He grips the yellow collar of that shirt, dragging Chris away from the roaring current and to his chest. Once they’re safe and secure in the center of the truck, he lets himself breathe.
“Ok,” Buck chokes. “We’re just gonna sit like this for a while, alright?”
Christopher nods, holding him just as tight. “Sounds good.”
OR
Buck catches Chris before he falls into the water. Now, it's up to him to get them through the carnage of the tsunami and back to his father. At any cost.

Summary
Eddie Diaz has his hands full. He lost his home in the tsunami, he's been transferred to the 118 during the aftermath, and the man who saved Chris and Abuela is still unconscious in the ICU. And now, on top of everything, he's finding post-it notes in someone else's writing reminding him of things nobody else in the world could know about, in places only he has been.

Buck slightly sways on his feet and a mumbled word leaves his lips. "Catch me."
And Buck's knees go weak as his eyes flutter close, for the second time today.
Almost like an instinct, Eddie takes one full step and holds Buck— Buck's head lolling against his chest and his form completely pliant, and he makes the two of them sit on the ground.

Summary
There’s a groan behind him, and Bobby’s stomach drops for an entirely different reason.
His head jerks in the direction of the noise — his back protesting at the sudden movement — as he prays desperately that he’s somehow wrong, that the knock he took to the head is making him hear things. But of course, as his eyes bounce around the destroyed remnants of the building, he sees the only thing that could make his fear ratchet up even more.
