The storm appeared without warning.
One moment the small passenger plane was flying smoothly over the Pacific.
The next, alarms filled the cockpit.
Passengers screamed.
The aircraft shook violently.
Nathan reached for Jackson's hand.
Neither spoke.
Neither needed to.
They both understood how serious the situation had become.
Then came the impact.
When Nathan opened his eyes, sunlight was shining through broken wreckage.
His head hurt.
Everything hurt.
For several terrifying seconds he couldn't remember where he was.
Then the memories returned.
The flight.
The storm.
The crash.
"Jackson!"
His voice echoed across the beach.
Immediately he heard a response.
"Nathan!"
Relief flooded through him.
Jackson was alive.
The survivors spent the next several hours gathering supplies from the wreckage.
There weren't many.
A few bags.
Some food.
Several emergency kits.
Not enough.
But better than nothing.
As night fell, reality settled over everyone.
They were stranded.
Alone.
Thousands of miles from home.
And nobody knew where they were.
Weeks later, rescue still hadn't come.
The survivors adapted.
Shelters were built.
Food sources were found.
Life became a daily struggle.
Yet through every hardship, Nathan and Jackson remained together.
