Extra Note: For anyone curious, this is what Choi Ara looks like:

It had been a long couple of days for the boys. It all started with an idea that Bang Sihyuk decided to throw in the air.
“It’s a very sweet song,” he started, “We could use this as an opportunity to showcase more of your acting talent, Seokjin-ah,” he said with a grin and the other members turned their head to their eldest who straightened his back. “For the video, we might get you to be the main character again and we’ll just have cut scenes to the choreography with everyone else. How’s that sound?”
After a few more details had been discussed, the plan for the music video was officially decided. The members thought nothing of it. They were all happy for the eldest when they considered how excited it made him. It never even crossed their minds.
MV Shooting Day 1
“I’m sorry, who?” Yoongi asked as their manager led them towards the van that would take them to the studio for the shooting.
“Seokjin’s partner,” he repeated. “She’s a very lovely girl. Choi Ara.”
“The model?” Hoseok exclaimed with wide eyes and the manager nodded.
“She was very happy when we contacted her. She said she was a huge fan of yours, Seokjin-ah,” he said with a grin, “I mean, who knows what could happen?” he added with a smirk. Seokjin laughed and smacked their manager’s shoulder, feeling slightly embarrassed. “I’m only teasing,” the older man said before everyone entered the vehicle.
Seokjin sat next to the window, Yoongi on his right, followed by Jungkook, Taehyung and Namjoon behind them and finally Jimin and Hoseok in the back. As time passed, Taehyung took it upon himself to go on stalking duty and looked up the model they would be working with for the day.
“Ahh, she’s really pretty,” he muttered as he shoved his phone to Jungkook’s face. Jungkook widened his eyes and gasped as he pulled the phone out of his hyung’s hands and proceeded to show everyone else. There was a collective agreement before he finally handed the phone to Seokjin.
“Wow, she is!” he said excitedly, “And she’s a year younger than me,” he said with a grin. “Guess the good looking people are really born in this era,” he said with a wink to Yoongi and the latter rolled his eyes but didn’t stop the smile that appeared on his face.
The ride there felt quick and everyone felt well rested from a decent sleep the night before. Not only that but their choreography was more easy going compared to usual so they were excited to finally start the filming. Their manager introduced them to Choi and her team and her and Seokjin followed after them with his stylist in order to match the pair’s outfits.
“She seems to be very taken with our Jin,” their manager said with a grin and the others stared after them.
“They do look good together,” Jimin admitted and a fit of laughter escaped from the pair that they were just observing. Everyone raised an eyebrow at how easily they seemed to be getting along with each other.
“Alright, to the dressing rooms,” their manager said as he shoved the rest in the other direction. “We’re going to film a few of Jin’s scenes first and then part of the choreography so you can go and tease him once you’re done getting ready,” he added and Jimin and Taehyung excitedly raced towards the rooms, eager to make their hyung even more embarrassed.
“You’re very pretty,” Seokjin said with a smile and the model laughed and covered her mouth before she bowed.
“Thank you and you are very handsome,” she responded and they both smiled at each other.
“Let’s work hard today!” he said with a ‘fighting’ pose and she repeated his actions which caused both to laugh.
“I’ll do my best,” she said before they were both lead to a room where their stylists discussed the outfits were to be worn and arranged them in sequence for whatever they filmed for the day. They were given a set of clothes each and moved to change in their separate booths. The response they received as they walked out were a collection of ooh’s and aah’s which caused them to laugh out of embarrassment.
“Aigoo, you two really look good together!” one of the staff members said as they were asked to stand next to each other. They took a few photos before they were directed towards the studio for the actual shooting. Choi wore a pair of jean shorts with a white collared shirt that went up to her knees while Seokjin wore ripped jeans with a plain white shirt. They were led to what seemed to be a kitchen and Seokjin was in awe.
“This is so pretty!” he said excitedly. His eyes shone at what seemed to look like a newly renovated kitchen. Choi giggled before she followed after him and they continued to browse through the kitchen.
