Chapter 10: Epilogue

Chapter Text

Six Weeks Later : BALI.

“I've always wanted to come here!” Taehyung has a big smile on his face as he stares out at the ocean, chin resting against his palms. “Wow. It's surreal.”

They're sitting on the balcony of a premium resort in Bali, right by the ocean. The resort has been built in such a way that each suite has privacy, and a balcony that nearly hangs over the ocean.

Jungkook reaches out, and caresses the hair at the back of Taehyung's neck. “Yeah? I think you're surreal. So gorgeous.”

Taehyung is so used to Jungkook showering him with compliments at this point that he doesn't get shy anymore — just happy. Jungkook's love and his attraction towards Taehyung never seems to waver, let alone wane.

Jungkook's love involves not just being there for Taehyung, but also making sure he knows that he's the only one, and that Jungkook will always choose him no matter what.

And Jungkook never hesitates to tell Taehyung one thing, especially since that fit he threw out of possessiveness after that party they attended.

At this point, he knows by heart what Jungkook sounds like when he says it.

Hyung, I'm yours.

Naturally, it makes Taehyung want to completely belong to Jungkook as well. And perhaps, he already does. There's so much to learn from the way Jungkook loves, and Taehyung is glad he's learning from the best.

He looks at Jungkook, reaches out, and then cups his cheek. Taehyung blows him a kiss, and then smiles. “Thank you.”

Jungkook pushes his sunglasses up, and leans against the railing to get a better look at Taehyung. He slowly inches closer, until their shoulders touch.

“What? You want a kiss?” Taehyung chuckles.

“I always want a kiss from you.” Jungkook bites back a smile.

Ever since he was discharged from the hospital, after Taehyung told him he loves him, Jungkook has become incredibly bold and mouthy. But Taehyung doesn't mind it.

It feels like Jungkook is finally a hundred percent comfortable speaking about his feelings to Taehyung. He doesn't hold back anymore like he used to. That makes Taehyung happy.

“Come here.” Taehyung beckons him with his fingers.

Jungkook instantly leans in. Taehyung leans in as well, but then pulls back to tease him. Jungkook narrows his eyes, Taehyung chuckles, and then grabs his face before pulling him in for a sweet kiss.

“There. Now, let me watch the ocean and do not annoy me.” Taehyung smiles and leans against the railing.

“Fine.” Jungkook walks around him, and stops when he's right behind Taehyung. He gently wraps his arms around him, and hooks his chin over Taehyung's shoulder before pressing a soft kiss to his shoulder. “Let me keep kissing you then.”

Taehyung leans back against Jungkook's shoulder, into the touch, a smile automatically spreading across his lips.

It's so wonderful out here, and especially because he's visiting with Jungkook. Taehyung closes his eyes, and just basks in the warmth of Jungkook's embrace.

Jungkook's phone buzzes in his pocket. He pulls it out, and notices that it's a message in his group chat with Namjoon and Yoongi. There's an image attachment that Namjoon just sent, and Jungkook clicks on it.

The satisfaction that spreads through him when he sees it, is insane.

It's Kwangho’s body, exactly as Jungkook remembers leaving it after he ran a bullet through his skull.

Just like he had promised he would.

It took them over a month to find him once he was on the run after trying to kill Jungkook. Jungkook, even up until the last moment, would have given him a chance to leave the country and never come back and to promise to live with dignity. But Kwangho had made the mistake of involving Taehyung in his shit, so he had lost his chance a long time ago already.

It was just a matter of time.

The audacity was appalling.

In fact, he had the nerve to mention Taehyung again when Jungkook confronted him.

He threatened how he was going to bring Taehyung and show him how Jungkook is all tied up and battered, and then slowly cut Taehyung with a knife all over in front of Jungkook's eyes for him to watch and suffer even more. Jungkook distinctly remembers the words, because they enraged him to no end.

So of course, when he finally caught him hiding like a rat, Jungkook tied Kwangho up instead, and then tied him to a bike — and then rode that bike through town. It was a lot of fun.

Kwangho had a lot of bad karma anyway. He had troubled so, so many innocent people. Maybe his time really had come.

When Kwangho was almost spent, body bruised from friction with the concrete, Jungkook poured bowl after bowl of salt onto it and watched as he winced in pain. And of course, the highlight was him inflicting cuts onto his skin exactly the way he threatened to do to Taehyung.

How dare he?

With every cut, Jungkook reminded him never to speak of his husband again.

At least not in the few minutes he had left.

When he was bored with it, he pulled out his gun and finished the job in one clean shot. He had asked Namjoon and Yoongi to dispose of the body and make sure it’s at least of use to animals for food.

The picture of Kwangho is from a forest, taken from a distance, and in the frame are some animals approaching the body. Jungkook pulls his sunglasses down, and his lips pull up into a satisfied smile as he locks the screen and pockets his phone again.

He presses another kiss to Taehyung's shoulder, and buries his nose in it.

“I wish we could just stay here. Nobody knows us here, and nobody is going to cause trouble.” Taehyung sighs.

Jungkook presses a kiss to his neck. “Nobody's going to cause trouble for you back home either. I mean, they can try but they will be found and… silenced. And I'll make sure they never do it again.”

“Jungkook! Do you mean killing them?” Taehyung rolls his eyes. “You can't just do that, baby.”

Jungkook smiles against Taehyung's neck, and remains quiet. He simply rocks Taehyung from side to side, and sighs dreamily.

“So freaking beautiful.” Jungkook says.

Taehyung's attention turns to the sunset again, and he smiles. “Yeah. It really is beautiful. Perhaps the most beautiful sunset I've ever witnessed.”

Jungkook pulls back, frowning. “Who's talking about sunsets?”

Taehyung turns his face to look at him, eyes narrowed as he bites back a smile. “What are we talking about, then?”

Jungkook leans in, presses a kiss to Taehyung's lips, and then whispers against them with a smile. “You.”

Taehyung cups his face, kisses him again, and just for fun and just to hear it again, asks. “Are you all mine, Jungkook?”

He knows the answer, and yet, it's always so nice to hear it.

“Of course.” Jungkook says. His tone and enthusiasm remains the same no matter how many times Taehyung asks. “Of course I am, hyung.” Jungkook leans against him, closing his eyes as he means every word he says. “I'm all yours. Only yours.”
