“OH KATARZYNA~” Screeched the short man with a grin plastered on his face “How is my one true bestie doing?”
“I’m not your fucking bestie. Get out my shop Ewroon” The taller girl answered curtly pressing her fingertips to her temples, treating him like a pestering migraine that wouldn’t leave.
“What do you mean? Am I not your BFF anymore?” Ewroon answered with a sly smirk on his face, fake tears beginning to fall as he began his planned fiasco to make her feel bad for him.
“Dude? Just get out my shop. Its business hours.” The girl deadpanned, as they both looked around a very obviously empty shop.
“Oh dear Katie, how you hurt me so. My heart is forever broken beca-“ He began dramatically before getting cut off.
“GET OUT OF MY FUCKING SHOP!!” Ewroon inaudibly taunted as he turned around and left the store. “See you soon bestie!” He said playfully as he walked into the distance.
“Fucking bitch. Always pulling some stunt for attention.” She said under her breath.
Then a plan came to mind. What would happen if she just... did what he did back to him? Acted hurt and confused. Sad and vulnerable. Make him feel sorry for her even his his reasoning is valid.
So the next day the plan was put into action.
“EWROON BESTIE!” She sang light-heartedly, strutting into żapka and pulling him into a hug.
“BESTIEE! How have you been!?” He replied just as enthusiastically, snuggling into her blazer.
“Oh I am perfectly fine! But there is one smaaaall favor I have to ask you.”
“What is it bestie?” He asked eagerly, looking up into her bright eyes for the first time in a long while.
“Well my house is soo lonely at the moment, and I was just thinking about how all my friends have pets and how I should get one!” She said excitedly “So! Help me get some cats!”
“Err…” He said staring at her. “Well if you can’t already tell, business is booming currently so I couldn’t possibly leave the store…and cats aren’t easy animals to find y’know?” Ewroon said looking guilty. He was lying through his teeth, but she wouldn’t have to know that.
Immediately Katies eyes welled up with tears as she started at him sadly. “Oh that’s fine then. I guess ill just get them by myself...all alone” She said with silent tears and subtly trembling shoulders.
A look of worry passed over Ewroons face, making his face look more welcoming than it ever had been.
“Well, im sure just one day away from the shop wont hurt” He said, putting his hand on her shoulder for support and feeling slightly sorry for the blonde girl. “Come, let us go get you some cats!”
“YAY! Thank you bestie!” She replied happily, grabbing his hand and dragging him out the building with a grin playing on her lips
'E:0 – K:1' she thought to herself smugly whilst turning around to lock eyes with the Red Panda

As Katie dragged him around the island searching for cats she didn’t want, she made sure to make him feel guilty for almost saying no.
“You don’t understand how happy it makes me for you to help me Ev!” She said whilst beaming “I was honestly expecting you to say no, but im glad you didn’t, this would be so boring without you.”
Ewroon hummed in response to her yammering.
“What’s wrong” she suddenly asked, stopping to turn around and stare at him. “Did I say something that upset you?” She asked, feigning innocence.
“No Katie, you haven’t done anything. I'm just thinking.” He replied to her quietly
The tall girl rolled her eyes and sighed dramatically.
“Gosh you are such a buzzkill today. Are you like this with all your friends or just me?” She said abruptly.
“Its cause you hate me isn’t it. Ugh I should’ve known. I try sooo hard to make good friends but in the end it doesn’t even matter.”
“What? No! Where did you come up with that?” Ewroon countered with a look of disbelief on his face
“Yeah whatever. I’m gonna head home, I feel sick.” The strawberry-blonde woman said, getting prepared to leave the field they were standing in.
"Katie no! I didn't mean it like that!" The man said, but it was too late, before he knew it, she was gone.
"Kurwa" He thought to himself, getting ready himself to go follow the girl back to her house.
"Why do i even bother" He uttered with a huff.