“You guys are naturals,” a voice called out and the pair turned their heads to a man, who happened to be the director and bowed their heads in his direction. They greeted him and the staff before he proceeded to explain the scene to them.
[ Scene 1 ]
“Hurry up, Jimin-ah,” Taehyung whined as he watched Jimin adjust his outfit. The rest of the members wore plain black pants with loose white button up shirts.
“Why are you in such a rush?” Namjoon asked and Taehyung sent him a look.
“Don’t you want to see hyung all shy and embarrassed?” he asked and Namjoon took a second to think about it before he stared back at Tae with a serious expression. “He blushes really easily remember?” he added with a grin and that was how all six men ended up at the first set for the shooting. The sound of cameras went off and the members were ecstatic to find Seokjin in conversation with the director, a slight blush already on his cheeks.
“Hyung!” Yoongi shouted and Jin looked up at them with a smile that nearly blinded them.
“You look so pretty, hyung,” Hoseok said with wide eyes and the other let out a laugh.
“Of course I am, look at me,” he said as he gestured towards his face and the others melted.
“We came to support you,” Jimin said with a grin and Seokjin narrowed his eyes in slight suspicion.
“Okay, Jin, let’s take it from the top,” the director said and the eldest sent them another look of suspicion before he turned his attention back to the scene. It started off fine. Choi stood in front of the stove as she pretended to cook something when Seokjin appeared behind her. Jungkook raised an eyebrow but then widened his eyes when Seokjin wrapped his arms around her waist from behind. She laughed as he tightened his grip on her.
“And now, turn around,” the director said and she did as was told. The pair laughed at each other and found themselves in extremely close proximity. Jungkook opened his mouth and closed it when Seokjin leaned forward and placed his hands on the counter on either side of Choi. She responded by wrapping her arms around his neck and pulled him close. Jungkook widened his eyes and began to move forward but was pulled back by Jimin. He turned his head to find the rest of the members in as much surprise as he is. “And cut!” the director called and Seokjin and Choi pulled away but still had their smiles on their faces as they looked at each other. “Let’s move on to the next cut,” he continued and the pair just nodded and they walked over to the counter. The director gave them ideas on how to start the scene and where it would ultimately lead to and the pair proceeded to discuss what they would do and make sure the other wasn’t uncomfortable with the ideas.
“What’s happening?” Namjoon said, dumbfounded, “Did that just happen?” he asked and he was met with a collective “Hmm” from the others.
“Okay!, Action in 5,4,3,” the director said and when he called out the last two numbers, chaos ensued. Choi smiled as they faced each other and Seokjin wrapped his arms around her waist. She responded with smearing whipped cream to his face, which left Seokjin in shock while she let out a laugh. She made fun of his expression until he pulled her even closer and moved to rub the cream on his cheek against her cheek. She laughed even harder as she tried to pull away. “Okay, Seokjin, now,” the man called out and Jin pursed his lips. He leaned forward and she held his face in both her hands. They both smiled as she leaned forward and before the director could yell out cut, a loud noise attracted the attention of everyone in the room. Seokjin stared at his members in confusion when he noticed the knocked over chair and a very obviously distressed Jungkook who had Jimin and Taehyung on either side of him.
“Sorry!” Jungkook called out as he bowed forward. “It was an accident.” The director stared at them questioningly but told them it was alright as they got the shot that they wanted but not to make too much noise next time. After a few more shots in different angles, the boys continued to seem on edge. “That was not fun at all,” Jungkook said in frustration as they watched their hyung get his face wiped down by Choi who had much too wide a smile for Jungkook’s liking. “She is far too happy about this.”
“I mean, I didn’t know the shooting was going to go like that,” Namjoon mumbled.
“Okay, let’s set up for the next scene!” the director called out and the others sent each other knowing looks before they silently agreed to follow their hyung around the sets for now.
[ Scene 2 ]
“Is this even necessary?” Yoongi complained when they arrived at the next set. It was a normal living room, a large couch with a coffee table in front along with a wide screen TV . A large blanket was folded on the couch and a pile of snacks were spread across the coffee table.
