Final Girl [༒]

Summary:

[You'll always be their final girl.]

You never understood the excitement around the Winchesters, never understood why they were always the highlight of the day at school. One's got looks, the other's got books. Dean has this 'charming' and laid back side to him, even from him not taking any shit when it comes to his younger brother. Outside of that, he's childish and a little too chaotic you could say.

As for Sam? He's a bit harder to read, a lot more calculating and always appears to be steps ahead, even when you assumed he didn't pay much attention to you. Doesn't seem to be the kind of guy to surround himself with popularity and girls like Dean does.

But what happens when they form an strange infatuation with you?.

Chapter Text

THE EMPEROR

You never understood the excitement around the Winchesters, never understood why they were always the highlight of the day at school. One's got looks, the other's got books. That's the only logical explanation you could really think of apart from their family's history.

John Winchester being their father left no surprise, given that he's known for always being out of town for 'business' calls.  Not that it's your business, but somehow you doubt that.

Dean has this ‘charming’ and laid back side to him, even from him not taking any shit when it comes to his younger brother. Outside of that, he's childish and a little too chaotic you could say, but then again you didn't know him that well. Nor were you interested in learning about him for all the right reasons.

But Sam? He's a bit harder to read, a lot more calculating and always appears to be steps ahead even when you assumed he didn't pay much attention to you.

Doesn't seem to be the kind of guy to surround himself with popularity and girls like Dean does. More so, he prefers to keep his grades up and prepare for college, just so he doesn't have to depend on their-jackass of a father in the future.

As for you, you're not too much of a talkative or social person. Just a regular girl who's into art and reading, nothing too important really. You made a few friends along the way, ones who made your experience within the last few years better. Sure they’re a lot more extroverted and way more friendly to others, but that's something you'd grown used to over time.

Well, up until you meet those two.

You don’t appreciate the way Sam's gaze pierce through you as your friends introduce you to them. His eyes skim you, searching for any signs of vulnerability or weakness. And yet there was nothing but a wall blocked off to them. He knows a lot about you as Emma wouldn't stop blabbering about you.

"Lis' tells me you're great at art. Think you can teach me a thing or two?" Dean questions, though it comes off more as a joke. Your mind snaps back to reality and you're nearly thrown off until his teasing words process through your head.

"Oh. Yeah, yeah. Thanks I guess." You muttered under your breath. There's a strange feeling in your gut the longer you feel them there. Maybe it's just you being nervous about meeting new people, or perhaps your gut is right that something may be up.

The more closed off you were, the more curious the Winchesters were. With each attempt to make conversation, you keep your responses short and simple. The tendency to over share often leads to consequences in the future, something you'd learned the hard way back in middle school.

"I was thinking, now that my parents are out of town for the weekend….” Lisa trails off, her lips pulling up into a mischievous grin.

You don't engage in listening to her ideas of throwing a house party, despite it being one of the best ones she's hosted. Parties, pft. The thought of it wasn't really worth the energy to be brought into existence.

"Hey, you should totally come!" Emma suggests, nudging your side cheerfully. You give her a side eye, knowing damn well that parties were your least favorite.

"It'll be fun." Lisa adds as an attempt to get you to go. It doesn't help that your friends never peer pressured you into going out any of the previous times, so what makes it different now?

Sam's lips part to speak up for you, but he closes them as you slowly cave into going as you near the end of your lunch. With narrowed eyes, Sam exchanges a look with Dean who shrugs.
