looked at him confused, not even let the second extra continue with his reasoning, then he smirked seeing the other beta not knowing what to respond.
"Please, don't fight with my subordinates." The Alpha warned, not wanting any fight to break out.
"And what about you? Scolding me for being inferior to the food chain and useless for it?"
"Wha- I never said that? I don't think like that!"
"So what is it? I am a murder who came here to murder people so the death could look like a wild hunt attack?"
"Please listen-"
"And then what? Lock me up and blame me for my secondary gender, as that makes me more of a murderer?"
The Alpha didn't had any more words to say. It wasn't like that but Lohen's arguments were too strong for him to say anything. He got embarrassed and lowered his head.
"That's what I thought..." Lohen spun around his heels and started to set off of that interaction but a hand caught his wrist, making him look back again. "What?"
"It's not like that! I am really sorry for thinking that you were a murderer, but the body movement, the laugh, it was so-"
"Insane? Psychotic? Out of the ordinary? Crazy?" Lohen raised an eyebrow, smirked and his eyes widen, starting to look insane again. He laugh, making the other two men flitch.
He quickly took his wrist out of the alpha's grasp and walked away, leaving the three trying to understand what happened.

Varka's laugh could be heard very loud at the Favonius keep. Very loud that every knight in there looked at the Grandmaster not knowing what was the reason of such loud laughter. His drink was almost splattered by the force of the laugh, but he didn't care.
But then he looked at Loren's face, seeing how serious he was, and annoyed, he stopped.
"Wait? You're really serious?" Then he laughed again, low this time. Lohen just rolled his eyes trying not to kill his superior.
"And you're laughing. Are you pulling a me card now?"
"Oh, I would never! It's just the alcohol."
The knight looked at the big glass of wine, were it didn't belong in that specific place, and then then at Varka, trying to maintain his glace flat. He would have to find something to make the Alpha never tease and lie to him again.
"Next time I'll put more poison on it."
"What?..."
"What?"
Varka fell into silence and started to look for something unusual on his drink while stealing glances at a smirking Omega.
"Did you?..."
"Unfortunately no, but next time I will. A stronger one." Then he fell into laughter seeing the concerned expression of his grandmaster. He smirked when he was done. Varka just snorted.
"You rascal... You're really a troublemaker. You will be held accountable if I die with your poison playing."
"Just if they found it out." He let out a more soft laugh this time.
Varka rolled his eyes and immediately set his glass down. For a moment, he was thinking. Thinking about what to say or what he needed to say.
"So, an Alpha pin you down, you found his scent good and you almost stabbed him?"
"Yes, yes and no. I wasn't going to stab him. Just making sure he wouldn't be an asshole..." Lohen looked away with an annoying expression.
Varka raised his brows for a moment and immediately frowned. He put a hand under his own chin and started to study Lohen's face for more answers. When the knight's face twisted and frowned, Varka could tell that was a lie, he was going to stab the alpha.
"You... I don't even know what to say to you."
"Then stay quiet"
"..." He fell into silence but the silence was too loud and was eating Lohen alive. Be he wouldn't admit.
They stayed for a long time saying nothing until some other knights passed while laughing with drinks in their hands. Varka saw that, saw the knights, saw the Omega being nervous and overthinking, saw the way he wanted him to talk. He just let out a sigh and began to laugh.
He got up, catching Lohen's attention, — making him even more nervous and curious about the sudden action — and then went to pick another glass and some wine for the other. When sitting down with the glass full, he offered to Lohen with a smile.
"Drink up, to ease your thoughts" Lohen just snorted and looked away again. He wanted to give in but at the same time not. He didn't drink, he didn't like to have his defenses down. What if someone attacked? What if the wild hunt approach them while drunk? Lohen didn't know his tolerance well to be drunk in the middle of nowhere where they would be far away from help. Not that he minded to fight right now.
Speaking of fighting, he remembered the strong arms pinning him down, with force for him not to move or even stab others. He was something else and that was awaking the need to spar again. He wanted to bleed beneath the strong man and make him surrender when Lohen finally won the spar. There was too many possibilities that how the spar would end up and he needed to know how.
Before he could think more, Varka put the wine in front of him again and almost dropped in his face and clothes.
"I'm not drinking that! It's not even the right glass. Diluc would kill you seeing like that." He commented before smiling menacingly "Not that I wouldn't mind see you all beat up."
Varka shrugged, ignoring the last comment. The grandmaster immediately gulped the wine down his throat, feeling being a bit drunk now. He chuckled while remembering the rest of what his subordinate told him earlier.
"And they thought that you were a beta? Not wrong to think but it's still funny. More fun if they found out. I want to be in the front row to see that!" Varka laughed louder this time, making Lohen smile in annoyance.
Instinctively, he reached for his danger, to finally kill the grandmaster when he could — but there wouldn't be fun to have him killed and no more spars — and his eyes widened, realized that the knife was gone.
He immediately got up, searching himself to look for his precious weapon, but seeing he didn't had on him made Lohen freak out a bit.
"I think I dropped it when he pinned me down..." The knight blurted out.
"Huh? Drop what?"
"My knife."
"Oh! I see. Maybe the one who pinned you have it?"
The knight snorted, questioning himself how he would get his danger back. Archons, how did he even drop it? Or even forget about it? Was the smell too strong for his liking that he was drunk on it to forget?
"If I know correctly, the way you described the person, and how the others called him, he, maybe, is a lightkeeper and will be in the meeting tomorrow. Just my guess." The alpha put the other glass down and stretched himself feeling tiredness consume him a bit. And then he yawned.
Lohen just stood there and his face twisted for a moment until he put his usual smile on his face.
"If what you say is wrong, you and I will have a few spars, grandmaster. If you're right, I'll stop poisoning your drink for a month." He quietly said, venom in his tongue, observing his superior.
Varka's body tensed up a bit but immediately smiled and let out a quick "deal". Lohen just nodded and spun around his heels waving at the blonde.
"Hope that you're correct. Have a good night, grandmaster." And immediately disappeared to his own tent for the night. Not that he was going to sleep, but maybe to think what he was going to do.
Now that he thinks, the voices gone quiet since he encountered the strong, mysterious Alpha.
He smiled to himself.
"This is going to be fun..."
