Work Text:
Kira went home after a long day at work, he grabbed the keys and opened the door, finding his sister in front of him with a creepy smile. “Oh no.” He said to himself in his mind.
“You know what month it is, right?” His sister asked, smiling even more.
“It's June.” Then he paused for a moment, looking for something on his mind. “Oh.”
Kira moved towards the kitchen where he found cupcakes with rainbow frosting and mini transgender flags. “Happy pride month my strong boy.” His sister said with the sweetest smile ever.
“You don't really have to do this anymore, you know right?” Kira said with his gaze still on the cupcakes. “You already gave me enough support during my transition.”
“I know.” She said.
Kira’s sister was the one who was there for him the most, the one who helped him with the legal changes of transitioning, the one who was there when the dysphoria was tormenting him, the one who took care of him during the six weeks of recovery from top surgery, and the one who would AND will fight if Kira ever gets misgendered.
Kira looked at her then he started moving towards her, opening his arms. They hugged, a sweet hug that you only find with the most important person to you, a hug that feels like home, like if you were a kid again, tasting the cookies that your mom made, a home.
“I will pay you one day for all of this.” He said. “If you ever enter that emergency room…” He paused, thinking his words carefully.
“I will be the one, the FIRST one saving you, in MINUTES.”
She laughed before separating herself from the hug, and saying “I know…cause you are the best boy that could've been born in this family, the best lifesaver.”
“Ok, but would you please stop messing with my things.” Kira said.
“I don't promise anything. Come on, the cake really looks delicious.” She ran towards the counter, looking for a spoon and started eating the cake.
