Chapter Text

Enid Sinclair:

The day was beautiful and my mood was even better for several reasons.

I have a perfect family, a cute boyfriend, an amazing best friend, and friends who are just awesome.

At the moment I'm going to get my things from my locker so I can get to my first class, but as soon as I opened the door a little note fell to my feet.

I furrowed my brows and crouched down to pick it up and read its contents:

"You look beautiful in that pink skirt.” - Wednesday Addams.

I smiled broadly when I read those words.

Wednesday Addams is one of my best friends, she never misses the chance to compliment me and make me feel special and loved and several other adjectives.

I was so distracted re reading the note in my hands that I didn't even notice when my boyfriend, Ajax Petropolus, approached and took the paper from my hands with a smile on his face.

A smile that died as soon as he read the words written there.

"What does that mean?" Ajax asked.

"What does what mean?" -I asked with an arched eyebrow.

"Don’t play innocent, “this what?" He waved the note at me and practically growled and I let out a cry, because he used his alpha tone and that hurts omegas like me.

"This motherfucker is hitting on you with these notes and you play innocent?" He crumpled the paper and threw it over his shoulder, it landed, discarded in corner of the hallway.

"I'm going to have words with that arrogant goth. Who does she think she is to compliment other people’s girlfriends?”

"No, you're not going to do that!" I reached for his hand, preventing him from leaving, "It was just a compliment from a friend, Ajax.”

"A compliment from a friend?" He laughed derisively. “You’re just a fool who can’t see that, that girl wants to get with you.” I felt offended that he had called me a fool.

“hahaha. You took offense to a big fucking joke, actually, Enid. Addams looks at you like a piece of meat." He commented irritably and I had to hold back the urge to roll my eyes. “She would never look at me with desire” I thought to myself.

"I can promise you she doesn't look at me in any way." I said, trying to calm him down. “Can we forget about this and get on with our lives?"

"I don't know if I can." He sulked, petulantly. I wrapped my arms around his neck.

"You're mine, Enid.” He mumbled and I smiled.

"Of course I am..." I stood on my tiptoes and kissed him with the intention of making him sure of what i said.

Narrator

Wednesday wasn't too far from Enid's locker and although she couldn’t hear the couple's conversation, she couldn't help but watch them kissing and it annoyed her deeply.

The young alpha decided to head to her next classroom, but she didn't even realize that she was stomping and growling at anyone who crossed her path, until she received some odd looks.

The Latina sits in the same place as always and again lets out a growl of dissatisfaction as she remembers that her partner would be none other than Enid Sinclair.

The room was slowly filling up, but it was irrelevant to Wednesday.

Her eyes were fixed on a plant in the corner of the room. Not that it interested her in any way, but it was good for keeping herself distracted or at least pretending she was.

Enid said goodbye to Ajax in the hallway and ran to her classroom for fear of the brunette insisting on accompanying her there and also for fear of being late.

When she arrived, she let out a sigh of relief. The teacher was not yet in the room and her boyfriend had not followed her. She ran and sat next to Addams.

Enid Sinclair

I sat next to Wednesday and realized that she was staring at a little plant that is in the corner of the room, but what really scared me was the look on her face. This face is ten thousand times worse than normal and I don't even dare to ask why she’s in such a bad mood.

"How are you?" I decided to start a conversation to try to improve the heavy atmosphere.

"I'm fine..." she replied, but she didn't ask me how I was doing and didn't even look at me.

"I'm fine too." I replied, even without her having asked. "How's your day going?"

"Just like everyone else..." She replied monotonously and looked at me. "And yours?" She asked and I smiled.

"My day has been perfect. Or almost so. I had a small argument with Ajax in the corridor and he said something that made me a little upset, but nothing too serious or that cant be sorted.” I tried to explain when I saw her clench her jaw, I was glad that the class was about to start, or else she would have left the room and gone after Ajax to torture him or even worse.

"I woke up in a good mood and my father put his morning routine aside for once to have breakfast with me, my mother and my older sister. Olivia. You don't know each other yet. And he also brought me to school today and promised that he would watch the Barbie movie with me this weekend.” I was really excited to tell my friend those things and she seemed to be happy to listen to me, unlike my boyfriend.

"Your smile is so beautiful..." Wednesday commented and my cheeks flushed.

"Thank you..." I said with an embarrassed smile.

Wednesday Addams has that effect on me. She makes me blush and feel embarrassed with her compliments and also makes me feel thousands of things I've never felt in my life, because Ajax can be a cutie and tries to be dedicated, but he is not romantic at all and spends most of his time getting high.

"Are you embarrassed?" Wednesday asked with a small smile.

"Of course not!" -I lied and she chuckled, she knew i was lying. “I'm just not used to compliments, that’s all.” I tried to explain.

"I'm just telling the truth, Nid.” She said. "Your boyfriend is a jerk for not complimenting you whenever he can. You deserve someone better than him.” She said and looked again at the little plant in the corner of the room.

But before I could ask who that better person might be, our teacher entered the room with a wide smile on her face and another plant to decorate our biology room.