“I think I know where this is going,” Namjoon grumbled when a couple board games were placed on the floor as well.
“Isn’t our song just about loving someone?” Jungkook muttered, “Can’t they just stare at each other from a distance for the whole video?” Before anyone could respond, a voice called out to them.
“Yah!” Seokjin yelled and everyone turned around. “You better not be noisy and disrupt my acting,” he said before he pulled Jungkook into a back hug. Seokjin was in a pair of pink plaid pyjamas and black slippers.
“You look so comfy, hyung,” Jimin said and Seokjin grinned.
“It feels like I’m at the dorms,” he added with a laugh.
“Okay, c’mon, let’s make this one quick,” the director called out and Seokjin gave them a salute before he walked towards the camera. Choi suddenly appeared next to them in a white and pink striped pyjamas to match the other.
“I don’t like this,” Namjoon mumbled when the director positioned them on the ground to face each other, the board games in between them.
“Action!” the director called out and the others cringed as they watched the pair banter for the camera, smirks on their faces. “Okay, Choi look down for me,” he continued, “And Jin just stare at her for a moment.” Seokjin followed his instructions and his lips formed a wide smile, the look in his eyes so intense it made the boys uncomfortable. They’ve only ever seen the eldest act like that in the dorms and it just felt so wrong seeing him give it to someone other than the other 6 boys standing there. They didn’t know what to do so they just stood there awkwardly until the director yelled out cut. Unfortunately, they didn’t factor in the multiple takes they had to take of the scene. “Okay, we’ll move on to the couch!”
“I know it’s fake and it’s just for filming,” Jimin mumbled, “But does anyone else feel a little-“
“Yes,” the others chorused as they watched their Seokjin climb under a blanket next to a complete stranger.
“Okay, just do what feels right, pretend you’re watching a movie,” the voice instructed yet again and the other two nodded and before they knew it, Seokjin was snapped back to being extremely cuddly mixed with a couple of loving stares in her direction. He wrapped his arm around her shoulders and she leaned into him. He kissed the top of her head and looked down at her as if she was his whole world. He muttered a soft ‘You’re pretty’ and she giggled before she pulled away and threw a handful of popcorn at him. He gasped and pretended to be offended before he pulled her back into his arms and they continued to laugh until the director called out another ‘cut’, which at this point was music to the boys’ ears.
After half an hour of watching the eldest look hopelessly in love with another person, the other members finally decided to do something about it. The crew called out for a break and they used the opportunity to take their eyes off Seokjin and find their manager who was waiting in their dressing room.
“Don’t you think it’s too,” Namjoon paused, “mushy?” he finished as he stared at their manager. The other boys nodded in agreement behind him and Sejin just stared at them, confused.
“Boys, it’s a song about being passionately in love,” he stated and they nodded in response, “I mean, this is as innocent as it could be. What do you want us to do?”
“I mean, it’s great and everything but are you sure ARMY will be okay with hyung like this?”
“They’d love it,” he said nonchalantly. “But I mean if you think we should add a few different scenes to express the lyrics better, we could,” he said as his mind drifted to different possibilities. “I mean, if we do it right, we could even add a bedroom scene just to spice it up a bit,” he said as he picked up his phone and the others widened their eyes.
“No! That’s not-“ Jungkook started but the manager was already on the phone with his back turned on the others.
[Scene 3]
“You need to ease up,” Namjoon said as he elbowed his friend. Hoseok had spent the last half hour with the biggest scowl on his face as they did dress rehearsals for their practice. “You look like someone just kicked your dog.”
“I’m definitely not okay with this,” Hoseok mumbled as he crossed his arms.
“It’s not like we don’t feel the same,” Yoongi grumbled as they watched their hyung and Choi in front of the camera speaking to the director yet again.
