Chapter Text
Jimin woke up with Koo’s bready cheek pressed against his chest. He was sleeping peacefully, breathing softly, drooling a little - which made Jimin smile. He was adorable, as usual, but maybe even a little more than the previous mornings they had spent together. After the heated reconciliation they had gone through a few hours before, Jimin and Koo had fallen asleep in each other’s arms and dreamed of better days, with no drama, no fears and no more misunderstandings.
Jimin caressed Koo’s hair slowly, trying not to wake him up. He liked the texture of the space buns on his head, and the way they made him look even cuter. He had greatly enjoyed Koo taking the lead the night before, but he knew deep down that he would always see him as his big doughy baby. Koo was so soft-spoken, so kind and genuinely good-natured that it was hard to see him as arrogant or even as sassy as he liked to qualify himself. They had loved each other peacefully, at least before the trip to Japan, and Jimin was convinced it would go on the same.
"You’re looking at me," Koo suddenly said, taking a deep breath as he woke up.
"You can go back to sleep, love. It’s only seven in the morning."
"I’m okay, I feel like I have slept enough. And you?"
"I just woke up too."
Koo nodded and closed his eyes again, pressing his cheek harder against Jimin’s chest. Jimin wrapped his arms around him. He wanted to tell him that he was happy to be able to hold him like this, despite everything that had happened, but he could see from Koo’s smile that his boyfriend felt the same. They didn’t have to say anything out loud. It was obvious.
"My legs hurt," Koo said out of the blue.
"Really? Where?"
Jimin made him sit up on the bed and Koo grimaced.
"I think I’m sore from the week lying down. Not as much as a human would, but… It hurts a little, in my back and thighs."
"Do you want a massage?"
Koo blushed, which amused Jimin greatly.
"Hey. I don’t know what you’re watching on the internet, but a regular massage doesn’t have to be embarrassing."
Koo blushed again. Jimin didn’t want to stop, but the poor bread looked red enough like this. It was funny to make him all fired up, but maybe not two seconds after he had woken up.
"Lie down on your stomach," Jimin told him. "I don’t know how I will massage you because you don’t actually have skin, but I will try to find a way, okay?"
Koo nodded and fell flat on his belly. Jimin tried not to laugh, but Koo always had a funny way to do the most regular movements that made him crack up.
"Why are you laughing?" Koo pouted.
"You’re cute. I love you so much, you’re adorable."
Koo seemed to struggle to breathe for a moment, then blushed more. Damn, I’m starting to really enjoy my day. It was Jimin’s turn to get a little pink in the cheeks as he took in Koo’s naked body spread out on the bed. He couldn’t believe he was lucky enough to have such a pretty boyfriend - a boyfriend who had made himself look like this on purpose, on top of everything. His hands traveled slowly from Koo’s left shoulder to the other, and he immediately shivered under his touch.
"Calm down, baby, I’m just trying to find a way to massage you without making a mess of crumbs. Or hurting you."
"Yeah, but I'm ticklish," Koo sighed with a little smile.
Jimin pushed his thumbs softly into Koo’s crust, wondering how to massage him properly. He didn’t want to crush him, nor tickle him instead of actually relieving him of his pain. Koo didn't have muscles, so it wasn't clear what was hurting him, but Jimin was willing to forget that confusing element for now.
"It has to hurt a little," Jimin explained. "If you don’t feel anything, tell me. I want it to be useful."
Koo hummed. After a few careful movements, he started nodding and letting out little whimpers. Jimin was not worried anymore - what Koo needed to get more comfortable did not make his crust crisp at all. Jimin had often hugged him tightly and knew that he was quite solid, far from being crushed at a single movement, but he had never really done that on purpose, too lost in his feelings to notice what he was doing. This time, he was pushing against Koo's crust willingly, and it was fine so far. The sensation was not similar to skin at all, and he couldn’t feel what was under Koo’s crust. It was not like massaging a human.
