In a normal family of beta parents the common equation was a chance of 85% to have a beta offspring, in a scarcely probability of 10% of having an alpha, and only the 5% of the new born had the possibility to be an omega. Of course, only if they had any alpha or omega lineage. But with statics, as tricky as they are, there´s always the possibility of the improbable. And that was what exactly happened in the Matsuno family.
Six boys were born on a certain day of May, an extraordinary sight for two beta parents. Only the alpha/omega parenthood could conceive multiple pregnancies of three or even four children in rare cases, and with this preview of her lucky, they should have expected some other surprises from life.
At the age of fourteen the youngest of their kids was informed he was an omega. His five older brothers and his parents were in shock, their baby was going to have a really tough life. And his five brothers sworn that day they would be there to protect him, and prevent oversteps of any smarty-pants alpha that wanted to take liberties with their youngest.
Todomatsu cried a lot the first months, and facing their inability of do much for him, his brothers made up their mind and decided they would spoil him and grant each and every wish that crossed his mind. This made Todomatsu someone who could see misfortunes as an actual opportunities, and the original depression turn itself in acceptance. Besides, heats were only once every two months, it wasn´t that bad.
Despite his optimism, Todomatsu´s first heats were really a problem, he begged his brothers and parents to bring an alpha to him, or anyone that could ease the fire inside. Todomatsu was locked more than once in the bathroom, in the shared room or even in their parents’ bedroom. Omegas as young as him couldn´t take suppressants until reached at least the sixteen years old, it was really bad for their bodies to take that kind of medicine, it was too strong for them. But once Todomatsu could take suppressants the life in the Matsuno family stablished again.
That was of course, until the next blow of problems hit them in the face.
Almost as if they were honoring their position as the oldest, Osomatsu and Karamatsu were informed of their alpha status at the age of seventeen on a school checkup. They started to present the natural developments on an alpha anatomy.
— Both of you are alphas? — Todomatsu was a little scared when their brothers told them the news.
— It seems… — said Karamatsu — we… we are not going to hurt you, ever. I promise.
— Yeah, like, we couldn´t do that to you, you know? So, let´s try to be as far as we can on Todomatsu´s heats — said Osomatsu to Karamatsu. — Now that we know, we can prevent something.
— Never be afraid of us ok? — Karamatsu kissed Todomatsu´s hand like he was a princess.
— Ok — Todomatsu granted with a kitty smile.
Of course, saying and doing are two different things. The first Todomatsu´s heat after his brothers presenting was really a commotion. Osomatsu and Karamatsu´s rut whisper in their subconscious to take Todomatsu, that it wouldn´t be a bad idea to free their youngest brother from the pain, and Todomatsu´s screams and whimpers weren´t helping to their cause. The three remaining brothers struggle with the eldest with all their might, they weren´t originally violent so the conflict didn´t escalate into a fight. Matsuyo stopped everything taking Todomatsu with her, they slept in a hotel waiting for the suppressants to work on Todomatsu.
But after that first encounter, the house could have a better control over everyone´s condition.
And again, once they thought they´ve found a synchronization with his younger brother, Choromatsu was inform a few months later he was also an alpha. Things were getting too complicated in the house, the unaffected and conscious brothers were less now, so this time they decided to stay away completely from the house and stayed with a relative once every two months to prevent harming Todomatsu. In general; Osomatsu seemed less affected for Todomatsu´s hormones and Choromatsu looked like he had a very strong will. Karamatsu was the one who suffered the most, but with only him barely out of control it was an easy task for the family.
But almost a year after Osomatsu´s presenting, the Matsuno house would be covered by a tragedy.
Ichimatsu and Jyuushimatsu presented themselves in the worst way possible. All brothers were ready to sleep, Todomatsu´s heat supposed to arrive in three more weeks, so everything was fine. Normally speaking, an alpha can´t make an omega go into heat, but an omega could do it to an alpha. And that fact was the one that shocked all of them the most. The fourth and fifth brother got into a sudden rut, their bodied started to burn inside, they have already saw those symptoms in their other brothers, they were presenting as alphas too, and it was what normally is called a “sudden presenting”, it happened when new alphas are a little late on their development, and their bodies suffer years of changes in couple of days. They tried to mutter a warning, but a sweet sudden smell stopped any words that could came from their mouths. Todomatsu with a confused face looked at his own body, he was having an induced heat, which would be impossible, if he wasn´t experiencing it in that moment. In a domino effect, Osomatsu, Karamatsu and Choromatsu´s rut soared.