“Okay guys, from the top!” a voice called out and they all sighed. When the familiar melody played, the six boys all got into their positions. Seokjin, on the other hand, stood in front of them with a smile on his face. He held his hand out towards the camera and Choi grabbed it from behind. He proceeded to pull her closer as they began to slow dance to the song. After the second scene, the director thought it’d be a good idea to let them play around with the scenes because of how natural they seemed to act. This led to a series of dance moves that the others didn’t even know, save Hoseok, Seokjin could do. He spun her around and pulled her close and she rested her hands on his shoulders before letting them wrap around his neck. He pulled her even closer and grabbed one of her hands to entwine their fingers.
“Sorry!” everyone heard Hoseok shout and Seokjin turned his head to face him. “I got it wrong,” he grumbled and sighed as they had to restart the song. After a few more takes, the eldest started to worry at how much the others were making mistakes with the choreography. Fortunately, the director called for a quick break after the fifth take. Seokjin pouted when he noticed the tired looks on his members’ faces. The stylists rushed in to dab away their sweat and re touch their makeup.
“Are you guys okay? Did you not sleep enough last night?” he said as the staff gave them water bottles and then left.
“Just tired, hyung,” Taehyung said with a wide smile. “Sorry,” he added and Seokjin responded by pulling the other into a tight hug.
“Don’t apologise for that,” he said sternly as he patted the other’s back. He turned his attention to Hoseok who still had a frown on his face. “Hope-ah,” he started and the other met his gaze. “C’mere,” he mumbled and the other let out a nervous laugh before he was pulled into another hug. “We’ll talk later okay?” he whispered into his ear before he let his hand travel to the back of Hoseok’s neck. He pulled away with a grin and suddenly the dancer felt slightly better. Once Seokjin was called away, the other took a sigh of relief.
“C’mon guys, we can do this,” Namjoon stated. “Think of it this way, if we get this done faster, then the sooner Seokjin finishes,” he said and suddenly everyone had strengthened their resolve to finish. After a couple more takes, the director was satisfied. By the time they finished, it was 10:00pm.
“Good job, guys!” the director said and they all thanked him and the staff as they rushed into the dressing rooms, Seokjin left behind to discuss the filming to take place tomorrow.
“That was a lot,” Jungkook said as they walked through the door to their dressing room.
“I’m tired,” Jimin chimed before he collapsed on the couch. “It was supposed to be simple choreography,” he mumbled and the others hummed in agreement.
“I can’t believe we have to do it all over again tomorrow,” Yoongi said and was met with a chorus of ‘don’t remind me’s and ‘no thank you’s.
MV Shooting Day 2
[Scene 4]
They arrived at the filming location: a large, secluded park and everyone was taken into different trailers for hair and makeup. Seokjin was attended to first so he would be sent to film his scenes ahead.
“Morning!” Choi greeted happily as Seokjin walked up to her and noticed their matching outfits once again. They stood in the middle of a patch of grass, the film crew already set up to begin.
“Did you get enough rest?” he asked with a smile and she responded with a nod.
“Touch up please,” a voice called out and the two turned their heads to find a couple of makeup artists headed their way.
“I didn’t get to sleep much honestly,” she said as she covered her mouth to suppress a yawn. “I had to stay up late to finish going through different headshots for magazines.”
“Well, after today, you can get a good sleep!” he said excitedly and she smiled.
“You know,” one of the makeup artists said, “The two of you look very good together.” The pair laughed and thanked her before they walked off and they continued to giggle at each other’s faces.
“We’ve been hearing that a lot,” Seokjin said. “It’s probably because we’re both very good looking,” he continued as he stretched out his thumb and index finger and placed it underneath his chin. Choi let out a laugh as she smacked his arm.
“I mean, you’re not wrong,” she admitted and their laughter continued. They didn’t notice the six boys who were gathered around the camera, their expressions evidently sour.
“They look like they could actually be a couple,” their manager voiced behind them. Yoongi turned his head and glared though Sejin completely ignored the others in favour of staring at Seokjin and his partner for the filming.
“And action!” they heard a familiar voice call out. This time, they were asked to act out a scene, dialogue included. Though unsure if it would be included in the music video, the director wanted to experiment with a few ideas he had in mind. The pair walked into the frame, hands clasped before Choi let go and walked ahead, only to turn around and face the other.