"Can you stay on my right shoulder?" Koo asked. "The left one is fine."
Jimin focused on the most painful part of Koo’s back, and he let out the longest sigh of relief. Jimin was starting to feel something odd bloom in his lower belly, and he was slightly ashamed. Why was he constantly horny around his boyfriend? Maybe Koo didn’t want that, especially when he was in pain. The honeymoon phase of their relationship had never ended. Jimin was continuously whipped for him, and he needed to be close to his body as often as he could. He often wondered if this was normal.
"Why are you worried?" Koo asked.
"Uh?"
"I feel it with your fingers. I don’t know, I just know it. Why are you worried?"
Jimin stopped massaging him, and Koo squirmed to turn around. Concern painted his sweet face. Koo held his hands and kissed his fingers softly.
"Is it about what happened this week?"
"No, it’s just… I don’t know if it’s really a problem, but…"
"We said no secrets. No misunderstandings anymore. Tell me what’s on your mind."
Koo cupped his cheeks and kissed him softly, which ignited the fire in Jimin’s belly. Oh god. He kissed him back with a loud breathy moan, and Koo chuckled against his lips.
"You don’t seem to be too worried, actually."
"Yeah, it’s actually about… that. I wonder if it’s weird for me to have such a constantly high… sex drive, with you, I mean-"
"Well… You’re saying that you want to have sex with me… a lot?"
"Yes."
"Me too, Jimin. So, uh… who cares, exactly?"
Jimin felt a little lost.
"But… You see other couples, like Namjoon and Seokjin… They don’t want to jump on each other every two minutes, right?"
"And? We have a high sex drive, both of us. No one feels left out. How is that negative? It’s not less meaningful than a conversation, and for that matter… we have both, anyway. We express ourselves like this. I don’t care about what other couples do. We’re fine. We’re fine, right?"
Jimin nodded eagerly and kissed Koo’s cheek.
"Of course, we’re fine! I was just wondering if you noticed that most couples are not really like us."
"To each their own, Jimin. It’s not a shame not to do anything, it’s not a shame to do it constantly either. Don’t worry about it, okay? I’m pretty sure I want it even more than you do."
Jimin pushed him on the bed and grabbed him by the thighs.
"Whatever happens next, you asked for a massage first."
"I’m starting to regret it…," Koo pouted.
Jimin knew he was hard, he could see it pretty clearly since Koo was naked, but he wanted to relieve him from the pain before making him even more sore. He massaged Koo’s thighs carefully, and soon enough his boyfriend was sighing with joy.
"You’re great at this," he praised him.
"I realise I don’t touch you that much, in our daily life. I’m always scared of hurting you. I avoid your crust."
"Don’t avoid it anymore. I’m made of flour, but not only that."
Jimin smiled and massaged Koo's thighs slowly, his fingers digging a little into the dough. It's true, you are not just flour anymore, Koo. His boyfriend was the most important person in his life. He already knew this before he had almost lost him, but the knowledge was now carved in his heart. Koo was his everything.
"You're amazing," Jimin whispered.
"Are you going to hurt me with your fingers? That's why you're being nice?"
"Just take the compliment, silly bread."
Koo suddenly sat up and grabbed Jimin's hands. He looked mischievous enough to worry Jimin a little. Oh my god, he's up to no good.
"If we're going to be sappy, let's cuddle, at least."
Jimin chuckled and hugged Koo tightly, hiding his nose in the crook of his neck.
"You're unbearable."
"I see the compliments stopped early, then..."
"I would not trade you for anything else, even though you're exhausting. Always provoking me when I try to be nice..."
"I made myself this way because I knew you liked it. The sass was not so prevalent when I was yeast."
Jimin leaned away to look at him. Koo was displaying a bunny smile, as if reminiscing happy memories.
"How did you know my taste in men, when you were in the oven? Your face, your smile, everything?"
