Sirius and Remus were currently in the middle of a rather nice snogging session.
The rest of their dormmates were either somewhere else on the grounds or in the Common Room, so they weren’t at risk of being interrupted anytime soon. They’d been relaxing together on Sirius’s bed and some hands may have roamed. Next thing either of them was aware of was the fact that they were having a rather steamy snogging session.
They hadn’t told their friends about their budding relationship yet. Namely because James would be a little prat and wouldn’t stop saying ‘I told you so’ and they didn’t want to deal with that just yet. Honestly, Lily would do the same.
And Regulus would probably tease Sirius about it a bit too.
The only thing Sirius would love about their relationship coming out (besides not having to hide their affection) would be his parents finding out, especially since he was living with the Potters at this point and his parents couldn’t do a damn thing to him anymore. Maybe he’d get lucky and they’d drop dead at the shock of their eldest disowned son dating a werewolf of all people. Not that Sirius cared.
Eventually, the two of them had to pull away in order to draw in some much needed air. They’d barely breathed during their entire makeout and were starting to feel a bit lightheaded.
“Wait a minute, how did this happen, I just wanted to cuddle?” Sirius asked suddenly, remembering the reason they’d come up here in the first place.
“How should I know? You’re the one who kissed me, it’s your fault!” Remus replied, laughing a little big with the residual giddiness the kiss gave him.
“No, it’s yours!” Sirius shot back, watching as Remus’s expression turned to bafflement.
“How is it my fault?”
“You just had to look so hot!”
“How is that my fault?”
“You know I have no impulse control!” Sirius shot back, the two of them silent for a couple moments before laughing at the entire thing.
"You’re lucky you’re so cute because you can be such a dork,” Remus said, nudging Sirius a bit. Sirius nudged him back.
“Says the nerd who spends a bunch of his free time reading of all things,” Sirius shot back with a grin. Remus just smirked at him.
“Hey, it’s given us plenty of prank ideas, hasn’t it?”
“Hm, that’s true.”
“Enough talking, I’d like to snog you some more before any of the others come barging in,” Remus said, gripping Sirius’s shoulders.
“I thought it was my fault that we had that snogging session?”
“It was, but I want more now.”
“We could always just close the curtains around the bed,” Sirius said, waggling his eyebrows suggestively.
“As if James wouldn’t just rip them open to see what was going on,” Remus reminded him, causing Sirius to laugh. They both knew James would definitely do that.
The two of them started snogging again, Remus running his fingers through Sirius’s longer hair and feeling the muscle he’d been building up from playing Quidditch for their House team.
Remus’s ears then heard a sound from just outside the door to the room, and he broke from the kiss (to Sirius’s confusion) and looked over at the door, seeing it was just ajar and peeking through were James and Lily… and they were holding a camera.
Fuck.
Sirius had looked where Remus had once he noticed what had captured Remus’s attention, and he noticed the two interlopers shortly after Remus had.
“Oi!” he yelled, jumping off the bed and running towards the door, chasing James down the stairs once James saw his almost-brother charging at him and took off. Lily just stepped out of the way and let the two go before walking into the room and sitting next to where Remus was, blushing a furious shade of red.
“So, you and Sirius huh?” she asked, a smirk on her face. Remus sighed and nodded. “How long have you two been an item?”
“A few months, not very long yet,” he answered. There was silence for a moment.
“Took you two long enough,” she said with a laugh that caused Remus to break out laughing too.
“So, what was the camera for? Blackmail?”
Lily shook her head. “No, more like memories. James and I are betting you two will get married. It’ll be nice to show at your wedding and for the two of you to have. We won’t show it to anyone else or tell anyone else until you’re ready.”
Remus sighed in relief at that, though he knew he never really needed to worry about that. “Should we stop Sirius from going after James?”
“Pfft, no!” Lily, predictably, replied. “He knew if we got caught then there was a chance one or both of you would chase him down. The only question is how long it’ll take Sirius to tackle him and which one of them will win the wrestling match that ensues if he does.”
After a few moments, they saw the two running across the Hogwarts grounds and started laughing at the scene. Sirius was gaining on James, but James was always really fast whenever they had to run for some reason (usually a prank).
“You’re going to start holding it over our heads that you and James were right about us, aren’t you?” Remus asked in defeat. Lily just flashed a sharp grin at him.
“Of course. I’m pretty sure all of Gryffindor knows about you two pining after each other. A good portion of the other Houses probably do too. I know Regulus does.”
Remus groaned at that. At least when James started crushing on Lily, James knew right away as did Lily. They just hadn’t gotten together until recently. He looked back through the window to see Sirius further behind James as they turned towards the lake.
“...5 galleons James doesn’t get caught and they eventually tire out.”
“I’m not taking that bet since I agree with that outcome,” Remus laughed out, looking at Lily. She just laughed right back.
