Kaufmo sat on the grass near Ragatha, her tears staining her face, burrowed into her knees, as sobs left her. He patted her back, soothingly, frowning at the shudder Ragatha was making.
Kaufmo paused in his comfort, reaching deep into his pockets to call out to the rag doll gently.
“Hey, Raggy, look up for a second.” Asks Kaufmo, nudging her. Ragatha peeked through her lashes, sniffling, peering at him.
Kaufmo produced a flower to Ragatha, its head a bit down, and proceeded to place it in her palm.
Ragatha admired it, sniffling a bit more, and was handed a handkerchief, thanking the clown.
She blew her nose, causing a trumpet like sound effect to happen as she did. “Th..thank you for this Kaufmo.”
Kaufmo waved it off, embarrassed, grinning. “It's chill, Rags. Besides, sometimes people need a pick me up.”
Ragtha gave a wobbly smile, caressing the petals, softly.
They sat in silence, till a spurt of water hit Ragatha's face, causing Kaufmo to slightly panic, diving into his pockets for another cloth. He heard a soft giggle. He perked up, as Ragatha's eyes shined in amusement.
“It's okay, Kaufmo. I know, it wasn't intentional.” wiping away the water, dripping off her face. Kaufmo patted her face with the cloth, his frown deepening.
Ragatha whips out the flower in front of Kaufmo, as it sprayed his face as well. Earning a honking laugh from him.
“Heh, nice one, Rags.”
Ragatha beamed, her tears dried up, scooted closer to him, putting her head on his shoulder.
“Thank you.”
He wrapped an arm loosely around her. “Anytime.”