Koo seemed to think about it for a few seconds, during which Jimin tried his best not to kiss his pouty lips. Then, Koo pressed his forehead against Jimin's chin and sighed.
"I can't remember. Everything about my yeast life is quite blurry, apart from... you, just you."
Jimin realised they hadn't talked about that time ever since Koo left the oven. It had never been important to him, but it seemed relevant after the recent events. Jimin needed to know as much as he could about what sacrifices Koo had made to live with him.
"You're basically saying that you changed your personality for me... Are you okay with that? You can be yourself with me, Koo. It's true, I like your sass, but don't force it to please me."
"You also changed a lot of your personality for me, Jimin. Don't you remember how much you used to worry? Well, You're still doing it right now, but it was way worse."
"I don't find it annoying to tone it down to make you more comfortable..."
"And I don't find it annoying to joke a little to make you laugh. See? I'm old enough to be in control of how I behave with you. Why do you treat me like a baby? I was frozen in your laboratory two years before you were born, and I got multiplied so many times by your previous colleagues that I must be a very old man to you. You should stop calling me baby, to be honest."
"How do you want me to call you, then?"
"Husband."
Jimin kissed him fiercely and squeezed his space buns.
"That's perfect. Let's say we're husbands."
"I know you're worried, and I understand, but... You have to know that I never imagined I would be so happy and... carefree, even. Come here."
They lay down next to each other, and Koo kissed Jimin's shoulder.
"I need you," Koo murmured. "Maybe not in a way you could understand. maybe not in a very human way... Not as someone who depends on you... It's more organic than that. I need you because my cells need you. My whole body needs you to be fine, to be next to me if you want to. It's biological. That's what I mean when I say that I love you. I see us as so much more than husbands... But this would be good enough, for now."
Jimin was speechless. He wanted to say something smart, something emotional, but he couldn't find the right words. How was he supposed to respond to that? A single tear rolled on his cheek and fell on Koo's shoulder.
"Don't cry," Koo said, caressing his face. "I'm sure it's a lot, but it doesn't have to be as intense as what I just said. I feel like this when we simply hold hands in front of Netflix. Don't be scared."
"I'm not scared," Jimin said. "I just don't know how to express my own feelings. I wasn't born to be able to stay with you, but I love you with all my heart and I can't imagine my life without you. You're my energy, you see? I couldn't move, when you were lying unconscious next to me. I just couldn't function."
Koo hooked a leg over Jimin's hips and lay down on him, simply feeling him from head to toe.
"I love you," Koo whispered before kissing him softly. "Are you okay?"
Jimin nodded, his eyes disappearing into crescent moons as he smiled. He kissed the tip of Koo's nose.
"I can't wait to make you try all the food I love. You have so much to discover."
"Why do you always think about eating when we're naked?"
"Are you jealous when I mention other foods?"
Koo held out his hand to grab a few crumbs on the bed sheets. He ate them slowly, which made Jimin blush furiously.
"I'm not jealous," Koo concluded. "I am delicious . Nothing can beat me."
"That's cannibalism." Jimin whispered.
"Is it cannibalism when you eat the little pieces of skin around your fingernails? I see you doing that."
"Fair enough."
Jimin also grabbed a few crumbs and let them melt on his tongue, until they were easier to swallow. Koo seemed hypnotised and couldn't look away from his plump lips.
"You taste great, as usual," Jimin said.
Koo whined desperately.
"Something wrong?" Jimin teased him.
"You know what's wrong," Koo pouted.
Jimin decided he had tortured him long enough. He grabbed his hips to guide him on his cock, and Koo sighed in relief.
"I want to stay like this," he declared.
"Really? I don't think I can last for very long. You're too hot."
Koo smiled, but didn't move his hips.
"The first one who comes loses."
"What's the punishment?"
Koo closed his eyes to think.
"The fact that the other will have to finish the job overstimulated."
"Well, fair."