“Promise me something,” she said as she lifted her hand and stuck out her pinky. “You’ll be my shadow,” she stated and Seokjin tilted his head in confusion. “Promise?” she asked.
“Why a shadow?” he responded and she giggled.
“So you can always be with me, silly. Follow me around, always be there.”
“Doesn’t a shadow only appear when there’s light?” he said with a raised eyebrow and she puffed up her cheeks and pouted.
“Okay fine, then be my light!”
“You’re not making any sense,” he said with a shake of his head though not withholding a smile. He sighed before he brought up his own pinky and entwined it with hers. She smiled and he leaned down and pressed his lips against her finger. She scrunched up her face and laughed before she lightly pushed his shoulder.
“We aren’t filming a drama,” Taehyung whispered into Jungkook’s ear. “What is happening?” he whined.
“And cut!”
[Scene 5]
After filming the boys do their choreography at the park (luckily for the boys it was just the normal choreography version with Seokjin in his position), they headed back to the studio to do a few more shots of the choreography as well as the last scene for the couple of the MV to film that was added last minute. The boys immediately regretted speaking to Sejin that day as once they arrived on set. It included a large empty room with a queen size mattress on the ground in the middle of it.
“Remember, don’t be too daring,” the director said as they were both stood in front of him with determined looks on their faces. Seokjin was in a well fit long sleeve white shirt with a pair of black jogging pants with his glasses on. Choi was wearing a grey hoodie with matching pants and her hair let down, slightly wavy.
“We can do this,” Seokjin muttered to her and she nodded. “Fighting,” he said as he lifted his fist and she repeated the action.
“Yoongi-hyung, you have to calm down,” Hoseok muttered though his grip on his hyung’s arm suggested he needed to do the same. Yoongi couldn’t stand still. He kept shifting from side to side, moving his hands in and out of his pockets and almost going so far as to start pacing behind the camera.
“It’ll be over soon,” Namjoon said weakly as they watched Seokjin and Choi sit on the bed, facing each other. She removed his glasses for him and he shot her a smile.
“I don’t know if I can watch this,” Jimin muttered with a pout. “It’s just too weird.”
“You’re telling me,” Yoongi said under his breath. “It just doesn’t feel right.”
Seokjin laid on his stomach on the bed, followed by Choi who laid on her back next to him and they both had smiles across their faces. The girl laced their fingers together and Seokjin leaned down and let his nose brush against her cheek while she giggled. He pulled away to stare at her briefly and she wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him closer. Their foreheads were pressed together and he smiled.
“This is great, Seokjin-ah,” the director called out. The pair proceeded to giggle and send each other glances filled with so much love you’d think it was genuine. “Perfect!” the man called out but a few others didn’t seem to think so. Behind him stood six men, whose expressions could only be read as a cross between longing and a hint of irritation. “Okay, cut!” he finally called out and no one missed the visible sighs of relief from the six behind the camera.
“Don’t worry, boys, just a couple more takes and we’ll film the choreography soon,” Sejin said as he appeared next to them. “Seokjin is doing really well. We should really start to pitch in ideas for roles he could do in some dramas.” They prayed the day would just move faster.
Their choreography was done flawlessly. They were all determined to get the filming done as fast as possible so they could just go home and be alone with their hyung. There were a couple takes where the director said “try to relax your facial expressions more, this is a love song so maybe try not to look like you’re about to head into battle” which caused the other members to flush when they realised how serious they’d become.
The ride home was quiet and it only worried Seokjin even more after the last couple days. They were being unusually tired and clingy with him and each other. The second they walked through the door, they didn’t waste time.
“You know, I can’t exactly eat if you’re all just draping yourselves over me,” he said as he was suddenly engulfed in a tight group hug from the maknae line.
“We missed you, hyung,” Taehyung mumbled and the eldest laughed.
“You were with me the whole day,” he said with a shake of his head. “Now let go so I can eat,” he said before he managed to escape their grips, much to the other members' dismay.