Everything went faster than their own strength, Todomatsu was in a room filled with alphas and his body was craving in an incontrollable passion for his brothers.
After some time, the sounds were too clear, too loud for their parents not to notice. They hurried to their sons´ bedroom as fast as they could, just to find the youngest of them being taken by his brothers. Matsuyo and Matsuzo fought the situation, with much strength as he could, the father carried away Todomatsu from the ruckus, his others sons almost throw themselves to him, and Todomatsu was crying and moaning in his father´s arms, in a plea to be taken back to the room. Matsuyo hurried up and close the door behind her once she was out of the room, meanwhile Matsuzo locked Todomatsu in their own bedroom and hurried to bring the suppressants. Matsuyo screamed to her husband to hurry, her sons started to pull the door with much more strength, surely to answer at their little brother call.
The suppressant didn’t work on Todomatsu, his heat was being intensified for the other five brothers.
— I had to take him to the hospital! I´ll call you from there — screamed Matsuzo covering Todomatsu with a blanket, he also grabbed some clothes from the laundry basket and left the house with his son in arms.
— Ok… — whispered Matsuyo looking at his husband rushing to the front door.
After fifteen minutes away from Todomatsu, the other five calmed down. When the pulling and screaming stopped, Matsuyo dared to peek at her sons´ bedroom. All of them were dressed again and they were looking at each other with sadness. Ichimatsu and Jyuushimatsu were having a hard time themselves, they were sweating and panting subjected at the unyielding desire.
— Mom… — spoke Osomatsu with a small voice— Ichimatsu and Jyuushimatsu are having a rut … Can we go out? Or them?
— Ah… yes… — she said surprised at the statement of her two remaining children presenting as alphas also. She opened the door. — So that was what happened… — she whispered.
A second after the door was completely opened both of them hurried to leave the room.
— We´re sorry… — said Choromatsu covering his face in his hands and knees, he sat down in a corner of the room.
— How´s Todomatsu? — asked Karamatsu — did we… did we hurt him?
— I don´t know, your father is going to call me from the hospital.
— Hospital!? — asked the three older brothers.
— I don´t know the reason either…. — their mother said.
Karamatsu pulled as his scalp with both hands.
— Kids, I know that this is going to be awkward, but I need you to tell me — Matsuyo´s voice was calm, an edge of anger could be perceived at the end of her words though — Did… did any of you knotted?
The three brothers looked at each other with guilty falling into their face.
— Yeah… though not completely inside him… — said Osomatsu brushing his face with his palms. And not because they didn´t wanted to, it was their first time, any of them knew how to do it.
Matsuyo´s hand covered her own mouth in disbelief and panic.
— You… did you came inside him? — She asked, in a tone that was trying to confirm what she just heard.
Karamatsu nodded.
— Oh God! How come Todomatu´s heat arrived earlier?
Matsuyo dropped to her calves and started to cry. Their mother lamentation only made worst their guilt at the destruction of their self-proclaimed onus of taking care of the youngest.
Half an hour later Jyuushimatsu joined the group in the bedroom, he was better, notoriously he has more control over his body. He was in silence, too quiet to his own standards, and ten minutes after that Ichimatsu came back, still confused and enormously scared. In some point Matsuyo left them alone with the door open to go downstairs to wait for her husband and son on the living room.
— How are you feeling? — Osomatsu needed to check on his brothers.
— It burns… inside — answered Ichimatsu almost in a groan.
— I know… it´s going to pass… — Osomatsu patted Jyuushimatsu´s head who was next to him.
For an alpha, there weren´t cyclic ruts, they had one, strong enough to knocked them out when presenting, after that, they can have one or two in a couple of years, unless they are mated or had an omega close, then ruts could be as periodically as omega´s heats.
But that was it, any of them said another word, they were worried for Todomatsu, waiting to hear the door or something. Anything.