Koo leaned down and kissed Jimin languidly, pushing his tongue inside his mouth and whining against his lips. He was not playing fair from the start. Jimin was hard inside him, more and more aroused, and there were no movements down there yet.
"You know what I love about your body, Koo? You tense up very hard when you come, and then you can't stop shaking. I love that."
Koo whimpered and moved his hips almost imperceptibly.
"You have a beautiful expression when you come," Koo fought back. "You look like you want more, but your face is exhausted. I want to make you have more than one orgasm, one day. Do you think you could?"
Jimin caressed Koo's butt, and they both shivered.
"I have never tried. Sex was always half boring for me, before you came into my life. Whether we do it softly or more roughly... it's completely different from anything I ever imagined."
He squeezed Koo's butt, and Koo couldn't help but clench desperately.
"Jimin, you're cheating!"
"Did you say none of us could move?"
"No. But you're still cheating."
As revenge, Koo started caressing Jimin's nipples, and he closed his eyes to focus on something else. He was getting aggravated way too fast.
"You feel so good inside me...," Koo sighed. "I wish we could just do this all the time. No work, no sleep, just sex."
"Are you not getting enough from me?" Jimin pretended to whine. "I thought I could calm you down after one row. You're expecting too much."
Koo giggled and rolled his hips down once. They both moaned way too loudly, too sensitive to control their reactions. Koo leaned down to Jimin's ear and whispered:
"I'm going to tell you a secret, then. When you're at work and I need a break... I touch myself."
Jimin's heart was beating extremely fast. He didn't know about that at all. It felt obvious that Koo was too much of a horny steam locomotive to wait for Jimin to do anything, but he had never thought about it before this precise moment.
"You said you were not horny if I wasn't here, "Jimin teased.
"That's why I think about you."
Jimin swallowed with difficulty. He didn't know how long he would last if Koo started telling him about his fantasies. He held him tighter, but there was no way to deny that Koo was already dominating the situation. He was going to lose.
"When you're not home, I think about how much I want to be pressed against the wall, how much you could wreck me until the neighbours complain... And then I touch myself, and I'm so sad because you're not here..."
Jimin panted and tightened his grip on Koo's butt. It crisped a little. Koo bit Jimin's earlobe gently.
"I cry, sometimes... I pray that you' re going to open the door, see me, and give me what I deserve... Just so I don't have to sit here and touch my cock by myself... I want you to find me accidentally and punish me for being such a bad bread..."
Jimin couldn't believe what he was hearing. The despair in Koo's voice could not be completely faked. He most likely really spent some time every day touching himself while Jimin was at work.
"And now," Jimin said, "you're making me wait instead of having fun."
"I'm definitely having fun," Koo smirked. "I can feel you move inside me, you're trying so hard to stay still... That's hilarious."
"Where is my cute loaf of bread?" Jimin whined, pinching his cheek.
"I'm here, I'm right here. And I'm winning."
"Oh, you think so?"
Jimin grabbed Koo by the hips and rolled over, putting him in the position that made him scream his lungs out until Jimin had to cover his mouth. He thrust into him with a hint of shame - this was almost like cheating.
"This... is... unfair!" Koo panted, eyes rolling at the back of his head. "Oh fuck, Jimin-"
But, as Jimin looked at Koo lose his mind and almost wail in ecstasy, he forgot to stay alert. Koo suddenly clenched as hard as Jimin had ever experienced it and stared at him with a devilish grin. He grabbed him by the neck and whispered:
"Sometimes, while I wait for you, I imagine that I'm doing my job on the computer while you're sitting on my cock. And then, when my colleagues want to finally meet me, I turn on the webcam and they all see you on my lap."
Jimin's hips stuttered and he lost the fight. He expected to feel despair washing over him as he came and moaned, but only relief flooded his veins. God, he had never delayed an orgasm so much in his life. He felt absolutely exhausted, but in the best way. Koo chuckled.