“Hyung won’t let us hug him,” Jimin whined as he grabbed Hoseok’s arm and burried his face into it. Hoseok patted Jimin’s back before he rubbed it soothingly. Seokjin watched the action in worry, knowing Jimin only particularly acts like this, usually around Hoseok, when he’s either extremely tired or upset over something. Before he could say anything, he felt someone grab his hand and drag him away.
“Namjoon?” Seokjin asked as he was taken into the kitchen. The other just tightened his grip on the other before planting a quick kiss on his hyung’s cheek. “What was that for?” he said with a smile and Namjoon just shook his head.
“Hyung, here!” Jungkook suddenly called as he held out a plate of leftover food in front of him. Seokjin raised his eyebrows at the sudden appearance of the maknae but didn’t question it. Namjoon led him towards the table and released his hand before he headed towards the fridge for more food while Taehyung walked into the room with a determined look on his face as he set the table. Seokjin giggled at the serious look on his face, as if setting the table was the most important thing in that one moment.
“Are you guys really okay?” Seokjin asked as the others took seats around the table. “You’re all acting kinda weird,” he added as he tilted his head.
“Just tired, hyung,” Yoongi mumbled before he decided to shift his attention to the food. The others followed his example and Seokjin just sighed. That night, they all ended up sleeping in Yoongi and Seokjin’s room, everyone sprawled across the floor so they were next to each other, the beds left alone. They only ever did this during special occasions or if someone was especially upset that day. Seokjin made it his mission to make everyone feel comfortable and content before they were all lulled to sleep by the soft sounds coming from the television. Seokjin was placed in the middle of the room, Yoongi and Jimin on either side of him. Hoseok had Jimin wrapped in his arms with his back pressed up against Namjoon while Jungkook laid close enough to Yoongi for their arms to touch while Taehyung was draped over him.
“You’re all very clingy today,” the eldest whispered to Yoongi, who he knew was awake. The younger shifted to face his hyung. “And you’re usually at the studio at this time. What gives?” he added and stared straight into the younger’s eyes, though he couldn’t see his face in the dark.
“We just wanted to be close to you, hyung,” Yoongi responded, half asleep. “And aren’t you the one always telling me to take a break?”
“I’m just worried,” Seokjin said before he raised his hand and rested it on the other’s cheek. “I don’t want you to push yourselves too hard, okay?” he said before he leaned forward and pressed a light kiss against Yoongi’s forehead.
“The same goes for you, hyung,” Yoongi mumbled with his eyes closed. After that day, everything went back to normal. It’s like their mood from the last few days disappeared altogether. Seokjin figured they all just needed to be recharged with cuddles so he left it at that and gave them what they wanted, not that he had any complaints.
MV Release Day
“Do we have to?” Yoongi asked as his manager stood in front of all seven of them, a laptop in his hands and their manager sighed in response.
“They love reaction videos, Yoongi-ah,” he stated. “Besides, you were all up for it last time? What’s wrong with this one?” he asked, confused. No response was given so he just shrugged and placed the laptop in front of the group. Suddenly, everyone felt uncomfortable and Seokjin was oblivious. He sat in the middle, excited to see what they all worked so hard for. The others were crowded around him though reluctant to keep their eyes on the screen.
“Okay, I’ll leave you guys to it. I have to speak to Bang PD before we release it,” he said as he walked out the door to leave the boys alone along with a camera set up in front of them to film their reactions. Namjoon spoke to the camera briefly about what they were going to do until the only thing left to do was press play and watch.
It started off simple, each member being showcased in different places and then a short few seconds of their choreography. The boys all exclaimed at how pretty everything was and how everyone looked so handsome. Then it cut to the scenes with Seokjin and everyone went silent. Seokjin covered his face in embarrassment and couldn’t stop himself from laughing as the video continued to play. The other members couldn’t help but smile at the sound of their hyung laughing and they tried to tease him but their hearts weren’t in it. After a couple more minutes, Seokjin began to notice he was the only one showing any real reaction. The song ended and the others clapped but then a polaroid of Seokjin and Choi was displayed at the last couple seconds where Jin is holding the camera and Choi had her lips pressed against his cheek.