The sound of the phone broke the deathly silence, all brothers heard their mother rushed footsteps. Glued to the door frame, they picked what they could from the call. From their mother side, they could barely heard alarming murmurs. And once she hung up she went directly to their sons’ bedroom. All of them rushed back and sit three on the couch and the other two in the floor next to them.
Matsuyo opened the door.
— Boys — she said.
They were nervous, swallowing the culpability taste that lingered in their mouths. Trembling, sweating, and the heart beating tenfold their normal rhythm.
— Todomatsu had to have an emergency contraceptive, there was enough trace on him to, well, you know… — their mother swallow, she couldn´t see their sons at the face — but, he doesn´t have any physical injuries. Your father is bringing him in an hour. And I´m telling you in advance, he is not going to sleep with you all anymore.
In less than a minute, they were left alone.
— Someone of us could have… — said Ichimatsu, scared.
— Not someone, we know who ejaculated inside him — said Osomatsu, pissed.
— If they didn´t stop us, it could be anyone… — followed Choromatsu, shaking.
— He can´t sleep if he´s not between Osomatsu and me. He´s scared of the darkness.
— But, Karamatsu-niisan, he´s not going to trust us anymore. —Jyuushimatsu clenched his fist.
And the silence fell upon them again.
The house front door clicked after a long hour of waiting. Matsuzo brought Todomatsu with him who was a little bit dizzy and feverish.
— Todomatsu — her mother hurried to him — how are you feeling?
Todomatsu´s eyes weren´t focusing and his head was bobbing, unable to keep it firm
— The doctor said he´s going to be throwing up a lot due the strong medicine they gave him — Matsuzo was caressing his son´s head delicately — But he´s going to be completely fine in a couple of days.
— Couple of days?
— Yes, his vomiting will be reducing little by little.
Todomatsu place his hand on his queasy stomach. — Bathroom — he whispered before running as fast and steady as he could.
— What are we gonna do? — Matsuyo was really worried for all her sons.
— They told me that we need to manage this wisely, it´s in their nature and it´s something us betas can´t comprehend.
— Dear… I don´t want them to be afraid of each other, that would break their hearts.
— We´ll find a way to make up for this.
Five brothers were on their futon talking between them, this time, there wasn´t an empty space between the two eldest. They were considering what they could do about their sixth brother when the door of their bedroom opened once more. All five lifted their sight or head. At the door, was Todomatsu.
— Eh? — He said grabbing his arm with the hand — where am I supposed to sleep? You didn´t leave enough space for me.
Todomatsu´s disheveled appearance broke everyone´s heart; the shirt he was wearing was Jyuushimatsu´s, all dirty and muddy. While the pants were Osomatsu´s, a visible spot of something maybe he was eating while wearing them was on the trouser leg. His hair messy enough to frame his whole image gave him a sight never seeing on Todomatsu.
— Todomatsu — Osomatsu sat on the futon — You´re not going to sleep here anymore.
— What? Why? — Todomatsu´s face almost broke in tears.
— “Why” you ask? Really? — It was easy for Ichimatsu to lose his temper when he was unable to manage his emotions, and with the rush of the rut still hitting him, it was even less possible.
— I know that… well what happened wasn’t anybody´s fault… I guess… or is it my fault? That´s why you don´t want me here? — Todomatsu clenched his hands on his pants sides.
What could´ve any of them told him in that moment? They didn´t know if it was better for him to think his brothers didn´t wanted to be with him or to comfort him and carry the guilt of seeing him leave the room alone. Both were pure cruelty, he just passed for a tough moment and needed care and love.
— Todomatsu — Karamatsu approached to him — It wasn´t your fault, we cannot be with you in the same room, you know that, something like what just happened could take place again, Ichimatsu and Jyuushimatsu are having ups and downs. And we can´t take the risk to hurt you that way, If we could leave you the room we would, but it´s harder to move five people than one, besides, mom already set you a futon below.
— But… Karamatsu-niisan you better than anyone knows I can´t sleep alone, in the darkness…
Karamatsu pressed a painfully sweet kiss against Todomatsu´s forehead — I know…
— Todomatsu! — His mother´s voice wrapped in panic could be hear from downstairs and she hurried to the sextuplets´ room.