"That's a funny thing to lose a bet with," Koo said. "You want people to see you on the webcam?"
"No, it's... the way you said it."
"That was the goal... Well, finish your job, now!"
Jimin whined so pitifully that Koo giggled and wrapped his hand around his cock.
"I think you weren't used to the dirty talk, that was unfair. I'll help you a little."
Jimin kissed him softly and rolled his hips slowly, trying to ignore the electric waves going through his lower half. It was definitely too much. Koo finally came with a long growl, quite unusual for him, and they both collapsed on their side.
"Fuck," Jimin breathed out. "I don't know what kind of demon possessed you, but that was too much."
"I don't know either... When I saw you eat my crumbs..."
"You really have a weird need for me to eat you, Koo. I'm glad you didn't have a libido yet when you made garlic knots out of your shoulder and watched me eat them."
"I think about this moment quite often when I'm alone..."
Koo blushed, and Jimin smiled to himself. That was a lifetime of roleplaying possibilities after buying some bread at the local bakery. They lay in each other's arms until lunch, kissing innocently and reminiscing what had happened ever since they met.
"Do you remember when you stood in the corridor for a few minutes waiting for me and I freaked out?" Jimin asked him.
"Yes, but I understood later why you got scared. I wasn't even wearing a mask, or anything..."
"I wonder what I would have said if a neighbour had seen you. 'Yes, this person is made of bread'?"
"They would have been jealous, for sure."
Jimin smiled and hugged him lovingly. Everyone could be jealous of their relationship. He had no doubt about it. Then, Koo whimpered and held his stomach.
"It's time to eat."
"What would you like Seokjin to cook for you?"
"No cooking. Sushi."
x
Seokjin had never looked more proud. His satisfaction was contagious, and Namjoon was beaming too.
"Do you like the taste? "Seokjin asked Koo.
Koo nodded eagerly, performing his own version of stuffing his stomach with very tiny bites. Taehyung, Yoongi and Hoseok were looking at him with curiosity, sitting across the table.
"How does it feel to have taste?" Taehyung asked. "Do you feel the food when it's travelling?"
"It's incredible," Koo replied. "Impossible to describe."
"I want to get soaked in water to get my own stomach," Yoongi said.
"That's scary!" Hoseok exclaimed. "What if it goes wrong?"
"You should wait until you develop other features," Namjoon said. "Koo was able to feel, cry, sleep, he grew a brain and lungs... You should all respect the same chronology, just in case."
"He's right," Jimin said.
"Scientists. " Seokjin sighed.
"Can we go back to the kitchen?" Taehyung asked.
It turned out that all three new breads could not stop cooking and baking all day long - and most of the night, since they still did not need to sleep.
"I don't know what to make you cook!" Seokjin cried. "You cook, again and again, and none of you eat it! What am I supposed to do with all that food?"
"You don't have the mind of a businessman," Taehyung replied.
Seokjin dropped his chopsticks and gasped.
"Me? Not a businessman? Don't you know how many restaurants I have opened abroad?"
"And you could open another one... with us as cooks."
Seokjin's eyes narrowed. He was listening carefully.
"Tell me more."
"Well... It's obvious that we won't be able to move in with Jimin and Koo next week, right? I don't know what their flat looks like, but maybe they want us to have our own lives."
"That would be difficult, yes," Koo said. "I feel awkward saying that after making you, but that's definitely something I didn't think about. You could stay until we find a solution, though, obviously!"
"Absolutely," Jimin nodded. "As long as you're not noisy at night, I really don't mind. We actually sleep, so no cooking all night long!"
"You won't need to keep us around," Yoongi said. "Listen. We could all three of us become cooks in a new restaurant created by Seokjin. We would always stay hidden in the kitchen, and we could have a flat upstairs, something like that."
"Please!" Hoseok shouted, smiling brightly. "That would be so amazing!"
They all waited for Seokjin's answer, and he blushed.