“When did you take that?” Jungkook asked, his eyes wide.
“The director thought it would be a nice touch to end the video,” Seokjin replied nonchalantly as he clasped his hands together and looked at the camera. “So, that was our reaction! I think this displays my handsomeness even more, don’t you think?” he asked as he rose his hand to rest on his cheek. When no one responded, he furrowed his brows before he looked around him and they all had their eyes glued to the screen. “What is wrong with you guys?”
“What? Nothing,” Yoongi said as he shifted his gaze to the wall.
“Yah, do you really have nothing to say about our video?” he said, a little irritated. “Your hyung worked hard for it.”
“You did really well, hyung,” Jimin whined, “We just- It’s not-“
‘It’s weird,” Yoongi stated and Seokjin just looked around at the others in confusion.
“What are you-“
“It just didn’t feel right, watching you act like that with her,” Taehyung said in one breath that the eldest nearly missed it.
“What?”
“You did really well hyung!” Hoseok said when he noticed the slightly hurt look on their hyung’s face. “He just meant that-We just didn’t feel comfortable seeing you act so-“
“Intimate with someone else,” Namjoon finished and the room was filled with silence.
“Is that what all this was about?” Seokjin said as he stood from his chair to stare at all of them, “Really?”
“We know, we’re being stupid but you’re a really really good actor, hyung,” Jimin mumbled, “And it didn’t help that she was too.”
“You idiots,” Seokjin said as he rolled his eyes. He sat back down and pulled the laptop closer. “We are watching this again,” he said in a serious tone. “And this time, you have to pay attention.” The other members looked at each other in confusion but complied to their eldest’s wishes.
Once the video reached the part where the montages began to appear, Seokjin paused it at a particular moment: the kitchen scene. He sighed.
“Do you know how I filmed this?”
“Hyung, we were all there,” Jungkook said as he looked at the screen, somewhat uncomfortably.
“No, I’m talking about how I acted like this so well,” Seokjin said as he turned to look straight at their maknae. Jungkook looked slightly taken aback at the sudden gaze he was shot but he shook his head nonetheless. “I thought of you, JK,” Seokjin said with a wide smile. “I thought of all those times you helped me in the kitchen, when you would help me cook everything for the others but we’d always end up messing around on the counter. I thought of how beautiful you looked laughing in my arms.” Jungkook’s eyes were so wide, you’d think he saw a ghost. “I focused on the thoughts I had when all I wanted to do was turn the stove off and keep kissing you because nothing would feel more right to do in that moment.”
“I-hyung-“ Jungkook started but Seokjin turned back around.
“I’m not finished,” he stated. As the video continued, he continued to pause at random part of the montage.
Scene 2: Boardgames and Movie
“Namjoonie, our precious leader, I thought of all those times you tried so hard to teach me how to play a few games or get me to read a few books and I would have to listen to you explain it to me a couple times. You never noticed but that look, right there,” he said as he pointed at the screen, “That’s what I look like when I look at you,” he said with a serious expression. “You’re always so patient with me, Joonie and I’m always so thankful you go through the effort. I kept thinking about how thankful I was to have someone as intelligent and kind as you in my life.” Namjoon looked down, overwhelmed.
“And our Jiminie,” he continued as he shifted his gaze to him. Jimin looked like a deer caught in headlights. “Those late nights when I couldn’t sleep or even when I just tired or stressed, you would just put on a movie and pull me onto the couch. You never hounded me for questions or deny me of cuddles. I’d never felt so comfortable and at home when I was with you.” Jimin bit his lip as images flashed through his head. “Those moments, late at night, where all we would do was stare at each other instead of the movie and we’d always end up either making out or just simply looking at each other. Our fingers dancing around each other and the smiles you would send me that get my heart beating so fast. You’re warm, Jiminie, You’re home.” Jimin’s eyes glistened.