All five could feel a firm needle of pain stabbing their chest. His mother was scared of leaving Todomatsu alone with them, they were now a threat to Todomatsu´s wellbeing. She saw his second and sixth sons together in the door, she put herself between them and pushed Karamatsu softly inside — you all are going to promise me that you are not going to go downstairs while we are sleeping, you hear me? If you want to gain my trust again, please start with this. — Matsuyo grabbed Todomatsu´s hand and pulled him downstairs.
Karamatsu closed the door hearing Todomatsu´s screams and whines. And could hear also how Todomatsu was locked on the living room.
— It´s going to be a long night… — Osomatsu whispered covering his eyes with his forearm.
And it was, Todomatsu didn´t stop crying, and calling for his older brothers.
— Onii-chan Don´t abandon me Osomatsu-niisan! — He cried — I´m scared! It´s so dark in here! Karamatsu-niisan you promise to protect me always! — He was interrupting his lamentation only to breathe — Choromatsu-niisan take me to the bathroom, Ichimatsu-niisan pat me, Jyuushimatsu-niisan let´s play!
They could hear their mother approaching to the living room.
— Todomatsu, please honey, you can´t — the door was never opened.
— Why!? Why I´m the only one alone!? Do you hate me because I´m an omega!? That´s why you locked me up?
— No sweetie, of course no! It´s for you own good.
— No it´s not! I want my brothers, I´m lonely… nii-san…
— Todomatsu, please, try to sleep, please.
After a couple of minutes no other sound were heard, only Matsuyo´s steps back to her room.
At some point in the night, Todomatsu fell asleep but the other brothers couldn´t, they all were crying in silence. Their mother found Todomatsu curled up in a corner, with the living room lights on and hugging his pillow as if his life depended on that.
That night marked the five older brothers, and not because they have laid their hands on their youngest, but for his crying, his pain. They decided; they all were going to protect Todomatsu, even from themselves, from anything and anyone in the world.
With that in mind, for the first time, they put their biggest effort in turning themselves in descent brothers, as descent as their own standards allowed them.
Weeks later, the parents saw that all their sons had control now of their instincts, what had happened last time was Ichimatsu´s and Jyuushimatsu´s presenting themselves as alphas, they didn´t had any idea or control about something unknown. So, having this in mind, little by little all brothers earned the privilege to sleep together again.
One night, on his mother´s instruction, Todomatsu climbed the stairs with fear, he didn´t want to open the door and not found his space on the futon. With a shaky hand he slide the door. All his brother smiled at him with a big space in the middle of the two eldest. Todomatu´s smile widen and throw himself at the blanked hugging his brothers in the process.
— Welcome back cute prince — said Osomatsu.
He could feel, even with eyes closed, which brother was touching him, Choromatsu was caressing his head, Jyushimatsu was holding his hand, Karamatsu was hugging him like Osomatsu, and Ichimatsu had a hand in his back patting it softly.
— You did well enduring by yourself — whispered Karamatsu.
— Yes… — said Todomatsu almost without voice.
— Let´s go to sleep — Choromatsu directed Todomatsu and all of them slept in big hug that night.
This didn´t diminish their efforts of becoming better older brothers, all of them found well paid part time jobs, their alpha nature made everything easier. And even if they six suffered every two months with Todomatsu´s estrus because not only he had to take stronger suppressants but to sleep alone again, they had now some money to spoil their baby brother once it was finished.
Like this, they reached the age of twenty six. They have mastered a rhythm, at Todomatsu´s unhappiness, all brothers kept a record on his heats. — Ngh… Todomatsu? — Karamatsu interrupted his thinking.

— Heh! — the other said, and nothing more.
— We lost him…
The main door opened again and Osomatsu´s loud laugh echoed through the hallway.
— Stop laughing! —Choromatsu was scolding him, as always.
— It´s your fault, after all these years and you still fall into my tricks, you are stupid, too naive or really in love with me.
— Move! I need to change
Todomatsu and Jyuushimatsu peeked at the entrance.
Choromatsu was completely soaked, he was just pulling his shirt off and his shoes.
— What happened? — Todomatsu gulped at the sight of Choromatsu´s body.