"Why not, indeed? We would need to pick a country where it's extremely impolite to visit the kitchen when you're a customer, though. No one should see you, no one."
"France?" Taehyung proposed.
"How do you know that?" Seokjin asked.
"I use your computer at night."
"Hey! Don't do that!"
They all laughed and imagined what the future restaurant would look like. Jimin's heart felt warm. Everyone could get their happy ending, despite the complexity of the situation. It was then decided that, in the meantime, the three breads would stay at Namjoon and Seokjin's house to be trained as cooks.
Jimin had way too many questions in store, though. He was relieved, but not entirely at ease. What if all three of them became horny like Koo? Would they be able to find love with someone human? They were handsome, but the whole bread thing was not a tiny detail. Maybe not a lot of people would accept dating a cinnamon roll in secret. Maybe it can't stay secret. Maybe the whole world will know, eventually.
"Do you want to take a walk?" Koo asked him.
Jimin knew he had been foolish to imagine that Koo would not notice his inner turmoil. They had a way to understand each other in silence. Jimin nodded and left the restaurant with Koo, holding his hand as soon as they stepped outside.
"Why are you stressed?" Koo asked, tightening his hold around Jimin's fingers.
"I just thought that there is no way we can all hide forever. Someone will notice, someday, and you will all be at risk of being... I don't know, studied by scientists beyond your own initial consent."
"We all know that it might happen," Koo said flatly. "I'm not scared."
"How can you not be? I'm terrified of losing you! And all of them, Taehyung, Hoseok, Yoongi... I don't know how to protect them!"
"Let's not imagine the worst before it happens, okay?" Koo told him, holding his hand more tenderly. "We will do our best, it's too late to wonder if it was a good idea or not to be born."
Jimin caressed his space buns with a sad smile.
"It was a good idea. I'm scared of the media, that's all."
"I get it. Maybe I need to become a more powerful journalist, then. And I can assure you that no one would trust an info coming from an unknown person saying that they saw someone made of bread. We'll be safe for years, at least."
Jimin wanted to believe him. His brain was not ready to let this fear go, but he had to try. Koo was the main person who had to worry about it, and Jimin had worked hard during the past year to stop imposing his anxiety on him. He would only voice it when Koo would need him to prove he cared.
"It's going to be okay," Koo insisted.
"I know. I trust you."
Koo smiled and led him to the forest, where they had finally kissed after their hellish week. They sat on a fallen tree and listened to the birds, the wind blowing through the leaves. They were at peace, holding hands, beaming at each other.
"I'm glad we're here," Koo said. "Together, in this beautiful country."
"I wish I could show you Tokyo, though... Maybe we could go when it's cold, so your attire wouldn't look suspicious."
"I'm not sure I'd like to go, it's stressful to see more than ten people in the same place!"
Jimin grinned and kissed him gently.
"We'll find another destination, then."
"One of my colleagues is Peruvian," Koo whispered." It could be nice to go there..."
"Does your colleague know you're made of bread?"
"No, but something tells me that she wouldn't mind."
"Let's keep that idea in mind, then. Maybe Seokjin will want to open another restaurant in Peru, you never know."
x
They spent the rest of the week taking long walks and sharing food. The days were not as peaceful as they seemed, though. Taehyung, Yoongi and Hoseok started showing random outbursts of humanity, to the point it was hard to imagine what would happen next. The order was completely different from what Koo had gone through.
"How does it feel to have skin?" Taehyung asked with urgency at dinner.
Hoseok looked extremely smug. He flicked his arm playfully and gasped.
"Ouch! I hurt myself!"
"That's what you deserve for bragging so hard," Yoongi said.
"You can talk!" Taehyung whined. "You can smell, lucky you!"
"Indeed," Yoongi replied. "Seokjin's food smells so good... I feel very lucky."
"I hate you both!" Taehyung cried.
A single tear rolled down his cheek. Hoseok cooed and hugged him tightly. The smell of cinnamon roll surrounded Jimin's nose, and he was starting to feel dizzy.