Scene 3: Dance
“Hoseok,” Seokjin scolded, “I thought you would’ve noticed, what with the dancing I was doing.”
“I didn’t really think-“
“No you didn’t,” he interrupted but smiled when Hoseok pouted. “Hoseok,” he started and the other was already tearing up. “I’m so grateful at how patient you are with me, especially when it comes to dancing. You always encourage me and help me practice and when we dance together, it just feels like the two of us have shifted into a completely different universe. I didn’t do the whole choreography because those moments are ours and ours alone but the parts I did do, all I thought about was how much you make me happy. Being so close and intimate with you, letting you lead my body and me following like I was made to dance with you, it just felt so right. I was so overwhelmed thinking about it that that’s when the director had to cut and told me to lower the intensity. You really are my hope, Hoseokie. You’re my sunshine,” he paused, “You’re our sunshine.” Hoseok looked about ready to cry.
Scene 4: Park
“Tae tae,” Seokjin started and Taehyung bit his lip, worried that he would end up crying at whatever he said. “Sometimes you say the strangest things or ask the strangest questions,” he paused and smiled at a memory,”I’m always so stunned by the things you say but when you think about it, none of them are strange at all. I love listening to what’s in that head of yours, Taehyungie. Your hyung loves all those random conversations we have. That moment,” he said as he gestured towards the screen, “That kiss on the hand, it happened a few times didn’t it? Whenever we made promises? Our Taehyungie, you see the world in such a wonderful light and I wish I could see what you see but the snippets I get? They’re more than enough. When I held her hand and stared into her eyes, I laughed because it made me realise how strange we must have looked to others watching us do such a thing but thinking about it just melted my heart. You are such a unique and precious gift to us and that was all that was swimming through my mind when we were filming that scene and I guess you didn’t notice me throwing glances back at you at the time either.” Taehyung simply shook his head and directed his gaze to the ground.
Scene 5: Bedroom
“My Yoongichi!” he exclaimed and Yoongi scowled at the name. Seokjin laughed before he looked back at the screen and then again at Yoongi. “Do you really not see it?” he asked with a small smile and Yoongi pursed his lips. “That moment, I kind of lost myself. I kept going back to those nights when we would somehow end up in each other’s beds and we wouldn’t talk or anything but just be with each other. Those intimate touches, the looks, the silence, the comfort. Yoongi, I treasure those moments between us the most. It’s like we can read each other’s minds and I feel like I’m in a dream because it never feels real. Having you in my arms, it just feels like I’ve reached heaven. Giggling under the sheets, giving each other random kisses but most of all, when we just look at each other and we just know,” he stops himself because Seokjin’s reached that point where he can’t put it into words, “I love you,” he said and Yoongi suddenly can’t breathe.
“All of you,” Seokjin said with a big smile and tears now in his eyes. “I love you,” he repeated and suddenly he found himself in the middle of a group hug. “I love you,” he said again. One after another, they tried to convey their feelings with a kiss. Words of endearment were whispered and suddenly, Hoseok is crying again and the others try to comfort him.
“Uhm,” Jungkook started after he quickly wiped his tears away. He turned his attention across the room. Everyone froze before they looked up at Jungkook then in the direction he was looking at. “Has that been recording the entire time?” Seokjin widened his eyes and practically jumped out of his seat, followed by the others and they were suddenly in a state of chaos.
When the manager came in to ask if they had finished, he received a collective ‘No!’ and didn’t question it as he backed out of the room, hands up in defense. Namjoon looked stressed as he watched Yoongi attempt to remove the footage and eventually he did. An hour later, the music video was released and at that point, no one could watch it without getting too emotional.
“I didn't think you guys would like it that much,” Sejin said when he noticed the flushed looks on their faces. “Our Jin here is an excellent actor, I think,” he continued and the others agreed.
After everything was released, they all decided to head to bed due to the long, tiring day and the need to calm down after everything, and later in the night, if Seokjin heard their music video playing loudly from each of the members’ rooms when he walked past them towards the kitchen to get a glass of water, he didn’t mention it.
End.