— This idiot pushed me into a fountain.
Osomatsu laughed again — Ow c´mon! Look, Jyuushimatsu, what would you truly answered if I tell you “If you pick up ten coins that were thrown into a fountain any wish you ask could be granted” what would you said.
Shaking his head with a wide smile Jyuushimatsu answered — Osomatsu-niisan is untrustworthy!
— See!? … Wait, hey! … Whatever, proves my point.
— I hate you, really I wish… — Choromatsu froze in his place — Totty? — he asked with a barely speck of fear — are you… didn’t your heat passed already?
— Eh? Yes, why?
— Why are you exuding pheromones?
— Right!? — Karamatsu followed — but they are really faint… like… — Karamatsu smelled around — I don´t smell them anymore.
— It´s not me guys, really — Todomatsu was confused, what was happening with them today.
Osomatsu dropped his shoes untidy, not without earning a stern look from Choromatsu, and got closer to Todomatsu.
— Would you excuse me sweet prince? — he asked grabbing Todomatsu´s hand.
Osomatsu got closer to Todomatsu´s neck and smelled — I´m this close and nothing, his gland is sleeping. He´s not in heat.
— Then maybe it´s just me… maybe a rut? I´m sorry Totty, I´ll leave ok? — Choromatsu hurried to the bathroom.
— Choromatsu, surely there isn´t hot water — Osomatsu laughed — really, what are you going to do without me? — then followed Choromatsu.
— Shut up idiot, don´t follow me.
Todomatsu questioned himself if it has been only a coincidence that precisely the two brothers he was getting hot with, were the ones that said they could smell his scent. Or maybe he was overthinking things. Or, also, he could start a process of trial and error, the worst scenario possible? He being gangbanged by his brothers again, which wasn’t that bad either. He was in the room with both, Karamatsu was combing his hair and Ichimatsu was cuddling in the room corner with seven or ten cats around him
— Karamatsu-niisan — he´s going to use his “sweet” voice that Karamatsu could resist even less.

— I want to eat something sweet, I really, reaaaalllyyy want to eat a crepe.

— Crap… — he whispered, he didn´t think in the possibility of actually going out — ah… but, can´t I stay here? I´m tired… — Todomatsu let out a soft yawn.
Karamatsu kneeled in front of him — But of course you can, everything that you wish will be granted by your older brother. Just wait here, and try not to sleep too much, I´m going to bring to you, the sweetest crepe ever created, not even by the angels themselves. C´est la vie!
It was really easy to get rid of Karamatsu-niisan, it was actually the easiest of them all. With a quick glance Todomatsu looked at Ichimatsu´s back, he seemed to be fast asleep.
— What…? — his sudden guttural voice make Todomatsu jump.
— Were you awake nii-san?
— Yes, and I can sense you want something, you got rid of Shittymatsu in a really weird way.
— I didn´t… I really want a crepe.
— Generally speaking, you go out with him, so he can buy you a whole lot of extra things.
To prevent disturbing the cats, Ichimatsu turned only part of his head back, looking partially at Todomatsu through his eye side.
Todomatsu was crawling next to Ichimatsu and grabbing the only cat that was on his back to cuddle with his brother.
— Is it so weird that I want to be with you?
— It is, you´re always grossed out at the cat´s hair…
And there was really plenty of that scattered all over his clothes.
— I have an idea! — Todomatsu remove carefully the cat that was on Ichimatsu´s hip and the other that was rolled up on his legs.
— What are you…
— Shhh!!
When the younger brother finish to place every and each cat on a safe place Ichimatsu was able to turn himself. Without warning, Todomatsu pulled up Ichimatsu´s hoodie.
— Totty!
With a derogatory shake of his hand, Todomatsu throw the piece of clothing to the other side of the room, and with the same eagerness he also throw himself at Ichimatsu´s chest placing his lower body between his older brother´s legs.
— Todomatsu!
The youngest brother didn´t know why Ichimatsu was so worried, without heats and ruts they were totally safe. Then something started to poke him in the belly.
“Ah, right, people have normal desires aside from heats and ruts.” Todomatsu thought. Most of the time he was too tired dealing with his own crazy hormones that he forget other people can have normal desires too.