"You can cry!" Hoseok exclaimed. "Please don't cry, Tae-Tae!"
"That's the only thing I can do so far, so I will do it again!"
Taehyung shed tears for the entire evening until he fell asleep of exhaustion, which gave Namjoon and Seokjin whiplash.
"When will it end?" Seokjin sighed.
"I want to sleep too!" Yoongi groaned. "But.. I can't feel it. I don't feel tired. I don't know what it is."
"Can we cook while Taehyung sleeps?" Hoseok asked.
Jimin left the restaurant with Koo before Seokjin could let out the longest sigh of his life.
"You're leaving me with your kids!" he shouted playfully.
"Good luck!" Koo replied, trying to hide his grin.
"Brat!"
Jimin and Koo hid under the covers of their bed and cuddled tenderly.
"Poor Seokjin, "Jimin said.
"I know... It's hard to know how long he will accept helping us."
"Oh, most likely forever. Namjoon looked amused. He knows when Seokjin is in distress, and that wasn't the case."
"If you say so... And me? What would be the next step?"
Jimin kissed his neck softly. He could hear him crisp a little under his hands, and breathe against his cheek.
"I don't think there's anything missing in you, Koo. You're the most perfect bread."
"You always say that-"
"And you know I'm right. This time, you can't even say that you're the only bread in the world."
Koo chuckled.
"That's true... Well, there is something that would make me better, actually. I wish my limbs could grow back, just like they did before I could feel the heat of the oven."
"We will continue to be very careful, Koo."
"I wish you could, I don't know, eat my fingers."
"You exhaust me! Stop thinking about getting eaten!"
Koo peppered kisses on his cheeks.
"I was joking, Jimin. Don't worry."
"It's starting to sound like you're very serious!"
"Nah, I'm fine. Don't worry. You know what would be nice, though? If I had actual hair. I could style it..."
"What about a wig, in the meantime?"
Koo let out a gasp.
"I can't believe I had never thought about it! what colour would suit me the best?"
Jimin hummed lightly as he thought about it.
"Maybe cherry red?"
"Cherry red?" Koo repeated. "I want to try... When do we go back home?"
"In two days."
"Oh…," Koo said sadly. "Already?"
"I don't think I can stay longer, I can't work from a computer... Sorry, bun."
"It's fine. I was just surprised. Can we go back to the onsen, tomorrow? I promise I'll stay away."
"Only if you don't get all feisty, then! I won't deal twice with a soggy boyfriend."
"What about..."
Koo slipped away from the bed, and Jimin heard him rummage through his luggage on the floor. He frowned and pushed the sheets away from his face.
"What are you-"
Koo was staring at him, holding a little box. Jimin was instantly breathless. He knew what was going to happen, and he had never dared to imagine it. He couldn't dream of it, too scared of being disappointed by real life. Koo's legs started shaking.
"Oh, I'm- I'm sorry, maybe it wasn't a good idea, I overstepped-"
"Go on," Jimin murmured." Please, go on."
Koo took a deep breath. He looked so unsure that Jimin wanted to hold him.
"Jimin... I know we can't do it officially because I have no civil existence, even though I found a job- not sure that's even legal, if I'm being honest..."
"Most likely not."
"Most likely not... I don't want to only be your non-soggy boyfriend. I want to pretend that we are husbands , even though there are no papers. Jimin... will you marry me in your head?"
Jimin wanted to laugh, but he burst into tears instead.
"Of course!" he cried." Of course I'll be your husband!"
They put on the rings that Koo had bought and admired each other's hand.
"I can't believe it," Jimin sobbed. "That's..."
"Do you like it?" Koo asked.
"I don't think there's a word strong enough to express how much I love it..."
"I was so scared... I love you so much, hubby."
Jimin fell into his arms with the widest grin, still crying.
"I love you more, bread hubby."
